Entries are now open (and closing 5pm July 7) for the prestigious Melbourne Prize for Music 2025 & Awards. The annual Melbourne Prize, run by the Melbourne Prize Trust, operates in a three-year cycle, which includes Literature, Urban Sculpture & Music and in 2025, it’s music’s turn once again.

Past winners have included Missy Higgins, Deborah Cheetham, Mojo Juju, Andrea Keller, Kate Miller-Heidke, Kutcha Edwards, Scott Tinkler and many more. Now entries are open for your opportunity to participate.

The Melbourne Prize for Music 2025 & Awards comprises of:
Melbourne Prize for Music 2025 – $60,000
The Beleura John Tallis Award for Emerging Composers – $20,000
Professional Development Award – $10,000
Falls Creek Musicians Residencies – two 14-day residencies + $1,000

It’s open to all music genres (performers and composers)
For Victorian residents only
Artists may apply directly or be nominated
