FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY… DIANA ROSS TO HEADLINE SYDNEY SUMMERTIME FOR HER ONLY AUSTRALIAN SHOW

Diana Ross is returning to Sydney for the first time in more than two decades, headlining the Sydney Summertime concert series for her only Australian performance on Friday, 5 March 2027.

Presented by Black Peach Touring, the legendary performer will bring Diana Ross Freedom in Motion to Centennial Park for an exclusive, one-night-only concert, taking place on the eve of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

Joining Ms Ross for an exclusive Australian set will be Groove Armada (DJ Set), the acclaimed British electronic music duo behind dancefloor anthems ‘Superstylin’, ‘I See You Baby’ and ‘My Friend’. With a career spanning three decades, the duo have become one of the UK’s most celebrated dance music acts, with more special guests to be announced soon.

Taking place during one of Sydney’s most celebrated weekends, the concert will be a major addition to the city’s 2027 cultural calendar, giving fans from across Australia another reason to visit Sydney and make a weekend of its world-famous Mardi Gras celebrations.

Diana Ross is the ultimate entertainer who has blazed a trail of glory across decades. Her unparalleled vocal artistry, genre-defying style, on-stage glamour and unstoppable creative force continue to rewrite popular culture.

Ms Ross rose to global prominence as the leader of The Supremes, shattering records with hits like ‘Where Did Our Love Go’, ‘Stop! In the Name of Love’ and ‘You Can’t Hurry Love.’

As a solo artist, she continued to break boundaries with timeless classics including ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’, ‘Upside Down’, ‘The Boss’, ‘Touch Me in the Morning’, ‘Endless Love’ and ‘I’m Coming Out’. Her artistic essence transcends music, with a profound influence on fashion, stage, film and television.

A recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and American Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award, Ms Ross is a legend in every sense.

Created and presented by Black Peach Touring, the new concert series is the first major project from founders and directors Jessica Ducrou and Elise Huntley, who each bring more than 30 years of experience in Australia’s live music industry.

Jessica Ducrou and Elise Huntley, Co-Founders and Directors of Black Peach, said “Diana Ross is an absolute icon and to have her choose Sydney Summertime for her only Australian show, one night only in Centennial Park, on the eve of Mardi Gras is exactly the kind of unforgettable moment we created this series for. It’s going to be something very special.”

Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper said: “Diana Ross is one of the most iconic performers in music history, with a career spanning decades and a catalogue of hits loved by generations of fans. To have an international superstar of her calibre headline at Sydney Summertime for an Australian-exclusive performance is a major coup for NSW. Events like this are a powerful driver of tourism. They bring more visitors to our state, generating economic benefits for local businesses and jobs, and reinforce NSW’s reputation as a destination for world-class live music and entertainment.”

Beyond the stage, guests can enjoy Sydney restaurant pop-ups, food trucks, bars and hospitality offerings throughout Centennial Park.
