Far Out Distant Sounds Presents – The Underground Youth and The Third Sound, bringing their international sounds to Australia for their first co-headlining tour, joined at their George Lane show only by local legend J.P. Shilo – Thursday April 16.
Berlin-based post-punk and psychedelic rock cult favourites The Underground Youth – Led by British songwriter Craig Dyer, bring their signature underground cinematic post-punk to the stage, blending minimalist arrangements, noir romanticism, and haunting vocals. With stark rhythms and a visceral emotional edge, their performances feel intimate yet expansive, unfolding like scenes from a darkly charged film.

The Third Sound, Led by Håkon Aðalsteinsson (Brian Jonestown Massacre), deliver brooding, reverb-drenched psychedelia and raw garage rock, built on hypnotic grooves and shadowy intensity. Their live shows are immersive and driving, pulling audiences deep into their dark, melodic soundscapes.

With many sleights of hand, his unique approach and techniques are world renowned. He’s worked on over 50 albums and helped create the sounds for many Oz luminaries including Rowland S. Howard, Adalita, The Blackeyed Susans, Mick Harvey & Tropical Fuck Storm.”
