PETER NOBLE: BLUESFEST FESTIVAL DIRECTOR TALKS DIVERSITY & DISCOVERIES

Caravana Sun by Jason Rosewarne

Bluesfest, Australia’s most awarded music festival is a little over a month away taking place from Thursday 28 March to Monday 1 April at the beautiful Byron Events Farm (formerly the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm).

This year Bluesfest features Tom Jones, Jack Johnson, Jimmy Barnes, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, The Teskey Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Taj Mahal, The Cruel Sea, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Peter Garrett, Tommy Emmanuel (his first time as a Grammy Award winner!) and Tim Finn, to name just a handful of acts.

Check out the full lineup below or here thru to website HERE

Located just 10 minutes north of Byron Bay, NSW, Australia, Bluesfest is well-situated and surrounded by the charming village of Mullumbimby and the beach towns of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads and has long been Australian Musician magazine’s favourite music festival.

It also happens to be Bluesfest’s 35th anniversary, so there will definitely  be a celebratory vibe about the event this year.

Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips caught up with Bluesfest Director Peter Noble recently to chat about the diversity of this year’s 35th Anniversary lineup, the discoveries you’ll make, the new implementations to the event to enhance your festival experience and the challenges of putting on a music festival of this scale.
