Barry Adamson should need no introduction. The legendary audio artist known for his eclectic and genre-defying work, is returning to Australia for a highly anticipated tour, following the release of his tenth album, Cut To Black.
Adamson first made his mark as the bass player for the British punk band Magazine, before establishing himself as a key figure of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Beyond his role in these iconic groups, Adamson also gained widespread acclaim for composing a significant portion of the score for David Lynch’s haunting Lost Highway. His impressive solo work is a dynamic blend of film noir atmosphere, classic compositions, and industrial rock, with each release pushing the boundaries of genre and sound.
The upcoming tour promises to showcase Adamson’s unparalleled ability to fuse cinematic intensity with experimental music, offering Australian audiences a rare opportunity to experience the depth and innovation that have made him a truly unique figure in modern music.
Of his return to Australia, Barry says; “I’m over the moon about heading back to God’s Country next year. It’s been too long away from my Aussie brothers and sisters!” “Can’t wait to bring my new album down under. It’s gonna be such a great time so come one come all to the shows!”
Joining Barry Adamson for the Corner and Factory shows will be the beloved Melbourne post-punk legends The Wreckery, featuring fellow ex-Bad Seed Hugo Race and Nick Barker of the Reptiles. The band will deliver their distinctive brand of eclectic, atmospheric rock ‘n’ roll, offering a uniquely Australian sound to complement Adamson’s performance.
