Australian Musician magazine and Empire Music Studios present CAPTURED LIVE, an evening of celebration of the photographic work of JASON ROSEWARNE and 3 Decades of Australian Musician magazine.
JASON ROSEWARNE PHOTO EXHIBITION
Taking place on Wednesday December 2, 2026 at Empire Music Studios, 9 Northern Rd Heidelberg West, from 5.30pm attendees will be able to view Jason’s wonderful gallery of photos… and you’ll also be able to purchase framed prints on the night, with funds being donated to NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia.
CELEBRATION CONCERT
Then from 7.30pm we will present a 2 hour concert (with interval) featuring many of the artists that Jason has captured over the last 11 years, while shooting for Australian Musician.

$5 from each ticket will be donated to NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia.
Your ticket includes a selection of hot canapés and a light supper served throughout the venue. Empire has a fully licensed bar for drinks throughout the night.
The evening will also be recorded in the main studio by Trevor Carter with a view to release a live album, with all sales proceeds donated to NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia.

Since coming to the attention of Australian Musician magazine at the 2015 Melbourne Guitar Show, Jason was quickly called upon to shoot ensuing guitar shows, as well as local and international concerts and festivals. Some of Jason’s finest work can be found in the Australian Musician magazine galleries for Bluesfest Byron Bay, Winter Blues, Riverboats Festival, Blues Guitar Roadshows, Red Hot Summer Tours, A Day On The Green and stadium tours by artists such as Paul McCartney, AC/DC, Kiss, Metallica, Robbie Williams, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and more.
About Australian Musician magazine
Australian Musician magazine was first launched by the Australian Music Association in December 1995 as a quarterly, colour publication in print. Its aim was to inform, educate and entertain local musicians of all levels. It was an initiative of AMA executive committee member, Alex Bolt and was produced by Executive Officer Rob Walker, who acted as Managing Editor, and was designed and edited by Greg Phillips (Mediaville). Greg was appointed Managing Editor in 2001 and has continued in this role to the present day.
The print version of Australian Musician featured artist interviews, album reviews, gear news, gear road tests, and music lessons. Some of Australia’s most respected musicians such as Tommy Emmanuel, INXS, Kate Ceberano, Wolfmother, Little Birdy, Paul Dempsey and Dave Graney have personally contributed to Australian Musician magazine. One of Australian Musician’s most publicised editions was the Ms Musician Edition (distributed in December 2007), an all-female edition guest edited by Capitol Recording artist Clare Bowditch, in which all content was about female artists and written by female writers. Other issues of note were the 50 Significant Moments in Australian Pop/Rock issue, as well as issues guest edited by The Drones and Powderfinger.
The print version of Australian Musician specialised in covering band soundchecks, whereby the magazine was granted editorial and photographic access to some of the world’s finest acts during rehearsals, giving its readers a view of rock music from the inside. Artists that have allowed the magazine access include The Rolling Stones, Beyonce, Brian Wilson, Joe Satriani, The Thrills, Roger Waters’, Sepultura and many more.
Australian Musician was relaunched in March 2014 as an online publication with the same goals and philosophies – assisting the Australian music community by providing artist exposure and information on, and promotion of, the tools that musicians use to create their art. In July 2023 Australian Musician was acquired by editor Greg Phillips, who now runs the online magazine independently.
Australian Musician’s YouTube channel has grown to include over 1.7 thousand videos from interviews to gear demos and performances, gaining over 4.6 million views. The AM Facebook page is supported by well over 13k followers and you can also find Australian Musician on Instagram and X.
About Empire Music Studios
For 40 years, Studio 52 and Empire Music Studios have been an important part of Melbourne’s professional recording landscape. Established by Paul Higgins and Trevor Carter in Collingwood in 1986, the business has welcomed an extraordinary range of Australian and international artists, recording more than 1000 albums. About NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia
NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) was founded in 2009 by John and Simone Leyden, after their sister Kate was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. Determined that no one else should face the same lack of information, understanding, and support, they created what was then known as the Unicorn Foundation – the first Australian charity dedicated solely to neuroendocrine cancer.
