The Bank of Melbourne presented it’s annual Melbourne Music Bank competition final last night on the stage of the opulent State Theatre. Jade Alice took out first place for her performance of ‘Kick Drum’. As the winner of the competition, Jade receives two days of recording at Sing Sing studios, a film clip by Oh Yeah Wow, album artwork, printed CDs and the chance of her winning song to feature in a Bank of Melbourne TV ad, plus there’s an abundance of career assistance from industry experts. The other finalists who performed on the night included Napier, DL (feat Jason Heerah) and Sam O’Connell. They each received cheques for $500. The evening was hosted by Melbourne Music Bank ambassador Ella Hooper, who also performed a couple of tunes
