Mihic credits her family as her greatest source of inspiration, describing the rare freedom they’ve given her to explore whatever musical direction feels right at any given time. When it comes to musical heroes, Mihic singles out Jeff Buckley as her favourite. She is deeply moved by the honesty and purity of his songwriting, as well as the emotional vulnerability that defines his work. His seminal album Grace continues to captivate her, with Mihic admitting she falls in love with different songs each time she listens. She describes the performance as almost “rude” in how perfectly it matched the studio recordings, praising both their musicianship and their warmth toward the audience. The night left such an impression that she even walked away with whiplash from headbanging, an anecdote that perfectly captures the intensity of her devotion.
