Melbourne Singer-Songwriters Duet On Cinematic New Single Rainy Weather
Melbourne singer-songwriters Aimee Isobel and Connor Stanton have joined forces to release their powerful ballad, Rainy Weather. A song about finding and losing someone, only to then find yourself. Rainy Weather begins with the tortured reflections of Connor looking back on how personal trauma overshadowed their relationship. The song then takes a soaring turn when Aimee takes centre stage with a depth and feel reminiscent of Katie Noonan.

Watch the striking video, directed and edited by Aimee, here https://youtu.be/z77at7E5VDs?si=cf6qKlLKyU_3lvGtTrading verses and coming together on the choruses, Aimee and Connor have brought a cinematic feel to Rainy Weather, with some radio and TV taste-makers already suggesting that it should be in a movie.
On Rainy Weather, Aimee comments; “Connor and I started recording Rainy Weather back in February this year. At first, I thought Connor just wanted me to sing one of his verses, then he told me I’d have my own — and I ended up writing my solo parts that same day in about 10 minutes, so, very proud of that moment!
We spent the whole day recording and had so much fun — it was the start of a great friendship too. Later in the year, I came up with the idea to make a music video (sorry Connor for not warning you about the full concept then, aha). I wrote and directed it, and we filmed everything over four days, including at the incredible venue Stay Gold in Brunswick— thank you so much Matt for letting us use the space!
I wanted the visuals to show the story behind the song: a couple who start off close but slowly drift apart. I’m so proud of this whole project and everyone involved. Go stream it, watch the video, and maybe play it next time it rains xx
Much love, Aimee
P.S. I now have my very own record label, Enchanted Records, which I am SO happy about, and proud of, too!”
Aimee Isobel has been lighting up stages for the past year, her mesmerising voice and magnetic charm winning over crowds wherever she goes. At just 18 years old, Aimee pairs a maturity beyond her years with an undeniable spark. Beginning 2025 with a celebrated opening spot on Wheatus frontman Brendan B Brown’s acoustic solo tour and followed by supports for Australian INXS and Bon Jovi tribute shows, Aimee has played to a diverse range of crowds that are left captivated by her honesty, endearing stage presence and stunning voice.

Hardline Media are proud to announce, direct from the USA, one of the world’s most legendary and influential bands, the mighty POSSESSED. Possessed will be headlining 4 shows on their “40th Anniversary Seven Churches Tour” in October 2025, taking in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne (Halloween night) and Canberra.
Noted for their fast style of playing and Jeff Becerra’s growled vocals, they are often called the first band in the Death Metal genre, who paved the way for the 1980s Bay Area Thrash Metal scene, along with METALLICA, EXODUS, TESTAMENT and DEATH ANGEL. The band is also notable for featuring future PRIMUS member Larry LaLonde, who was the guitarist for Possessed from 1984 to 1987, during their most famed era.
Known for their 2 groundbreaking albums, Seven Churches (1985), Beyond The Gates (1986), and their EP The Eyes Of Horror (1987), POSSESSED have always been known as one of the most important bands from the original Death/Thrash Metal scene. After a long hiatus, the band returned on Nuclear Blast with Revelations Of Oblivion (2019). Critics praised the album and Becerra’s return, with Blabbermouth calling the album “a monstrous reaffirmation of this absurdly influential band’s original ethos that it almost defies belief”. Also from famed critic Max Morin, “Possessed deserve to be spoken of in the same breath as BLACK SABBATH and METALLICA when it comes to influence. Simply put, nobody does this as well as them and probably no one ever will. Revelations of Oblivion was exactly the reminder we all needed”.
POSSESSED will absolutely destroy on these shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, with Melbourne taking place on Halloween, a night for the books indeed. Come Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Seven Churches in Australia, a once in a lifetime opportunity and hear all the old classics. Be There. See you in hell!!

The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton (AVTT/PTTN): Feel the heat of “Heaven’s Breath” with new single from New album AVTT/PTTN due out November 14 via Thirty Tigers, Ramseur Records and Ipecac Recordings
The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton have released new single “Heaven’s Breath,” the final advance offering from their new collaborative album AVTT/PTTN, out November 14 via Thirty Tigers in association with Ramseur Records and Ipecac Recordings. The fuzzy rock’n’roll track was Scott Avett’s first contribution to AVTT/PTTN project — an initial offering to “crank the saw a little bit.”
Filled with growling ambition, “Heaven’s Breath” introduces a heaviness to their upcoming album AVTT/PTTN, which is composed of eight original songs written by the three artists together (plus one folk traditional) and produced by Mike, Scott, and Grammy-winning engineer Dana Nielsen (Metallica, Rihanna). Seth likens the fiery song to Mr. Bungle’s “Retrovertigo,” and as the legendary frontman of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle, Mike naturally delivers a signature dynamic vocal performance.
Listen to the single “Heaven’s Breath” HERE.
For the Avetts, working with Patton was more than just a new collaboration — it was a full-circle moment. “Mike’s part of our DNA, like the fabric of our youth,” says Scott. “Literally, we studied him. He’s a dear friend now, but when we were younger, I was imitating him.” Patton adds, “My peculiar challenge in this was to become a long distant cousin. A brother that was orphaned. Maybe they kept him in the chicken coop or some shit. They brought him out years and years later.”
AVTT/PTTN opens with the gentle acoustic guitar of “Dark Night of My Soul,” where Patton’s seasoned croon merges with the Avetts’ voices for a rich three-part harmony. Elsewhere, the driving fuzz of “Heaven’s Breath” and the scuzzy stomp of the folk classic “The Ox Driver’s Song” push the Avetts into new sonic terrain, while showcasing Patton’s trademark dynamic range. Each track reflects the unusual way the record was built — songs sketched by Scott, reshaped by Patton, and then reimagined again with Seth — a process that gave the music its distinct character and balance. Listen to the lead single “Eternal Love” HERE.
What emerged from this partnership is a collision of worlds. AVTT/PTTN is Scott, Seth, and Mike at their most adventurous, writing and singing together without boundaries, and carving out a space that’s entirely their own.
Pre-order / pre-save AVTT/PTTN (out November 14, 2025) HERE.

About The Avett Brothers
Four-time GRAMMY Award nominees The Avett Brothers made mainstream waves with their critically acclaimed 2009 major label debut, I and Love and You. In 2012, The Carpenter hit #4 on the Billboard 200, followed by Magpie and the Dandelion in 2013, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200. The 2017 documentary May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers (co-directed by Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio) chronicles the process of writing 2016’s True Sadness, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Albums, #1 on Rock Albums, #3 on the Billboard 200, and scored two Grammy nominations. The film was released theatrically and on HBO to rave reviews and is available on DVD/BluRay/VOD. In 2019, the band released their tenth studio album Closer Than Together featuring the single “High Steppin’” which reached #1 on the Americana Radio Singles Chart. The Third Gleam came out amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums, #1 Rock Albums, #1 Vinyl Albums, and the single “Victory” hit #1 on the Americana Radio Singles Chart. This year saw the release of The Avett Brothers, an album that is as much untitled as it is self-titled: a collection of songs that revealed themselves naturally over time. Swept Away – a musical inspired by & featuring the music of The Avett Brothers – recently debuted on Broadway. The Avett Brothers have been inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and have earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. They are currently on tour throughout the US.
About Mike Patton
Mike Patton is a Renaissance man in the truest sense of the word. From his time spent with genre-defying alternatives acts like Faith No More and Mr. Bungle, to his multitude of collaborations including the deconstructed-pop of Peeping Tom, the rock-centric Tomahawk, and the Italian language orchestral classics he covered with Mondo Cane. His career has also ventured in film composing for movies such as Crank: High Voltage and A Place Beyond The Pines, voice acting in I Am Legend and multiple video games, and starting his own record label, Ipecac Recordings, showing there is no limit to what Patton can do.
PARIS WELLS & FINLEY FRANÇOIS set to celebrate the release of their collaborative album ‘LOUNGE OF THE FLAMINGO’ at Melbourne launch
Acclaimed Melbourne-based songwriters Paris Wells & Finley François are gearing up to debut their new project – set to play through their album ‘Lounge Of The Flamingo’ for the very first time on the 27th of November at George Lane in Melbourne. Released in August this year, ‘Lounge Of The Flamingo’ is a lush, Latin-inspired lounge masterpiece. Drawing subtle influences from Nouvelle Vague, Astrud Gilberto, and Cesária Évora, the project highlights Wells’ & Francois’ versatility, refined artistry and a 20-year working partnership.
Paris Wells has had a career full of achievements and milestones over the last two decades. She’s supported the likes of Rod Stewart, Justin Timberlake, Robyn & Plan B on tour and played at festivals such as Falls Festival, Big Day Out, Meredith, Sydney Music Festival and the 2010 AFL Grand Final. She has collaborated with international DJs such as Kaz James, and made TV appearances on Spicks & Specks, Adam Hills In Gordon Street, Good News Week & Rockwiz. She toplined for Bliss N’ Eso’s ‘Field of Dreams’, taken from the ARIA Award winning album ‘Flying Colours’ (2012) and shot to worldwide fame with her single ‘Overbite’ which was used by Elie SaaB for their Cannes Film Festival campaign in 2014. To this day she has over 1 millions streams to her name, across her catalogue. Finley “pHinioUS” François, originally from the picturesque shores of Mauritius and now based in the vibrant hub of Naarm, is a multifaceted artist in music. His journey, marked by curiosity and creativity, began with spinning vinyl at parties and has evolved into crafting a rich tapestry of sounds as a DJ, producer, and musician. His early career included airplay on Kiss FM and being part of Fizard, one of Australia’s pioneering live hip hop groups that won Triple J’s Unearthed competition in 2003. Over the years he has been commissioned to write music for various shows and installations, including projects for NICA and Arts Access; has performed at iconic festivals such as Mona Foma, the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Cabaret Festival, St Kilda Festival, and Womadelaide; & has shared the stage and collaborated with artists such as GrandMaster Flash, Chris Brown, Rod Stewart, Kelly Rowland and most recently Snoop Dogg at the 2025 AFL Grandfinal along with the likes of Jessica Mauboy, Tash Sulatana and Baker Boy.
‘Lounge Of The Flamingo’ sees the pair hitting new heights collaboratively – with a sexy-stillness and persistent groove throughout the LP that doesn’t force the big moments, but reels you in with a confident calmness and attention to detail. Wells and François were a well-oiled machine at the time of recording, with Wells’ explaining “The team in this project was so solid and the happy musical partnership with Finley really shines through, we are a the point of finishing each others sentences, that shit takes time, this is my/our best body of work yet.”
Thematically, the album is less social commentary, and more of a reflection of Wells’ life right at this moment; “this time I was determined to capture not only humor, but calm and passion and family. I refuse to make any more ‘sad vagina’ music, I’m a happily married mum, shit can be hard but I want to give people the calm we all strive for. The Lounge of the Flamingo cares not about your social pages, Kardashian cages and your friends with strangers. It cares not about keeping up with the Joneses, or running away with the crowd. The Lounge only asks for your calm, so sit back, relax and enjoy the journey.”
Recorded live at the Frying Pan Studios housed within the iconic MONA gallery in Tasmania, Wells was pregnant throughout the session – described by the pair as ‘sitting down like a ripe queen’ throughout the process. The album also features vocals from Kylie Audist (the Bamboos, Cookin’ on 3 Burners) on ‘Down In Mexico’, as well as a string composition from renowned Tasmanian composer Dean Stevenson & his orchestra for ‘Strange Days’.
Talking on that time writing and recording at MONA, François comments;“What’s not to love about Afro Latin music! Paris and I spent many years backstage & on the road speaking about a jazz base album as a side project, but that didn’t stick for me. When the opportunity to record at the newly built Frying Pan Studio, Paris mentioned she’d been diggin’ some lounge vibe tunes. I said “yes” let’s do that! Flamingo was born! My journey on piano started with Afro Latin jazz music so it was a beautiful place to return too, our reinterpretations of the covers was a dope process- rock to lounge! There’s always a positive energy in this genre, a celebration of all that is life!
Tickets for their launch show in Melbourne on the 27th of November are available now. On what fans can expect from the special performance, the duo say; “Think Peggy Lee meets Karen Meets Astrid Gilburto. Lounge of the flamingo could easily be Bad Bunnies Aussie warm up band without wanting to speak to the manager after”

THE LAST DINNER PARTY ANNOUNCES SPECIAL GUEST SIR CHLOE . NEW ALBUM “FROM THE PYRE” DROPS TOMORROW. NEW SINGLE “SECOND BEST” OUT NOW
Following a year of sold-out shows around the globe, The Last Dinner Party are returning to Australia in January 2026, with special guest Sir Chloe joining the tour for shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. TICKETS ON SALE NOW
The announcement lands alongside the London five-piece’s latest single, “Second Best”, lifted from their highly anticipated second album, From The Pyre, which drops 17th October 2025.
Sir Chloe
Sir Chloe is the moniker of musician and artist Dana Foote, known for blending grungy guitar hooks, sharp pop instincts, and a distinctive, emotionally raw vocal style, channeling artists like PJ Harvey, David Byrne, and Radiohead. Her stage presence has been compared to the likes of a “disheveled businessman after a long day,” and a “drunk uncle.” Her debut EP Party Favors (2020) is taut and emotionally charged, sitting between mainstream ambition and experimental edge and has amassed nearly a billion streams and multiple gold records.
The Last Dinner Party headed into the studio early 2025 with Grammy Award winning producer Markus Dravs (Wolf Alice, Florence & The Machine, Bjork) to start work on the follow-up to their number 1 debut album, 2023’s Prelude to Ecstasy. From The Pyre is the sound of a band having a lot of fun rather than feeling any innate pressure to follow-up on what was an explosively successful debut record. It’s also the sound of a young band developing and maturing their songwriting together, as tight a unit as the endless months out on the road pay testament to.
Speaking about the LP, the band said: “This record is a collection of stories, and the concept of album-as-mythos binds them. ‘The Pyre’ itself is an allegorical place in which these tales originate, a place of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light.
“The songs are character driven but still deeply personal, a commonplace life event pushed to pathological extreme. Being ghosted becomes a Western dance with a killer, and heartbreak laughs into the face of the apocalypse. Lyrics invoke rifles, scythes, sailors, saints, cowboys, floods, Mother Earth, Joan of Arc, and blazing infernos. We found this kind of evocative imagery to be the most honest and truthful way to discuss the way our experiences felt, giving each the emotional weight it deserves.”
“This record feels a little darker, more raw and more earthy; it takes place looking out at a sublime landscape rather than seated an opulent table. It also feels metatextual and cheeky in places, like a knowing look reflected back at ourselves.”
With two BRIT Awards to their name (including Breakthrough Artist earlier this year), and having sold out virtually every show they played right across the globe (including three sold-out hometown shows at London’s Eventim Apollo), The Last Dinner Party’s arrival and subsequent worldwide success was one of the most thrilling introductions to a new British band in decades, and From The Pyre’s opening introduction suggests that unparalleled success story shows no signs of relenting.

COURTNEY BARNETT RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO “STAY IN YOUR LANE” VIA FICTION RECORDS
+ PLAYING THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JIMMY FALLON ON OCTOBER 22ND
+ HEADLINING TRIPLE J’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW IN HOBART
GRAMMY-nominated Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett makes an exciting return with her brand new single, “Stay In Your Lane.”, the first release under Courtney’s new signing to Fiction Records. The song kicks off her next musical chapter and is the first new material since the surprise instrumental record “End Of The Day” and her first new ‘song’ since the critically acclaimed album “Things Take Time, Take Time”. Stay In Your Lane proves once again why Barnett is not only one of the most innovative songwriters of her time but hands down one of the most impressive rock guitarists of her generation. .
The track, brimming with a ferocious rhythm section and raucous guitar riffage, features Barnett’s signature evocative lyricism. “Gotta get this off my chest” she chants in the chorus, “This never would’ve happened if I stayed in my lane, stayed the same way.” Not for the faint-hearted, filmmaker Alex Ross Perry (Pavements) is behind the at times squeamish new video for “Stay In Your Lane” which can be seen below.
Barnett is set to join Triple J as they celebrate their 50th year anniversary. Leading the Hobart show on 15 November, she will be joined by Luca Brasi, Emily Wurramara and Gordon’s Grandson for one night only at the Odeon.
She has been quietly making her live return, and will be returning to screens on October 22nd, performing the new single on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
ABOUT COURTNEY BARNETT
In the hands of Courtney Barnett, fragments of everyday life become rich and riveting. A deft lyricist and virtuosic guitarist with inimitable musicianship, Barnett first found critical acclaim with 2013’s The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas and broke into the mainstream in 2015 with her debut album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit. Garnering a coveted Best New Artist Grammy nomination and numerous other accolades including Saturday Night Live, the album stands as a generational classic. Barnett followed her debut with 2017’s Lotta Sea Lice, an acclaimed collaborative record with Kurt Vile, and eschewed the vignettes of her early records on 2018’s Tell Me How You Really Feel, her humid, political sophomore record, which featured the Margaret Atwood-invoking single “Nameless, Faceless”. In 2021, she released Things Take Time, Take Time, a remarkable artistic step forward.

JOEL LEGGETT unveils new single ‘LIFETIME OF LOVE’ Ahead of fourth studio album LOVE GAME, out OCTOBER 30TH
The silky smooth vocals and beautifully poignant lyricism of Central Coast favourite Joel Leggett are here and ready to carry us forward into the warmer months. His latest single, ‘Lifetime Of Love’, arrives as a final sneak peek into his upcoming fourth studio album Love Game, which is released on Thursday October 30th.
Today’s release, ‘Lifetime Of Love’, is a vivid and deeply moving single written in honour of Joel’s own father. On the stories which are so beautifully folded into the layers of this stunning track, he explained:
“‘Lifetime of Love’ is about finding light after loss. It tells the story of my dad and his siblings growing up in Sydney, getting up to mischief, and not knowing what was ahead. For me, it’s about resilience, family, and the unexpected ways love can show up in life. Musically, I wanted to blend that nostalgic 70s/80s Australian summer feel with my folk roots style; creating something warm, honest, and cinematic.” JOEL LEGGETT
And cinematic it is indeed. A lifetime of vignettes; moments chosen and illustrated with such painstaking and personal detail — ‘Lifetime Of Love’ effortlessly balances a sunny sonic perspective with a sense of raw, evocative nostalgia.
“I started Lifetime of Love by writing and recording every part at home, which gave me space to shape the story before stepping into the studio. Once I brought it in, the song really came to life, layering textures, refining the sound, and making sure it carried that nostalgic summer energy I was chasing. It was a process of translating family stories into music, and that made it one of the more personal songs I’ve created.” JOEL LEGGETT
Having spent much of 2025 wading out into newer waters beyond his folk roots, exploring the worlds of indie rock and pop on singles such as ‘Should’ve Known Better’, ‘Light In The Dark’, and most recently ‘Other Side Of Town’, Joel Leggett is locked and loaded with a truly masterful collection of tunes which have emerged straight from the heart on his new album Love Game.
A seasoned performer whose charm and talent translate flawlessly between studio and live performances alike, Joel has previously supported artists including San Cisco, The Dreggs, The Rions, Pacific Avenue, You Am I, The Terrys and more. Soon, he will hit the stage for a run of his own headline shows, in celebration of the upcoming record.
“I’m so excited to hit the road for the Love Game tour… These are some of my biggest headline shows yet, and I can’t wait to bring each song to life on stage, share these stories with fans, and create an unforgettable experience for everyone in the room. Playing with a full band really lets the new music shine, and I’m looking forward to connecting with audiences across Australia.” JOEL LEGGETT

PORTLAND’S THE MACKS SNAP BACK INTO REALITY IN OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR “CYPHER SORE EYES” — WATCH
NEW ALBUM BONANZA OUT NOW VIA DEVILDUCK RECORDS / FULLAWAY— LISTEN
ON TOUR ALONGSIDE ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE — SEE ALL DATES HERE
Fresh off a whirlwind release of their irreverent new album Bonanza, Portland, Oregon’s The Macks share the official music video for “Cypher Sore Eyes.” This standout cut from the recent record is a droning, dissonant and disillusioned track where they question how we are supposed to move about life when every action seems to support a cause we don’t stand behind.
In the video, directed by Jake Thiessan and shot on 16mm and Super 8, we see The Macks in raw form; trudging through their hometown haunts, gear in hand. “The goal was to show our appreciation for Portland and showcasing the areas that we see every day, not your standard tourist locations,” shared vocalist Sam Fulwiler. “It’s also a vibe piece that shows us wearing what we actually wear on stage, which was a nice contrast to the first video [“Dually of Man” / “The Modern Grape”] which has us dressed in a way that we never do with hi-fi production.”
WATCH THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR “CYPHER SORE EYES”
LISTEN TO BONANZA
In a hard-driving suite of 11 tracks, the new record covers everything from the disillusionment of existing in the current state of affairs to the doldrums of the suburban lifestyle. Topics that they had to move away from to eventually get close to, Bonanza is The Macks in raw, unfiltered form.
Guitarist Ben Windheim shared, “We had a very strong vision for ‘Bonanza.’ With ‘The Macks Are A Knife,’ we explored a maximalist approach, writing tons of songs and creating dense arrangements. With ‘Bonanza,’ we knew the tracklist before we recorded a single note, and we pre-produced the whole thing. It’s not a concept album, but loosely it’s an ‘I am’ statement, showing as completely what The Macks can do as possible. It’s soft, heavy, catchy, heady, fun, devastating, cocky, vulnerable… It’s all about contrast and our lives which comes with the entire range of emotions”
Putting it simply, Fulwiler said, “Bonanza is a slice of life. It’s about boys, girls, and dying.”
The Macks are currently on the road on a jam-packed North American tour supporting Japan’s Acid Mothers Temple. See all upcoming dates here
ABOUT THE MACKS:
Bonanza (bo-nan-za); noun; “a situation or event that creates a sudden increase in wealth or good fortune.” The Macks may have stumbled upon their Bonanza, but there is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. It’s all about the grind, baby! Steam locomotives accelerate faster than this band, every action met with an equal and opposite reaction. For 10 years, The Macks have been collecting disciples one at a time, and now are delivering a record made for them. Focused, scattered, electric and tender, Bonanza is a collection of miscellaneous rock that could only have been crafted by this dedicated and bull-headedly sincere troupe of desperate artists. First time listeners will be met with honest writing, bold production, and a world that invites them to join in on the good fortune – just don’t expect any money.Founded in 2015 in Portland, Oregon, The Macks are brothers Josef (drums) and Ben Windheim (guitar), Sam Fulwiler (vocals), Jacob Michael Perris (keys) and Aidan Harrison (bass). Bonanza is out now via Devil Duck Records / Monotone’s record label fullaway.

THE HARA [feat As December Falls] – Violence (Official Music Video)
Speaking about the electrifying collaboration between THE HARA and As December Falls, Josh shares how it all came together: “When we wrote Violence, we always had in mind that it would be incredible to have a strong female voice on the track to really bring out the two characters and the emotion of what the song is about and when we heard Beth (As December Falls) was interested, we knew it would be a perfect fit. Her high pop punk vocals take it to a whole new level and she absolutely killed it on both the song and the music video.”
This song explores the concept of a two-way toxic relationship, drawn from personal experience. “It’s a love story without a clear villain,” Josh explains. “It’s about two people desperately trying to make something work, even though it was never meant to last. The pain, the hurt, the manipulation—they’ve come to mistake all of it for love. And because of that, they can’t bring themselves to let go.”
You can hear Josh’s aching confession ring out on the song —“I don’t wanna leave when you’re all I’m fighting for”—which is met with Bethany’s biting response: “I thought you loved me, your perfect centerpiece. How could you say that you’d be better off without me?”
Violence follows their previous single, the live-wire Easier to Die, which is about losing hope in the pursuit of success and succumbing to negative thoughts. Heavy and personal entwine, and it’s this that creates the sheer electricity emanating from the band, making them a breathtaking spectacle to watch.
The Fallout allows the band to express themselves in a way that enables them to be supremely honest and open, whilst directing it towards a creative outlet. “Each song is a representation of the suffering I feel internally and how it manifests itself in different ways throughout my everyday life, relationships and as the frontman of THE HARA, having to deal with the chaotic ups and downs of band life that we already face. I’m still learning to find healthy ways to cope with my mental health, but sometimes in the moment, it’s easier to self-destruct, because even if the resulting effect is negative, it’s still better than facing the unknown ‘The Fallout’.”
The Manchester, UK trio – vocalist Josh Taylor, drummer Jack Kennedy and guitarist Zack Breen – create from a place of undistilled, unadulterated intention, and the songs all form the building blocks for their supercharged live shows, the environment where they feel like they blossom into their most authentic, best selves.
Their raucous genre mash-up of alternative rock, metalcore, and emo has already seen them grab the live circuit by the scruff of the neck and pick up support slots with pop-punk giants Sum 41, Nothing More, Escape the Fate and Ice Nine Kills. They’ve exploded across the festival circuit; Download, Slam Dunk, 2000 Trees, Kendal Calling, TRNSMT, Tramlines, Truck, Boomtown Fair and an incredible main stage set at both Reading and Leeds Festival, as well as main stage performances at Rock For People and Mighty Sounds Festival in the Czech Republic.
Talking about the weight of the album at a deeper level, singer Josh opens up, “I struggle massively with self-acceptance and the way I talk to myself in my head. As I get older, I realise it’s something I’ve been dealing with for a very long time, and I’ve just grown accustomed to finding different ways to block it out or protect myself from it externally. It’s been a journey to just be able to say that out loud without feeling guilty because I’ve felt for so long that my mental health was never ‘that bad’, so I internalised so much, which only made things a lot worse than if I had spoken openly about it from the beginning. So, if anything, I really hope this album connects with people who are dealing with similar battles to me and inspires them to express who they are and how they feel without shame.”
“This album is probably the purest, rawest version of us,” asserts Josh. “Musically, lyrically, everything feels the most authentic we’ve been. This is really who we are.”

INTRODUCING DOLDER WITH THEIR DEBUT SINGLE ‘CHARLIE‘ OUT NOW ON EMI
If there’s a special musical synergy that comes from growing up together – sharing experiences, discovering tastes in tandem, and learning to listen to each other – then the connection between Dani and Zara Dolder exists on an entirely different plane. Identical twin sisters, they have been side by side since before they were even born, and now they bring that rare, intuitive harmony to the forefront with the release of their debut single, ‘Charlie’, under the moniker of their surname. Their sound is a captivating blend of close-knit harmonies, timeless songwriting influences, and the emotionally raw, contemporary vocal sensibilities of modern day artists.
For fans of Haim, Alessi Rose, Paris Palmona and Holly Humberstone, the music feels both nostalgic and strikingly current, offering a fresh, harmony-driven take on alt-pop storytelling. Out now via EMI, tune into Dolder’s debut single ‘Charlie’ now via the link below:
Written one rainy Halloween at their home in Newcastle, the girls share how it came to be: “We drove home in the dark, pouring rain replaying the demo from that day over and over again. It just has such a warmth to it. Charlie is a multitude of boys who we have felt heartbroken by.” Over deceptively pretty folk-pop guitars, the sisters navigate lust, disappointment and rage in a way that will feel all-too-familiar for many.
Growing up, the two siblings would spend their childhood days in thrall to their forever-inspirations The Beatles, lost in the timeless melodies of ‘Help!’ and ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ that they’d request on repeat. Now aged 21, they’re still as besotted by the old bands that shaped them (The Beatles; Eagles; the world of Steely Dan, Glenn Campbell and more that lived within the belly of their drummer father’s home jukebox), but they’ve also become devotees of modern female storytelling – from HAIM and Taylor Swift to Gracie Abrams, boygenius and Lola Young. And it’s into the sweet spot of these two ideas that Dolder, and their musically gorgeous, emotionally generous debut release lands.
Next week sees Dolder embark on an eight-date UK tour as support to Ben Ellis, including a show at The Garage in London and Academy in Manchester.

Luca Fogale BRITISH COLUMBIA SINGER-SONGWRITER AND 2X JUNO AWARD NOMINEE ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM CHALLENGER OUT VIA NETTWERK JAN 30, 2026
NEW SINGLE “HORIZON” OUT NOW STREAM | WATCH VIDEO. ANNOUNCES INTIMATE CANADIAN TOUR TO PREVIEW THE ALBUM
Luca Fogale – “Horizon” Stream: lucafogale.ffm.to/horizon
Anthemic indie folk artist Luca Fogale announces his forthcoming album Challenger, due out January 30 via Nettwerk. The album will serve as a follow-up to 2020’s Nothing is Lost and 2023’s Run Where the Light Calls, both of which scored nominations for Best Adult Contemporary Album at Canada’s JUNO Awards.
Challenger, like its predecessors, doubles as an emotional sanctuary. But unlike those releases, there’s now an edge: Here, Fogale, who produced the album himself, grapples with generational patterns, apathy, masculine ideals and social tumult. “There is a lot to be cynical about in this world,” he says. “But I’m trying hard to oscillate to the other side of that — toward trust, toward hope.”
On the album’s creation, he shares: “This album was born out of questioning who I have become and what has shaped me, and in turn, considering how much of my past is no longer serving me — how much I can challenge, and how much I can let go of. The more time I spend engaging with this life, the wider my lens for the world gets. It requires me to reflect on myself and hold myself accountable for who I am. It raises the bar for who I want to be.”
Also today, Luca shares the album’s latest single, “Horizon.” It’s his fifth single of 2025, following “Begin” in April, “Ashes” in June, “Lost Without You” in July and “For” in August. An unabashed love song, it swells into a bright chorus capturing his gratitude for his partner:“Throughout the past few years,” he shares, “I have come to truly understand the depths of the love I’ve received and had the chance to offer, and how it’s given me the ability to know someone (and myself) with greater clarity than I ever thought possible. So many of the moments of joy and optimism that I feel in this life are because I have been pulled from times of darkness by unconditional love, and shown my worth and value through the eyes of someone else.”
The “Horizon” music video brings these ideas to life while also chronicling the evolution of Luca’s relationship with his faith. Raised Catholic, the video portrays Luca’s evolution away from the church and towards a more humanistic faith in love and life itself, which director Michael Makaroff illustrates by having present-day Luca relive childhood memories that shaped his understanding of who/what he could rely on.
A prolific touring artist known for eliciting emotional reactions from fans with warm, gentle vocals and raw, vulnerable lyrics, Luca will treat intimate audiences in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, and Toronto to a stripped-down performance of the album in November ahead of its release. This continues a busy year of touring, in which he’s completed headline tours in North America and Europe, and played six dates as direct support for Hollow Coves. Over his career, he’s played Vancouver’s massive Rogers Arena and shared stages with the likes of Dermot Kennedy, 7X JUNO winner Serena Ryder and Frazey Ford.
MORE ABOUT LUCA
If there’s an ethos driving everything Luca Fogale does, it’s intention. His songs are unpretentious and free of gimmickry — reverberating instead with rich nuance, his whispered vocals hitting like a warm, enveloping breeze. “It’s why I write so slowly,” he confesses. “Every word matters to me.” Just as Hemingway edited out unnecessary words, or minimalist painter Frank Stella became synonymous with the phrase “what you see is what you see,” Fogale, too, endeavors to make art without artifice. This rare mix of skill and restraint is why Fogale — who will release his fourth album, Challenger, on January 30 (Nettwerk) — has a pair of JUNO Adult Contemporary Album of the Year nominations (for 2023’s Run When the Light Calls and 2020’s Nothing Is Lost) and has garnered more than 180 million streams.
Fogale was raised Catholic outside Vancouver, where he still lives. He subsequently learned to play the piano and guitar, which, by his early 20s, became his gospel instead. “My focus, instead of turning to God, was turned inwards; towards a reverence for the human spirit and for this world, and towards a deep exploration of self. In this shift,” he explains, “I have found the depth of gratitude, peace, and faith that I believe I was always looking for.”
Challenger, he shares, was written “mostly in quiet moments between being on the road.” In particular, he’d drive a few hours out of the city to a quiet cabin ensconced deep in the interior of British Columbia. There, he faced his doubts with courage and even wonder. “This album was born out of questioning who I have become and what has shaped me, and in turn, considering how much of my past is no longer serving me — how much I can challenge, and how much I can let go of,” he says. “The more time I spend engaging with this life, the wider my lens for the world gets. It requires me to reflect on myself and hold myself accountable for who I am. It raises the bar for who I want to be.”
If the Challenger process taught him anything, it’s that his most compelling work comes from all-too-human introspection. “For a long time I considered songwriting as a channeling of the cosmos — of extrinsic influence — as though ideas were merely flowing through us,” he says. “But the older I get, the more I’ve come to firmly plant my flag in the belief that all of this artistic expression comes from deep within us: the parts of ourselves that are either the most ready or the most needed for this world.”

DEAN FOREVER Shares new single + Visualiser. “NOT THAT DOOR” Out October 17th
Just in time for spooky season, Australian art rock meets dream pop outfit DEAN FOREVER jump out from their hiding place with Not That Door – a new single that weaves eeriness through a rousing, widescreen alt-rock soundscape.
The track is a taste of the Adelaide outfit’s forthcoming sophomore LP, set to follow a debut album heard from the airwaves of Triple J to the stages of SXSW in Austin and BIGSOUND in Brisbane.
After receiving the demo for Not That Door made by multi-instrumentalist co-writer Jakub Tengdahl, frontwoman Kiah Lanagan immediately recalled The Trap Door and other spooky children’s TV shows she grew up with, and responded to it through writing.
“The meaning of the song grew out of the music first… that atmosphere led to the metaphor that is the song’s main concept: the doors we’re too afraid to open, or which we feel are not open to us,” Kiah says.
“I combined that image with a reflection on the very real and grown-up fear of rejection, failure and the future… together, it became a dreamlike reflection on what holds us back in growth, or even just experience.”
While the verses are delivered delicately with the dreamy, Mitski-esque vocal style integral to the band’s sound, Kiah also enjoyed ramping up into the song’s grungy rock chorus with her jazz inspirations intact.
“The chorus allowed me to lean more into my rocky voice, but channelling more of a theatrical and expressive Cécile McLorin Salvant, almost like an ‘evil narrator’ guiding the story,” Kiah says.
“We played a lot with harmonies, but this song felt strongest with just a single voice – maybe because it needed to stay vulnerable.”
Instrumentally, Jakub then responded in turn to Kiah’s lyrical interpretation by taking the song further into ghostly territory.
“It became clear that there was a kind of nervous, somewhat paranoid energy to the song as a whole, so I ended up doubling down on that and layering the song with some 1950s-60s sci-fi/horror synths,” Jakub says.
“We really enjoy the playfully spooky facade the song now has, with a more serious core beneath the surface… based on pseudo-bossa nova chords from Antônio Carlos Jobim and the grunge energy of Slothrust, two artists I was feeling inspired by at the time.”
“An important new element to our sound is also that it’s become more guitar-centred thanks to Nick Pipe joining the band – among many things, he added reverse guitar to the intro that sets the mood of the song beautifully.”
To create the sound, the band again brought in acclaimed Adelaide-based producer Matt Hills, with mastering from Massachusetts-based Justin Pizzoferrato (Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, Speedy Ortiz, Sebadoh).
The song will be released on all platforms this Friday 17th of October.
ABOUT DEAN FOREVER
South Australia’s female fronted art rock meets dream pop outfit Dean Forever have a nostalgic sound inspired by various contemporary styles – reminiscent of their favourite golden eras in music history such as the 60s (Astrud Gilberto, Burt Bacharach, Wayne Shorter) and the 90s (Broadcast, Mitski, Elliot Smith, The Cranberries). Artists Kiah Lanagan and Jakub Tengdahl sew their jazz background into the lining of their sound that twists and turns from cutting to understanded. With earnest and poetic lyrics, melancholic harmonies, soaring synths and uplifting to syncopated beats. With the latest addition Nick Pipe, the act’s guitar gives an added level of grunge in this new era to their sound.
Dean Forever’s self-titled debut album was released to strong media acclaim – including the premiere of music on Triple J where they were described as “the pop music for musicians” by Triple J legend Richard Kingsill. They have had the pleasure of playing Bigsound and SXSW (Texas) as well as sharing stages with internationally recognised Australian artists including Courtney Barnett, Last Dinosaurs, Velociraptor/Jeremy Neale, Sasquatch, and Ruby Fields. They look forward to releasing new music in the coming months, leading up to their second full length album in early 2026.

MATT CORBY ANNOUNCES HIS NEW ALBUM TRAGIC MAGIC RELEASED FRI MARCH 6th
SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘BURN IT DOWN’
CURRENTLY TOURING WITH TEDDY SWIMS ACROSS AUSTRALIA
MATT CORBY announces his forthcoming album TRAGIC MAGIC will be released Friday March 6th on Island Records/Universal Music – Pre-order Here. Spanning 13 tracks and co-produced with Chris Collins (Royel Otis, Middle Kids, Old Mervs), the album includes debut single ‘Long and Short’ and today’s release, the upbeat second single, ‘Burn It Down.’
A standout moment from Tragic Magic, ‘Burn It Down’ leans further into classic soul, co-written with Meg Mac and Chris Collins. Almost edging on Motown, Matt shares,
“It’s awesome to finally be telling everyone about this album, ‘Tragic Magic’. We’ve been working on it for about 18 months and I’m really proud of it. It’s feels very reflective of where my life is at right now; how my family, my kids are the most important thing and watching them grow up has completely rewired my brain and outlook on life.
‘Burn It Down’ is a track that should make you feel good. Even though it’s based on the difficulties of maintaining something good, whether that be a relationship or your health or just life itself.
A lot of the time we’re fighting a losing battle and odds with our destructive tendencies.
The day I wrote it with Meg Mac and Chris Collin, musically I was having a lot of fun with the track. The beat is sort of simple but it took me so long to make it feel groovy, I had to slow it down like 50% and gradually speed up and up to the tempo that we wanted and finally put it together. I love this track and I hope you do too 🙂 “
The result is a playful, groove-heavy cut that channels vintage energy through a modern lens. Multi-instrumentalist Corby performs drums, bass, piano, percussion, mellotron and vocals on the track, with Meg Mac and Nat Dunn on backing vocals and layered throughout with a string section with the arrangement by Corby, Collins and Stephen Mowat.
With Tragic Magic, the Northern-Rivers based artist continues to resist the pull of trends in favour of timelessness. Expanding on the bruised, low-key beauty of 2023’s Everything’s Fine, songs from the new album find pain and joy and moments of pure fun, in liquid basslines, hushed moments and soaring falsetto. Wrapped in ever more sophisticated soul. Always soul.
Receiving its First Play on triple j Drive, ‘Burn It Down’ is accompanied by a personal visualiser shot by Corby using his cherished Super8 film camera capturing personal footage of his family in Northern NSW.
The critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer, celebrated for his soulful and stirring voice, has firmly cemented his place as a beloved icon in the Australian music landscape. His breakthrough single, ‘Brother’, has been certified 10× Platinum by ARIA and continues to stand as a timeless classic. Corby’s 2023 album Everything’s Fine marked a significant chapter in his artistic and personal evolution, becoming his third consecutive ARIA Top 10 release and earned Album of the Year nominations from both the J Awards and the ARIA Awards.
Matt is currently on tour as special guest for Teddy Swims I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour.

MEGADETH unveil ‘TIPPING POINT’
Legendary metal outfit MEGADETH have unveiled ‘Tipping Point’ as the first single and video from their forthcoming self-titled final album due out in 2026 via DAVE MUSTAINE’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label. The sonically explosive and lyrically unflinching song kicks off with a thunderous guitar solo before DAVE’s iconic voice hauntingly kicks in. In the desolate but hopeful accompanying video, directed by Leonardo Liberti, DAVE is locked up in a prison being tortured in extreme fashion, while the band performs in the same lock-up. In the end DAVE perseveres evil and walks away into a new day. Watch the video HERE and listen to the song HERE.
“We all have different ‘tipping points’ and they may vary from day to day,” says MUSTAINE. “I think we’re all being pushed to the edge right now, and it’s easy to lean into that feeling. But it’s important not to let things get you down.”
MEGADETH—Mustaine, Teemu Mäntysaari (Lead, Rhythm, and Acoustic Guitars), James LoMenzo (Bass Guitar) and Dirk Verbeuren (Drums)—will release their forthcoming self-titled album in 2026. Pre-order the album HERE and stay tuned for more news about the album in the coming weeks.
Earlier this year, MUSTAINE revealed in a social post directly shared with his worldwide fanbase and Cyber Army that the forthcoming album will mark the final studio album from MEGADETH, who’ve sold over 50 million records worldwide and received a GRAMMY® Award (with 12 additional nominations).
He shared the announcement of the album and tour via his alter ego Vic Rattlehead. Also set for next year is a new memoir from MUSTAINE, details of which will be revealed in the coming months.
Fans can click HERE to register for early access to exclusive information and offers surrounding the album and all MEGADETH news. In addition, look for the initial run of farewell tour dates to be announced later this year.
About Megadeth
MEGADETH are always and forever the point of no return for metal. It would be nearly impossible to conceive where heavy music and culture would’ve gone without the band founded, fronted, and fueled by vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Dave Mustaine. The blast radius of their impact has only magnified since 1983. Thus far, they have sold 50 million records worldwide, received a GRAMMY® Award (with 12 additional nominations), generated billions of streams, notched seven Top 10 entries on the Billboard 200, and enthralled millions of diehard fans in arenas and stadiums across the globe. Their catalog spans indisputable classics such as the platinum ‘Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?’ (cited at #8 on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time), the platinum ‘Rust In Peace’, and double-platinum ‘Countdown To Extinction’, which captured #2 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, ‘Dystopia’ notched a Top 3 debut and earned a GRAMMY® Award in the category of Best Metal Performance with its title track. They only upped the ferocity with ‘The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!’ in 2022. It saw them return to #3, receive a Best Metal Performance GRAMMY® Award nomination for ‘We’ll Be Back’, and incite rave reviews.
Their influence can be felt practically everywhere—whether it be Post Malone proudly sporting a tattoo of ‘So Far, So Good… So What!’, Homer Simpson’s iPod displaying their moniker during an episode, or Showtime’s smash hit series Billions and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey utilizing MEGADETH in plot points. The band have delivered simultaneously relevant and timeless records in five decades now, setting the pace for the thrash renaissance of the eighties, tearing through the MTV years of the nineties with swagger and style, maintaining their stride in the post-Y2K 2000s, elevating to canonical heights in the social media and streaming era of the 2010s, and unassumingly harnessing the uncertainty and unease of the Post-Pandemic world into their boldest, biggest, and best work yet.
Along the way, MEGADETH extended their influence even further. During 2016, the band entered the spirits world with their very first signature beer À Tout Le Monde followed by Saison 13 in 2019. The brand asserted itself as a player in the beverage space and impressively moved over 15 million pints. Joining forces with Keystone in 2025, they ignite the next phase of Megadeth Beer on the biggest global platform yet.
Beyond his role as a music icon, Dave founded the visionary wine brand HOUSE OF MUSTAINE which uniquely blends music, culture, and fine winemaking. The brand launched with the 2013 Symphony Interrupted Cabernet Sauvignon which was inspired by Dave Mustaine’s groundbreaking collaboration with the San Diego Symphony.

Thorne Celebrates Queer Joy in Heartbreak with New EP, Fix + and upcoming RnB Side at Section 8
Never afraid to get messy, Thorne drags skeletons out of the closet, dressing them up in rhinestones, and making them dance, revealing all his 4 track work, Fix, out now! Since releasing the EP’s first single ‘Honey’, Thorne has gone from flirtatious fantasy to full-on emotional reckoning with ‘Habitual’, and stripping it right back for feature and title single ‘Fix’. To celebrate, he’s performing at an upcoming show at Section 8 on Wednesday 22 October for RnB Side with DJ FRESHXPRINCESS, Colette and ALiKHA.
A four part celebration of queer joy and heartbreak, Fix opens with recently released single ‘Honey’, a love letter to letting go, getting laid, and living deliciously out loud. If ‘Honey’ is about teasing and turning heads, the next track ‘Habitual’ is about looking yourself in the mirror and asking, Why did I stay? Turning his heartache into polished grooves, ‘Habitual’ is equal parts sad and sexy and for anyone who’s ever confused comfort for love, moving into the next chapter with ‘Honest With Me’, and the clarity that comes as you start to let go. Stripping it back for the title track ‘Fix’; intimate, acoustic, and almost uncomfortably vulnerable, Thorne captures the sex, secrecy, and intensity of early-stage chemistry.
‘‘Fix’ captures the rush of those private moments at the beginning of something intense, before labels, before clarity, before anyone else knows. It’s about giving in, again and again, even when you swore you wouldn’t.” – Thorne
Known in the Naarm music scene as a prolific vocalist with a penchant for writing melodies that make you grind your hips and lick your lips, Thorne’s live show is the inevitable answer to the timeless question “what are you doing tonight?”. Consistently delivering a good time filled with addictive beats and soulful yet spicy lyrics, every audience becomes a willing moth to Thorne’s flame. A proud member of the Naarm queer community, his songs are laden with validation and celebration of love, lust, and empowerment. Following in the footsteps of musical greats such as Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, and Jill Scott, and reincarnating iconic sounds from the 90s + 2000s RnB, Thorne is both honouring his roots while shaping his unique path ahead.
Whether you’re dancing alone in your room, crying in the car, or walking away from someone who never saw your worth, there is something for you on Fix.

Australian punk group Speed Week share new album,Weak Speed via ENDLESS RECORDINGS (AU/NZ) and Erste Theke Tonträger (EU)
Speed Week, the Australian punk group featuring members of Split System and The Brakes, share new album, Weak Speed, out now via ENDLESS RECORDINGS (AU/NZ) and Erste Theke Tonträger (EU).
Weak Speed, the follow-up to Speed Week’s 2020 debut Hey Hey It’s Speed Week (Legless Records), is a ragged, ferocious portrait of post-pandemic Australia, where sycophantic local politicians run riot, housing options are reduced to shoddy, monotonous apartment blocks and technology has steam-rolled over steady employment and innate desires. This is a record of anthemic shout-alongs and hooky, rapid riffs, underpinned by its great tongue-in-cheek humour and propulsive energy.
“Straightforward punky pub rock. Unlike their yobbo contemporaries The Chats or Amyl & the Sniffers, who fall somewhere between a little winky and total caricatures, Speed Week just seems like some lads who wanna get together up the pub and bang out some chunes.”— Maximum Rock’N’Roll
The album was written and recorded slowly over four years, across Melbourne and Tasmania. Despite all the disruptions of the past few years, songs organically emerged from stray bits of lyrics and bursts of guitar sent to one another over Whatsapp. When they could meet up, they would record, with their drummer Andrew Leith Robinson at the helm of production. This recording took place in a friend’s basement, or in a Tasmanian town hall in the middle of nowhere, rented out during the state’s election day. “That was funny, because people kept on coming in to ask if this is where they could vote. And there’s just blankets everywhere and a guy screaming into a microphone,” recalls guitarist Ryan Webb.
“So much has happened in the world, so much change, which is what the record is commenting on. But it’s also for me about living in Tasmania and having kids, and seeing the world in a different way because of these personal changes,” says singer Elliott Patrick Gee. “We tried to take what’s going on around us, and how we are adjusting to it as we’re growing older, and the new challenges that arise from that growth—like housing woes and the cost of living crisis. We’re having a bit of a laugh at what’s happening to us and around us,” adds bass player Brad Mcdermott. This is evident on anarchic album opener ‘Business as Usual,’ a jab at the slogan brandished by Australian politicians and businesses, in the wake of upheaval wrought by Covid. The phrase was supposed to placate the public, but it was a delusional declaration from the powerful to keep citizens spending and adhering to the status quo. The song takes the perspective of a greedy, shady tycoon, who whole-heartedly believes in stomping on the marginalised and accruing as much personal wealth as possible—”I wanna horse and a house / And a house for the horse… It’s Business as usual /Or you’re off to the gallows!” yelps Gee.
‘Subdivision’, which begins with a gurgling bass line that erupts into velocious garage punk, is a sly riff on the crimes of developers, who destroy nature with their ugly, low-quality estate blocks. Webb and Gee were thinking about the fate of their Tasmanian hometown Legana, once lush with apple orchids, now overrun with identical, soulless Hotondo homes. ‘Automate Me’ takes aim at our technological overlords and the job losses caused by automation, replete with a Gang of Four groove. It was written in 2020, but prophetically captures our AI-infused hellscape, and its sexless, deadening effects. ‘White Collar Crime’ continues the droll revulsion, with the band fist-swinging both sonically and lyrically at the typical crook politician – the kind that drops everything for a good photo op and pledges allegiance to the crown, but couldn’t care less about its constituents.
And yet, connections are forged, despite all the powers that work overtime to sever these ties. ‘Tragic Creature’ is one of the more staunch songs on the record, with knife-like guitar lines and spat-out lyrics, but its message is subversively sweet. Based on a phrase found in Masanobu Fukuoka’s radical manifesto on natural farming, The One-Straw Revolution, the track chronicles romance that emerges from our overstimulated abyss. The album closes with the thundering ‘Weak Speed,’ a desperate plea for a slower life, where the mind can finally stretch out and breathe. But the song, with its battering guitars and synths, mirrors the difficulty of achieving this calm and pivoting away from the present’s overwhelming and infuriating chaos. Gee describes the track as sounding like “a truck just barreling down a highway nonstop” which very well encapsulates the band’s singular brand of snarling, invigorating punk.
Speed Week formed in Naarm/Melbourne in 2019, and released their debut record Hey Hey It’s Speed Week. The band features members from renowned groups such as The Brakes and Split System. Weak Speed will be released on Friday October 16 by Endless Recordings (Jack Ladder, Placement, The Pretty Littles), and Erste Theke Tonträger (Dr. Sure’s Unusual Strange Practice, Arse, 1800-Mikey).
Keep up to date with Speed Week by following them on Instagram, Facebook and Bandcamp.
Hardcore Legends AGNOSTIC FRONT Re-Ignite New York With New Single ‘Matter Of Life & Death’, Featuring Darryl “DMC” McDaniels Of RUN-DMC
New York City offers a world of collisions of cultures, sounds, and attitudes; and the latest scorching offering from the city’s underground veins proves that this legacy lives on. Hardcore legends AGNOSTIC FRONT have teamed up with Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of RUN-DMC for a new single and music video, ‘Matter Of Life & Death’, to reignite the flames of New York hardcore. Stream ‘Matter Of Life & Death’ HERE Pre-Order The New Album ECHOES IN ETERNITY HERE!
On ‘Matter Of Life & Death’, AGNOSTIC FRONT and DMC prove that they have far more to offer than mere nostalgia. In a refreshingly modern take on genre-blending, the single charges into a snarling street fight between hardcore punk and old-school hip-hop swagger. Blasting out with razor-sharp riffs, thunderous beats, and DMC’s unmistakable cadence, the music hits harder than a Queens-bound freight train. Producer and New York Hardcore stalwart Mike Dijan keeps the sound raw and relentless, while director Blake Farber turns the video into a non-stop adrenaline reel. With mosh pits meeting boom boxes, fists in the air, and sweat flying off the walls, its New York grit distilled into less than 3 minutes of pure energy.
In an era of overproduced and predictable genre mash-ups, ‘Matter of Life & Death’ feels alive, dangerous, and necessary. AGNOSTIC FRONT and DMC are the perfect unlikely pairing: two giants from different musical worlds finding common ground in aggression, defiance, and their New York roots.

About AGNOSTIC FRONT: Founded in 1982, AGNOSTIC FRONT stand among the most esteemed pioneers of the hardcore genre. No band comes close in sonic and socio authenticity, where the struggles of survival on the streets have literally given life to a sound that remains as impactful today as it was over four decades ago. Their battering, socially critical anthems laid the foundation for true New York hardcore and fuelled the rise of crossover thrash.
After a brief disbandment in the early ’90s, the band roared back in 1998 with “Something’s Gotta Give,” launching a renewed era of relentless touring and crushing albums. Led by the inimitable roar of vocalist Roger Miret and the charismatic, razor-sharp guitar work of Vinnie Stigma, AGNOSTIC FRONT have released a slew of hard-hitting records, culminating in their acclaimed 2019 album “Get Loud!” – a reminder of their enduring relevance and uncompromising spirit.
In 2025, AGNOSTIC FRONT signed with rising metal label Reigning Phoenix Music. “We are excited to announce that we have officially joined the Reigning Phoenix Music family! Excited to work with new and some familiar faces in the team for our new release “Echoes In Eternity,” this coming November! Let’s celebrate in making this collaboration a force to be reckoned with!” says Miret. RPM co-founder Gerardo Martinez adds, “Having worked with Roger and the guys for two decades, this makes it that much more special. Here’s to many more years of killer music!”
Through line-up changes, industry shifts, and a changing world, AGNOSTIC FRONT have remained steadfast: unyielding in sound, spirit, and message. “Echoes In Eternity” proves that after 40+ years, they’re not slowing down. If anything, they’re louder, harder, and more vital than ever.

We are thrilled to announce that The Gnomes’ first ever video, for new single “Flippin’ Stomp” and directed by Willem Kingma, has been selected by Rage as their “Wild One” video of the week. Which means it will be all over your TV screens this weekend!
The band’s Jay Millar told Rage: “We were aiming for something in the spirit of those classic Beatles or Monkees clips. Playful, chaotic, [and] tongue-in-cheek… We spent the day running around gardens, goofing off, miming with our instruments — all very quick and low-stress. The end result really captures the energy and silliness we were hoping for, and we’re stoked with how it turned out”.
Of the song itself, he also said: “It draws inspiration from the Hamburg-era Beatles, The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Kaisers and Los Shakers. Lyrically, it’s about going to The Bird (Singing Bird Studios) as a teenager, watching local bands with your mates, moshing, jumping around — just having a wild time.”

Melbourne’s young Bayside Beat sensations The Gnomes have dropped their first ever video, for new single “Flippin’ Stomp”. Made by Creepy Baby Productions and shot in Melbourne’s Botanical Gardens and historic (and recently reopened) subterranean Campbell Arcade, the video is inspired by classic early Beatles and Monkees clips. It brilliantly captures the frenetic energy and fun of both the band and the song itself which is a torrid stomper that filters Cavern/Star Club-style energy through a free-wheeling indie-rock attitude. The song was inspired by the annual Flippin’ The Bird festival put on every year by the band’s home base in Frankston, Singing Bird.
The video comes on the back of The Gnomes’ recent sell out show at The Curtin and knockout performances with Jon Spencer in both Melbourne and Castlemaine. It comes ahead of the Friday November 7 release of the band’s long awaited debut album on Dog Meat Records, and their Friday November 14 Brunswick Ballroom album launch.

And in December they fly to New Zealand for the first time to play the inaugural GRrunK Festival in Galatea on Sat 6th Dec, alongside Oregon’s Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, fellow Aussies C.O.F.F.I.N and Hot Machine and locals The Eastern, Bloodbags, Mads Harrop, Adam Hattaway & The Haunters and CCTV.
“Flippin’ Bird” is out now via Bandcamp and digital services.
The Gnomes is out November 7 on Dog Meat Records (through Tweak Distro in Australia, FMD in UK/Europe/Japan and Revolver in the US)
It will be released on LP (standard black and a limited-edition off-white pressing of 300 – both editions come with a poster lyric insert), CD, cassette and can be pre-ordered now from Sound Merch:

The album can be pre-saved here – Introducing… The Gnomes
The Gnomes’ debut album, which is entitled simply The Gnomes (despite it saying Introducing The Gnomes on the cover!) features twelve original songs and was recorded at Frankston’s Singing Bird Studios. Produced by singer and lead guitarist Jay Millar, who also wrote all the songs (including one co-written by fellow guitarist Ned Capp) the album captures perfectly their irresistible energy and their great songwriting, singing and playing. The record’s explosive and authentic group sound perfectly balances a swinging ’60s approach with a NOW vibe, and there’s not a dud on it! The album will be released internationally on LP, CD, cassette and digital formats on Dog Meat Records.
Although they emerged from Melbourne’s bayside onto the local live scene only a year or so ago with their fresh and spirited indie-rock update of Easybeats, Kinks and early Beatles style garage-beat sounds, The Gnomes actually started out – as Gnome – as a bedroom solo project for teenage singer/songwriter/guitarist Jay Millar a few years back. Having now shared bills with the likes of ECSR, Drunk Mums, Skegss, Split System, Hockey Dad and The 5.6.7.8’s, they’ve become an incredibly tight and dynamic live unit and one of the hottest bands in town.
The Gnomes “I’ll Be There” (Official Audio)
Introducing the Bayside Beat of The Gnomes!
Although they emerged from Melbourne bayside outer suburbs onto the local live scene with their fresh and spirited indie-rock update of the garage-beat sounds of The Easybeats, Kinks and early Beatles only a year or so ago, Gnome – as The Gnomes were until very recently known – actually started out as a bedroom solo project for teenaged singer/songwriter/ guitarist Jay Millar a few years back. Jay, playing everything himself, started recording and releasing a steady succession of material – quite a few albums’ worth – on his own Goblin Records label via Bandcamp. Realizing he needed a band to start playing out, Jay approached some like minded players from Frankston’s rehearsal hub Singing Bird, and with Jay on lead vocals and lead guitar, Ned Capp on guitar, Olly Katsianis on bass, and Ethan Robins on drums, Gnome became a band.
Early in 2025, the last solo Jay recordings released under the Gnome name caused something of an international underground sensation when the Bandcamp only I Like It EP – four songs of kranked up Kinks-style mono riffage – was posted by a Spanish garage-punk YouTube page and quickly clocked up over 50,000 views.
At the same time, the band quickly began gaining attention on the thriving Frankston scene and around Melbourne. They started breaking out, sharing bills with the likes of Drunk Mums, Skegss, Split System, The Prize, The Unknowns, Cosmic Psychos, Hockey Dad, Guitar Wolf, The 5.6.7.8’s, The Breadmakers, Loose Lips, fellow Frankstoners/Singing Bird alumni The Belair Lip Bombs, and, on a quick trip to Sydney, Cammy Cautious & The Wrestlers.
And now, finally, we have The Gnomes’ debut album. Twelve killer tracks that combine the best of the ’60s with the best of today. Twelve killer tracks that show off accomplished songwriting, assertive singing and playing and an explosive and authentic swinging group sound. Twelve killers slices of raw rock’n’roll running the gamut from the savage Rhythm & Blues of “Play With You” and “Better With You” to the vibrant beat pop of “I’ll Be There” and “I’m Not The One”, with forays into the heavy reverb psych of “Stung”, the Cavern/Star Club stylings of “Flippin’ Stomp” and the first flyte jangle of “Time Will Tell” along the way. There’s more of course, including a new version of that Kinks-style kranker “I Like It” for good measure.
Frankston’s Fab Four are taking their sound to the world. Join them for the ride!

MINH. TRACK TITLE: ‘OUT WITH GRACE’ RELEASE DATE: WEDNESDAY 15 OCTOBER
EP TITLE: COME CLOSER, LET’S GOSSIP. RELEASE DATE: WEDNESDAY 12 NOVEMBER
‘Out With Grace, the new single from MINH, is an invitation to euphoria, co-written with Australian producer Maribelle
+ Upcoming EP Come Closer, Let’s Gossip
Releasing a collaboration from Vietnam to Australia, Vietnamese singer-songwriter MINH releases a new single, ‘Out With Grace’, working alongside Australian lyricist, musician, and producer Maribelle Anes (Vetta Borne). Released on Wednesday 15 October, ‘Out With Grace’ is the next look at the upcoming EP Come Closer, Let’s Gossip, featuring his last single ‘Gossip’ and slated for release on Wednesday 12 November. ‘Out With Grace’ continues in MINH’s journey connecting with audiences locally and internationally, following his performances this year at Bangkok Music City in Thailand and Carnival Fever in Taiwan, having just played to thousands at Taoyuan Pearl Coast Music Festival (Taiwan), with an upcoming performance on the schedule at Music Matters (Singapore) and Zandari Festa (Korea).
Created during a recent writing camp in Naarm/Melbourne with Concord Australia, ‘Out With Grace’ was envisioned as something grand, euphoric, and liberating, where listeners could let go of their inhibitions and fully give in to the moment. Inspired by a night out, MINH and Maribelle’s creative chemistry flowed effortlessly; his quick composition matched her equally fast production, the result capturing the temptation and call of euphoria, no matter the cost.
“I wanted this song to feel like you were at a club, taking your 4th shot knowing you’ll wake up tomorrow regretting it but doing it anyway.” – MINH
Stream ‘Out With Grace’ – Out Now
During a period following a tumultuous breakup, MINH wrote many songs — raw, breakup-focused tracks centred on heartbreak and the other person. But it wasn’t until his writing trip to Australia in August that he decided to shift perspective. “I was tired of writing about this person,” MINH says. “I needed to write a song for me.”
Come Closer, Let’s Gossip is MINH’s coming-of-age story as a Vietnamese artist in his early 20s, navigating the uncertainties of life. For MINH, songwriting is like gossiping; it’s storytelling set to melody. Marking a significant chapter in MINH’s journey as a storyteller, the EP embarks on an unreserved exploration of self-discovery. The first track of the EP, ‘Gossip’, opens the floodgates for MINH’s storytelling. The story starts with the conflicts and confusion of growing up, then love and lust, into the inevitable first heartbreak and closes with ‘Out With Grace’ as MINH finds himself again. Through a series of deeply personal narratives and reflective compositions, MINH candidly shares his experiences, offering listeners an intimate reintroduction to his past endeavours and influences, and his current artistic and individual journey. He invites audiences to understand not only where he has been, but more importantly, where he stands now. Each track is an evolution, revealing the layers of his identity and the formative moments that have shaped his unique perspective and path.
Born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, MINH is an exceptional singer-songwriter whose talent shines through his smart, thought-provoking lyrics and irresistibly catchy melodies. MINH’s single ‘Heartbreaker’ was the first Vietnamese song to be released in Dolby Atmos and was also ranked among Apple Music’s top 100 best songs of 2021. With over 11 million career streams, MINH has built a strong presence across the region, with Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia ranking among his Top 10 streaming markets worldwide. This year, he was the first Vietnamese act to perform at Bangkok Music City in Thailand. Onstage, MINH’s second live performance, at LIGHTS Countdown, was in front of 60,000 people, showcasing him as a powerhouse of energy who effortlessly connects with and captivates fans with amazing live performances that leave a lasting impression.

Naarm alt-rock outfit DAY DREAMERS release ‘y2k’
Naarm/Melbourne alt-rockers Day Dreamers have served up a fresh dose of apocalyptic punk for your listening pleasure, returning with their second track of the year in the gritty new ‘y2k’.
Off the back of their January single ‘Again, Again’, which saw them return after a year-long release hiatus, ‘y2k’ has Day Dreamers picking back up on their blazing momentum, and carrying out the remainder of 2025 with nothing short of a bang.
Thematically, ‘y2k’ speaks to a sense of cultural, social, and personal panic noted by the band in the world around them of late. Nodding to the titular global phenomenon experienced at the turn of the millennium, frontman Zak expanded on the similar sense of apocalyptic incidents unfolding around us;
“’y2k’ is a reference to the hysteria of 1999 but about the feeling that every day right now feels like an intense moment of panic that the world is about to end in one form or another – but choosing to still want, to accept pain, to move on from the past, and to hold close what’s truly important. For some with what is going on each day across the planet, their world is ending and it’s been a wake up call that everyday, just to be alive is a gift and it shouldn’t be wasted on the day-to-day surface level things that I know I can tend to get so absorbed by.” ZAK, DAY DREAMERS
A high-energy track which effortlessly marries catchy melodies with a punchy performance style, the single was, in part, inspired by beloved pop-punks and fellow Melbournites Bakers Eddy (whom Day Dreamers recently supported on their Doing Better tour), and is primed for fans of Dear Seattle, TOWNS and Sophisticated Dingo;
“The music was written on a band trip away to Venus Bay. We had a bit of the ol writers block and we were listening to a lot of Bakers Eddy at the time, so we were all wanting to come up with an idea that had heaps of energy and felt explosive to open our sets but everything just felt forced and inauthentic. Ironically out of frustration Nick literally pointed at me and yelled “do Bakers Eddy!” Not knowing what that meant or what to do it snapped me to just be in the moment and I just started playing the open chord riff that opens the song and we hashed out the rest from there…
After writing the music, I wanted the vocals to just feel like panicked barking – yelling at myself, but to also feel like someone shaking you awake to break out of the haze and wake up to what’s going on right in front of you. We mixed and recorded the song itself completely from my bedroom, and the drums in the family lounge room. It took a long time doing it by ourselves but we wanted this song to truly come from us in every facet, and for it to feel as honest and forthcoming as possible but to show how much we’ve grown from our previous releases. Hopefully it shows.” ZAK, DAY DREAMERS
WATCH THE OFFICIAL ‘Y2K’ MUSIC VIDEO
Day Dreamers have seen past support across DSPs, with their last single ‘Again, Again’ being added to Spotify’s Local Noise playlist, and singles such as ‘Demo’ sitting at over 72K streams on the platform. Previously having sold out their 2023 album launch show at Melbourne’s Leadbeater Hotel, Day Dreamers have been working hard at building their name in the studio and the local gig scene alike.
Now, the band are set to take the stage again for their upcoming tour, kicking off with a single launch show at Melbourne’s Retreat Hotel, before hitting Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane throughout the month of November.

Hannah May Returns to Her Country Roots with New Single “You and I”
After taking a year off to embrace motherhood, Hannah May is back – and she’s hitting the open road with her brand new single “You and I”, out now.
Produced by Joel Myles of Head Atlas Recording Studios, “You and I” sees the beloved folk-pop artist return to her country roots with an upbeat, feel-good anthem about leaving life’s stresses behind and taking a well deserved roadtrip with your person. The song’s driving instrumentation and breezy vocals capture the freedom of escape, while its lyrics reflect on burnout, connection, and finding joy in the simple moments.
“For the past five years I’ve been writing mostly folk and pop music, but this song felt like a full-circle moment, going back to the kind of music I grew up with,” Hannah says. “It’s about letting go, grabbing the keys, and remembering what really matters.”
Originally from New Zealand and now based in Far North Queensland, Hannah first rose to prominence as one half of the country duo Mae Valley, who were Top 10 finalists on The X Factor New Zealand in 2015. She has since gone on to open for Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini, and Jack Botts, continuing to make her mark as one of Australasia’s standout songwriters.
“You and I” is now available on all major streaming platforms.

GLORY is an exploration of confidence, disgust, infatuation and power set against widescreen indie-rock you can strut to, and sees Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers embrace a new, messy era. GLORY is the sound of getting the bus home after a night out, mascara smeared and battery on 1%. It’s the conspiratorial eye roll you share with a girlfriend when a loser guy is talking – it’s Cher Horowitz exclaiming “Ugh, as if!” in Clueless. Also featuring the fiery ‘MOTHER’, ‘UNSCARRED’, and ‘BALCONY’, GLORY is out Nov 7 via Community Music / Mom + Pop – pre-save/pre-order HERE.
On new single ‘BAIT’, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers write from the perspective of the worst person you’ve ever met: the ego-driven music industry man who thinks he’s God’s gift to earth. Coming in at just over two minutes and propelled by a thick, muddy bass riff and punctuated by cowbell, Anna Ryan’s almost robotic vocals reflect this man’s general disinterest and come underpinned by restrained guitars chopping in off beat and swirling. The band shares, “‘BAIT’ is big ego, full menace mode. We wrote it in LA, channeling a delusional man who thinks he’s God’s gift to earth. It was fun to cosplay as someone we’d all probably hate in real life.”
Produced by 3x GRAMMY Award-winning, London-based Catherine Marks (boygenius’ The Record, Wolf Alice), GLORY is an album the band say is “completely us”; the work of musicians who know exactly who they are, what they’re worth and what they want to create. Together with Marks, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers locked themselves away at a home studio nestled deep in the bush on Darkinjung Land / NSW’s Central Coast for a marathon five weeks perfecting and recording GLORY, a stretch of time that allowed the band to make these songs sound exactly as they intended. Marks stoked a creative environment where the band felt empowered to say ‘no’, encouraged them to try new approaches, and, more importantly, to bin whatever they didn’t like with wild abandon, all in order to help them arrive at the truest distillation of their sound. Every vocal, every instrumental part and every lyric on GLORY emerged exactly as the band intended, their vision ringing out true and clear and their incredible musicianship taking centre stage to create the suckerpunch power you’ll hear across the album.
Across its already-released singles ‘BALCONY’, ‘UNSCARRED’ and ‘MOTHER’ – which, along with the rest of GLORY, was mixed by 3x GRAMMY Award-winning Oli Jacobs (Kendrick Lamar, beabadoobee, Taylor Swift), mastered by Ruairi O’Flaherty (Sabrina Carpenter, Lana Del Rey, Bleachers) and have collectively had more than 750,000 streams on Spotify alone – Teen Jesus have seen continued support and acclaim from triple j, Spotify’s Local Noise, New Music Friday, MARROW (US), New Noise (US) and All New Rock (US), Rolling Stone, junkee, Life Without Andy, Sydney Morning Herald, The Music, Happy, Tone Deaf and many, many others.

Now based across Ngunnawal/Canberra, and Naarm/Melbourne, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are just as concerned about issues facing today’s women, non-binary people and young people everywhere as they are with making music that continues to push boundaries and expectations. They are ambassadors for Green Music’s No Music on a Dead Planet, played Rising Tide on Parliament House steps, contributed to the Parliament inquiry into challenges and opportunities within the Australian live music industry and are firm supporters of Michael’s Rule. This is a band never to be pigeonholed, and definitely never underestimated.

Central Coast alt-rock artist DARCY PILTZ returns with anthemic new single ‘WISHING YOUR LIFE AWAY’
Central Coast singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Darcy Piltz has today released his latest single ‘Wishing Your Life Away’; a grunge-tinged pop-punk tune that reflects on all the highs and lows of being in your 20s.
Sonically aligned with bands such as Dear Seattle, Slowly Slowly, Luca Brasi and Sly Withers, Darcy manages to combine uplifting, emotive lyricism and crunchy, hard-hitting riffs perfectly on the track – laying it all out on the table with a passionate vocal performance.
On the songs lyrics, Darcy explains “This track really hones in on being in your 20’s. Everything feels crazy and chaotic, people are having kids and buying houses, others are really just getting started on their own story. It’s about working those shit jobs to try and make money to do the things you want. At it’s core, this song is about trying to be present and appreciate what you’ve achieved so far, before immediately trying to chase the next ‘thing’. Feels like a bit of a ‘note to self’ to remember what it’s all about and trying not to get caught up in the rush.“
Mixed and produced by Toby Wells at Sonara Studios with mastering from Jack Nigro (Rum Jungle, Vacations, The Terry’s) – Darcy, who played all instruments on the recording, describes his time in the studio and guidance from the Sonora team as a crucial part of the process that helped him bring the idea to life.
“Wishing Your Life Away came about super easily. I wrote and recorded everything you hear on this one (same as all my other songs). Like all my tracks it was born from mucking around with chord progressions on my guitar at home in my little studio. Most of the time, I’m writing about things I’ve felt or things I’ve seen others go through, and this one was the same.
Once the lyrics were fleshed out, I jumped straight onto doing the demo as I felt something special was in this song. The drums probably took me the longest to work out as I wanted to get them perfect, and I think taking the time to figure them out really paid off. After sending Toby (producer/mixer) the world’s shittiest demo of the track, we jumped into Sonora Studios and pumped it out in 1 day and everything went smooth as butter. Luckily Toby saw the vision, and he crushed it with the production and mix. Doing it all myself can sometimes be stressful but Sonora Studios is starting to feel like home!” DARCY PILTZ
Darcy Piltz has been making his name up and down the NSW coast for a little while now, supporting the likes of Fool Nelson, Dear Sunday, Gully Days, Pisco Sour & Playlunch in his time. Looking forward, Darcy will be playing at The Lin and Pin in Woy Woy supporting Great Job! Post-hardcore trailblazers Thrice return to Australia and New Zealand in 2026, bringing their powerful live show and new album Horizons/West. Fans will experience the new songs live for the very first time, alongside classic tracks from the band’s rich catalogue.
Steadfast and straightforward creative conviction has guided Thrice since they emerged in the late ’90s with a sound that combined hardcore grit and progressive ambition. They quickly became defining figures in the post-hardcore movement, with their seminal 2003 album
The Artist in the Ambulance hailed in Rock Sound’s list of 25 Modern Classics and in
NME’s “20 Emo Albums That Have Resolutely Stood the Test of Time.”
From the underground punk scene to major and influential indie labels, Thrice has created a deep catalogue of intense, meaningful, and emotionally driven albums. They continue to evolve while remaining a singular force, balancing urgency, atmosphere, and emotional resonance. For over two decades, the band has defied categorisation – turning restlessness into longevity, experimentation into anthems, and conviction into community.

Eddie Breckenridge (bass), and Riley Breckenridge (drums) has never lost connection with their diverse audience. GLOBAL STAR TOM ODELL UNVEILS DELUXE ALBUM A WONDERFUL LIFE (EPILOGUE)
INCLUDES NEW SONGS “WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES” AND “IT’S THE MORNING AFTER LAST NIGHT’S RAIN”
AUSTRALIAN TOUR COMMENCES JANUARY 16
Global star and award-winning singer-songwriter Tom Odell unveils a deluxe version of his critically acclaimed album A Wonderful Life (Epilogue); listen HERE.
A Wonderful Life (Epilogue) features two new tracks, “When I Close My Eyes” and “It’s The Morning After Last Night’s Rain.” “When I Close My Eyes” has already become a fan-favourite, with over 50,000 creates on TikTok and 80 million views across platforms. The song explores the process of grief when losing a loved one, finding peace and comfort in the process.
Odell released A Wonderful Life last month to instant recognition from NPR All Songs Considered. He recently appeared on CBS Saturday Morning to perform “Don’t Let Me Go” alongside an interview with Anthony Mason and also visited ABC News Live Prime with Linsey Davis to discuss the process of making the project. The album was written partly as a reaction to the news cycle and “the sense, almost every week, that the world is ending in some capacity—which it is, for some people,” notes Odell, whose lyrics channel the despair, frustration and helplessness in the modern world.
He recorded A Wonderful Life at Church Studios, HOXA and RAK Studios’ legendary Room One, the space that birthed classic albums from Radiohead, The Pogues, Ultravox and more. Odell and his band recorded everything live with the instruments “bleeding in on one another” for a more authentic sound.
His emotionally charged songs detailing love, heartbreak and self-reflection continue to receive critical acclaim, winning the prestigious BRIT and Ivor Novello Awards and garnering praise from The Guardian, The Telegraph, Rolling Stone, The Evening Standard and The Observer, among others.
Odell is a renowned British singer and songwriter whose love for music can be traced back to grade school, pivoting from songwriter to singer in his band when they couldn’t hold down a frontman. After studying music in college, he embarked on a decade-long career in which his soul-baring projects have topped charts and won accolades worldwide.
Odell has amassed a rabid following, with multiple headline world tours, 32 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 14 billion career streams. His sixth album Black Friday reached number five on Spotify’s Top Album Debut Global Chart and the haunting title track has earned over 700 million combined streams since its late-2023 release. Fans also re-discovered his first ever single, 2012’s “Another Love,” which has become an anthem on TikTok to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine and soared to over four billion plays on Spotify alone. With more imminent from Odell, he continues to push boundaries and unite people through his art.

Bailey Judd celebrates real love and self-acceptance in new single “Natural Beauty”
Melbourne funk-pop artist Bailey Judd returns with “Natural Beauty,” a soulful anthem celebrating authenticity, real connection, and the kind of love that doesn’t need filters.
Blending smooth guitars, warm groove, and Bailey’s signature heartfelt vocals, “Natural Beauty” is a reminder that true beauty isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence. Written for his partner during a moment of self-doubt, the track is both an intimate love letter and a wider commentary on modern beauty standards.
“I wrote Natural Beauty when my partner was feeling low,” Bailey explains. “She’s incredible — but like so many of us, she was comparing herself to these impossible online standards. I wanted to make a song that reminded her, and anyone listening, that you don’t need to be ‘Instagram perfect’ to be loved. You’re enough exactly as you are.”
With influences spanning Allen Stone, John Mayer, and Prince, Natural Beauty wraps its empowering message in infectious funk-soul production — lush harmonies, expressive guitar lines, and a chorus built to make listeners feel seen.
Natural Beauty follows the success of Bailey’s previous singles, continuing his journey as a Melbourne artist redefining masculinity and self-expression through groove-driven pop. Known for his emotionally honest songwriting and dynamic live shows, Bailey has built a loyal following through his authenticity, musicianship, and message of self-acceptance.
“Natural Beauty” is available on all streaming platforms on October 16th 2025.
About Bailey Judd: Bailey Judd is a Melbourne-based artist blending funk, soul, and pop with emotionally raw storytelling. His music celebrates vulnerability, empowerment, and self-expression — drawing comparisons to Prince, Allen Stone, and Vulfpeck. Through his art, Bailey redefines what it means to be an everyman: authentic, expressive, and unapologetically real.

THE RASMUS Teams With Theory Of A Deadman’s Tyler Connolly
For New Version Of “Creatures Of Chaos”
Touring Australia in January 2026

”Tyler [Connolly] is an amazing singer and he added a new dimension to the song,” says frontman Lauri Ylönen. “This song is one of our best from the new album and it’s so cool that it gets some spotlight now.”
Tyler Connolly shares: “I got asked to guest sing on this Rasmus song and once I heard it, I was like, ‘Heck Yeah’! Loved the track and love the band! Really enjoyed the back-and-forth verses between us, and it truly rocks! Now I got to get myself to Finland!!!”
Lauri explains that “Creatures of Chaos” is a “global shout out and an invitation to all misfits and anyone out there who’s ever felt like an outsider to join us! It was one of the first songs, and that’s kind of how the album title came about. It’s also about accepting people as they are, which in this world is getting much harder for people to do. For me, it’s more personal: I sing like I could have been a soldier, but I’m afraid of guns. I could have been this or that, but I wasn’t strong enough to be those. My job is to do this. And I’m singing to one fan in the front row, giving her or him strength to carry on. It’s another kind of hero.”
“Creatures of Chaos” is “also about the pressure of social media,” elaborates Lauri. “People feel like by 25 they need to have money, investments, be somebody. A lot of people are scared of growing up. I’ve always gained strength from being the underdog, and I love that. It keeps me going.”

Jeri Foreman & Grace Honeywell Announce Debut Album
The Allure of the Honky Tonk – Out October 22, 2025
Two dynamo multi-instrumentalists, Jeri Foreman and Grace Honeywell, are stepping into the spotlight with their debut duo album, The Allure of the Honky Tonk, releasing October 22, 2025.
An homage to tradition, modern-day music making, and life on the road, the album reclaims bluegrass music through the voice and lens of two women who struck out into the world in search of something more. Taking its title from the bluegrass classic She’s More to be Pitied, the record blends country classics, contemporary bluegrass songs, and striking originals that trace a shared story: leaving home, chasing adventure, weathering heartache, and finding joy on the roads less travelled.
From Foreman’s celebrated fiddle mastery – steeped in Scottish, Bluegrass, and Old Time traditions — to Honeywell’s voice as a singer-songwriter infused with Americana, and folk sensibilities, the duo create a sound that is fresh, fearless, and deeply rooted.
Grace Honeywell (from Ashland, Oregon, USA) and Jeri Foreman (from Adelaide, South Australia) will celebrate the album release with a 5 week tour of Australia. Both now spend a lot of their time in Glasgow, Scotland – where the album was made. The tour starts at the Gasoline Pony in Sydney on 22 October and concludes at the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Adelaide on 30 November. They will also perform at several festivals, in a number of regional towns and at the Wesley Anne in Melbourne on 11 November.
They have been playing to much acclaim across the UK, including the largest world music festival in the calendar, Celtic Connections 2025.
“Jeri and Grace were an absolute delight when they performed at the Pianodrome! I just love the energy they create together. Each song felt like a journey which warmed my soul. ” – Pip, The Pianodrome, Edinburgh, Scotland.
The Allure of the Honky Tonk is a joyful and poignant journey, inviting listeners into the duo’s world of exploration, connection, and song.

JACK CARTY UNVEILS “POLLYANNA” ON FRIDAY 17TH OCT 2025
A stunning and pithy indie-folk track for anyone who has ever tried to stay calm while the world burns. A must listen, it’s sublime.
Prolific Australian singer-songwriter Jack Carty will release his new single “Pollyanna”, Friday 17 October 2025.
Known for his clear-eyed storytelling, he is Australia’s urban bard, writing frankly about modern life. Carty’s latest track – Pollyanna – is a sharp-eyed reflection on the noise that is relentless in our world, and counters this noise with a choice to keep moving forward through difficult times.
Carty is considered as one of Australia’s most consistent independent voices. Having built a strong reputation over more than a decade, releasing six albums and two EPs, touring internationally, and sharing stages with artists including Josh Pyke, the late Justin Townes Earle, and more recently supporting Katie Noonan’s on her “Grace” tour, celebrating 30 years of Jeff Buckley’s classic album in theatres across Australia.
“Pollyanna is about resilience, hope, and the quiet courage of optimism,” says Carty. “It’s a song that came from reflecting on how we carry ourselves through life’s harder seasons and the strength it takes to keep choosing joy.”
The track is entirely produced in Jack’s home studio, with the musician able to turn his hand to playing drums, bass and piano alongside the guitar and vocals that are a staple of his live show.
Pollyanna signals a taste of what’s to come as audiences await his 7th album to be released in March 2026. Rolling Stone said of Carty’s last album “Wake to a Bright Morning” (2022) one of his most accomplished, emotive, and best works to date.”
