BREEDLOVE GUITARS RETURN TO OCEANIA

Amber Technology is pleased to announce the return of Breedlove Acoustic Guitars to Australia and New Zealand. Musicians can enjoy Breedlove’s sustainable sounds with the new ECO Collection of tonewood guitars launching this month.

Breedlove is committed to sustainability. Designed in Bend, Oregon, USA, the ECO Collection is an innovative collection of acoustic guitars created exclusively using clear-cut free, salvaged, and individually harvested native and exotic tonewoods to preserve and protect the forest, its habitats, and the communities it serves. Tom Bedell, owner, Breedlove, has personally visited forests around the world, meeting with suppliers, mills, and local families to ensure best practices.

This commitment requires no sacrifice in sound quality, build quality or beauty, and Breedlove can trace every piece of wood in its guitars back to its origin.

Every USA-Made in Bend sustainable Breedlove instrument is hand crafted, hand voiced, and Sound Optimized®, with carefully matched tops and backs sanded to weight, not thickness, and tuned to target frequencies for consistently powerful sound, rich tone, and remarkable projection, and sustain across all four of Breedlove’s revolutionary body shapes.

The Breedlove ECO Collection guitars make laminate technology sustainable. It introduces a resonant core tonewood layer of clear-cut free, individually harvested African mahogany in place of the typical tone-robbing softwoods used in standard acoustic guitar manufacturing. Coupled with Breedlove’s deep research into revolutionary body shapes, building to target tonewood weight adds to the optimised, natural sound of each guitar in the ECO Collection.

“For the first time, this new collection allows musicians to play in an environmentally friendly way featuring a solid top guitar with vibrant, renewable, sound enhancing EcoTonewood back and sides,” commented Tom Bedell. “The new Breedlove Discovery S, Pursuit Exotic S, and all-African mahogany Rainforest S models feature fully sustainable, integrated tonewood technology, meaning that great, affordable, natural sound can be good for the earth, too.” Commenting on the new partnership, Amber Technology managing director Peter Amos said “The team at Amber are pleased to welcome Breedlove Guitars into our musical instrument (MI) portfolio. Breedlove offer guitarists a unique opportunity to combine music with environment, and we look forward to working with the Breedlove team.”

All ECO Collection guitars feature Breedlove’s pinless bridge design.

The Breedlove ECO Collection will be available at selected reseller partners from July. Amber Technology will release the Breedlove Made in Bend range later in 2022.
