GRAMMY-Winning singer, songwriter & Rap legend EVERLAST drops new single “Stones”
GRAMMY-winning Irish-American rapper, singer & songwriter Everlast returns with a powerful new single, “Stones” – his inaugural release with Thirty Tigers, in partnership with Regime Music Group. Produced by Yelawolf, more on an upcoming project will be revealed soon. “Stones’ is a song about culpability and regret. A journey from self loathing to self healing and forgiveness,” Everlast says. Raw, reflective, and deeply personal, the song marks the first glimpse into this next chapter, a bold step forward that balances vulnerability with resilience. Like his empathy anthem of the past 20 years, “What It’s Like,” it’s yet another example of Everlast seamlessly weaving the thread that connects all walks of life through the shared, everyday realities we each experience – no matter who we are or where we come from.
WATCH THE OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO FOR STONES
Everlast also recently shared a clip of “Rubber Bullets” from the new album, written while watching the George Floyd protests, as well as the standalone single and anti-ICE anthem “Blood on the Wheel” with multi-platinum producer WLPWR (“every revolution needs a soundtrack” – Jolly Good Ginger).
You can call him Everlast, Whitey Ford or even Erik Francis Schrody, but by any name, this singer-songwriter-rap legend’s remarkable music career has seen him reinvent himself several times over. From his first solo album, Forever Everlasting, under the auspices of Ice-T’s Rhyme Syndicate when he was barely out of his teens, to the “Jump Around” success with House of Pain, the genre-bending multi-platinum Whitey Ford Sings the Blues and his GRAMMY-winning contribution to Carlos Santana’s Supernatural album (“Put Your Lights On”), plus an Emmy nomination for the Saving Grace theme, Everlast has forged a groundbreaking merger of hip-hop, rock, folk, funk and R&B – influencing everyone from Yelawolf to Jelly Roll and beyond, even if he’s too modest to say it himself.

The band returned last month with the infectious “you and forever” alongside an accompanying Alex Lockett visual featuring Margaret Qualley – watch HERE – before revealing a mesmerising Gabe Drechsler directed live version shot at Electric Lady Studios – watch HERE.
Bleachers’ new album ‘everyone for ten minutes’ is the inevitable culmination of a lifetime of devotion to bands for the six members and, ultimately, finds each one at their creative peak. Despite the moments where it briefly peers into darkness, it’s essentially an optimistic record that feels lovestruck and hopeful, leaping from harmony-laden folk rock to shimmering pop soul to the sax-assisted New Jersey sound that Bleachers have become synonymous for.
Described by The New York Times as “anthemic” and “life-affirming”, Bleachers released their debut album ‘Strange Desire’ in 2014 and have since built a huge, passionate following across four studio albums, renowned for their impressive live show and infectious camaraderie.
Bleachers’ self-titled fourth record, released in March 2024, marked a major high point and received widespread critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone praising the “spiritual ecstasy that can only be attained through the platonic perfection of pop formula”, and NME calling it “a triumphant portrait of Antonoff’s talent and the band’s tight musical bond”. Following its release, the band embarked on their sold out From The Studio To The Stage world tour, which finished with their largest headline show to date at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Bleachers have announced the first details of a North American tour in support of ‘everyone for ten minutes’. The band will be taking their acclaimed live show back on the road in June and across September and October including a five night headline residency in Los Angeles in September.

Kim Yang 楊予菁 premieres video ‘Forever This Way’ at the National Film & Sound Archive of Australia for CLIPPED + upcoming shows
Kim Yang 楊予菁 releases the video for ‘Forever This Way’, after the video premiered at the National Film & Sound Archive of Australia for CLIPPED Music Video Premieres on Saturday 14 March. A visual taste of her upcoming debut album, Turn On The Lights, slated for release on Thursday 7 May, Kim is celebrating by announcing her hometown album launch at The Street Theatre in Canberra and an appearance at CresFest in April.
Filmed at Melbourne/Naarm’s Bakehouse Studios, the music video came together in a single afternoon with director Sean O’Gorman. Keeping a minimal approach to let the song’s warmth and devotion shine through, Kim is joined by a choir of local artists, Hannah Acfield, Pia Nesvara, and George Blyton.
“The video moves through multiple spaces and moods, allowing time, light, and performance to guide its rhythm. In directing this piece, the camera alternates between restraint and release, mirroring the song’s ability to feel intimate and expansive at once. By embracing the natural textures of the studio and letting moments unfold organically, the film aims to capture a feeling rather than illustrate a narrative – a sense of presence, warmth, and the desire to hold onto a moment that feels effortless and true.” – Sean O’Gorman, Director
Stream ‘Forever This Way’ Video
Turn On The Lights explores Kim’s musings on identity, purpose, fear, and anxiety, drawing on her own journey through self-doubt, discovery, and acceptance. Titled Turn On The Lights, the LP explores Kim’s acceptance of herself as an immigrant, a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman, and someone who has struggled with mental health challenges, and explores the power of stepping into the light and sharing her stories with the world. Built on international collaborations from Kim’s journeys around the globe, it features songs in English and Mandarin and songs co-written with Australian artist Katie Wighton (All Our Exes Lives in Texas), Welsh artist Cara Hammond, and Hong Kong-Canadian artist Tennyson King.
“I wanted my debut album to capture an insight into my essence. I am someone who has struggled with self-doubt my whole life. Through my musical journey, I have gone on a journey of self-discovery, learning to explore my own stories and be open in sharing them on stage. Now I am at a moment of self-acceptance, confident to share my full story and help others on their own journeys.” – Kim Yang

Bryson Hill Drops New EP I Want You on Peggy Gou’s GUDU Records
Sydney born and now London based producer Bryson Hill returns with his new EP I Want You, a four track statement of intent released via GUDU Records. The EP marks a defining moment for the rising house artist, capturing the energy and momentum that has been building around his sound across club circuits in both Europe and Australia. Built around infectious grooves, euphoric vocal moments and driving club ready production, I Want You sees Bryson Hill further cement his place within the new wave of globally minded house producers.
Originally emerging from Sydney’s underground dance scene before relocating to London, Bryson Hill has steadily developed a reputation for records that balance soulful emotion with high impact dancefloor energy. His productions channel the spirit of classic house music while embracing the grit and immediacy of the genre’s current evolution, creating tracks that resonate equally across intimate club rooms and festival stages. That sound has already attracted major attention across the global DJ community, with support from leading artists including Peggy Gou, Solomun, Diplo, Jamie Jones, Gorgon City, Dusky, Chloe Caillet, KETTAMA, Malugi and Sam Alfred, signalling the growing cross scene appeal of his productions.
The EP centres around its title track I Want You, a record that quietly became one of the most sought after unreleased house tracks circulating through DJ sets across the past year. Played consistently by artists across club and festival stages, the track gained momentum organically throughout the European summer before finding a home on GUDU Records, the influential label founded by Peggy Gou. Built on a punchy groove and lifted by a powerful soul vocal, the track captures the raw immediacy of modern house music while maintaining the emotional warmth that has always defined the genre’s most enduring records.
“I actually wrote this song in a few hours and had it sitting on my laptop for a few weeks because I didn’t feel like it was any good, then sent it to my good friend Sam Alfred and he loved it. Then sent it to a few more people and it created a life of its own.”
“A high energy, no fuss, club anthem.”
The wider EP reveals the full scope of Bryson Hill’s influences within house music. Across Unity Groove, Body Movement and Baie de Beaulieu, the producer moves between hypnotic grooves, driving club energy and sun soaked melodic textures, creating a cohesive project that showcases the different shades of house music that continue to shape his sound.
“A diverse, well rounded EP showcasing all the amazing sides of house music I love.”
Beyond the studio, Bryson Hill’s rise has been fuelled by an expanding global touring presence. The producer recently joined Peggy Gou on a sold out Australian tour as the main support, while also hosting two sold out pop up shows in Sydney and Melbourne celebrating the EP. His recent performances have taken him across major Australian cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, alongside appearances throughout Europe in London, Ibiza and Nijmegen.
His music has also gained support from a broad range of influential DJs including Job Jobse, Dan Shake, DJ Heartstring, Kyle Starkey, Gorgon City, Dusky and Diplo, further solidifying the reputation of I Want You as one of the most widely supported emerging house records of the year.
With previous releases spanning respected dance labels including Shall Not Fade, Sweat It Out, Happy Wax Records and Big Trouble Records, Bryson Hill has quietly built a catalogue that reflects both underground credibility and forward thinking production. With I Want You now landing on GUDU Records and gaining momentum across global dancefloors, the EP signals the arrival of an artist whose sound is rapidly finding its place within the international house landscape.
The VANNS Team Up with Brad Cox for Explosive New Single Gas Craic
The VANNS unveil the reimagined version of their single Gas Craic now featuring Brad Cox. This updated take on the track brings a fresh layer of storytelling, blending the Australian indie rock band’s signature energy with Brad Cox’s distinct voice. The song was written relatively quickly after their UK tour and captures some of the most memorable moments from that experience, delivering a sense of freedom, reflection, and raw emotionality that resonates with both longtime fans and new listeners alike. The collaboration comes naturally, as Brad Cox had previously covered The VANNS’ track Silhouette, making this feature a seamless extension of their shared musical connection.
“Gas Craic was one of the first songs to come together in the writing process of our third record. It was written relatively quickly after our tour in the UK and the song encapsulates some memorable moments from that tour,” the band shares.
Following their highly successful third studio album All That’s in My Head, which debuted at number 5 on the Australian Charts, The VANNS continue to solidify their position as one of Australia’s most dynamic indie rock acts. The album, which features the single Millionaires, debuted at #3 on the Vinyl and AUS Albums charts and #27 on the main ARIA Albums Chart, highlighting the band’s consistent chart presence. Their previous single Accomplice has now surpassed 1.56 million views on its music video, demonstrating their ability to create standout tracks and visuals that connect with audiences. Their music has been featured across Spotify playlists including New Music Friday AU & NZ, All New Rock, Turn Up Aus, Local Noise, and Apple Music’s New In Rock, as well as Vevo rotations on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Pluto TV, and Samsung TV Plus. Triple J has championed the group with Feature Album spots, first plays, and their cover of Hey Ma reaching #32 on the Hottest 100 Like a Version, while radio and streaming support extends from Australia to international airplay.
Gas Craic also continues The VANNS’ tradition of compelling live performances, with the band having played sold-out shows across Australia and the US, including SXSW Austin, and supported The Kooks, The Wombats, and Inhaler, while headlining festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, Yours & Owls, and The Great Escape UK. Their national tour for All That’s in My Head spanned 21 shows from October 2025 to January 2026, further cementing their reputation as a captivating live act.
With this updated version featuring Brad Cox, Gas Craic combines the energy and nostalgia of their UK experiences with the depth and polish of their established sound. The collaboration elevates their indie rock storytelling, delivering a track that feels both personal and universal. The VANNS’ evolution is clear, balancing chart success, viral visuals, and festival acclaim, while continuing to create music that resonates across generations. Gas Craic is an essential addition to the band’s discography and a powerful reminder of why The VANNS remain one of Australia’s most compelling rock acts.

From Later Daze to Dallow, ‘Candies’ Signals a New Chapter
Brisbane five-piece band, Dallow, have stepped into their next chapter with their single, ‘Candies’, a debut track under the new name, arriving April 2026. Formerly known as Later Daze, the band have unveiled a new direction with their sound and visual identity with this first glimpse into their forthcoming debut EP and the beginning of a new era. Dallow’s release of ‘Candies’ marks more than a name change; they are refining their aesthetic, building a deeper emotional focus, and are confidently stepping into a more mature and cohesive creative identity. Their growth has already been turning heads performing as Later Daze, where the band have supported The Veronicas and played Stones Corner Festival opening for The Potbelleez and Screamfeeder. Hailing from Brisbane’s southside, Dallow have quickly made noise across the city with a sound best described as Indie Rock built on a groove led foundation. The five friends behind the band have grown up together, refining their sound and learning how to translate their experiences into something that feels both honest and elevated. ‘Candies’ is the purest expression of that growth so far. The track elevates Dallow’s sound without losing what made people fall in love with them in the first place. It incorporates a punchy rhythm section, deep drum and bass groove, harmonically rich guitar layers, and strong lyrical concepts.
‘Candies’ dives into the messy feeling of loving someone you know isn’t good for you. They’re the apple of your eye, but you feel things have shifted, you can feel it slipping, even if you aren’t ready to let go. There is grief in recognising that the person you imagined no longer aligns with who they truly are. Caitlin Norris of Happy Mag caught onto the band’s potential early on in 2024 when she stated, “It’s impressive to see how Later Daze have come out swinging, matching the energy of an ever-changing scene with their unbridled energy and honest yet broadly applicable storytelling.”
Speaking on the new track, Dallow explain: “It’s an electric song to perform – it gets everyone up and dancing but still has a rich emotional undertone that leaves everyone wanting more.” – Lennon (Rhythm Guitarist)
“Lyrically, we wanted to capture the internal conflict of adoring someone you know isn’t good for you. They’re the apple of your eye, but you feel things deteriorating, and get a growing sense of detachment. It’s hard to change where they’ve always fit in your mind, but you know that things are different now.” – TJ (Lead Singer)
“A lot of the rhythmic elements are outside of the norm for our genre. That definitely comes from our funk-influenced rhythm section; the bass and drums create their own flavourful pocket for everything else to rely on.” – Luka (Drummer)
With a genre sitting amongst indie rock, alternative, indietronica, dream pop, and dance, Dallow’s new sound is a blend of Vacations, Parcels, Two Door Cinema Club, Phoenix, and Last Dinosaurs, though the output is distinctly their own. The band will farewell their time as Later Daze with one final show on March 21 at the Brightside, Brisbane. Joined by Blacklight and JARR, the night will close the Later Daze era and offer fans a glimpse of what’s to come as the band transitions into Dallow. ‘Candies’ will be available on all streaming platforms April 1st, 2026.

Anna Calvi reveals title track of forthcoming EP featuring The National’s Matt Berninger

Is This All There Is? EP released on Friday
On Friday, Anna Calvi releases her astounding EP Is This All There Is? featuring collaborations with Laurie Anderson, Iggy Pop, Perfume Genius and The National’s Matt Berninger. Today, Calvi shares the EP’s title track – her poignant song with Berninger – showcasing Anna’s tremendous vocal mastery as their voices weave in and out of each other.
Originally written for Joanna Hogg’s film The Souvenir Part II – but previously not released, Calvi asked Berninger to join her to create a spectacular new version. The song becomes an anthem of courage — the courage to believe there might be more. “This song is about the bravery it takes to hope,” Calvi says. “It’s the willingness to ask questions, even when knowing you’ll never get a definitive answer.”
Speaking further about working with Berninger, Calvi adds: “The tone of Matt’s voice has such an epic, almost ancient quality to it, which felt perfect for a song asking such a big existential question. We’re both searching for answers- together and yet somehow always apart, which I find beautiful. He brings an intimacy to the song that I couldn’t have imagined.”
Stream ‘Is This All There Is? feat. Matt Berninger’ here
Earlier this month, War Child’s HELP(2) album was released featuring Calvi’s beautiful contribution featuring Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell, Nilüfer Yanya and Dove Ellis. Stream it here.
Is This All There Is? is the first instalment in a trilogy of records which explore identity as a metamorphosis, shaped and reshaped through the experience of falling in love. This was inspired by Calvi’s own perspective shift after becoming a parent. On the EP, Calvi dives into existential questions of modern existence: How do we reclaim intimacy? Is there something more elemental we can connect with? What does it mean to feel truly awake? “Having a child was so transformative it made me consider the possibility that everything in life could potentially shift, and that is scary but incredibly freeing. I didn’t want to take anything for granted any more. I want to exist in the best way for my child. I wanted to ask the most basic human question – is this all there is?”
‘Is This All There Is?‘ is the third song to be shared from the EP following the electrifying ‘God’s Lonely Man‘ featuring Iggy Pop and Calvi’s exquisite duet with Perfume Genius on their ‘I See A Darkness‘ cover. On the as of yet unheard fourth track, Calvi reimagines Kraftwerk’s classic ‘Computer Love’ alongside Laurie Anderson. With Anderson’s iconic voice at its centre and Calvi’s eerie choral arrangements creating space and shadow, it becomes a reflection on digital intimacy and emotional absence. Following her work scoring Peaky Blinders and composing two operas with visionary director Robert Wilson, the forthcoming EP plays like a cinematic soundscape — a four-song film arc populated by vivid characters. “Scoring the final two seasons of Peaky Blinders really altered how I create music. I always used to imagine my songs as mini films, but with this EP I wanted to explore a narrative which could exist throughout all the songs.”
Calvi has long surrounded herself with artists who operate on the edge of genre and expectation. She’s previously collaborated with David Byrne, Brian Eno, Marianne Faithfull, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Courtney Barnett, and Julia Holter — all artists who walk remarkable creative paths. “The opportunity to be in the same space as people you love is so inspiring,” she says. “To see how different people approach the same thing — it sharpens you. It’s thrilling.” Her collaborators on this EP — Iggy Pop, Laurie Anderson, Perfume Genius, Matt Berninger — all share a singularity of vision. “They share a kind of subversive honesty,” Calvi notes. “They’re not trying to please anyone. They express exactly who they are.” On Is This All There Is? their voices become characters in the story, actors in the world she’s creating.
For her three albums to date, each its own dark-inked essay in turbulence and drama, Anna Calvi has been shortlisted three times for the Mercury Music Prize, nominated for a BRIT Award, received praise from the highest quarters and established herself as an artist fearless of examining identity and passion. With Is This All There Is? and what comes next in the trilogy, Anna Calvi intends to probe a little deeper into the human condition as she signs off: “I love to create cinema with pure sound. The further I explore, the more curious I become. I want to see how far I can go, and I always find myself asking: Is this all there is?”
Calvi has recently been confirmed to play Green Man festival in the summer, alongside support slots for David Byrne. She will also take part in the Barbican’s Marianne Faithfull tribute with the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Rufus Wainwright, Beth Orton and Samantha Morton.
Anna Calvi has continued to write on her Carving Silver In Strange Weather Substack – you can read her second chapter series The Art of The Duet here.

FLETCHER KENT SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘DON’T YOU WANT IT’ OUT NOW
FOLLOWS A RUN OF SOLD-OUT DEBUT HEADLINE SHOWS
Fresh off a run of sold-out dates on his debut headline tour, Australian indie-folk riser Fletcher Kent returns with powerful new single ‘Don’t You Want It’.
With a sound that sits comfortably alongside artists like Noah Kahan, Briston Maroney, Matt Corby, Dean Lewis and Lewis Capaldi, Fletcher continues to cement himself as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging voices, pairing authentic, heart-on-sleeve lyricism with undeniable raw talent.
LISTEN TO ‘DON’T YOU WANT IT’ HERE
Speaking on the release, Fletcher shares: “Anything in life worth having comes with challenge, whether that’s relationships, a dream, anything. ‘Don’t You Want It’ begs the question: how much are you willing to sacrifice for the thing you want? You might get your heart broken, you might fall or face difficult moments, but is it worth it?”
Emotionally charged and anthemic, the track captures the ache and urgency of chasing something bigger than yourself, even when the cost feels high. Vulnerable yet defiant, it balances intimate storytelling with a chorus built to be sung back at full volume.
In everything he does, from his lyricism to his live shows, Fletcher poses thought-provoking questions that invite audiences to turn inward while also drawing them into a powerful shared experience. It’s the kind of song that feels deeply personal yet somehow communal.
The release follows a breakout 12 months for Fletcher, who has quickly proven his ability to translate streaming momentum into real-world connection with fans.
Last December he joined Lewis Capaldi on his completely sold-out Australian arena tour, performing to thousands each night. His single ‘Open To The Light’ arrived just before the first show, and by the time he stepped on stage fans already knew every word, lighting up arenas with their phones in a moment that captured his rapid rise. It’s a powerful, moving song and, if those arena shows are anything to go by, Fletcher has a rare ability to make even the biggest room feel intimate. Somehow he commands an arena stage with nothing more than a guitar. Capaldi later gave Fletcher a shout-out live on Nova FM, further amplifying the buzz.
Earlier single ‘Blindspot’ marked another major milestone, earning key DSP support including Spotify’s Tapestry and Apple Music’s New In Pop. The track was also named triple j Unearthed Track of the Day and added to rotation.
Media and radio support has continued to build across triple j, triple j Unearthed, the HIT Network and Nova FM, with editorial features from Rolling Stone AU/NZ (In My Room), Ones To Watch, The Music, Scenestr, Life Without Andy (Artist of the Week), and Milky further solidifying his growing reputation.
On the live front, Fletcher’s resume continues to grow. After supporting Lewis Capaldi on his sold-out Australian arena tour in December last year, he returned this February for a run of sold-out debut headline shows across Australia. Past highlights also include a month-long residency at Old Mate’s in New York – the Hamish & Andy co-founded pub – an east coast pub tour, a VIP pre-show performance for Green Day at Marvel Stadium, Live Nation’s Ones To Watch showcase, and a fan-voted slot at Rolling Sets Festival alongside Lime Cordiale and The Wombats.
With ‘Don’t You Want It’, Fletcher steps further into his own, embracing the emotional risks that come with ambition, love and self-belief. It’s a bold, resonant release from an artist who is no stranger to taking chances and reaping the rewards.

WARDE ELLIOTT ‘ANY OTHER WAY OUT’ (SINGLE)
Warde Elliott releases “Any Other Way Out,” the second single from his forthcoming album Rough Ride Home.
Following the first single Footbridge, this new track deepens the album’s exploration of the people, relationships and defining moments that shaped his early years in regional Australia.
The song is a patchwork portrait stitched together from real people and moments that shaped Elliott’s youth. At its centre is a character inspired by a childhood friend — the only person who ever called him “Dicky” — whose life spiralled and ended too soon. Elliott describes the song as “a composite of people who’ve played meaningful roles in my life — fragments of truth woven into a glimpse of a life that was lost before it had the chance to unfold.”
Musically, Any Other Way Out leans into Elliott’s acoustic-rock/Americana sound with rhythmic acoustic guitar, expressive piano, atmospheric electric textures and a grounded rhythmic pulse. Shane Reilly’s pedal steel adds a haunting emotional layer. Elliott’s rich vocal delivers the story with compassion, grit and maturity.
With four albums already behind him, Elliott’s work reflects three decades of consistent, quietly powerful songwriting. His ability to write with emotional clarity and lived-in authenticity has become a defining trait of his catalogue. As he marks 30 years since his 1996 debut, Elliott continues to carve out a space as a songwriter whose stories resonate deeply and whose perspective grows sharper with time.

BILLIE-JO PORTER BOTTLES UP PURE JOY IN HER NEW SINGLE & VIDEO ‘LOOK TO THE GOOD THINGS’
Singer-songwriter Billie-Jo Porter captures sunshine in a bottle on her new single ‘Look to the Good Things’ – an optimistic slice of feel-good music.
Following on from her previous single ‘Spring Cleaning’, ‘Look to the Good Things’ builds on Billie-Jo’s unique sound – a curated blend of Roots, Folk and Country. The singer’s carefree vocal floats over a buoyant production of quirky guitars and earthy percussion.
Produced by multi award winning Shane Nicholson, the track leans into texture and tone, pairing laid-back charm with subtle sonic surprises. It’s the sound of an artist comfortable in her skin, grounded yet glowing.
At its core, ‘Look to the Good Things’ is exactly what the title suggests – a gentle but powerful recalibration.
“Sometimes we get so caught up chasing the big stuff that we forget the magic is already around us. Look to the Good Things is my little nudge – to myself and everyone listening – to breathe, smile, and notice what’s right in front of you.”
From strutting to the soundtrack of Dr Hook to finding twenty dollars in last winter’
Working alongside Shane Nicholson brought that warmth into full colour. “Working on this song with Shane Nicholson was such a blast. He came up with some really surprising and exciting sounds on the track, and it’s so cool to see a crappy little phone demo come to life the way it has – I feel like this song really captures the heart of what I love about making music.”
The accompanying music video, produced and directed by Clint Wilson at Ziggy Tone Studios, leans fully into that joy.
“Filming the music video at Ziggytone Studios with Clint Wilson directing was such a fun afternoon. We were in front of this infinity wall with rainbow colours blasting behind us, doing silly, dance moves and just enjoying the moment. It’s probably my wiggliest, most chaotic video yet, but it was hilarious to make. I hope it makes people smile as much as we did while filming!”
With more than 400,000 artist streams, Billie-Jo Porter has steadily built a reputation as one of Australian country’s most genuine and uplifting voices. A Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist and Unsigned Only Music Competition Finalist, she has carved her path through consistent touring and authentic songwriting.
A Tamworth Country Music Festival favourite, Billie-Jo has performed at major events including Gympie Music Muster, Meatstock Sydney and Toowoomba, Groundwater Country Music Festival and Harvest Moon Music Festival. She has also opened for artists including Pete Murray, Melanie Dyer, Mama Kin Spender and The Whitlams’ Tim Freedman – sharpening her live show with every stage she steps onto.
And there’s plenty more road ahead. “We absolutely love taking our music on the road – it’s so exciting to visit new places and connect with people in person. We’re really looking forward to heading up to Queensland very soon and Victoria later in the year, as well as touring around New South Wales. With plenty of festivals lined up, it’s going to be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to see everyone out there!”
That sense of connection – grounded, joyful and deeply human – is exactly what ‘Look to the Good Things’ embodies. It’s not just a song, it’s a mindset.
Certain to be a standout track for the singer-songwriter.

Ayk Unveils Powerful Single ‘Demon In The Mirror’ With Remixes from Som.1 & Trash Cells
Forging forward with a groundbreaking release that celebrates underground psychedelic Hip-Hop with experimental electronic remixes at its finest, artist and producer Ayk recently dropped his ‘Demon In The Mirror’ release. A powerful offering that pushes genre boundaries and defies expectations, and backed with remixes from Som.1 and Trash Cells, ‘Demon In The Mirror’ continues to garner widespread industry support.
The ‘Demon In The Mirror’ single delivers a hypnotic take on underground Hip-Hop, pairing atmospheric production with introspective lyricism from the Iranian rapper. Paired with powerful electronic remixes, the release has already found champions in Charlotte de Witte, DJ Harvey, James Lavelle (Mo’ Wax), and John Kennedy, while the Som.1 remix has picked up support from Tom Ravenscroft, Don Letts, and more. Meanwhile, the Trash Cells remix, with its guttural vocals, deconstructed beats, and saturated guitars, has drawn support from the likes of Laurent Garnier.
The EP’s remixes showcase the diversity of approaches to Ayk’s sound, with Som.1 adding a rumbling breakbeat energy, and Trash Cells pushing into a heavier, nu-metal-inflected territory. Together, these versions underline Ayk’s boundary-pushing approach and his willingness to explore the outer edges of Hip-Hop and electronic music.
Hailing from the province of Gilan in Iran, Ayk is a rapper and producer operating within the musical collective Twilight Marauders. Crafting beats and lyrical riffs for the last five years, the developing artist shows striking promise on his debut release for the revered R&S Records, the Belgium-based label universally recognised for their long association with forward-thinking electronic music, which has increasingly pushed beyond traditional music boundaries.
With Ayk’s ‘Demon In The Mirror’ continuing to pick up support from key tastemakers and industry heads alike, the release signals his ascension as one of the underground music’s most innovative new artists.

JAMES BLAKE SHARES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM, TRYING TIMES. HIS FIRST SELF-RELEASED STUDIO ALBUM IS OUT NOW
Album out now via Good Boy Records
James Blake releases new record Trying Times via Good Boy Records.
The album features recently released singles ‘Death Of Love’ and ‘I Had A Dream She Took My Hand’, showcasing the full range of Blake’s artistic voice and a rare emotional candour. Throughout ‘Trying Times’, Blake navigates the fragile space between closeness and solitude in an uncertain era, tracing the fault lines of contemporary life. As overwhelm seeps into both its themes and atmosphere, the record settles in a place between optimism and unease.
Alongside the new record, Blake has also announced details of his upcoming European tour, set to begin in September, including a special stop at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. The dates follow the earlier announcement of his North American run, which features two sold-out shows at NYC’s Brooklyn Paramount, as well as a sold-out show at Toronto’s HISTORY.
A GRAMMY-winning producer, songwriter, and musician, Blake’s singular blend of soul, electronica, hip-hop, and alt-R&B has shaped the sound of modern music. Across six seminal studio albums, Blake’s catalogue has amassed over 2.2 billion streams: his 2019 album Assume Form, featuring ROSALÍA and Travis Scott, garnered widespread acclaim, followed by his highest chart debut to date with 2021’s Friends That Break Your Heart.
His transcendent vocals and visionary production have cemented him as one of contemporary music’s most influential figures, and a sought-after collaborator for Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, SZA, ROSALÍA, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and more, contributing to era-defining albums like Blonde, DAMN., ASTROWORLD, Lemonade, and Motomami.
Most recently, Blake collaborated with revered UK rapper Dave on his critically acclaimed album The Boy Who Played The Harp, and crafted ‘Séance’ alongside Ludwig Göransson, a standout from the soundtrack of Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners’.

LYKKE LI SHARES NEW SINGLE AND ACCOMPANYING VISUAL, ‘KNIFE IN THE HEART’ – OUT NOW
FORTHCOMING STUDIO ALBUM THE AFTERPARTY TO BE RELEASED ON MAY 8 – PRE-ORDER/ADD/SAVE NOW. LIVE DATES WITH ROBYN AND WOLF ALICE ANNOUNCED, SET TO PERFORM AT COACHELLA THIS COMING APRIL
Single out now via Neon Gold / Futures Music Group
Internationally acclaimed, beloved artist and trailblazer Lykke Li releases her haunting new single ‘Knife In The Heart’, the latest offering from her forthcoming sixth studio album The Afterparty, arriving May 8 via Neon Gold Records/Futures.
A stark and hypnotic meditation on emotional survival, ‘Knife In The Heart’ captures Lykke Li at her most visceral. Anchored by droning EBow textures, ghostly orchestration, and a chant-like chorus, the track unfolds like a brutalist lullaby, intimate and anthemic, as Lykke Li’s unmistakable voice cuts through the darkness with conviction.
Speaking on the song, Lykke Li shares:
“This is my brutalist nursery rhyme anthem — the emo girl in me, fully unleashed. I had my son and his friend sing the choruses because the juxtaposition of their voices against the EBow just created such a powerful sonic landscape, somewhere I’ve never really been before. A world totally collapsing in front of us and all we really have left is our humanity. My dream is to hear a whole football stadium chanting: ‘This Life This Life is a Knife in the Heart.’ To me, a pretty accurate description of what it feels like to be alive right now.”
Where her earlier single ‘Lucky Again’ introduced the existential energy of The Afterparty, executive produced by Lykke Li and longtime collaborator Björn Yttling, ‘Knife In The Heart’ plunges deeper into the album’s emotional underworld, turning collective unease into anthem, calling us to sing together in our shared humanity while the world feels like it’s coming apart. Written in Los Angeles and recorded in Stockholm with a 17-piece string orchestra, The Afterparty blends disco-glowing strings, flute flourishes, and what Lykke Li calls “apocalyptic bongos” with lyrics that confront shame, desire, and existential uncertainty. At just 24 minutes, the album is both expansive and exacting, a dance record for the end of the world, capturing the strange clarity that arrives once the party is over.
Across nearly two decades, Lykke Li has carved a singular lane in modern pop defined by emotional extremity, melodic precision, and fearless intimacy. Since her breakout debut Youth Novels (2008) and the global success of ‘I Follow Rivers’, she has continued to evolve through the critically acclaimed Wounded Rhymes (2011), I Never Learn (2014), So Sad So Sexy (2018), and the immersive audiovisual album EYEEYE (2022).

THE SMITH & WESTERN JURY ‘ROLLING THE DICE’ (SINGLE)
The Smith & Western Jury sound like a freight train barrelling past — loud, fast, and impossible to ignore. Forged in the backrooms and beer-soaked stages of Naarm/Melbourne, the band deliver a rock-driven punch laced with western twang: familiar at first glance, but unmistakably their own.
Following their acclaimed 2024 debut Hotel Texas — named ABC Country’s Feature Album of the Week and spun across Saturday Night Country, Edge of Country, and Tower of Song on Double J — the band return with new single, “Rolling The Dice.”
Inspired by a trip through Joshua Tree, “Rolling The Dice” is a blistering, desert-baked track capturing the band at their most urgent: reflective, restless, and unafraid to stare down risk. On a scorching day, greeted by a trailhead sign reading “Don’t die today,” they climbed vast rock formations, heard coyotes across miles of cacti, and passed ancient pictographs etched into stone — reminders of generations who lived in deep connection with the land long before them.
Meanwhile, they were just tourists in backpacks and Converse, underestimating a landscape that demands respect. The experience struck a deeper chord: reflecting on living in Australia — also on stolen land — and the dangers of moving through history without listening. When we ignore the ground beneath our feet, we gamble with more than we realise — we’re rolling the dice.
In October 2025, the band flew to Canada to record their second album with producer Jordan Koop (Orville Peck, PONY), pushing their sound harder and cutting deeper than ever.
From Out On The Weekend to Queenscliff and Tamworth — and sharing stages with Ella Hooper, Luca Brasi and Henry Wagons — their live show stomps, sweats, and leaves no one standing still.
The train isn’t stopping. It’s picking up speed. https://thesmithandwesternjury.com/home
JASON VORHERR ‘ARNOLD’
Australian singer-songwriter Jason Vorherr announces the release of his powerful new single, “Arnold”.
The song is inspired by the extraordinary real-life story of Arnold Dix, the Australian expert who played a pivotal role in the dramatic 2023 rescue of 41 workers trapped in a collapsed tunnel in the Himalayas. His calm leadership and technical expertise during the high-stakes international operation captured global attention and earned widespread admiration.
But Dix’s story extends far beyond that historic rescue.
A barrister, engineer, geologist, truck driver and flower farmer, Arnold Dix embodies a rare blend of intellect, humility and hands-on experience. His life reflects resilience, compassion and a deep commitment to helping others — qualities that struck a powerful chord with Vorherr.
“Some people just quietly get on with doing extraordinary things,” says Vorherr. “When I learned more about Arnold’s life, I felt compelled to write something that honoured not just what he did, but who he is.”
“Arnold” is both a tribute and a celebration — a song about courage under pressure, the strength of character, and the impact one individual can have on the world.
Jason Vorherr – bio
Melbourne singer-songwriter Jason Vorherr has spent decades immersed in the Australian music industry as both a respected touring musician and an emerging voice in Australian storytelling songwriting.
Best known as the long-time bass guitarist for Australian music legend Daryl Braithwaite, Vorherr has performed on stages across Australia and internationally. Throughout his career he has shared stages and collaborated with iconic Australian artists including Glenn Shorrock, Russell Morris, Brian Cadd and Jack Jones.
As a solo artist, Vorherr brings a distinctly Australian voice to his songwriting. His songs capture snapshots of everyday life — suburban streets, ordinary heroes and the humour and resilience found in Australian communities. Blending country, folk and classic pop influences, his music continues the proud tradition of Australian narrative songwriting. Based in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges, Vorherr continues to write, record and perform music that celebrates real stories and real people.
TIM WITHANO ‘THIS IS NOT MY PLACE’ (SINGLE)
A double-decker bus in the rain. A tram winding through San Francisco. A midnight flight with Miles Davis in your ears. This Is Not My Place is a cinematic journey across the world’s most iconic cities — and the quiet realization that none of it means anything without the one person who makes it feel like home.
Blending intimate storytelling with a warm, coastal acoustic feel, the song captures that universal moment when travel loses its magic and love becomes your true compass. Big skies, lonely skylines, and a simple truth at the heart of it all: if they’re not there with you, even the most beautiful places can feel empty.
ABOUT TIM WITHANO: Tim is an award-winning artist who has vast experience performing live playing his original music as well as playing the lead role in a theatre production dedicated to the music of James Taylor for a number of years.
Tim was signed to Herb Alpert’s publishing company Essex Music in Australia until his contract was bought by Warners Chappell. Tim is now a free agent and owns the copyright to all of his songs. Although Tim has had Top 10 success on the country charts in Australia with his acoustic band, “Strum”, his music as a solo artist covers a wide range of genres.
His actual name is Timo (he moved from Finland with his family when he was a toddler) and as long as he can remember he has had to tell everyone he meets that his name is Tim with an “o”. When it came to launching his solo career he decided that Tim Withano would be an appropriate stage name :).
Tim is very much a do-it-yourself guy. He plays guitars that he actually builds himself and records all of his songs in his home studio. Tim also produces his own videos. His videos for Bondi Sand and Bob Dylan and Me are on Youtube.
UNITYTX UNLEASHES NEW ALBUM
SOMEWHERE, IN BETWEEN…
OUT NOW VIA PURE NOISE RECORDS
The wait is over for Somewhere In Between…, the sophomore album from metal/hip-hop fusion band UnityTX. The band’s most aggressive release yet, the record is out now via Pure Noise Records and features recent singles Lucid, Body Roc and Enjoy Tha Show.
“SOMEWHERE, IN BETWEEN… has been an uphill battle, a downward spiral, an unwavering ghost constantly haunting in countless moments of ascension,” shares frontman Jay Webster (aka SHAOLIN G). “A frequency much frayed beyond prior iterations –– practical tactics transmuted into renewable means. The truth in the reality of redemption and the realization of performative declaration.
Per every UNITYTX record, we’ve gone through experiences personally and as a unit that have shaped us into people who don’t stand for monotony. We know what we deserve and will always prove we do the work for our roses.”
He continues: “I’ve yet again undergone a heavy course of contemplation on various things that impact lives other than my own. I’m pushing forward, getting pulled back, being left in the dark, finding the light then sinking back into the drab visual my brain perceives while inducing anxiety.
I wrote this record with no hopes of even being around when it’s finally released to the world. Needless to say I’ve undergone a change of perspective but it was the mood in the moment that fed fuel to the fire.
We are growing now and will continue –– this record is the unraveling of the next chapter and will be definitive to those who have lived without purpose if they seek refuge in the message expressed on this work of art.”
UnityTX is currently supporting Varials across the US. The month long tour began last night in Detroit, with upcoming shows in Chicago, Denver, Anaheim, Dallas, Atlanta, Baltimore, Brooklyn, and more.
SOMEWHERE, IN BETWEEN… – OUT NOW
https://purenoise.merchnow.com/collections/unitytx
About UnityTX: UnityTX have always been ahead of the curve. Leaders rather than followers, the Dallas-based band have been breaking the mold since their inception in 2014 with a ferocious fusion of metal and hip-hop, along with some added electronic flourishes and hints of other genres too. Yet new album Somewhere, In Between is largely inspired by the band feeling that, despite always paving the way, they’ve not been given all the props they deserve.
The result of that frustration is a record that—across 14 caustic, cathartic songs—oozes with both discontent and determination. It’s a (self-)motivating rallying cry to break free from where they feel they are to somewhere else, idealistically and musically, while also staying true to themselves and their original intentions as a band. As such, it also serves as a reaction to the compromises Webster feels the band have made since they started doing it in a professional capacity.
“When we got into the industry,” says frontman Jay Webster (aka SHAOLIN G), “we had to start playing by the industry rules and not so much by the rules that I had set for us. I was trying my hardest to stick to my code, but it felt like it wasn’t ever going to work. This album is what UnityTX used to be before we got picked up. It’s letting go of all the tension that made us feel like we couldn’t do anything in this space and trying to push past that and reach—not our maximum potential—but start to see where else this can go. We’re trying to evolve both as a band and as people.”
Multi-Platinum Western Sydney Artist Youngn Lipz Announces New EP Love Songs For The Streets with Single Cater To You
Western Sydney’s own Youngn Lipz returns with his captivating new single Cater To You, alongside the announcement of his upcoming EP Love Songs For The Streets, a smooth and intoxicating release that further cements his position as the silky and authentic voice of Cabramatta while elevating his sound into a new era of refined melodic R&B. Following the momentum of his widely supported single 2 Shots, Cater To You sees Youngn Lipz lean deeper into vulnerability and devotion without sacrificing the street-rooted realism that has defined his rise, delivering a track that feels equally suited to late-night confession and high rotation airwaves. As one of Australia’s most accomplished contemporary R&B and hip hop exports, Youngn Lipz continues to prove that his Hybrid Flow is not a trend but a movement, bridging modern urban culture with soulful melodies in a way that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant, while the EP promises a body of work that will explore love, loyalty, and life in the Area when it arrives later in 2026.
Cater To You unfolds as a lush, slow burning anthem that blends romantic intensity with quiet confidence, placing Youngn Lipz’s unmistakable vocal tone front and centre against moody, atmospheric production. The record captures a sense of loyalty, desire and emotional depth that showcases artistic growth while maintaining the authenticity that has connected him to millions of listeners worldwide. It is a release that reinforces his ability to move seamlessly between grit and grace, presenting a version of R&B that is luxurious yet grounded, vulnerable yet assured.
Smooth, late-night R&B/trap cut blending melodic flows with romantic lyrics about loyalty, desire, and devotion confident yet vulnerable, floating over moody production with a street-luxury feel.
The release arrives off the back of a formidable run that has positioned Youngn Lipz as one of the country’s most commercially successful and culturally influential independent voices. He boasts over 234 million Spotify streams, with breakout hit Misunderstood surpassing 45 million streams and earning him the APRA Award for Most Performed Hip Hop / Rap Work in 2021, alongside 7 x Gold and 2 x Platinum ARIA Accreditations, including a 2x Platinum certification for Misunderstood. Recent single 2 Shots secured a triple j first play with national radio support and landed across major editorial playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday AU & NZ and Apple Music’s New Music Daily, continuing a consistent run of DSP backing that has also seen releases like Nights Like This and SYD receive first plays, cover placements and high rotation support.
Internationally, Youngn Lipz has drawn attention through high profile collaborations including the official remix of A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s Mood Swings and S1mba’s Rover Remix, the latter surpassing 36 million streams and signalling co signs from global players including Highbridge the Label and Atlantic Records. His rise has been recognised by Rolling Stone Australia, GQ Australia, NME, VICE, ABC and triple j, while live performances at Promiseland, Lost & Found, Rolling Meadows Festival in New Zealand, and as an opening act for A Boogie wit da Hoodie at FOMO have translated streaming dominance into undeniable real world impact.
Cater To You signals the next chapter in a broader campaign leading into an EP and eventual album release in mid to end 2026 under embargo, positioning Youngn Lipz not only as the voice of Western Sydney but as a globally resonant R&B authority whose trajectory continues to rise with purpose, consistency and authenticity.

RUBY JONES ‘NIGHTWALKER’ OUT NOW
ALBUM: SOUVENIR – WEDNESDAY 6 MAY
Ruby Jones returns with hopeful new single ‘Nightwalker’ and announces album pre-orders for Souvenir + upcoming shows!
https://www.instagram.com/ruby.jones.music/
https://www.facebook.com/rubyjonesmusic/
Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Ruby Jones returns with her powerful new single ‘Nightwalker’, out Wednesday 18 March, alongside the opening of pre-orders for her forthcoming album Souvenir, due for release Wednesday 6 May 2026 via Bandcamp.
‘Nightwalker’ follows her previous singles ‘Not Mine’ and ‘Bad Ideas’, lush desert-country psychedelia that offered first glimpses of Souvenir’s expansive sonic palette and emotional depth. What began as a late-night demo that captured the quiet unease and isolation of the time, ‘Nightwalker is inspired by the supernatural mythology of the cult TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
“I wrote Nightwalker during Melbourne’s lockdown, when everything felt chaotic and slightly haunted,” Ruby says. “I was rewatching Buffy, and the idea of a town built over a hellmouth really stayed with me. It felt like my own community was sitting on something volatile, too. The song uses horror imagery as a metaphor for collective grief and isolation, but at its core, it’s about calling your friends back into the light.”
Stream ‘Nightwalker’ – Out Now
‘The track leans into that supernatural imagery and explores the fear of losing the people you love to something unseen. Yet despite its darkness, the song ultimately moves toward release and connection, “I hope it feels freeing and cathartic,” Ruby says. “It’s about darkness, but it’s not meant to sit in it; it’s meant to move through it. I want people to dance, shake it out, and let loose, and by the end feel like they’ve released something and walked away lighter.”
The upcoming record continues the poetic and emotionally raw songwriting that defined Ruby’s acclaimed 2021 debut, The Woman Who Loves You. That release earned high rotation on Double J, a sold-out launch at The Curtin, and runner-up honours in the Darebin FUSE Songwriters Award, cementing her reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling and respected voices. As a former member of Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes, Ruby has also been recognised with an Upstart Music Awards win and was shortlisted for the International Songwriting Competition in 2025, affirming her reputation as a songwriter of rare depth and vision.
Across Souvenir, Ruby explores themes of intergenerational trauma, climate grief and rebirth, weaving them through sweeping arrangements and vivid lyrical imagery. It’s a deeply reflective body of work shaped by themes of climate change, environmental destruction, and collective resilience. The songs were influenced by Jones’ experience of the 2019 East Gippsland bushfires, which devastated the landscape where her family is based, and carry a quiet sense of grief, longing, and determination to hold onto what remains.
Souvenir signifies a bold creative leap, drawing its sonic palette from diverse influences: the ethereal sounds of Stevie Nicks and Florence Welch, the expansive instrumentation of Bruce Springsteen, the raw emotion of Angie McMahon, and The War on Drugs’ atmospheric drive.
The album’s title track, ‘Souvenir’, was written in lockdown while watching aeroplanes; the song contrasts the inability to leave home with the memory of constant touring. The stillness softened the past’s highs and lows. ‘Feeling of Falling’ reframes the pandemic as a toxic lover interested only in a fleeting romance. ‘Not Mine’ was recorded using vintage 1970s tape machines for its warm, cinematic sound. Beneath its cosmic-country texture, the song explores the quiet heartbreak of letting go of an “almost-love” that existed more in dreams than in reality. ‘On Fire’ was born after the 2019 Black Summer bushfires; the song reflects on creating music during a climate catastrophe. ‘Double Feature’, a love letter to St Kilda, is inspired by sorting through childhood photos. It’s filled with local references and is meant to be a musical postcard from the past.
Moving into the second half of the album, ‘Falling Stars’ addresses the fragile nature of creative work and the moments of doubt that lead to questioning everything. ‘Bad Idea’ is the upbeat desert-country psychedelia anthem grappling with Catholic guilt, repression, and internal battles. ‘Breaking My Own Heart’ was inspired by watching friends remain in toxic relationships. The song reflects on the helplessness of witnessing loved ones repeatedly hurt themselves and the quiet hope that they will eventually choose themselves. ‘Loved By You’ is about the desire to distance oneself from a painful moment, allowing time for the memory to soften enough to look at again. The album’s closer, ‘Ghost Story’, is a fictional, one-sided conversation with an estranged person who lingers like a ghost. Writing the song was an attempt to exorcise that presence, or learn to live alongside it, a process connected to sobriety, therapy, and music. It ends the record by acknowledging the ghosts we carry and learning to “sing them to sleep.”
A truly independent project, Souvenir was a collaborative effort, with production led by Jones’ long-time guitarist Jules Pascoe, engineered by drummer Selwyn Cozens, and arrangements developed collectively by Jones, Cozens, Joel Loukes, and Pascoe. The record’s intricate yet organic sound is further enhanced by the beautiful backing vocals of Jess Deluca and Loretta Miller, and mastered by Matt Redlich.
Rapture, rebirth, and kaleidoscopic desert dreamscapes with Souvenir, Ruby Jones steps into a new creative era, ready to commune with the ghosts of her past.

Freya Ridings Announces New Album Mother Of Pearl
Out May 29th On BMG
Freya Ridings Releases Haunting Single ‘I Have Always Loved You’
Listen HERE // Watch The Video HERE
After teasing the record with the evocative ‘Wild Horse’ earlier this year and 2025’s cutting single ‘Wicker Woman,’ one of the UK’s most impressive vocal talents Freya Ridings has announced the release of her stunning new album Mother Of Pearl, which will come May 29th on BMG. Alongside the announcement comes new single ‘I Have Always Loved You’. The track comes alongside a captivating video directed by Nic Minns (Lewis Capaldi, Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie) and shot at Asylum Chapel. Listen to the single HERE & watch the video HERE.
Opening with the empowering and assured banger ‘Euphoria,’ Mother Of Pearl is 11 tracks of flawless beauty. Reinventing herself, while maintaining the voice that has become so recognisable, there’s a defiance and a fire to Freya Ridings’ new era. It’s a strength borne from her journey, forging a path through a patriarchal industry that all-too-often tried to mould her into what they wanted her to be and not what she was aspiring to.
Leaving her hometown of London, Ridings headed to LA for a year to try and reignite her creative light. She surrounded herself with people who truly loved their craft, going into sessions with the likes of Jenn Decilvio (Miley Cyrus, Hozier), Fraser T Smith (Adele, Dave), Adam Yaron (Alex Warren), Toby Gad (John Legend, Beyoncé), Sam de Jong (Gracie Abrams): writers and producers that wanted to hear what she had to say and to elevate it.
“You could feel the electricity and the positivity that they have, and that really recharged me,” she says. “Even just being around them was a joy.” Slowly, the backbone of her new music began to make itself clear: a third act that was not just about reclaiming her own narrative, but celebrating the act of reclamation and return in itself.
“My first album had a colour palette of red and black, for fire and pain. The second album was orange and green – earthy and organic. But this new music evokes water, the big blue sea, with all the depth and ancient power of an ocean: it’s grief and it’s ancestry, the known and the unknown,” Freya says of the album. “There’s a lot of rebellion and female rage that I wasn’t able to express before. I’m rebuilding myself to who I actually know I am instead of what people tried to force me to be.”
The album’s third cut and fan favourite, Freya has also released her emotional new single ‘I Have Always Loved You.’ Written with her friend and songwriter Toby Gadd (John Legend, Beyoncé, Demi Lovato), the track was written at Toby’s studio in LA on Valentine’s Day. “This song is the very (almost uncomfortably true) love story that I never thought I’d ever write down, let alone sing out loud,” Freya says of the track. “Toby asked me, “what’s been the greatest love story of your life?” I took a moment and paused, as it had been anything but smooth sailing and something that felt incredibly private to share, but almost cosmically and magically timed it came out like a voicemail message and is a song that felt like a spell being cast.” Listen to ‘I Have Always Loved You’ HERE.
One of the UK’s finest talents since she broke through with her multi-platinum selling single ‘Lost Without You,’ Freya has had a remarkable career to date. Her self-titled debut album was a BRIT-nominated, Gold-certified triumph, achieving over 1 billion streams and earning 47 Gold and Platinum certifications worldwide. ‘Lost Without You’ also saw Freya become the first female artist to both write and perform a solo Top 10 hit in the UK.
Going into her third album Freya Ridings is not the same artist she was before. She’s had to reach down into the depths and find reserves that she didn’t know she had, and in doing so, she’s tapped into a rich seam of anger and wisdom and womanhood that feels as timely now as it ever was. As she says, “Getting to create, sing and play these songs and have them exist in the real world, that feels like winning to me.”

A moody follow up to January’s pop-punk driven ‘discontent’, ‘resist’ leans into a darker, heavier sound led by co-vocalist Jeremy Allen. Stream ‘resist’ HERE and watch the music video HERE. On March 27, All Regards will launch both singles with a show at Melbourne’s Workers Club. Tickets are on sale now and available for purchase HERE.
On their new releases, co-vocalist Stefan Sepulveda says “there’s a real call to action to get out and create positive change in whatever ways you can”, with both tracks moving through feelings of anxiety, apathy, anger and hope in response to the state of the world and the passage of time.
As Jeremy reveals, “I wrote the lyrics for ‘resist’ as a direct response to the lyrics Stefan wrote for ‘discontent’ in which he wrote about the state of the world from his perspective. It inspired me to do the same which is why both singles are so intrinsically linked together. ‘resist’ for the most part is an honest take on how frustrated one can become with external and internal factors within the world, and that it may not be the picture perfect life planned out for one’s self. It’s also a call to arms that if there is something you want to change to better yourself and you have the power to do it, quit complaining and fight the good fight to turn things around.”
The band collaborated with Jack Newlyn (Between You & Me, Belle Haven) on their new releases, with Newlyn producing, engineering and mixing ‘discontent’ and ‘resist’. Borrowing from the pop punk and alt-rock genres, All Regards are carving out a space of their own, with sharp guitar riffs, punchy drums and hook-driven vocal melodies powered by dual vocalists and guitarists Jeremy Allen and Stefan Sepulveda.
Their electric live shows have gained the group a strong local following, leading to sold out headline shows – including an unforgettable debut EP launch show at Bergy Bandroom in late 2024 – and sharing stages with the likes of ARIA chart toppers SoSo and rising Australian alternative favourites Belle Haven, Down And Out, Darcy Baker and more.

LATE 90s KICK OFF A BRAND NEW ARC WITH FRESH SINGLE ‘IVY’
Having enjoyed a blistering year of shows and releases in 2025, Perth’s alt-rock powerhouse LATE 90s have set their sights on taking things to the next level this year, starting their 2026 chapter with new single ‘IVY’.
As their first drop for the year, ‘IVY’ strikes hard from the onset – an energetic romp that feels right in line with the direction LATE 90s are taking their music. It’s a sound that mixes sophistication in musicality with a gritty authenticity, and it is one that has propelled the four-piece onto more radars nationally in the last 12 months.
For ‘IVY’, the band recorded at Emerald Room Studios. As they explain, the single centres on the “idea of temptation”, drawing inspiration from the Poison Ivy character in the iconic film Batman. Says Stephen Loreck, “Zaac and I were talking about exploring different themes, and we landed on the idea of temptation — that feeling of doing something you know is wrong in the moment, being aware of the consequences, but doing it anyway.”
Adds Zaac Morgan, “When we originally wrote the riff it was a lot slower and a metalcore vibe was more in mind. But we jammed it out and tried speeding it up, which felt a lot more like us. ‘Ivy’ was easily the quickest song musically I think we’ve put together. The tempo just felt right, and it made us all want to run through a wall. I think this song best imitates what we are as a live band. High energy, loud and passionate. Hopefully when people listen it makes them feel the same.”
Since LATE 90s debut in 2021, the group has been taking strides in cementing their status as one of the West Coast’s strongest voices in rock.
With over 2.6 million streams to their catalogue to date, not to mention stand out performances around the country as headliners and supporting the likes of State Champs, Taking Back Sunday, Neck Deep and Hot Mulligan, LATE 90s have redefined their output and creative identity time and time again.
‘IVY’ is out THURSDAY 19 MARCH.

DEVIL ELECTRIC Melbourne’s Premiere Vintage Rockers Next Single Takes You To This Hereafter
Their First Album in Five Years, Tahlia, Arrives March 27
Last month, Melbourne’s elite vintage rock act, Devil Electric came roaring back with Tahlia, the first single from their upcoming third studio album of the same name. It was their first music in half a decade and what a triumphant return it was.
With the impending release of Tahlia the album, dropping like a ten tonne heavy thing on Friday, March 27, the band have released their next slab of epic doom via the monstrous, This Hereafter.
A 9-minute riff-heavy marathon of tension and release through epic highs and crushing lows. This Hereafter, feels like pushing a boulder through desert sands before finally reaching an oasis. Lyrically the most vulnerable moment on the record, the raw emotion is unmistakable, with Pierina’s voice audibly breaking in the closing lines, leaving the listener with a fragile but undeniable glimmer of hope.
It’s a showcase of the bands immersive songwriting and is a pivotal moment over all within the album itself.

DEVIL ELECTRIC RETURN WITH TAHLIA:
A HEAVY RECKONING FIVE YEARS IN THE MAKING
After five years, Devil Electric roar back with Tahlia, their third studio album and most emotionally charged release to date.
At its core, Tahlia is an album about fracture and survival, pain, frustration, and relationships breaking under pressure. Uncannily, its themes mirror the years that followed its recording, which only strengthen the emotive undertones of Tahlia. Delivered through soaring vocals, unforgettable hooks, and searing riffs.
The journey begins with the title track and first single, “Tahlia” a riff-driven return to the band’s classic sound. It charts a visceral descent from rock bottom to redemption. A tango between vintage doom metal and modern heavy rock. Tahlia is a homage to the Latin phrase “that which nourishes me, destroys me” told through a blend of energetic verses, chanting choruses, and moody riffs. All designed to leave the listener in an enigmatic state of mind. From there the band changes pace with “Jill and jack shit,” a swaggering, attitude-laden track that is cut full of spitting vocals and sharp edges, proudly tipping its hat to the grit and character of the band’s hometown, Melbourne.
“Weirdos” pushes the pace further, embracing a punchy, contemporary hard rock energy before diving into more experimental territory with “When We Talk About Nothing.” Inspired by Raymond Carver’s What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, the track strips things back and drags the listener into a heavier, more peeled back space that sets up the epic and hard-hitting “Acid Bath”.
“Acid Bath,” is an instrumental collaboration featuring Lex Waterreus of Seedy Jezus. A slow-burn descent into hazy unease, the track builds an immense wall of sound. The souring guitar solo and unhinged vocal loops by Lex will ensure this song is played on repeat, as it will tickle heavy rock, psychedelic and doom fans alike.
All paths lead to “This Hereafter,” the album’s final track; the longest and most epic doom offering by Devil Electric. Clocking in at nine minutes, it is a marathon of tension and release through epic highs and crushing lows that feel like pushing a boulder through desert sands before finally reaching an oasis. Lyrically the most vulnerable moment on the record, the raw emotion is unmistakable, with Pierina’s voice audibly breaking in the closing lines, leaving the listener with a fragile but undeniable glimmer of hope.
Balancing heavy rock and doom with a contemporary edge, Tahlia is an album that demands to be felt start to finish. Soaring, immersive, and deeply personal, it marks a powerful chapter for Devil Electric and one well worth the wait.

ED O’BRIEN ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM BLUE MORPHO. OUT MAY 22ND VIA TRANSGRESSIVE
Ed O’Brien announces Blue Morpho, his absorbing, second solo album and first under his own name, out 22 May 2026 via his new label home, Transgressive, and releases the title track.
O’Brien likes to quote the Kentucky poet and farmer Wendell Berry: “To know the dark, go dark.” That philosophy became both compass and catalyst for Blue Morpho – a deeply personal album produced by Paul Epworth (Paul McCartney, Adele), born from one of the most challenging periods of his life. Though he remains one of rock music’s most lauded guitarists, Blue Morpho finds O’Brien beginning anew, finally starting to figure out his approach. With its moments of hypnotic psych-folk, radiant guitars, beguiling trip-hop and luminous stillness, it reveals an artist moving beyond familiar structures and feels like a map of O’Brien navigating exciting other ways to listen, work and live. He steps into the dark, and emerges renewed, evident on the stunning and uplifting “Blue Morpho”, inspired by the healing effects of nature.
In April 2020, after releasing his solo debut, Earth, under his initials, O’Brien almost immediately regretted waiting nearly a decade to record those songs while balancing his schedule with Radiohead. Some of its impulses had been lost in the gap, and there was only so much he could do to support it as the world confronted catastrophe. Later that year, O’Brien entered the deepest depression of his life. Encouraged by his wife to sit in the fire of his emotions, he began a daily ritual, immersing himself in the breathing and cold-exposure teachings of Wim Hof, then retreating into his small London studio, playing guitar for hours until his brain began to fray.
There were no directions or preconceptions; O’Brien was simply using his instrument to navigate 50 years of emotional trauma and turmoil that had finally rushed to the surface. Years ago, when O’Brien began writing songs, Thom Yorke had told him a secret key to the craft was being a good librarian – cataloguing ideas when they happened to find and revisit later. As O’Brien played now through his past, his spiritual connection to nature in the Welsh countryside and his beliefs in the possibility of healing, he kept a record of what he was making. Over the next four years, those moments evolved into Blue Morpho, his first album fully detached from past regrets.
A series of serendipitous encounters steadily led to Blue Morpho. After a chance connection through their children’s school, producer Epworth became a key collaborator, leading to focused sessions alongside engineer Riley MacIntyre in Wales where the album’s foundations took shape. Saxophonist and composer Shabaka Hutchings contributed flutes following discussions at Glastonbury about frequency and natural resonance. And in Estonia, O’Brien bonded with composer Tõnu Kõrvits over their admiration for the classicist Arvo Pärt; Kõrvits then arranged strings performed by the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. The album was completed between O’Brien’s studio in Wales and The Church Studios in London, a 200-year-old former sacred space whose atmosphere mirrors the record’s spiritual undercurrent. Sequencing assistance came from Flood, known for his work with U2, PJ Harvey, and Nine Inch Nails, and Ben Baptie handled mixing.
An accompanying short film, Blue Morpho: The Three Act Play, which premiered at SXSW yesterday, will be released alongside the album, with more details to follow.
Blue Morpho is available on CD, cassette, LP, indies exclusive Metamorphosis Edition LP (orange vinyl) and artist store exclusive Chrysalis Edition LP (cream vinyl). A limited edition blue 7″ of the “Blue Morpho” single is available as part of the LP album bundle on the artist store while stocks last.

Anchored by airy production, gentle builds and Gia’s unmistakably warm vocal, the track leans into softness as a strength, allowing emotional honesty to take centre stage.

BABY COOL RETURNS WITH FOOTSTOMPING DREAMSCAPE ‘EVERYTHING’
ANNOUNCES SOPHOMORE ALBUM INFINITY BABY
Baby Cool (AKA Grace Cuell) has given us ‘Everything’. It’s the first taste of her upcoming sophomore album Infinity Baby, also announced today, out June 5. ‘Everything’ is a hand-clapping, mind-bending retro trip through existential contemplation, accompanied by a full length music video.
“This song embodies the desperation that comes from trying to squeeze meaning from every moment… the way that a relentless pursuit for meaning can be an intoxicating and uprooting practice.” Cool muses.
With nods to psych/indie-rock acts like Babe Rainbow, Connan Mockasin and Oracle Sisters, the track’s percussion charges at you, while Cool’s soft and sultry vocals offer a comforting caress. It’s a reminder of life’s push and pull; noise vs. silence; emptiness vs. significance.
“There’s something seductive about believing that every feeling is a sign, every message carries hidden weight, every silence is trying to tell you something. The verses sit in that space — reaching for balance, listening for silence — trying to locate some steady ground. But the chorus keeps asking the same question: are my feet on the ground? It’s a small reality check in the middle of all that searching.”
Also released today is a full length music video for ‘Everything’ which you can watch here.
Where her debut body of work Earthling on the Road to Self Love felt almost whimsical in its search for meaning, upcoming album Infinity Baby is more grounded and honest. The songs move through desire, cynicism, devotion and surrender, sometimes defeat, but always circle back to a kind of hope. It’s a record about patterns: the ones we inherit, the ones we repeat, and the ones we choose to keep.
ABOUT BABY COOL: Baby Cool is the alter ego of Grace Cuell, the co-front-woman of Brisbane alt/psych outfit, Nice Biscuit. She made her solo debut in 2022 with singles ‘Magic’, ‘The Sea’, ‘Poison’ and ‘Daydream’, all lifted from her lush first album, Earthling on the Road to Self Love (2023).
Praised for its warmth and dreamlike swell, Earthling on the Road to Self Love was 4ZZZ’s Album of the Week, featured on the RRR Soundscape and playlisted on RAGE, FBI, PBS, 2SER and RTRFM. The Guardian flagged Baby Cool in its Best New Music column while NME pinned her as an artist to watch in 2023.
No stranger to the stage, Baby Cool quickly accrued some heavy hitting support slots for the likes of Babe Rainbow and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard before travelling to the UK for a co-headline tour with Nice Biscuit, including appearances at The Great Escape and Wide Awake Festival. Since then, she’s added shows with Thee Sacred Souls (USA), Allah Las (USA) and Blonde Redhead (USA) to her touring resume.
Upcoming album Infinity Baby promises an evolution of sorts. As Cuell prepares to welcome her next creative offering into the world, she also prepares to take her first step into real life motherhood. No doubt, this new era will prove fruitful for Baby Cool.
‘Everything’ is available on all major streaming platforms now. Infinity Baby is out June 5.

MONSTROSITY Presents “Banished To The Skies” Video
Screams From Beneath The Surface Album Out Now!
“A strong contender for the title of Death Metal Album Of The Year!” – Rock Hard Germany
US death metal legends MONSTROSITY present their video for “Banished To The Skies,” the ferocious opening track of their Screams From Beneath The Surface full-length, out now on Metal Blade Records.
Drummer Lee Harrison wrote the song during the mixing sessions for MONSTROSITY’s previous album, The Passage Of Existence. It features dark, melodic sections with Mark Van Erp’s basslines standing out distinctly. Intricate hi-hat and ride cymbal patterns blend with Harrison’s signature double bass drumming. Matt Barnes’ iconic solo kicks off the track, delivering a powerful, crushing dynamic to the song. A killer performance from new vocalist Ed Webb tops off the track. The video for the song was captured in Nashville, Tennessee, by Inferi guitarist Malcolm Pugh.

Watch the band’s previously released video for “The Colossal Rage” HERE.
Screams From Beneath The Surface – their first full-length in seven years – showcases the band’s signature blend of aggression, technical precision, and intensity. Led by drummer, founder, and primary songwriter Lee Harrison, MONSTROSITY is reinvigorated with a formidable lineup: long-tenured guitarist Matt Barnes, the triumphant return of original bassist Mark Van Erp, and vocalist Ed Webb (ex-Massacre), whose guttural, visceral delivery injects electrifying new energy into the band’s sound. Screams From Beneath The Surface not only solidifies MONSTROSITY’s hallmark death metal ferocity but also pushes the genre’s boundaries, forging a path that is both innovative and true to their roots.
In a 9/10 rating, Rock Hard Germany calls the record, “A strong contender for the title of Death Metal Album Of The Year!” Aardschok awarded the band Album Of The Month accolades writing, “MONSTROSITY is already setting the bar very high… for the upcoming (death) metal releases of 2026. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard such a strong death metal album, one whose songs, despite – or perhaps because of – their sheer variety and dynamism, remain memorable after two listens and make such an impression. Year-end material,” while Decibel Magazine notes, “MONSTROSITY are doing the aging-like-fine-wine thing after 36 years and seven albums…” Adds Metal Bite, “Screams From Beneath The Surface is indicative of a band with plenty of juice left, plenty of great ideas but most importantly, plenty of understanding of what constitutes the real authentic technical death metal experience. Perfection.”
The recording process spanned multiple studios to achieve sonic perfection. Drums, bass, and mixing were handled at Audiohammer Studios under the expert guidance of producer Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder, Deicide, Job For A Cowboy), while vocals, guitars, and mastering took place at the legendary Morrisound Studios, where MONSTROSITY reunited with revered producer Jim Morris (Iced Earth, Warrant, Savatage), alongside Mark Prator and BJ Ramone. This combination of cutting-edge and classic production techniques ensures a punishing sound that is honoring the band’s storied history while embracing modern death metal’s evolution.

ANNIHILATOR NEWS: REMASTERED REISSUE EDITIONS OF CRITERIA FOR A BLACK WIDOW & CARNIVAL DIABLOS OUT APRIL 17, 2026, VIA earMUSIC
earMUSIC continues the comprehensive Annihilator catalogue revival on April 17, 2026, with fully remastered editions of the band’s late-90s statement albums Criteria For A Black Widow (1999) and Carnival Diablos (2001).
Both albums will be reissued on 180g black double vinyl with 45rpm high quality audio and as CD Digipak editions, featuring refreshed artwork and brand-new sleeve notes by Alex Milas (a. o. Metal Hammer UK), based on new interviews with Jeff Waters conducted specifically for this series.
Founded in 1984 by guitarist and songwriter Jeff Waters, Annihilator remain Canada’s most successful Heavy Metal/Thrash Metal export and one of the genre’s most technically formidable acts. Following their 1989 breakthrough Alice In Hell, widely regarded as a landmark thrash release, Waters steered the band through shifting trends, lineup changes and the turbulence of the 1990s while maintaining Annihilator’s signature fusion of precision, speed and melody.
By the end of the decade, the band stood at a crossroads. Nearly ten years after Alice In Hell, the experimental direction of 1997’s Remains and the changing metal landscape had left Waters reassessing his path. A pivotal moment came when he witnessed Slayer deliver a blistering set in a small venue; a reminder that metal thrives on intensity, not fashion.
Waters responded by stripping Annihilator back to its core. Reuniting with classic-era members Randy Rampage (vocals) and Ray Hartmann (drums), alongside guitarist Dave Davis, he abandoned studio excess in favour of speed, sharpness and real drums. The result was 1999’s Criteria For A Black Widow, a direct, unfiltered return to form.
From the relentless opener ‘Bloodbath’ to fan-favourite ‘Back To The Palace’ and the ferocious title track, the album reconnected Annihilator with their thrash roots while showcasing Waters’ trademark blend of technical finesse and explosive riffing. It restored both confidence and credibility at a time when traditional metal was regaining its footing.
The momentum carried forward into 2001’s Carnival Diablos. Touring behind Criteria… reignited the band’s live energy, but lineup instability persisted. Enter Joe Comeau (ex-Overkill), whose arrival marked a new chapter.
Recorded at Watersound Studios in British Columbia, Carnival Diablos captured a revitalised Annihilator: muscular, confident and unapologetically heavy. From the punch of opener ‘Denied’ to the darker, groove-laden title track, the album leaned into classic heavy metal weight while retaining the precision that defined the band’s early years. It bridged legacy and reinvention, reaffirming Waters’ position among thrash metal’s elite songwriters.
With these reissue editions, Criteria For A Black Widow and Carnival Diablos return to the spotlight: pivotal albums born from recalibration, resilience, and a renewed commitment to pure metal intensity.
The remastered editions will be released on April 17, 2026, on CD and LP.

SAMAEL Release New Single “Hidden Empire”
Strictly Limited 12 Inch Vinyl incl. New Singles “Black Matter Manifesto” & “Hidden Empire” To Be Released on April 24
Following the fierce comeback statement “Black Matter Manifesto”, SAMAEL unveil “Hidden Empire”, the second track featured on their upcoming limited 12″ maxi single vinyl, arriving April 24, 2026 via Napalm Records mailorder and the band’s official shop.
The new song explores the unseen structures shaping modern existence, translating its dark themes into a tense and weighty sonic landscape. Beginning with echoes of SAMAEL’s classic era before evolving into a crushing blend of heavy riffs and mechanical intensity, “Hidden Empire” showcases the band’s ability to balance oppressive atmosphere and hypnotic melody. Together with “Black Matter Manifesto”, the track forms a powerful two-song statement that proves the Swiss pioneers remain as uncompromising and forward-thinking as ever.
SAMAEL on “Hidden Empire”:
“Hidden in plain sight, right in front of us, everywhere and at all times. We no longer see what we are used to seeing, it is our reality, a reality to which we willingly submit in order to lead a painless but meaningless existence.
“Musically, the beginning of the song is somewhat reminiscent of SAMAEL’s classic track ‘My Saviour’, but it quickly evolves into something more unusual for the band. It is a heavy song with an industrial touch that maintains high tension from start to finish.”
Watch the Official Music Video for “Hidden Empire”
Eight years after Hegemony (2017), Swiss metal titans SAMAEL return with the powerful limited 12″ maxi single vinyl Hidden Empire featuring their first new material in nearly a decade. The vinyl will be released on April 24, 2026 and will be exclusively available via Napalm Records mailorder and SAMAEL’s official band shop. Blending black, industrial, and symphonic metal into their own unmistakable signature sound, the band continues to push boundaries with dark precision and apocalyptic grandeur.
“Black Matter Manifesto” marks SAMAEL’s long-awaited return — raw, forceful, and unmistakably theirs. With “Hidden Empire”, the legendary Swiss pioneers reaffirm their enduring presence, delivering a track that commands through its rawness while showcasing the band’s trademark melodies and haunting riffs. SURREAL SCIENCE!!
Never seen before – seminal swamp-rockers The Scientists and Kim Salmon & the Surrealists on the same stage and at times all at once!
An off the rails salvage job fashioned into a beautiful cinematic work of abstract sound and vision featuring the live sounds and performances of 3 drummers, 2 guitarists, 2 bass players, 2 vocalists with all of them drawing on a repertoire of 160 songs to create a never to be repeated experience!
The stage is set for seamless transitions between the various iterations of the Surrealists and Scientists as they pummel, glide and burn their way through a transcendent set that is built thematically and dynamically rather than sequenced chronologically describing their evolution.
—–
The Scientists belligerently eschewed standard melody for minimalism, brutality and abstraction but remained staunchly Rock and Roll. They travelled to the other side of the globe, exploded and imploded, along the way paving the way for Seattle grunge, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Dinosaur Junior, Spaceman 3 and scores of others….
The Surrealists …well…. they took up the Scientists cudgel end belligerently wielded it in their own image! Every performance for them was a salvage job but melody and musician chops weren’t as much to be tossed aside as they were for their predecessors! It was all music let’s face it! It was all fair game! They realised very quickly that they needn’t paint their abstraction with someone else’s palette. And what a sonic picture they painted!
Guitarist Tony Thewlis; bassists Boris Sujdovic and Stu Thomas; drummers Clare Moore, Greg Bainbridge and Phil Collings; along with production engineer Hepburn and vocalist/guitarist Kim Salmon will appear in tandem with a visual presentation of the passed, present and future of both of these bands before during and after the show projected onto, behind and above their performance. Not a tribute but a recognition of their part in this ever-evolving story.
Surreal Science presents the story, not as a narrative but an immersive, inside out, backwards, upside down, sensational experience.
With Surreal Science, you’ll find your mind!
And don’t forget…. Kim’s current band Smoked Salmon have recently released a new 7″ single on Cheersquad Records & Tapes, taken from a new album entitled Totally Sick, which will be released mid-year.
The new single is “Freudian Slippers” and the B-side is “Seein’ Spots”, which won’t be on the album. It is available on limited edition translucent purple 7″ vinyl (100 only), black 7″ vinyl and digitally.
It is available to order NOW from

KIM SALMON…
Art School dropout, seminal punk rocker, and living legend.
Born into the isolation of the semi-industrial wastelands of 1950s outer suburban Perth, Kim Salmon clawed his way out of the swamp and onto the world stage in his bands, the Scientists, the Surrealists, and the Beasts of Bourbon.
Conjuring the nascent snarls of antipodean punk rock in the late 1970’s, Salmon formed the Cheap Nasties at the very crest of the wave, simultaneously making seminal punk music in far flung Perth as the Saints were in Brisbane, Radio Birdman in Sydney and Nick Cave with the Boys Next Door in Melbourne. When the Cheap Nasties split asunder, Kim formed the Scientists, adding explosive pop to the punk raunch.
As the 80’s dawned, Salmon rematerialized in Sydney with a new line-up of the Scientists, and a new sound was born. Dark, primitive, swampy, demented – this was punk, rock n roll, psychobilly and blues all at once – but it was something new too. In the early 90’s Seattle based Grunge would sell millions of records worldwide. In Australia, over a decade earlier, Grunge was simply the noise of the Scientists.
Often referred to as “The Godfather of Grunge” he is cited as a seminal influence on countless bands including Mudhoney, Nirvana, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The White Stripes, Sonic Youth, The Drones and Spacemen 3. Internationally acclaimed, Kim Salmon has played with the likes The Stooges, Television, Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds, The Cramps, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Pop Group and even U2.
Kim Salmon has earned his reputation as an authentic artist incapable of choosing the safe road. For nearly fifty years, he has performed on the world’s biggest stages and with the most remote punk bands; traversing every corner of music and art to create a body of work that stands up with the best.
Kim Salmon is not slowing down.
In recent years he has reignited the legendary Scientists, releasing singles, an EP and full-length album with the classic mark 2 line up – touring nationally as well as America and Europe.
The Beasts (nee Beasts of Bourbon) have completed barnstorming national tours and released a new album.
With the Surrealists, Kim composed, performed and recorded a double album live on camera during the height of the pandemic.
Celebrating his fallen comrades, Kim has written and performed his Haunted Grooves show combining storytelling, songs and pictures – capturing the emotional tales and performances in a soon to be released double LP.
With his latest band, Smoked Salmon, he has toured Europe and Japan – combining classic moments from across his career with a soon-to-be-released album of brand-new original songs.
Despite being the original art school dropout, Kim has turned his younger predilection for drawing into a burgeoning visual art career, with several solo and joint exhibitions and a successful artist in residence sojourn in WA.
HERMITUDE SHARE BLISTERING NEW SINGLE “LIGHT UP” FT. BOB VYLAN FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM EIGHT PRE-ORDER/PRE-SAVE HERE
AHEAD OF NATIONAL TOUR IN MAY
ADELAIDE | PERTH | MELBOURNE | HOBART | SYDNEY | BRISBANE
Multi-platinum Australian electronic duo, Hermitude, today unveil “Light Up”, a blistering new collaboration with English punk rap force Bob Vylan, a volatile, high-octane anthem that channels frustration into collective release and arrives as one of the most urgent tracks on their forthcoming eighth studio album EIGHT, set for release on Friday 17 April.
Written in Marrickville, Sydney, while Bob Vylan was in Australia supporting Amyl & The Sniffers, “Light Up” captures the spirit of artists connecting across scenes, cities and political realities. The result is an uptempo, powerful and unrelenting track driven by distortion, tension and a sense of rising momentum.
The track marks another bold turn in the world of EIGHT, a record that draws from techno, breaks, UK Garage, the rapture of rave culture and freeform genre-collision. Where previous singles, such as “Over You” channelled early 90s warehouse energy and “Royalty” and “For The Night” revealed the record’s emotional range, “Light Up” arrives as its clearest statement of intent: direct, fierce and impossible to ignore.
Meticulously crafted around a vision for energy, simplicity and genre-maxxing, EIGHT is built for collective release, designed to transform rooms into heaving, unified dancefloors. In a cultural moment defined by division and disconnection, Hermitude double down on joy as resistance.
The title EIGHT came to Elgusto and Luke Dubs separately, each drawn to the number as both a milestone and a symbol of infinity – a reflection of longevity, repetition, renewal and the idea that music, when shared, can last forever. Visually, the record sees Hermitude working closely with acclaimed artist Michael Askew, creating an identity built around a remixed, colourful palette of stone tablets and ancient symbolism, reframed for modern dance culture. While, mastering duties were handled by Matt Colton (Tame Impala, Aphex Twin, Little Simz, James Blake).
With a career spanning more than two decades, Hermitude have cemented themselves as one of Australia’s most influential and pivotal electronic acts. Their breakthrough album Hyperparadise earned the Australian Music Prize, with Flume’s remix of the title track surpassing 200 million streams. Follow-up Dark Night Sweet Light debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts, propelled by “The Buzz” with 250+ million streams, firmly placing them on the global map. They’ve since taken their music to Boiler Room, Sydney Opera House, Coachella, Glastonbury and Splendour in the Grass.
In celebration of EIGHT, Hermitude will hit the road this May, lighting up venues across Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney and Brisbane with IsGwan supporting. Tickets are moving fast, head to hermitude.com to purchase before it’s too late.

MUKI Holds the Mirror Up on ‘Reflections’ (SINGLE)
Introspective yet explosive, cathartic yet calm, MUKI (pronounced mʊk-ie) knows how to articulate emotion on his latest single ‘Reflections’. The Naarm/Melbourne-based alt-rock artist is a seasoned full-time performer, and after years of deliberate planning, writing and reflecting, the moniker MUKI was born.
‘Reflections’ follows his debut single ‘Gasoline’ (released in January) which too was a foray into the deeply emotional and vulnerable landscape, with MUKI putting his heart and feelings out there for all to hear. ‘Reflections’ does that again, and lays down a cathartic lyrical narrative that’s equal parts self-aware, sensitive and observant. Reflecting on the track, MUKI says:
“This is a song I wrote soon after the lockdown, touching on identity issues. It takes us through a journey in which every single decision one makes defines the person they become. It’s the small decisions we make that shape who we become. When I look in the mirror it’s hard not to wonder if I’d have been looking at the same person had I chosen a different life or path.”
Electrifying finger picked guitar opens the track, and MUKI’s rich, inviting vocals draw attention from the first beat. The lush and enveloping arrangement is layered and building without ever taking the focus away from the lead vocals and the story being told.
Raw cracks of emotion in the vocal performance drive home the emotive journey that MUKI has travelled writing this expressive song. Subtle auxiliary percussion perfectly complements the rhythmic drive of the guitar, becoming the driving glue holding the beat of the track together. The unsuspecting guitar solo hints at a towering crescendo to carry out the track, before MUKI strips it all back for the final verse, with lyrics speaking to feeling lost and losing faith.
‘Reflections’ (out Wednesday, March 18) showcases the mental metamorphosis MUKI has traversed, promising an emotional depth to be discovered. Catch MUKI at the ‘Reflections’ single launch at Lulie Tavern, Thursday, March 19.

OLD MERVS RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE ‘HEAVY IN THE MORNING’ AS 2026 SHAPES UP TO BE THEIR BIGGEST YEAR YET. CURRENTLY ON THEIR 12 DATE AUSTRALIAN REGIONAL TOUR
HEADLINE USA & CANADA TOUR STARTING IN MAY + PERFORMING AT NEW YORK’S GOV BALL (US) & BOARDMASTERS FESTIVAL (UK)
With just three dates remaining on their 12-stop regional Australian Tour, beloved indie-rock duo Old Mervs today unveil their new single ‘Heavy In The Morning’ (Dew Process/Universal Music). Capturing the loose, carefree energy that sparked its creation, ‘Heavy In The Morning’ was written during what David House describes as “one of those fun off the cuff, see what we can come up kind of days” and feels refreshingly new and unmistakably Old Mervs.
With a nod to nostalgia and an eye on the stage, Old Mervs set out to craft something that would quickly become a live favourite. Henry Carrington-Jones adds, “we went for a surf and got lucky with waves in the morning and the funniest day carried on to one of the funnier songs to write and record. As we were recording, we couldn’t help but think about playing it to people soon and enjoying a singalong!.”
The Kojonup WA born and raised duo have already been warming up the new single on tour to great reception. As noted by Xpress Magazine at their Perth show, the new single is “Enough to feel new but still grounded in the jangly, feel-good indie sound fans love.”
Written in Injidup in South West WA, ‘Heavy In The Morning’ sees Old Mervs reunite with ARIA award- winning producer Chris Collins (Royel Otis, Matt Corby, Ruby Fields), the collaborator behind their #1 self titled debut. The breakout album stormed to #4 on the overall ARIA Album Chart and delivered a run of fan favourites including ‘What You’ve Lost’, ‘Parched’, ‘Don’t Go’, and ‘Everyone Will See It’. ‘Heavy In The Morning’ builds on that momentum, pairing the band’s coastal roots with the sharp, anthemic sound that’s quickly become their calling card.
‘Heavy In The Morning’ arrives with a nostalgic -inspired music video clip directed and produced by Perth based videographer Andrew Briggs, the mastermind behind the visual world for Old Mervs. “The video idea originally came from wanting to highlight small Wheatbelt town called Bolgart. We filmed it on a 38 degree summer day. I was inspired by greats like Ansel Adams, Helmut Newton and Cartier-Bresson and their use of black and white photography and natural light. Henry, Dave and I connect over growing up in small towns, and the video is really about returning to those places as adults and finding beauty in distinctly Australian things we probably once thought were mundane as kids.”
Arriving in the thick of a run of dates that have seen Old Mervs play shows from Scarborough to Toowoomba to Brunswick Heads and Dee Why to name but a few, David and Henry are set to play Miranda, Gosford and Ulladulla before embarking on a headline US and Canada tour kicking off on May 14 in Austin before heading to Dallas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Florida, and Charleston along with performances at New York’s Gov Ball and Milwaukee’s Summerfest in May and Boardmasters Music Festival in the UK in August.
With 92 million+ global artist streams and a fast-expanding global fanbase, Old Mervs stand on the brink of a true breakout year, launching from hometown heroes to global heavyweights.

MAXON SHARES TENDER NEW SINGLE LITTLE BLUE. DEBUT ALBUM TALKING WITH STRANGERS DUE OUT APRIL 8
Stirring, intimate and fearlessly open-hearted, the brand new single Little Blue out now from award-winning singer-songwriter Maxon offers yet another tender glimpse into her upcoming debut album, Talking With Strangers due out on Wednesday April 8. Penned one winter morning on the edge of her bed, Little Blue tugs at the heartstrings while also offering one of her most open-veined singles to date.
Glimmering to life with Maxon’s luminous vocals set against a sparse but warm backdrop, Little Blue swells into a soaring and softly propulsive pop-folk ode to family bonds, distance, closeness and everything in between. Conjuring Little Blue poised on the edge of her bed one winter morning, its arrival was almost instant for Maxon, and it’s one that resonates both universally with its serene splendour alongside its deeply personal narrative. “Little Blue is a soft place to land”, shares Maxon. “Written for my younger brother, it lives in a world of care… the kind that doesn’t try to fix, only to sit beside. It’s full of those quiet, in-between moments: a look across a room, a shared silence, the feeling of wanting to protect someone you love from a world you know can be heavy.”
Produced by Jono Steer, Little Blue also once again finds Maxon teaming up with some incredible artists to bring her creative vision to life, with guest instrumentalists and harmonies effortlessly amplifying the song’s lyrical vulnerability and rumination, as Maxon elaborates, “There’s so much tenderness in the way this song was built. Pamela Zaharias’ drums move gently but with certainty, like breath, while Ezekiel Fenn’s bass and keys wrap around the song with warmth. The pedal steel from Matt Dixon feels like a voice of its own… something aching and beautiful just under the surface. And woven through it all are the harmonies with Nay Pattuwage, holding the song like a conversation that doesn’t need many words.”
Gearing up to release her long-awaited debut album Talking With Strangers on Wednesday April 8, supported by Mornington Peninsula Arts & Culture, Creative Victoria Music Works and City of Melbourne, Little Blue joins Maxon’s earlier singles Everybody, Tangerine Dream and 18, hinting at the depth and sublime beauty lying in wait on her first-ever full-length release. Described as her “loudest love letter so far”, Talking With Strangers traverses heartbreak, longing, healing, rage and radical honesty, while also marking what Maxon describes as a “personal coming out”.
Opening with Americana hues and warm empowerment (Strangers), the album deftly journeys between playful infectious energy (18), blissful melodies and billowing soundscapes (Tangerine Dream), angsty charm that rouses with self-belief (Some Days), hazy self-love delights (Best Shot), soothing softness (Little Blue), elegant defiance merged with country-pop (Rebel), jaunty celebrations of difference (Yabadaba), and undulating swoon set against themes of grief, clarity and coming back to life (No Good For Me). And with penultimate track Everybody dazzling with a rousing reminder of community and connection, Talking With Strangers ultimately concludes in spectacular and stripped-back style with Circles; a piano, voice and the beautiful space in between.
“Talking With Strangers, my debut album, is a love letter to anyone who’s ever felt too much, too late, or too far behind,” shares Maxon. “I’m offering up stories of heartbreak, longing, healing, and rage – all with a whole lot of heart and musicians who play like they mean it. I grew up believing I had to hide my softness, my queerness, my age. This album is me unlearning all of that. This is really a coming out story. Music is where I tell the truth – even when it hurts, even when it’s loud.”
A two-time recipient of the Mornington Peninsula Development Arts Grant, winner of the Green Wedge Songwriting Comp and City of Melbourne Grant Recipient, Maxon’s ability to shatter yet heal hearts with her raw creations and powerful depth simultaneously makes any listener feel instantly seen, understood and coaxed into the light. An LGBTQIA+ creative powerhouse fluent in fusing Americana with 70s folk-rock and a modern sheen, Maxon’s relationship with music spans beyond the studio and the stage. From devouring John Mayer’s Room for Squares on CD on a family road trip through to rapidly developing her own love for singing and songwriting, Maxon has since gone on to share stages and lineups with the likes of Tones and I, Ella Hooper, Alex Lahey more, and has also appeared at major festivals including St Kilda Festival and Melbourne Fringe.
Ahead of the release of Talking With Strangers, Maxon will take to the stage at Glenoura’s Seven Sisters Festival on March 21 and will also tick off an extra special performance on May 7 at The Toff in Melbourne, celebrating the release of her debut album with surprise guests.
Little Blue is out now.

MEGA FÄUNA RELEASE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM SOFTMORE
Masters of creating lush and intimate indie soundscapes, MEGA FÄUNA expand on dreamy notions of life’s myriad experiences across their debut album, softmore. The album, drawing together a meticulously crafted collection of influences, stories and emotional threads, arrives as a beautiful statement of intent from one of the East Coast’s most exciting and dynamic outfits.
For MEGA FÄUNA, the journey to get to this point starts back with their debut in 2020. Created against a social climate that was riddled with uncertainties and a sense of restlessness, MEGA FÄUNA became not only a new avenue for creative expression for these five musicians, but a personal salve during this time. The band, comprising members of outfits THE BUOYS, SWEETIE, WILES SKELETEN, and BABY BEEF features striking personalities and talents that have come together here in building a strong sonic foundation.
Across softmore, the listener is able to immerse themselves in these moments of charismatic indie Australiana. From the jangle-laden vibrancy of lead single ‘heartbeat’ and driving pace of ‘bb there’, this is an album primed to get lost in.
A song like ‘make believe’ hypnotises, as the lyrics navigate the complexity of a relationship “with someone who takes you for granted. Where you have lost yourself in someone else. Almost in idolisation and adoration, and feeling that they only value you when you are something to lose, or when they need something…”
It’s this intimate space that MEGA FÄUNA are at ease creating from. Guitars blend beautifully with synths and rhythms to offer moments of nostalgia and hazy romanticism, but in the vocals, the listener can find a striking anchor that holds steady throughout the whole journey. The group explores the natural passage of time (‘new skin’) and life’s unique catalyst moments (‘unheld’, ‘windows down’) in a way that remains accessible, yet incredibly personal.
“This collection of songs are musings on femininity. The softness, the secondness, the strength and the compelling force of it. Reckoning with how it binds us and liberates us.”
They are wanderings in the dark of night, drenched in question and rinsed in exaltation. They are a dance with a stranger and a song to oneself, a spell on a forgone lover and the ecdysis that follows on. They are for us and soon they will be for you too. You can imagine them with us, as tight knit tourniquets for your dreams.” MEGA FÄUNA
Making their debut in 2020 with the song ‘Jacaranda’, MEGA FÄUNA developed a strong community following quickly as ensuing music releases cemented their status as ones to watch. A string of singles that would lead to the Fibonacci Sequins EP demonstrated their natural knack for intimate songwriting and storytelling while musically, the band presents charisma and a heartfelt bond with ease.
Notable performances have included SXSW Sydney and the King Street Crawl, as well as support for the likes of RVG, Otoboke Beaver, Body Type, Los Bitchos and more. To date, MEGA FÄUNA’s music has received healthy support via rotation adds on community radio, as well as a growing community on streaming services, attracting over 140,000 streams on Spotify alone.
The band will officially usher in the softmore era with a Sydney album launch on April 24 at the brand-new Heaps Normal venue in Marrickville.

JUSTIN DAVIES AND THE TORTURED SOULS SHARE AFFECTING SINGLE AND VIDEO ‘UNFORGETTABLE DAYS’
Perth singer-songwriter Justin Davies makes an instantly memorable debut for his new project The Tortured Souls with the release of his poignant new single Unforgettable Days, out today. The single lands alongside the announce of The Tortured Souls’ show opening for Ron Sexsmith’s Hangover Terrace Tour, set to play The Rosemount Hotel on April 26.
Soaring piano melodies blended with rousing percussion and string arrangements sees this new single as an affecting, emotional, and powerful debut. Produced, mixed, and mastered by award-winning, two-time GRAMMY nominated, producer/engineer Rob Grant (Tame Impala, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Josh Homme) and featuring backing from a stellar lineup of Perth-based musicians including drummer Malcolm Clark and bassist Jay Cortez (both formerly of Aussie alt-rock heroes The Sleepy Jackson) and members of the internationally acclaimed West Australian Symphony Orchestra, the track heralds Davies’ deeply emotional full-length debut album, arriving later this year.
“‘Unforgettable Days’ is about lost love, but maybe more importantly, the beauty and magic and foreverness that seems to surround you on certain days or at certain times in life,” says Justin Davies. “The wonderful feeling that envelopes and fills you and is ever-present, long after those days have passed. It is a song of longing and loss, but it makes me feel a sense of promise and hope and nostalgia, maybe not in the lyrics, but in the way it ‘lifts’ in the chorus. And I guess I’m feeling that although life can be sad, there are times when it is also uplifting and overwhelmingly beautiful. The song reflects on someone I loved a long time ago, a young love, and how overwhelmingly wonderful our days were together. The reflections within ‘Unforgettable Days’ are also connected to words in the song ‘Promises.’ I remember the day when the light ‘was soft’ in the afternoon and laying on the grass in the middle of a farm paddock. I remember, too many times, kissing away tears when she felt she had been unloving toward me and was sorry. In the early years we would lay together and fall asleep humming and singing songs together. In later times, I did often reach for her to stay with me during the night and her kissing me goodbye, and how empty I felt. And although she left me, I regret not trying harder to keep her from leaving. But within all of that, I can still feel those beautiful, magical moments, like the afternoon laying in the setting sun in the middle of a farm paddock, and the preciousness of those days lives on.”
Accompanying the track is an introspective music video, produced and directed by Patrick Pierce and Dara Munnis from Dead As Disco (Jimmy Barnes, The Paper Kites, The Cat Empire), that blends stunning visual story telling with incredible production value. Balanced between spectacular arial shots, intimate studio lighting, and projected personal memories behind Justin’s performance, the music video effortlessly ruminates on the track’s subject matter of days gone by.
Justin Davies did not set out to become a singer and songwriter, but the lasting effects of a tragic personal loss and some serendipitous cosmic intervention set him on a hitherto unforeseen path towards extraordinary artistic creation. The youngest member of a musical family that includes ARIA Award-winning musician/composer Ashley Davies and acclaimed singer-songwriter Tanya-Lee Davies, he had spent much of his adult life as a successful entrepreneur and businessman in his native Western Australia. Outside of his professional work, Davies also found time to devote himself to a wide range of philanthropic activities, instigated numerous fundraising events supporting local charities and a variety of national and international nonprofit organizations. But sadly, the untimely passing of a loved one to a fatal overdose more than two decades ago continued to haunt him, colouring his busy life with a bruising heartache and crushing disillusionment he simply couldn’t shake.
Whilst visiting a local music shop in 2023, Davies found himself overpoweringly drawn to “the most beautiful guitar I had ever seen, resting there like it was waiting for me.” Despite little more than a rudimentary ability to play the instrument, he put down a deposit and took the guitar home with the idea of writing a song that would perhaps release some of irrevocable sadness and still-burning love he felt inside. Davies’s fingers intuitively found their place on the fretboard, taking him to the sounds he needed, admittedly without him actually knowing what chords he was playing. Lyrics came just as naturally, emerging from a place of truth and reflection as well as how he hoped others may have felt living through similar longing and regret. Music became his sanctuary, with songs flowing effortlessly until he found himself with more than enough material to consider making an album.
Davies reached out to renowned producer/engineer Rob Grant, thinking the vintage analogue equipment at his Poons Head Studio on the West Coast of Australia would yield a sonic authenticity ideally suited to his classic pop songcraft. Taken with Davies’ intimate, evocative songs, Grant helped enlist a gifted assortment of local musicians who he believed would more than do justice to the purity of the material. The arrangements soon took shape from Davies’ original guitar-and-vocal compositions, with all involved falling into a place of genuine friendship and commitment to the project. Nothing was forced or expected, everything simply flowed from the essence or groove of where or how each song should be in its final form. Together, Davies and his collaborators forged a timeless yet idiosyncratic collection rich with organic spontaneity and emotional depth, with songs like the country-inflected “Never One To Love” and the grooving, Hammond-driven “No Tomorrows” each unfolding with collective harmony and ingenious spirit.
Just one year after his surprising musical journey truly began, Davies is now poised to shared his soulful creation with the world beyond. With Unforgettable Days– and more new music to come, Justin Davies proves himself an exceptionally reflective singer and songwriter of the first order, weaving vulnerable melancholia and wistful resilience into a bittersweet, empathetic baroque pop all his own.
“It’s time and meant to be,” says Justin Davies. “It gives some sort of purpose and meaning to years of starting the days below zero. Without the sadness and searching, I wouldn’t have found my peace within the songs and the songs would never have made their way to the surface. The feelings which had a hold of me would’ve held their grip, and the words and music would never have arrived. Thank goodness to be releasing the song, it’s not an incredibly intricate or an overly complicated song, but it’s the best thing I have ever done.”
Unforgettable Days is out today.

Northern Ireland’s Two Door Cinema Club formed in 2007 and have since released five hugely successful records, as well as sold out shows and headlined festivals across the globe, with fans flocking to hear their unique blend of guitar-driven post-punk hooks paired with electronic, danceable beats. Two Door Cinema Club first gained attention with their 2010 debut album Tourist History containing their break out singles ‘What You Know’, ‘Something Good Can Work’ and ‘Undercover Martyn’, which took them from their garage in Bangor, where they wrote their iconic album, to main stages of festivals around the world.
The band have continued to evolve, peaking at #2 in the UK’s official Albums Chart with 2012’s follow-up album, Beacon, and then with Giorgio Moroder-esque disco and synth pop on 2016’s Gameshow, paving the way for 2019’s new wave-inspired False Alarm and 2022’s Keep On Smiling, which have all landed in the top 10 of the UK charts. Off the back of that, the band embarked on a sold out 30-date amphitheatre tour of the United States in 2024, with the band finishing the year with a sold-out Australian arena tour culminating in an incredible performance at the iconic Sydney Opera house forecourt. Now, Two Door Cinema Club are looking forward to performing Tourist History in full for its 15-year anniversary, including appearances at major festivals and arenas in Portugal, Spain, Ireland, the UK and New York’s Madison Square Garden, before bringing their electric show our shores.
On returning to Australia, Two Door Cinema Club said “We have some incredible memories of time spent in Oz and NZ and we can’t wait to get back for some really big shows. I don’t know what it is about the southern hemisphere but you guys just know how it’s done.
With two of indie rock’s most beloved bands sharing the stage, these shows promise a night of nostalgia, sing-along anthems and the unmistakable energy that made these records instant classics.

‘don’t know who my friends are’ sees Byron Spencer’s angelic, emotional, and operatic yearnings blended into what the duo calls “spiritual dance music”, a sound described as “a dump dive blender of the internet, reverse garbaged and crystal polished”. This new track is a powerful exploration of vulnerability and identity, an introspective and emotionally resonant anthem.
The single is helmed by Danial Stricker (from electro-pop icons Midnight Juggernauts, and producer for artists like Kid Cudi and SebastiAn) and co-produced by Matias Téllez (Girl In Red, Aurora) alongside Andrew Klippel (Synthesizers), Max Baby (Guitar), and Andrew Szekeres (Bass). The project is built on a community of collaborators, with contributions from celebrated names including Jamie xx, John Carroll Kirby, Kirin J Callinan, and Sebastien Tellier. Influences for the music are as disparate as Hollywood musicals, Rave, Classical, Opera, and internet clickbait, unified by a shared love for a great melody and pop hook.
DeepFaith’s debut single ‘Y&I’ was widely praised as a “baroque club fever dream” [Buzz Magazine UK], with Gaspard from Justice proclaiming it as the “Best song i’ve heard in years’ and Justice choosing it as their Number 1 Australian song on their recent Apple Music Australian artists playlist. An international following has been brewing with remixes by Nina Kraviz and Breakbot. The duo’s legendary live shows, equal parts performance art and digital hallucination, have already taken over spaces from art galleries and museums to infamous clubs like Berghain. The duo have also performed a digital opera at the Art Gallery of NSW alongside Andre 3000 and Kim Gordon, and toured with Genesis Owusu, The Avalanches, Jamie xx, and The Dare.
Daniel says: “I met Byron when he was a super shy guy, he came from a small country town in Australia, from a religious military school… I feel like this song really represents the metamorphosis of you can be whoever you wanna be, even if you feel like you don’t know who you are.”
Byron Spencer adds: “Whoever you are, fly high. This song is a glittering shield, a defence you wear after years of being pushed away from your true self. It embraces the masks, questions identity, and speaks directly to the forces that try to erase you. It’s a reminder to protect the unknown parts of yourself and reach for the stars.”
