Bush is a British rock band formed in London in 1992, achieving huge success in the 1990s with their post-grunge sound and hit singles such as Comedown, Glycerine and Machinehead, despite being less known in their native UK compared to the United States where they sold over 10 million records. Fronted by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Gavin Rossdale, the band found immediate success with their 1994 debut album, Sixteen Stone, which went on to sell over 10 million copies worldwide.
Tomorrow, July 18 acclaimed UK grunge rockers Bush deliver their 10th album ‘I Beat Loneliness’. It’s a powerful statement on isolation, mental health and life’s complexities. “I hope it’s a worthy gift to people,” Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale tells us. It’s a soundtrack for those fighting to find connection and meaning in an increasingly fractured world.
Gavin has been a busy boy, not only with the creation of this new album and touring with Bush but also attending and and playing tennis matches and producing a cooking show, in which he cooks and dines with celebrity friends.
Ahead of the release of Bush’s ‘I Beat Loneliness’ album, Rossdale chats with Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips about the record’s creation, what it means to him and hopefully what it can offer fans. He also let it slip that Bush look like touring Australia in February 2026. Of course that’s yet to be confirmed by a promoter.
