Bachelor Girl are hitting the road with a landmark national tour, announcing their mammoth Waiting for the Day Redux Tour 2027, a 30 date run spanning six states across March, April and May 2027, taking the much loved pop duo to fans in all pockets of Australia for an exciting new chapter in their illustrious career.
Following a sold-out capital city tour in 2026, Bachelor Girl are taking their newly acclaimed #2 debut Aus ARIA album on the road, bringing their reimagined catalogue to regional communities across the country. Kicking off in Moruya NSW on 26 February, the expansive tour will travel through New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, with stops in Merimbula, Tumbarumba, Katoomba, Bathurst, Ballarat, Geelong, Wollongong, Richmond, Belconnen, Goulburn, Dodges Ferry, Ulverstone, Launceston, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Avoca, Castlemaine, Hepburn, Cleveland, the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Wangaratta, Albury, Adelaide, Perth, Margaret River and Warrnambool, before wrapping up at Melbourne’s iconic Northcote Social on 29 May.
For lead singer Tania Doko, the tour is about taking these songs beyond the familiar. “Many of the towns on this run are places we’ve never played headline shows before. Bringing our redux ‘Artist Sessions’ project to unchartered territory is the ultimate sonic expedition – to every corner of Oz,”explains Doko. “The creation of the album, and the response to it, has been nothing short of extraordinary – definitely one for the pool room! But James and I aren’t ready to file this under ‘great memories’ or let it gather dust. There’s still so much life in these songs…”
James adds, “Records are great, but live gigs and real life audiences are another level.”
In 2026, Bachelor Girl revisited the album that started it all with Waiting for the Day: Artist Sessions, an inspired reimagining of their original double-platinum record, now featuring some of Australia & NZ’s most celebrated artists, including Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Darren Hayes, Tommy Emmanuel, Ella Hooper, Kaylee Bell and Courtney Act, among others. First released in 1999, Waiting for the Day earned the duo an ARIA Award for Producer of the Year and a PPCA Award for Most Broadcasted Australian Artist, while its enduring smash hit Buses and Trains cemented its place among Australia’s 100 greatest songs. Decades on, the album remains a cornerstone in Australian pop/rock, with the duo’s dynamic, hit studded live shows continuing to resonate with audiences nationwide.
