Amber Technology has announced the Australian availability of the Mark Levinson 600 Series, bringing three new high-performance preamplifier and amplifier components to Australia through Amber Technology and its authorised dealer network.
The range includes the № 626 Dual-Monaural Preamplifier, the № 632 Dual-Monaural Amplifier, and the flagship № 631 Monaural Amplifier. Designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA, the 600 Series builds on more than 50 years of Mark Levinson audio engineering, incorporating the brand’s Pure Path circuit philosophy, comprehensive connectivity, and distinctive Tectonic industrial design.
A new generation of Mark Levinson design
Each 600 Series component uses Mark Levinson’s proprietary Pure Path circuit approach and Tectonic industrial design.
The aluminium and steel chassis incorporates a glass centre panel, signature red accent lighting, and mechanically isolated feet designed to reduce vibration. Internally, modular construction separates key circuitry and power-supply sections to support signal integrity and low-noise operation.
Jim Garrett, senior director, product strategy and planning, HARMAN Luxury Audio, said, “The 600 Series reflects more than 50 years of Mark Levinson audio engineering and has been developed to capture the emotion, power, and nuance of musical performances.”

№ 626 dual-monaural preamplifier
The № 626 combines a fully balanced analogue signal path with high-resolution digital processing.
Its Precision Link III digital-to-analogue converter supports digital audio resolutions up to 32-bit/384kHz and provides six digital inputs. The preamplifier also includes balanced and single-ended analogue inputs, a Pure Phono Class A moving-magnet and moving-coil phono stage, and a Main Drive Class A headphone amplifier.
Its modular architecture isolates analogue, digital, and power-supply sections, while mechanically isolated feet reduce vibration between the component and its supporting surface.
№ 632 dual-monaural amplifier
The № 632 is a dual-monaural stereo amplifier designed for high-performance two-channel systems.
It features a discrete signal path, Class A/AB operation, balanced and single-ended analogue inputs, and an ultra-low-noise toroidal linear power supply. Its dual-monaural configuration separates the left and right channels, while Mark Levinson Hurricane loudspeaker binding posts provide flexible speaker connectivity.
№ 631 monaural amplifier
The flagship № 631 is a dedicated single-channel amplifier featuring a fully differential, fully discrete architecture.
Like the № 632, it uses Mark Levinson’s Pure Path circuit design, Class A/AB operation, balanced and single-ended inputs, and an ultra-low-noise toroidal linear power supply. A selectable high-bias mode provides additional flexibility for high-performance listening systems.
The № 631 will be available by the end of September.
Both amplifiers use the 600 Series Tectonic chassis design and mechanically isolated foot architecture.
