The RG is the most recognizable and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez line. Three decades of metal have forged this high-performance machine, honing it for both speed and strength. Whether you favour a hardtail (fixed) bridge or our industry-leading locking tremolo system, the RG is a precision instrument.

Felipe Andreoli, a native of São Paulo, Brazil, stands today as a globally acclaimed bassist. Felipe’s mastery of the bass has earned him the title of Brazil’s best bassist for 23 uninterrupted years across various esteemed platforms. His expertise has been recognised with multiple cover features in prestigious music magazines both in Brazil and internationally.

During the development process of his signature model, Felipe teamed up with Ibanez to design a BTB bass that would be accessible to as many players as possible without compromising its essential specs, such as neck-through construction, 35” scale length, zero fret, and mono-rail bridge. The result of this collaboration is the FAB1-WK, which features the powerful α1 pickups, sleek all-black hardware, and vibrant white pearloid block inlays – all designed to complement Felipe’s technically diverse playing style.
Marcelo Barbosa, born in Brasília, Brazil, began playing guitar at 12 and was influenced by Brazilian rock alongside of iconic bands like Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and so on.

MB10-BKN, his first signature model from Ibanez, is based on the AZ Standard and has not only cosmetic appeal like Black Night finish with metallic flakes, Black circle inlay on the fingerboard as on his beloved AZ Prestige, but also the metal dome knobs that were chosen for his playing needs. Marcelo’s own signature can be found on the guitar’s rear control cavity plate as well.
