CATTLETRUCK SHARE LATEST SINGLE “I Don’t Like”
Released to streaming Monday 17/08/2026
Revered 80’s Melbourne pop-rock / blues-rock band, CATTLETRUCK, share their fourth single TEAR US APART from their forthcoming album WELCOME TO OUR BLUES to be released late 2026 via Laneway Music. A very cool one from Cattletruck on the back of their recent Headline appearance at The St Kilda Blues Festival.
The band leans heavily into a Texas Blues Shuffle for this tune, with lyrics about the the good/bad stuff we used to love. A heavy shuffle groove, spare tight guitar and luscious piano work encourages the listener to get up off their asses and dance along!
“You can’t run and you can’t hide, from the Devil deep inside”
Born from the wild energy that was the St Kilda music scene in the mid 80’s, the revered Melbourne outfit launched into this maelstrom as an irreverent, semi acoustic, punkabilly outfit and quickly gained notoriety in the inner Melbourne music underbelly. They would play anywhere, anytime, invited or not – crashing parties and other band’s gigs! Their first big show was opening for Public Image Limited to a full house at the Pier Hotel, armed only with 2 acoustic guitars and a drummer they’d never played with before! John Lydon didn’t mind at all. They very quickly moved from being local “enfants terrible” to national touring, record deals, television, national charts, chaos, break ups and rebirths before grinding to a halt in 88.
Fast forward to 2016 and a new version of the band reformed to celebrate 30 years since the release of their first Album ‘Ready To Believe’. Songs were developed over the subsequent years with recording about to start before the Pandemic rudely interrupted things. The band resumed the moment Lockdowns were revoked.
The album, the first studio effort in 39 years marks their return with 10 original songs recorded together live in studio, with minimal overdubs, no Autotune and no A.I trickery. Unlike recording in the eighties, Co-Producer/Singer/Guitarist Paul Janovskis was keen to keep the project very organic, honest and natural in approach.
“We embraced our roots and have delivered a killer album in a blues rock style.”
Whilst the tempos have slowed, their original Blues and Roots influences shine through over the 10 original tunes which will be offered with their album ‘Welcome to Our Blues’, featuring a strong, rootsy, blues rock sound and sharp song-writing.

THE HALVES Announce Sophomore EP Opus with New Single ‘Replacement’
Melbourne/Naarm alternative outfit The Halves today announce their sophomore EP, Opus, arriving Wednesday 9 September, alongside its final preview, Replacement. Marking the beginning of the band’s most ambitious campaign to date, the six-track record expands on the explosive energy of recent singles Trackstar and Grace, revealing a broader emotional and sonic palette while cementing The Halves as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging alternative acts.
Serving as the final puzzle piece before Opus arrives, Replacement offers a striking contrast to its predecessors. Pulling back from the relentless intensity of Trackstar and the euphoric momentum of Grace, the track leans into shimmering guitars, soft harmonies and soaring melodies, creating space for one of the band’s most reflective and emotionally resonant songs to date. Rather than pushing forward at full speed, Replacement lingers in the aftermath, exploring loss, longing, and the search for something that can never truly be replaced.
The repeated refrain, “And I tried so hard to find a replacement”, becomes the emotional anchor of the track, capturing the quiet desperation that runs throughout the song while introducing a more vulnerable side of the band’s songwriting.
While Trackstar reintroduced The Halves with a heavier, more urgent sound and Grace pushed that intensity even further, Opus brings those ideas together into the band’s most cohesive body of work yet. Across six tracks, the EP explores identity, change, acceptance and emotional resilience, balancing explosive post-punk energy with moments of restraint, vulnerability and melodic ambition. Rather than abandoning the urgency that has become synonymous with the band, Opus demonstrates a group becoming increasingly confident in embracing contrast and expanding the boundaries of their sound.
Originally forming in Meanjin/Brisbane before relocating to Naarm/Melbourne, The Halves have spent the past few years steadily building momentum through national touring, acclaimed live performances and a growing national profile. Blending driving post-punk rhythms with expansive indie-rock songwriting, they’ve earned support from Triple J, ABC Rage, Spotify and Apple Music while sharing stages with Swapmeet, Full Flower Moon Band, Sex Mask, The Velvet Club, and more.
With Opus, The Halves aren’t simply continuing the momentum of their recent singles, they’re now defining the next chapter of the band. Announced alongside its final preview Replacement, the EP represents their most fully realised work to date, setting the stage for a national headline tour later this year and signalling a band entering an exciting new era.
Replacement is out August 19th.
Opus, the sophomore EP from The Halves, drops September 9th.

DENZEL CURRY & KENNETH BLUME ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM. SHARE NEW SINGLE + VIDEO ‘DIFFERENCE’ FEATURING YEBBA, ii DUE AUGUST 21ST VIA LOMA VISTA RECORDINGS
Denzel Curry and producer Kenny Beats return to announce their forthcoming new album ii, arriving on August 21st via Loma Vista Recordings.
Alongside the announcement, the duo also shares a new single and accompanying video from the project. ‘DIFFERENCE’ featuring Yebba, sets the tone as the first taste of their new chapter and the long-anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed 2020 joint project UNLOCKED. Across nine tracks, ii finds the pair of visionary artists refreshed and at their most focused, including features from JPEGMAFIA, Westside Gunn and Yebba. While the new project demonstrates the clear-eyed focus they’ve developed in their time apart, the unbridled energy of their chemistry remains present. In the years following UNLOCKED, Denzel and Kenneth have solidified themselves in veteran roles as trusted authorities and generational groundbreakers running point on the lively creative worlds around them.
Speaking on the duo’s collaborative evolution Kenneth shares, “The work Denzel and I do has never been easy, which is why it’s so rewarding. We’ve started every project on opposite sides of a coin and fought our way to the center. When I hear this album I hear the growth and the fight in equal parts.”
The follow-up to their acclaimed collaborative UNLOCKED project is the product of two artists who have both grown substantially in their careers since its release. Describing their dynamic and creative process, the duo circles a relative working romanticism not void of its own clashes. Despite longstanding friendship outside of the studio, the pair found themselves facing new challenges amidst the highs and tense moments of making the record. Both driven and strong-willed, they often disagreed, nearing the point of blows before settling back into productivity and care for each track. Their trust in one another’s greatness is tried and true, ultimately leading the push to a singular body of work that harkens back to the basics – no mixed beats, just an SP-404 beat machine and a cheap mic as tools of the trade.
Hard-fought lessons over years of experience bring a mutually fortified knowledge together in their new work and the duo’s passionate collisions have resulted in bringing the music to new heights for an instant classic record. Mutual admiration beyond any familiar caricatures of themselves helped the duo to push their pen further than ever. While sometimes boisterous yet constantly dynamic, ii marks Denzel’s most personally lyrical and cumulative songwriting thus far. As such, Curry and Blume present their latest with a refreshing honesty and thoughtfulness that’s rare to find on the surface.
Denzel is having a momentous year notably launching a new rap super group in The Scythe with their debut project Strictly 4 The Scythe, appearing as a special guest at Fred Again’s spring NYC shows, supporting Deftones on their recent EU/UK tour and heading on tour with Knocked Loose later this fall following their collaborative single ‘Hive Mind’. Along with recently dropping a collaborative album FATHERS with the collective studio quartet of Nate Smith, CARRTOONS, and Kiefer, Kenneth has also recently produced critically acclaimed albums for IDLES, Geese, Fcukers, Show Me The Body, and Rico Nasty as well as Weezer’s forthcoming self-titled album.

LOGIC1000 REVEALS NEW SINGLE “JERSEY” FEAT. JAM CITY
LISTEN HERE | VISUALISER HERE
TAKEN FROM HER SECOND STUDIO ALBUM CONFIRMATION!
OUT FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER VIA THERAPY/BECAUSE MUSIC
PRE-ORDER HERE
Following the announcement of her forthcoming second album Confirmation!, Logic1000 returns with “Jersey”, a high-energy collaboration with cult British producer Jam City. Taken from Confirmation!, which is due Friday 2 October via Therapy/Because Music, “Jersey” sees Logic1000 leaning into the maximalist side of her production. Built around a driving groove, gleaming synths and a sense of pure forward momentum, the track feels tailor-made for full volume listening.
A meeting of two producers with a shared instinct for pushing electronic music beyond its expected boundaries, “Jersey” captures the sense of freedom and confidence at the heart of Confirmation! while offering a glimpse of its more exuberant side. Speaking on the track, Logic1000 explains:
“I’m incredibly excited to be releasing this track with Jam City (!) I feel like this song is meant to be played full volume in a car, if you have access to one. When we finished the track we played it in a hire car and it blew the top off. This song also gives me the feeling I’m in a power suit in the 80s, headphones on and feeling myself. It’s uplifting and fun!”
Logic1000’s acclaimed debut album established her as an artist capable of bringing vulnerability into club music, while last year’s expansive DJ-Kicks mix hinted at an ever-widening musical world. That world comes fully into focus on Confirmation!. Where Mother documented a period of profound change in becoming a parent, Confirmation! finds Poulter standing on steadier ground. Rooted in acceptance and self-belief, it is an album about embracing every version of herself – the child she once was, the woman she has become, and the mother she is today, as Logic1000 explains: “I’ve realised that being ‘confirmed’ isn’t about arriving at a final version of yourself. It’s about feeling aligned with who you are today, while knowing you’ll continue to grow. It’s about having faith in yourself.”
Musically, Confirmation! is the fullest expression of Logic1000’s artistic identity so far. It seamlessly bridges the warm, club-ready pulse that first earned her international acclaim with the slower, more reflective sonic landscapes explored on DJ-Kicks, while folding in elements of trip-hop, big beat, ’80s synth-pop, indie songwriting and leftfield electronica. Across the album, collaborations with Christine and the Queens, Jam City, FAUZIA, yunè pinku, KUČKA and Tiffi M further expand Logic1000’s sonic world, while every influence still feels unmistakably hers. Its title draws on the sacrament of Confirmation, which for Poulter has become a deeply personal symbol, not simply of faith, but of affirmation and self-trust, a quiet statement of saying yes to every part of who she is.
Over the past five years, Logic1000 has become one of electronic music’s most distinctive voices, celebrated for productions that balance emotional intimacy with undeniable dancefloor instinct. Championed by Four Tet, Floating Points and Caribou, and following performances everywhere from Glastonbury and Coachella to Primavera and a sold-out four-night residency at London’s Phonox, Samantha Poulter has quietly built a catalogue that feels entirely her own, while also lending her singular touch to remixes for the likes of Dua Lipa, Shygirl and Don Toliver.
Her debut album Mother was featured in mixmag’s ‘Best of 2024’ and DJ Mag’s ‘Album of the Month’, was named Double J Feature Album, plus earned her a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix Future Artist slot. She’s graced the covers of NME and mixmag, and has launched her own podcast, ‘THERAPY’ with guests including Derrick Gee, Jamz Supernova, Aluna and more.

KMS Records Releases ‘Just Wanna Touch Me’ EP From Spanish House Music Artist Bonetti
Spanish House music producer, DJ, and founder of Groovy Riddim Records, Bonetti lands on the iconic KMS Records with his new EP ‘Just Wanna Touch Me’. Drawing inspiration from the timeless energy of classic House music, the release delivers a groove-driven collection designed to capture the movement, energy, and spirit of the dance floor.
‘Just Wanna Touch Me’ channels that inspiration into a release that looks to the foundations of House music while remaining firmly connected to today’s dance floors. Built around grooves, infectious energy, and a timeless club sensibility, the EP reflects Bonetti’s deep understanding of what makes House music connect.
Bonetti Comments: “With these tracks, I wanted to capture the energy of the dance floor by drawing inspiration from the timeless power of classic House music. My goal was to create a solid, groove-driven sound that feels authentic, energetic, and built to keep people moving from start to finish.”
The release arrives on the KMS Records imprint, connecting Bonetti’s contemporary House sound with one of the most seminal labels in electronic music history. Founded by Detroit pioneer Kevin Saunderson, KMS has played a defining role in the development of electronic music since its inception, with a catalogue spanning the boundaries between Detroit Techno, House and the wider underground dance music movement.
That connection makes KMS a natural home for Bonetti’s latest work. His music draws on many of the same foundations that have allowed House and Detroit’s electronic music culture to influence dance floors around the world, while his Spanish heritage and broad palette of Jackin’, Soulful, Disco, Latin and Afro House influences bring a contemporary character to the sound.
Hailing from Palma de Mallorca, Bonetti has built an international reputation as a producer and DJ, with releases on acclaimed labels including King Street Sounds, Henry Street Music, Salted Music, Guesthouse, Quantize Recordings and MoBlack Records.
Bonetti’s presence within the international House scene is reflected in six consecutive appearances among Traxsource’s Top 100 Jackin House Artists, reaching as high as #6, alongside recognition among the platform’s wider Top 100 and Deep House artists. In 2018, he was nominated for Best House Artist at the Vicious Music Awards, while his music has featured at major festivals including Tomorrowland and The BPM Festival, with support from artists including Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Bob Sinclar, Mark Knight, Miguel Migs and DJ Spen.
With ‘Just Wanna Touch Me’, Bonetti brings together classic House inspiration, contemporary production and a clear focus on the dance floor. The EP marks another step in an increasingly international career, placing his distinctive, groove-led sound within the continuing story of KMS Records and its contribution to global electronic music culture.

ALEIA Confronts Betrayal and Revenge with New Single ‘Willpower’
Boorloo/Perth artist ALEIA captures slow-burning rage and haunting tension in her gripping new single, ‘Willpower’. Emotionally turbulent and powered by a brewing darkness, the grunge-pop track is harrowingly intimate and genuinely heartbreaking, exploring the fallout of betrayal and the desire for revenge. ‘Willpower’ is set for release Thursday, July 30, alongside its accompanying music video.
Following the release of her debut EP ‘Public Humiliation’ in November of 2025, ALEIA’s newest single ‘Willpower’ provides a cutthroat, edgy touch to her already emotionally palpable artistry.
Produced by Dylan Ollivierre (The Money War, EDIE, Joan & The Giants, Siobhan Cotchin) ‘Willpower’ says the quiet part loud with politically violent undertones, gracefully articulated by ALEIA’s gut-punching lyricism.
Figuratively shrouded in red, ALEIA’s songwriting within ‘Willpower’ seethes with a boiling yet cool and calculated rage. Overcast by a lulling synth, sparse overdriven guitar, a marching snare cadence and an undercurrent of glowering piano, the track pushes and pulls with a gradual crescendo. Building alongside ALEIA’s shifting vocal rhythms and intimate delivery, ‘Willpower’ unfolds into a slow-burning alternative indie rock release that is as haunting as it is cathartic.
‘Willpower’ brings forth the harsh and callous parts of emotional complexity that lie deep within our humanity – notably embodying the feelings of distrust and revenge. A self-described overthinker, ALEIA states:
“’Willpower’ is a song that explores the chaotic emotional turbulence you experience after someone has betrayed your trust and the extreme lengths someone will go to get even.”
The accompanying music video, directed and produced by Stephanie Senior at Clearwater Films, is heavily rooted in the folklore surrounding the ‘Woman In White’ – a spiritual being that represents the realities of not being able to let go.
The music video, which is set by the side of the road, opens to a muffled encounter with a couple in a car, in which ALEIA’s character is subsequently abandoned. Following this, ALEIA slowly transforms into the embodiment of ‘The Woman In White’, with striking allusions to the Pilliga Highway Princess, as she [ALEIA] haunts the site and surrounds of the couple’s argument, a poetic insinuation of her perpetual attachment to the event.
Taking place initially at dusk, the video falls into night where director Stephanie Senior manipulates lighting and contrast effects to capture an ethereal and atmospheric poignancy, further encapsulating the theme of haunting and resentment through the song and music video’s throughline.
Exploring the fragile intersection between self-worth, betrayal and revenge, ‘Willpower’ is as devastating as it is liberating. ‘Willpower’ out now, alongside its accompanying music video.

NATHAN COUTTS Scores Life’s Smallest Moments on Debut Album ‘The Ordinary Instant’
As the director shouts, “Action,” and the lights fade to black, Nathan Coutts’ debut album ‘The Ordinary Instant’ begins like the opening scene of a film. Across 10 tracks, the Melbourne/Naarm artist challenges the album’s title with a collection of complex, slow-burning moments. Blending alternative folk, soul and R&B into a moody series of confessionals, ‘The Ordinary Instant’, out Friday, July 31, tells the story of two lovers and their paths, pays homage to a car, and bares Coutts’ soul to the world.
Singer-songwriter, producer, engineer and guitarist Nathan Coutts showcases the full breadth of his artistry on his debut album. Coming off the back of his three album-associate single releases, ‘The Ordinary Instant’ deepens Coutts’ innate ability to sculpt a deep and connective world within minimal and raw production value, adding a timelessness to his work.
‘The Ordinary Instant’ is an album born of the emotional brevity of Nathan Coutts’ romantic experiences following a cross-country road trip through the US, and explores the all-consuming weight of honesty and contemplation. A cinematically constructed look into the complex lives of others, ‘The Ordinary Instant’ is 10 emotionally fragmented songs stitched together by a dissonant throughline of vices and emotional virtues.
Taking place in Broadway, Nashville, Coutts’ first single and album opener ‘Outside Your Window’ sets the tone for ‘The Ordinary Instant’ with blissful guitar tones and romantic allusions, painting a picture of the two lovers which the story unfolds around. Opposingly, ‘Outside Your Window’ rolls into ‘Movie Star’, the track that introduces the album’s moody quality, and showcases the ever-present tension throughout ‘The Ordinary Instant’ whilst reinforcing the album’s vintage production quality.
Stylised by harmonious vocals and sultry soul beats, Coutts’ experience in R&B/soul shines through in ‘vices’, a track battling with the concept of the self and what remains of you after things fall apart. As the album settles into its extensive storytelling sensibilities, Coutts sings to ‘Winnie’, a song that Coutts states is “an ode to the car that carried them through miles and miles.” Reintroducing the album’s moments of R&B, ‘Winnie’ offers a lighter, brighter tonality to the album whilst keeping strong to the album’s emotional and ponderous throughline.
As the album unfolds into diary entries from the faintest of hearts, ‘Goodbye July’ gears minute emo qualities, starting as a low-fi and gravelly raw guitar and vocal recording, slowly falling into a piece of spoken word poetry that nods to moments within the album past and impending, further amplifying Coutts’ poetic notions.
‘The Ordinary Instant’s honesty peaks in ‘On The Mountain’, a track that is “nature’s ask of the narrator: to hold still,” states Coutts. Sincerely candid in capturing the album’s encompassing themes through acoustic guitar hums and the soft lulls of the piano, ‘On The Mountain’ is truly resonant of Nathan Coutts thoughts and feelings and can be seen as the album’s thematic peak.
Cinematic yet humble, ‘The Ordinary Instant’ is structured on honesty and vulnerability. Told through the lens of change and self-discovery, the result of Nathan Coutts’ work is an album that is both inviting and solemn and allows for a reflective and invigorating listening experience.
‘The Ordinary Instant’ is out Friday, July 31.

ANGUS & JULIA STONE RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘CELESTIAL BODIES’ AHEAD OF FORTHCOMING ALBUM KARAOKE BAR
BUY/STREAM HERE
LP PRE-SAVE LINK
As anticipation builds for their forthcoming album Karaoke Bar, Angus & Julia Stone share ‘Celestial Bodies’, the third single from their seventh studio album, arriving September 4 via Virgin Music.
Following the release of ‘Karaoke Bar’ and ‘Monroe’, ‘Celestial Bodies’ ventures into more expansive territory, pairing hypnotic rhythms with dreamlike lyricism as Angus & Julia Stone contemplate life’s unknowable questions. Built around a pulsing groove and their unmistakable vocal interplay, the track explores the search for meaning amid the beauty and chaos of existence.
‘Celestial Bodies’ also traces one of the longest creative journeys of any song on Karaoke Bar. It first took shape on the Greek island of Hydra, during an evening when Saharan sands drifted across the Mediterranean and turned the sky a striking shade of red. From there, the song evolved at the legendary Miraval Studios in the south of France before finally finding its home back in Australia at Angus’s Sugarcane Mountain Studio in the hinterland of New South Wales. There, alongside close collaborators, the duo completed a song driven by an underlying pulse beneath lyrical reflections on “what the hell this life is all about.”
Angus speaks of the song, “lyrically it’s an amalgamation, a bit of melting pot for everything we’re going through in life as a collective. Celestial Bodies itself, the words, that’s what we are in essence, we’re all stardust. We’re all atoms bouncing around trying to figure who we belong with, the meaning of it all.”
Written and recorded across Greece, France and Australia, Karaoke Bar captures a collection of songs shaped by movement, instinct and place. Each environment left its own imprint on the record, resulting in an album that feels both deeply personal and quietly expansive – balancing moments of intimacy with broader reflections on connection, memory and the passage of time.
Since emerging with A Book Like This in 2007, Angus & Julia Stone have established themselves as one of Australia’s most internationally beloved musical exports. Their 2010 breakthrough Down the Way debuted at number one in Australia and introduced the timeless ‘Big Jet Plane’, while subsequent releases – including collaborations with Rick Rubin and their ARIA Award-winning soundtrack work on Life Is Strange – have continued to showcase their evolving artistry and enduring creative partnership.
Their most recent album Cape Forestier (2024) marked a return to recording on home soil, before taking the duo across Europe, the UK and North America on a sold-out world tour that included London’s Royal Albert Hall, Paris’ L’Olympia and New York’s Town Hall.
With ‘Celestial Bodies’, Angus & Julia Stone continue to reveal the emotional and sonic landscape of Karaoke Bar – an album that embraces life’s unanswered questions as much as its moments of quiet certainty. Karaoke Bar arrives September 4.

CRASHING WAYWARD SET TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘BRASS COFFIN’
Crashing Wayward paint a bleak and desperate picture of modern life on their latest upcoming single ‘Brass Coffin.’ With barbed-wire guitars, pushed-to-the-brink vocals, and gripping lyrics like “I’m feeling I’m nothing/Life’s living in a brass coffin,” the modern rock band deliver a powerful state-of-the-world message. Releasing on August 21 via Golden Robot Records, the song is the closing track on the Las Vegas band’s upcoming six-song EP The Fight Within, out September 18. It marks the follow-up to their 2023 debut album Listen!
“I wanted to capture a sense of a ‘Dystopian Iron Curtain’ while trying to write objectively for the listener as everyone has a different story to tell,” says lead singer Peter Summit, who penned the song with the band’s lead guitarist David Harris. “I really wanted to portray the urgency and deprivation so many feel right now. Especially with today’s large divide between political and class structures, social and racial unrest, unfortunately there is still a lot to say and a lot of progress to be made.”
With its adventurous tapestry of guitar sounds, Harris says that “Brass Coffin” possesses “a lot of the things I naturally gravitate toward as a player: alternate tunings, slide guitar, and interesting rhythmic ideas. I like finding ways to make the guitar feel unpredictable without losing the song underneath it. That combination of aggression, groove, and experimentation is really what drives the track.”
Watch the music video for previous single ‘Going Blind’ HERE
The Fight Within is an electrifying and introspective release that showcases Crashing Wayward – Peter Summit (lead vocals), David Harris (lead guitar), Carl Raether (bass), Tucker Jones (guitar), and Jon Gunder (drums) – at their most confident and compelling. It will also include the band’s previous singles ‘Holding For Dear Life,’ ‘Bullet For A Heart’ and ‘Going Blind.’
‘Holding For Dear Life’ was hailed by the UK’s Classic Rock magazine as a “tight, groovy beefcake of a song” that “manages to be fiery, introspective and energizing at once–the sort of brooding intensity you can dance to” (March 16, 2026). The song was picked by readers as “Track of the Week.”
The band followed this up with ‘Bullet For A Heart,’ a track bursting with raging guitars, razor-sharp vocals, and an unflinching worldview that rails against hate and violence. ‘Going Blind’ zeroes in on someone who’s cornered by their own desperation, propelled by the band’s signature mix of Summit’s theatrical vocals, Harris’ hypnotic, angular guitar lines, and gale-force rhythms.
‘Brass Coffin’ is offiically available for pre-save now, releasing August 21 on all major platforms via Golden Robot Records.

ABOUT CRASHING WAYWARD
Crashing Wayward came together in 2020 with a shared urgency to create something real. Comprised of members Peter Summit (vocals), David Harris (Guitar), Carl Raether (Bass), Tucker Jones (Guitar) and Jon Gunder (Drums), their debut album, ‘LISTEN!’, blends modern rock with sharp song writing and a punch of emotion, capturing the tension and release of a world in lockdown. The lead single ‘Breathe’ picked up traction fast, landing on major playlists and modern rock radio across the U.S. and Canada. Produced by Mike Gillies (Metallica, The Cult), the album introduced a band with something to say, and the sound to back it up.
Recently in the studio with producer Shawn McGhee (Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Strung Out, Dark Chapel), Crashing Wayward is sharpening their sound with a heavier, more direct edge. They’re touring nationally, releasing new music consistently, and gearing up for a high-profile first tour of 2026. Backed by a live show that hits with both intensity and connection, the band is building something bigger, loud, raw, and fully in tune with a new wave of modern rock fans.

It’s for those times when you reminisce whilst making new memories. Party on friends.”
The official visualiser for ‘Too Long Between Drinks’ captures Brooke and Adam performing the song live at their recent tour, rapidly becoming a live favourite.
The duo’s upcoming album ‘Souls On Show’ is their most honest and complete collection of songs yet – it is the next chapter; it dives deeper and celebrates harder. Born from community, connection and celebration, it showcases real emotion, honesty and performance in an era obsessed with polishing every human edge away in AI-driven plastic perfection. The songs come from a range of sources – old ideas, new inspirations, and the mind of a five-year-old – but the finished products are rooted firmly in the here and now.
Speaking about the new album Brooke and Adam share, ”our album Souls On Show was written while we either took the position of casual observers, watching from the grandstand or vulnerable self evaluators standing in front of a mirror, in both we tried to make sense of and celebrate the craziness, joy and confusion of life. We recorded live with our touring band, in the studio together, no AI, no bullshit, just music.”
Brooke and Adam will be taking the new album on the road on their ‘Souls On Show’ Australian East-Coast Tour kicking off in November with their full live band. ”We can’t wait to take these new songs on the road. We’re super proud of this album and hope people come along to a show and enjoy the songs as much as we do”.
Before then fans can catch the duo performing at the Gympie Music Muster this month and Savannah In The Round and Coffs Harbour Country Music Festival in October.

LED BY VULTURES RELEASES LATEST SINGLE ”WAVES’’. FULL-LENGTH DEBUT ALBUM TO ARRIVE AUGUST 28TH THROUGH DEKO ENTERTAINMENT
Renowned drummer, vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Brian Tichy is stepping into the spotlight with his latest musical venture, Led By Vultures, an explosive new band blending raw intensity, arena-sized hooks, uncompromising musicianship, and a fresh vision for modern hard rock.
Known for his powerhouse performances alongside some of rock’s most legendary artists, Tichy now takes center stage as the driving creative force and frontman behind Led By Vultures. The project marks a bold evolution in his career, fusing crushing riffs, thunderous rhythms, melodic aggression, and emotionally charged songwriting into a sound that is both timeless and urgent.
Drawing inspiration from the spirit of classic hard rock while pushing into fresh sonic territory, Led By Vultures delivers music built on unapologetic energy, powerful storytelling, and the electrifying chemistry that comes from decades of experience at the highest levels of rock performance.
The band’s latest single, “Waves,” showcases a more melodic and reflective side of Tichy’s songwriting. As he states, “Waves” is a song I’ve had for a long time. It’s a metaphorical idea about trying to find contentment as we travel through life. I had this “Floydian / Zeppish” chord progression I was messing with on an acoustic guitar tuned to open C. My bud Derek Sherinian who co-wrote and played keyboards on it, heard me messing with it, dug it, and said, “that needs The Pipes of Pan!” He immediately came up with the first flute lines. I answered that with the arpeggiated guitar line and a rotary effect. From there we knew the chorus should get big and anthemic.”
Watch the music video for “Waves” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdYVOqSVn1k
Tichy continues, “We wrote the bridge for the guitar solo with the intent of taking you on a little majestic trip, away from the repetitive, hypnotic nature of the rest of the song. When I started making the Led By Vultures record, Derek brought Waves up as a contender. I instantly agreed and re-recorded it. It’s nice to have seen this song through! The video was shot at El Matador Beach in Malibu by Keita Hagiwara, who also shot the second Led By Vultures video, “Massivity.” We ended up with an overcast day but I think in the end it worked out.”
Watch the story behind the song here: https://youtube.com/shorts/3_aaVqOLDo8?si=7bAoQjjPVhEwh_Cg
The self-titled debut album from Led By Vultures arrives on August 28, 2026, delivering a dynamic collection of songs that capture the grit and fire of rock’s golden era while maintaining a distinctly modern edge. Fans can expect soaring vocals, blistering musicianship, and a relentless sonic attack designed to resonate with both longtime rock devotees and a new generation of listeners.
The album will be available on Limited Edition Purple Vinyl, CD, and digital formats. A special bundle featuring a personally signed 10″ x 10″ album flat by Brian Tichy will also be available in limited quantities.

STRAY KIDS RELEASE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM, THIS & THAT
Includes the Pre-Release Single ‘RUN IT’ and New Title Track ‘This & That’
WATCH THE ‘This & That’ MUSIC VIDEO
Album out now via JYP Entertainment / REPUBLIC Collective
Global phenomenon Stray Kids have released their highly anticipated new album, THIS & THAT, available now via JYP Entertainment / REPUBLIC Collective.
Capturing a more liberated and relaxed energy through the group’s unmistakable creative perspective, THIS & THAT finds Stray Kids continuing to expand their musical universe without compromising the fearless individuality at the heart of their artistry. The album’s lyrics and music were created by 3RACHA, Stray Kids’ in-house producing unit comprising Bang Chan, Changbin and HAN, whose innovative ideas and boundary-pushing production have helped establish the group’s signature sound.
At the center of the album is its title track, ‘This & That’ a hip-hop-based song that amplifies Stray Kids’ signature chill and confident atmosphere. Driven by a laid-back yet addictive melody, the track’s lyrics move freely between endless possibilities, reflecting the eight members’ unwavering pride and confidence in their ability to take on anything they choose, entirely on their own terms.
Across eight tracks, THIS & THAT explores the full spectrum of life’s emotions, from the burning passion of charging fearlessly toward the world to experiences of love, separation and cherished memories. The album delivers a wide-ranging collection of songs designed to resonate with listeners while offering comfort, strength and release.
The project opens with the pre-release single ‘RUN IT’ an anthemic track that combines majestic brass sounds with driving world-beat rhythms. Released earlier this Summer, ‘RUN IT’ topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 43 regions, including the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Spain and the United Kingdom. The album trailer, unveiled on July 8, also reached #1 on YouTube’s Worldwide Music Video Trending chart for three consecutive days.
Elsewhere, ‘After You’ channels the rush of falling in love at first sight through progressive house production, while the witty hip-hop track ‘FARMING’ reimagines the gaming concept of farming through Stray Kids’ singular perspective. ‘I Do’ pairs refreshing rock energy with a memorable hook, ‘Way Out’ uses acoustic hip-hop textures to portray the quiet emotions of parting ways, and the band-driven ‘Back Then’ evokes the warmth and nostalgia of a late-summer memory. Closing track ‘This & That (Festival Version)’ transforms the title track into a vibrant, high-energy festival showcase.
The release arrives as Stray Kids continue an extraordinary global run. From ODDINARY in 2022 through SKZ IT TAPE DO IT in 2025, the group earned eight consecutive No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200, becoming the first act in the chart’s history to achieve the milestone.
Following the completion of the record-breaking Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE>, which spanned 56 shows across 35 regions worldwide, Stray Kids launched their new Stray Kids World Tour <RUN IT> with five sold-out performances at Seoul’s KSPO DOME. The group will continue its global expansion on August 29 and 30, when it becomes the first international male artist to stage a solo concert at Tokyo’s National Stadium.
Stray Kids also recently delivered a commanding headline performance before approximately 45,000 fans at New York’s Governors Ball Music Festival. Their global festival run will continue in September with a headline appearance at Brazil’s Rock in Rio, followed by STRAYCITY, a new festival series centered around the group, in Bogotá, Buenos Aires and Mexico City.

HOLLY THROSBY DELIVERS NEW SINGLE ‘TELL ME I’M DONE’
ANNOUNCES EAST COAST TOUR
NEW RECORD NORMAL MAGIC OUT 4 SEPTEMBER
Following ‘Gallery’ and ‘Hold Please’ feat. Laura Jean, today Holly Throsby releases her newest single, ‘Tell Me I’m Done’. She also announces an East Coast tour for her sixth studio album, Normal Magic (due 4 September).
Of the single Holly says; “Sonically, this song feels like the heart of the album. Nylon string guitar, bass, programmed drums, synth, flutes – I love the marriage of sounds. And the sentiment is very true for this time in my life: that feeling of creative obsession that is exciting and utterly exhausting; wanting people to be kind; not knowing how to work anything, but trying anyway; wanting to take care of people, but also really just wanting someone to take care of me.”
Normal Magic marks a new direction for Throsby: a self-produced ten-song record, synth-heavy, with programmed beats, electric guitars, saxophone, and banjo. This is a far more electronic and mesmeric sound, but the songs remain finely crafted: lyrically ambitious; playful and hypnotic.
Throsby sought out a new group of collaborators for this album, including multi-instrumentalist Jordan Ireland (The Middle East), Helen Franzmann (Mess Esque, McKisko), Laura Jean, Oliver Mestitz (The Finks) and Jake Core (Soda Eaves). Recordings were made in various homes, with the bulk engineered at Stranded Studios in Bellambi (Babitha, Body Type). The record was mixed in Provence, France, by Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, The Drones, Julia Jacklin).
Of Normal Magic, Holly says: “The concept for this record stemmed from a conversation about what is normal and what is magic. Art making, for example, is quite magical and quite normal at the same time, and the concept expanded as the songs were written to be a kind of a celebration of the magic of normal life – little moments of beauty and wonder which can be so sustaining. A sunbeam or a bird or a moment of synchrony.”
Nine years have passed since the release of Throsby’s last album After A Time. Since then, she has released two novels (Cedar Valley and Clarke) and spent many seasons on the South Coast, developing a new sonic palette for her upcoming album. Normal Magic is the result, coming on vinyl, CD and digital on 4 September via Hobbledehoy Records.
Holly Throsby is one of Australia’s most beloved and enduring songwriters. Her debut album arrived in the 2004, establishing her as a singular folk voice with a remarkable gift for lyrical detail. Four acclaimed solo albums followed, an album of original children’s songs, and her work as one third of the band, Seeker Lover Keeper. Together, Holly Throsby and Seeker Lover Keeper have amassed over 70 million combined streams. Holly has been nominated for five ARIAs – including two for Best Female Artist. She is also an acclaimed novelist, with three books published by Allen & Unwin selling over 40,000 copies, and a fourth expected in 2027.

IAN MUNSICK RELEASES “PALOMINO EYES” 4TH STUDIO ALBUM, THE MOUNTAIN GOAT, ARRIVES AUGUST 21
Celebrated by The Tennessean as “Western music royalty” and applauded by The New Yorker for putting “the Western back in country”, Wyoming native Ian Munsick continues to intertwine those Western themes he’s known for into his latest release, ‘Palomino Eyes’, available now. Listen HERE.
Written by Munsick and Phil O’Donnell, ‘Palomino Eyes’ places a cowboy’s lens onto rose-colored glasses, emphasizing the beauty of how the world is seen through a partner’s eyes.
I see a back row sinner, she sees a saint
Ain’t one for pointing fingers
But any good I’ve done
that girl’s to blame
For all the tame
or settle down in my wild side
She always sees this cowboy riding high
In her palomino eyes
“Nine times out of ten a song title hits me days, weeks, months or even years before I actually sit down to write it. It’s extremely rare that an idea is born and I have the time and creative juice to write it from start to finish”, Munsick explains. “But when I was driving through the farmland of Tennessee on my way to write with one of my favorite songwriters, Phil O’Donnell, I saw a beautiful Palomino hanging by the fence with enamoring blue eyes. I thought to myself, ‘I have one of those waiting for me at home… Caroline’”.
He continues, “We wrote ‘Palomino Eyes’ in a few hours, unsure which part was the chorus and which part was the verse. That’s probably one of the reasons why it’s my personal favorite song on the album. It doesn’t follow a formula. It’s free and untamed, just like that Palomino and my beautiful wife”.
‘Palomino Eyes’ is the latest release off Munsick’s upcoming studio album, The Mountain Goat. Spanning 15 tracks, The Mountain Goat is Munsick’s first independent release via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS in partnership with Triple Tigers Records, and was produced by Munsick, Jeremy Spillman and Mike Robinson. Pre-save HERE.
Additionally, five D2C fan packs are available to pre-order on his online store, including an exclusive autographed zoetrope vinyl. Pre-order HERE.
Along with co-producing the album, Munsick also played an extensive role in the instrumentation heard on the record. In total, Munsick is credited with playing nine different instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki and kazoo, as well as lending background vocals and programming.
Munsick promises to deliver fans a memorable tour of the west with a series of shows during album release week, as well as the launch of his Schaefer Outfitter clothing line on August 18. As part of “The Road to The Mountain Goat,” Munsick’s official album release show will be held at Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater in Park City, Utah on August 22 as part of the Deer Valley Concert Series.
Founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Schaefer Outfitter has spent four decades providing western wear to working cowboys and ranchers. Their collection with Munsick will include custom pearl snap shirts, outerwear, hats and graphic tees designed collaboratively between Munsick and the Schaefer team. Fans can enter to win a signed piece of the collection HERE.
Munsick is also partnering with The Landmark Hotel & Casino to open the Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill in Deadwood, S.D on September 18. Built between 1894-1920, The Landmark is Deadwood’s largest historic structure at approximately 35,000 square feet. The Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill will reside within over 2,600 square feet of the footprint. The venue will promote and celebrate country and western music with old school country bar decor, along with two performance stages, one indoors and one outdoors.

ABOUT IAN MUNSICK:
As one of modern country’s few Rocky Mountain artists – and the only one to merge its timeless traditions with an electrifying roots-pop edge – Wyoming native Ian Munsick lives in the wild places few singer-songwriters go. Yet with his fourth album, The Mountain Goat, he climbs farther out on his creative ledge than ever. Marking his first independent album on WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records, Munsick remains as sure footed as his project’s fearless namesake, thriving in the isolation of a Western-flavored modern country frontier. Racking up over one billion career streams with previous albums Coyote Cry, White Buffalo, and Eagle Feather, Munsick has produced one RIAA-Platinum duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson) – No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown – plus two Gold-certified hits: “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Spotify, CMT, and the Grand Ole Opry were among those to recognize Munsick’s vision, and concertgoers across the globe have found a Western authenticity that can’t be faked. Munsick made history in 2025, becoming the first Wyoming-born artist to headline Cheyenne Frontier Days – the iconic rodeo known as the “Daddy of ‘Em All” – and with The Mountain Goat, his quest to bring Western mystique to modern fans continues. Fusing genuine tradition with cutting-edge sonics, 15 tracks feature an “earthy” new organic undercurrent, with the multi-instrumental master more connected to his acoustic roots – and more protective of his territory.

‘WE WERE ONLY YOUNG’ FINAL STUDIO ALBUM OUT OCTOBER 2ND VIA CONCORD PRE-ORDER HERE
CURRENTLY TOURING WORLDWIDE WITH FAREWELL SHOWS
Beloved Irish band Kodaline have released their brand new single ‘Back To Me’, the latest song to be taken from their fifth and final album We Were Only Young out October 2nd via Concord.
The emotional new single ‘Back To Me’ has been written in support for those in their darkest hours. It opens with frontman Steve Garrigan’s pared-back vocals and tender piano notes that fall like autumn leaves: “I should have called, I should have asked, I should have said that I was there,” he sings. “I would have stayed, I would have made more time if I only knew.”
The lyrics are steeped in sorrow, and that sharp sting of fear at the possibility that it could be too late. But as the song builds, with swoons of strings and layered harmonies, Garrigan’s own voice grows stronger, urging: “You’ve got a whole lot of life left/ So don’t give up quite yet, come back to me.”
Regarding the single Steve says, “‘Back to Me’ is about being there for someone who’s given up on themselves. I’ve been there before, on both sides. I hope this song inspires people to keep going and reminds them that they’re never truly alone.”
The new album We Were Only Young is a contemplative and hugely moving body of work that explores pertinent themes of growth, connection, love and closure, as they look towards a bright and hopeful future.
We Were Only Young weaves a tapestry between beautiful ballads, from the soft and soaring acoustics of ‘All I Ever Need Is You’, to the piano and gospel-laced ‘Learn To Lose’. While the tender songs are joined by huge such pop anthems, such as the bright ‘It’s Not Over’, and the propulsive harmony driven ‘Get Me High’. A jubilant folk bounce rings out through ‘Vultures’, complimenting the haunting cavernous sounds that mark the beginning and end to the record, which launches with the bold and brooding ‘Who Will Save You Now’ and closes with the uplifting yet solemn ‘The One For Me’.
The latest single ‘Back To Me’ follows previously released singles further demonstrating the breadth and heartfelt songwriting of the record. These include ‘Without You’, written by Steve for his wife on their wedding day, while the title track is a bittersweet reflection on better times, understanding that they can’t be revisited. It is steeped with fond nostalgia, focused on laying demons to rest, while delivering an important and timely message of gratitude.
Kodaline have been treating fans to songs from the new album live on their extensive Farewell World Tour this year. The shows are huge celebrations with sets spanning the breadth of their cherished chart-topping, multi-platinum and multi-billion streamed catalogue.
The band kicked things off with massive outdoor shows in Ireland, performing to 50,000 fans at major outdoor shows. Kodaline are currently touring throughout Asia, followed by Australia, Europe and the UK. The shows are widely sold out including the entirety of their UK leg in December. Singing Our Futures & Bad Apples Present: BREANNA LEE ‘Can We Just Talk’
The Singing Our Futures program proudly announces the release of Breanna Lee’s new single ‘Can We Just Talk’ distributed via Bad Apples Music.
Breanna Lee, is a young Wemba Wemba artist from Melbourne Victoria. In 2026, Breanna Lee was selected for Singing Our Futures, the acclaimed First Nations artist development program created by the Archie Roach Foundation.
Lee prides herself on her Aboriginal heritage, as well as her emotional and cultural performances. Breanna can range from singing in language, to soulful ballads, allowing herself to be vulnerable every time she is on stage.
Turning the clock back to 2022, Breanna Lee was already making waves when she won Australia’s Got Talent “Golden Buzzer” award, setting the stage to create her own material.
Working alongside mentor Kee’ahn, ‘Can We Just Talk’ was developed through the Singing Our Futures program, a place that Lee has discussed supporting her voice, and brought this song to life.
Breanna speaks of the experience – “I was incredibly honoured to have the opportunity to work alongside the amazing Kee’ahn, I’ve always looked up to them for their incredible talent and ability to create such powerful and meaningful music. She helped me transform my life experiences into a song that truly reflects my journey, and I’m so grateful for their guidance, creativity and support throughout the process.
Growing up, I always struggled to maintain a connection with my biological parents. That became even harder in the early years of high school, when I was suddenly treated differently by my friendship group. I felt isolated, excluded, and incredibly alone while trying to stay focused on my education….slowly I started to find myself.
This song is about that journey from hurt and loneliness to healing, self-acceptance and hope.
The single was recorded at Candy Suite and Aviary Recording Studios, co-produced by Candice Lorrae and Stephen Mowat. Mastered by Paul Blakey.
The Singing Our Futures program was established by the Archie Roach Foundation in collaboration with Culture is Life. It has evolved from the rich legacy left behind by Uncle Archie Roach, a legacy centered around the art of storytelling and truth-telling through music, as well as his dedication to nurturing and creating significant opportunities for emerging First Nations artists.

VALHALORE Unveil Dreamlike Acoustic Reimagining of Breakout Single ‘Horizon’
“Horizon” marked more than just a new single for VALHALORE. As the band’s first new music since 2019, it signalled the beginning of a new chapter – one that led to release of Beyond The Stars through a record deal with Reigning Phoenix Music / ROAR, national and international touring and a growing presence on the global metal stage.
Now, the band returns to the song that started it all, reimagining it in an intimate acoustic form that reveals the heart of the music in a completely new light. Trading towering riffs, epic orchestras and thunderous drums for warm acoustic instrumentation, sweeping melodies and an intimate atmosphere, “Horizon – Acoustic” reveals the emotional heart of one of VALHALORE’s most beloved songs. More than a stripped-back version, it is a complete reimagining that allows the story, melody and emotion of the track to unfold in an entirely new light.
The result is a dreamlike interpretation that shines a spotlight on the song’s message of hope, reflection and appreciating life’s fleeting moments, while retaining the uplifting spirit that first connected with listeners around the world.
Speaking about the release, the band share: “Since its conception, Horizon has always been a very special song for us. It’s a song about a hopeful future, the beauty found in life’s simplest moments, and appreciating what we have before it fades. Reimagining this track in a way that lets its beauty breathe, while allowing the lyrics to shine – almost like a lullaby – felt like a natural step. We’re incredibly proud of this new rendition and can’t wait to share it with the world.”
For longtime fans, the acoustic rendition offers a fresh perspective on a song that marked a defining chapter in VALHALORE’s story. BIG NOTER RELEASE NEW SINGLE “BIG NOTER” FEATURING JOE TALBOT (IDLES)
Debut Album Songs In The Key Of Wrestling out September 18
Headline Tour Kicks Off Next Week!
BIG NOTER have unleashed their next single, “BIG NOTER” featuring Joe Talbot (IDLES), the latest cut lifted from their debut album, Songs In The Key Of Wrestling, out September 18 via Island Records Australia.
LISTEN TO BIG NOTER (FEAT. JOE TALBOT) HERE
“BIG NOTER” serves as a biting, sarcastic takedown of inflated egos and posturing, powered by explosive guitars, dirty low-end groove and a ferocious guest appearance from IDLES frontman Joe Talbot.
On “BIG NOTER”, Briggs says: “This self-titled song paints the picture of the ultimate punish of an individual. It’s the neighbourhood bully’s anthem. It’s completely satirical; it bears no resemblance to any person you, Joe or I know.”
LISTEN: BIG NOTER – “BIG NOTER (FEAT. JOE TALBOT)”
Fronted by Yorta Yorta icon Briggs, BIG NOTER is the sound of frustration given volume. Fusing hardcore, punk and metal with the same directness and conviction that made Briggs one of Australia’s most respected voices, the band has quickly established itself as one of the country’s most vital new heavy acts.
Songs In The Key Of Wrestling is a debut album that arrives with purpose. Confronting uncomfortable truths head-on around First Nations identity, mental health, racism, genocide and incarceration, the album was produced by Nick Didia (Rage Against The Machine/Pearl Jam) and features a host of legendary guests, including Chuck D, Tom Morello and Joe Talbot (IDLES).
With Songs In The Key Of Wrestling landing on September 18, BIG NOTER will hit the road for three headline shows, kicking off in Brisbane and Sydney next week, plus a Melbourne show at The Tote on September 19.

MUSIC IN EXILE ANNOUNCE DOUBLE HEADLINE SHOWS
RAINBOW CHAN (陳雋然) & SHEWITA
HITTING SYDNEY & MELBOURNE THIS SEPTEMBER
Not-for-profit record label Music in Exile announces a very special double-header, bringing together Hong Kong-Australian artist Rainbow Chan and soul/R&B Eritrean-Australian artist Shewita, for a pair of shows in Sydney/Eora and Melbourne/Naarm this September.
These two Music in Exile artists will first take over The Vanguard in Sydney/Eora on Saturday 6 September, before heading south to Melbourne/Naarm’s Miscellania on Saturday 12 September. The shows will be a joint celebration of new bodies of work from both Rainbow Chan and Shewita, marking one of the first chances to experience these intricate collections performed live.
Rainbow Chan will bring her third studio album, The Bridal Lament to these stages. Arriving on Friday 14 August, the forthcoming record is the next evolution of a major new chapter in her artistry. First developed as a solo theatrical work presented at Liveworks Festival, OzAsia, Arts House and Riverside Theatres with Sydney Festival, The Bridal Lament draws on Chan’s Weitou ancestry (the first settlers of Hong Kong) and reimagines a historic pre-marital ritual, known as the ‘bridal lament’, in which brides publicly wept and sang before leaving their families. In her hands, these songs of grief and resilience weaved the basis for a striking body of work connecting ancestral ritual with contemporary pop, performance and storytelling.
For Shewita, these shows come off her sultry debut EP Canvas, an introduction that refuses to be boxed in. Across six tracks, Shewita moves fluidly through an array of genres – held together not by a singular sound, but by the commanding force of her voice. Rich, stacked vocal arrangements and maximalist harmonies run through every track, anchoring a production palette that shifts from warm and funk-inflected to chrome-cool pop and R&B club-ready without ever losing its footing.
A not-for-profit record label and registered charity supporting musicians with lived experience of migration or displacement, Music In Exile is proud to continue ongoing support for artists through album releases, performance opportunities and more recently, through the participation in their flagship Artist Accelerator Program, a music incubator that supports musicians in the development of their own creative and professional practice, provides a platform for their work, fosters community collaboration and grows industry connections.
A show like no other, this double-header will give audiences the chance to see two formidable artists in their own right perform their latest acclaimed, complex sounds for the first time. Tickets are on sale now see below.

BLANK INSTRUMENT Finds Herself Waiting in the Blue with New Single ‘Green and Blue’
Blank Instrument, the pen name for Boorloo/Perth-based singer-songwriter Kim Franklin, announces her second single of 2026, ’Green and Blue’, out now. Following the June release of the single ‘Brand New’, ‘Green and Blue’ is the second single from her upcoming debut album, ‘Jumping at Ghosts’, due later this year.
‘Green and Blue’ continues to expand the world within ‘Jumping at Ghosts’, acknowledging her late friend Julie while finding solace in recognising the need for emotional respite. The piano-fronted ballad encompasses the feeling of escape, both physical and emotional, with the song’s warm, lulling tones that encourage reflection and emotional openness.
‘Jumping at Ghosts’ is the product of Franklin’s emotional vulnerability and Julie’s immense generosity prior to her passing in 2023. Julie and Kim Franklin, long-time friends, brought together by work and sewn together by their mutual love of music, storytelling, and conversation, remained close after moving on to different careers, emphasising the connection between the two women. Prior to her passing, Julie bestowed a gift to Franklin, leaving her some money so Franklin could “pursue her dreams”, a gift that led to the funding of ‘Jumping at Ghosts’, Blank Instrument’s debut album.
Written during a visit to Byron Bay in the months following Julie’s passing, coinciding with what would have been Julie’s birthday, ‘Green and Blue’ weaves warm piano with a mantra of finding escape and “waiting in the blue” for the motions to come to you, accepting what is and what is to come.
The track, harmonious and inviting, encapsulates the need for respite and finding emotional clarity, using the picturesque locale of Byron Bay’s grassy coast and rolling waves as motifs for reaching understanding and realigning your beliefs of the world.
“Taking the coast road, city streets, a distant memory… Bare feet on a bush track… feel my tension ebb away, each step I’m whole again… my soul is at ease”
Blending strapping drums, swelling synths, piano, organ, and both acoustic and electric guitars, ‘Green and Blue’ is a full-bodied yet plaintive folk ballad that harnesses nostalgia.
Reflecting on the song, written while mourning her friend, Franklin describes ‘Green and Blue’ as a testament to finding solace and embracing life’s necessary moments of pause:
“Whenever I feel worried or overwhelmed, my instinct is to literally run for the hills (the bush)… [In Byron] I rounded the corner and looked down from the cliff to see all these surfers just ‘waiting in the blue’. While working on this album, I feel like it was trying to teach me something about being in the present moment, not rushing to the end and allowing the process to unfold.”
Capturing reflection, understanding and acceptance, ‘Green and Blue’ is out now as the second single from Blank Instrument’s forthcoming debut album, ‘Jumping at Ghosts’, due later this year.

THE AVALANCHES ANNOUNCE THEIR FOURTH ALBUM ‘NO BAD MEMORIES’
SET FOR RELEASE OCTOBER 16, 2026
PRE-ORDER / PRE-SAVE HERE
+ NEW SINGLE ‘CAN’T GET OVER LOSING YOU’ FEATURING PORTRAITS OF TRACY
LISTEN HERE / WATCH HERE
‘No Bad Memories’, the album is set for release October 16. Pre-order here.
The Avalanches return with ‘No Bad Memories’ a new album inspired by the simultaneously magical and insidious ways that advertising and name-brand technology wraps itself around our memories. An ambivalent ode to the nostalgic pull of commercial jingles, proprietary start-up sounds and long forgotten audio logos.
The best things in life may be free, but childhood and corporate entertainment products are completely intertwined. But where do you draw the line between precious memories and something carefully designed to become unforgettable?
“It’s been interesting as adults to reflect on this often stunning period of marketing – the creativity, filmmaking, photography and music – but which was also – you know, selling a completely unobtainable dream. The way we value devices and products; the way we reflect and represent ‘a life lived’; the wonder of memory and deep power of nostalgia, especially in sound. Revisiting imagery and jingles from childhood and realizing how profoundly they have stuck… Taking these sound sources from within the heart of this kinda corporate framework and flipping the fragments into our own kind of joyous pop music … eventually we arrived at this world of ‘No Bad Memories’. – The Avalanches
‘No Bad Memories’ is built on an extraordinary constellation of collaborators, in a similar vein to previous Avalanches LPs ‘Wildflower’ and ‘We Will Always Love You’. New single ‘Can’t Get Over Losing You’, the fourth taste of the album, showcases Louisiana self taught producer and artist Portraits of Tracy . The single combines driving, garage rock drums with The Avalanches signature nostalgic samples and euphoric melodies and vocals from Portraits of Tracy.
“Tracy is an hilarious, brave and tender human being who Tony and I have become very close to over the years we’ve been making music together. Almost weekly another song arrives .. ‘I made something new ..what do you guys think !? ‘ And they’re always SO good. Every single song ! Tracy’s production and mixing is insane but it’s her voice and songwriting that break my heart time after time, truly a generational talent ! We feel very fortunate to make music together . Robbie Chater
“Working with The Avalanches was such an awesome experience! I don’t find myself collaborating too often with peeps, but as soon as we connected it felt just right. We started the song in 2024 & rerecorded it / finished it in 2025, and now she just sounds lovely!” Portraits of Tracy

Takumi Digital Archives proudly partners with dynaxion floppy disks ‘No Bad Memories with Dynaxion’. “At Takumi we understand that digital archives are more than data repositories – they are institutional memory, intellectual property, and cultural heritage”
‘Can’t Get Over Losing You’ follows the intimate, haunting ‘Blue Shadows’ featuring Karen O, the euphoria & bounce of ‘Every Single Weekend’ with Jamie xx and glitch-laden, statement-of- intent ‘Together’ with Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and Prentiss. The Avalanches recently performed at Primavera Sound Barcelona, played their first ever live show in Mexico + announced Terminal 5 NYC show (October) and a run of headline shows at London’s The Roundhouse as part of Pitchfork Music Festival (November). Upcoming DJ sets include The Dare’s Freakquencies party (France), Poplar and C2C (Italy), and Les Nuits Weekender (Belgium), with more dates to be announced. Click HERE for more information.

Due out on September 4 via ROAR – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music, the album finds the band celebrating 45 years of history while continuing to push forward with new material.
Co-written with HELLOWEEN guitarist Sascha Gerstner, ‘Keep You Alive’ serves as the album’s second single and showcases the collaboration through MAD MAX’s signature blend of powerful riffs, memorable hooks, and timeless, larger-than-life melodic hard rock.

Packed with powerful guitar-driven anthems, memorable melodies and timeless hard rock spirit, Stories Of Destiny combines newly recorded material, long-awaited hidden gems and collaborations with some of the most respected names in the rock and metal world. The album also introduces UK vocalist Alan Clark while welcoming original MAD MAX singer Andreas Baesler as a special guest for his first MAD MAX appearance in 45 years, creating a direct link between the band’s earliest days and its present.
Founded in Münster, Germany in 1981 by guitarist, songwriter and bandleader Jürgen Breforth, MAD MAX have remained one of Europe’s most enduring melodic hard rock and heavy metal acts for more than four decades. Renowned for their unmistakable guitar-driven sound, strong melodies and classic hard rock attitude, the band have built a loyal international following through countless albums, tours and festival appearances.
Reflecting on an extraordinary career while embracing the future, Stories Of Destiny is built around songs Breforth had the honour to co-write with acclaimed musicians including Sascha Gerstner (Helloween), David Readman (Pink Cream 69), Andreas Broon (The Sisters Of Mercy) and Michael Voss, known from his work with Michael Schenker. Reimagined and newly recorded in unmistakable MAD MAX fashion, the album captures both the band’s musical roots and their continued evolution.
Further highlights include two previously unreleased MAD MAX songs from 1991, ‘Til’ The End Of Time’ and ‘Weapons Of Love’, alongside a newly recorded version of ‘Piece Of Candy’, based on the very first guitar riff Breforth ever wrote for the band in 1981. Performed as a duet between Alan Clark and Andreas Baesler, the track symbolizes the connection between MAD MAX’s past and present. The Spanish version, ‘Dulces Falsos’, marks the band’s first-ever song with Spanish lyrics and pays tribute to their growing fanbase across Latin America.
The visual world of Stories Of Destiny also connects to the MAD MAX comic, created by Mexican comic artist Maestro Arturo Said. The comic tells the story of the band from its founding days in 1981 through the 1980s and up to MAD MAX’s first shows in Colombia in 2023, making the album both a musical and visual celebration of the band’s legacy.

CoreLeoni Release Video for New Single ‘Howling At The Moon’ New Studio Album GENERECTION Arrives September 11 via Reigning Phoenix Music
Stream ‘Howling At The Moon’ HERE!
Following the announcement of their upcoming album Generection and the recent release of its first single, ‘Generation Rock,’ which perfectly captured the record’s generational spirit, CoreLeoni, led by GOTTHARD founding member Leo Leoni, have unveiled an official music video for ‘Howling At The Moon.’ The new single offers another powerful glimpse into their forthcoming studio offering, further showcasing the heavier, more hard-hitting direction CoreLeoni have embraced on their latest release.
Rooted in an idea dating back to the early ’90s, ‘Howling At The Moon’ was originally conceived by Jgor Gianola and the late Steve Lee during songwriting sessions for GOTTHARD before being rediscovered and reimagined for Generection. Driven by crushing riffs, a commanding vocal performance from Gent Bushpepa, and CoreLeoni’s unmistakable blend of melodic hard rock and metal, the song bridges the band’s present with a remarkable piece of their musical history.

Marking the band’s fourth album since its formation in 2017 and the second featuring vocalist Gent Bushpepa, Generection sees CoreLeoni returning to their roots with their heaviest and hardest-hitting record to date.
Built on a foundation of unreleased tracks, the album showcases the powerhouse lineup of Alex Motta (drums), Mila Merker (bass), and Jgor Gianola (guitars), standing as unshakable pillars of the band’s sound. While heavier and harder than its predecessors, Generection never sacrifices warmth or atmosphere, especially in its most intimate moments. With the entire band contributing more to the songwriting than ever before, the result aligns perfectly with Leo Leoni’s unmistakable signature sound.
The analogue mix is one of the defining characteristics of Generection, recreating the magic of ’70s and ’80s recordings while injecting a modern edge. Razor-sharp riffs, driving rhythms, and just the right touch of sweetness and dimension make this an album that opens a door to the past for younger listeners while reconnecting older rockers with their roots.
Since launching CoreLeoni in 2017, Leo Leoni has built the project into a celebrated hard rock force that bridges generations. With Gent Bushpepa once again delivering a commanding vocal performance and a band firing on all cylinders, Generection stands as a powerful statement of intent, honouring classic rock traditions while pushing confidently forward.
Set to be released on September 11 through Reigning Phoenix Music, Generection is available for pre-order at: https://coreleoni.rpm.link/generectionPR
The Digipak CD edition also includes a bonus disc featuring the Live At Hallenstadion concert, recorded in Zürich, Switzerland, in July 2025 and previously available only as a digital release.

CALICO CITY Blend Groove and Passion in Upcoming Single, ‘Gotta Go’ and Announce Debut EP
Single Out Now | Debut EP Out Friday, September 18
Polished and ready to go, Calico City’s upcoming single ‘Gotta Go’ delivers excitement in frivolous motion, as the final single ahead of their upcoming EP, ‘Second In Line’, set for release Friday, September 18.
Calico City, the Perth/Boorloo-based 6-piece alternative rock band originally formed in high school, has spent the past few years dissecting and harnessing their creativity to become keen players within the Perth music scene.
Their mix of reggae and rock has seen them share the stage with bands such as Beddy Rays, Dear Sunday, SOPHIAN, and Birdland – capturing their unique place within the Australian music scene, wielding quintessential Australiana beach-tones and equipping their musicality with a rock edge.
Having grown a local following with their two previous singles ‘Ghost’ and ‘Back in the Before’, Calico City’s next chapter is the upcoming September release of their debut EP, ‘Second in Line’, an EP that circumnavigates the complexities of friendships.
The EP explores the various pathways of friendship; the romantic, the heavy, the messy, the good, and the grey. Through its 6 tracks, ‘Second in Line’ creates the picture of evolving relationships with others and yourself, as you may often find yourself feeling like “lesser priority” or as if you are ‘Second in Line’ in a friendship.
As a final taste before the release of the EP, ‘Gotta Go’ pairs raucous guitars, punchy drums and rich dual vocals with an effortless blend of alternative rock and reggae influences. Balancing driving choruses with groove-laden verses, the track mirrors the push and pull of complicated relationships, as its explosive energy gives way to laidback rhythms that reflect the emotional uncertainty at its core.
Showcasing the chemistry between vocalists Brianne Reyes and Sienna Law, ‘Gotta Go’ is packed with soaring harmonies, memorable hooks and a fiery guitar-led instrumental that highlights the band’s tight musicianship. Carefree yet commanding, the single serves as a confident introduction to Calico City’s forthcoming debut EP, ‘Second in Line’.
Calico City’s steadfast and lively single, ‘Gotta Go’, is out Friday, August 7, ahead of their debut EP, ‘Second in Line’, due for release Friday, September 18.

ABOUT WADE FORSTER
Wade Forster doesn’t just sing country music – he’s lived it. Born, raised, and still working on a cattle station deep in the Queensland outback, his life has been built on dust, hard work, and long days in the saddle. A professional rodeo cowboy, he’s spent years on the circuit, chasing buckles, riding hard, and living the kind of stories most country singers only write about.
In July 2024, when Wade put on a free pop-up show in the legendary Fort Worth Stockyards, Texas, he was met with 300 fans – some who had driven five hours just to see him. They sang along to every word. These weren’t casual listeners. These were real, die-hard fans.
Without a record label, without industry backing, and without ever setting foot on a U.S. stage, The Beginningfound its way across the world. A cowboy from outback Queensland, living 15 hours from the nearest major city, had somehow built a fanbase on the other side of the planet.
Fresh off a sold-out Australian headline tour that cemented him as one of the country’s most in-demand new voices, Wade Forster has continued a meteoric rise both at home and abroad. Following standout festival appearances at Deni Ute Muster, Gympie Muster and Strumming Bird, Wade took his high-energy live show to the United States in early 2026, joining Treaty Oak Revival for a run of arena dates before sharing stages with Shane Smith & The Saints, culminating in a landmark performance at Ryman Auditorium. He returned to Texas in April for the It’s Time For Texas Tour, delivering standout sets at Two Step Inn, Lone Star Smokeout, Chilifest and Larry Joe Taylor Festival, while packing out headline shows across Canyon, Corpus Christi, Waco and Lubbock – further proving the ‘Aussie Cowboy’ is rapidly becoming a force on both sides of the Pacific.
What started as a DIY movement – an outback rodeo cowboy recording songs off rodeo winnings – has now become a trans-Pacific groundswell. Wade’s catalogue has surpassed 60 million global streams, with fans in both hemispheres finding truth in his stories of grit, heart, and hard miles.
Through it all, Wade remains exactly who he’s always been – a rodeo cowboy first, a songwriter second, and a bloke whose stories are best told in a saddle or a song. His music isn’t just about country life. It is country life – the dirt, the heartbreak, the triumph, the quiet battles, and the moments that make a man. And as long as there are steers to wrestle, highways to chase, and songs left to sing, he’ll keep telling his story – one verse at a time.

AZURE RYDER DROPS NEW SINGLE ‘PIPE DREAM OF CALIFORNIA’
DEBUT ALBUM EVEN FLOWERS CAN BRUISE OUT 25 SEPTEMBER
After an impressive streak of powerful tracks, Azure Ryder is back today with her brand-new single ‘Pipe Dream of California’, another emotionally intense piece that marks yet another development in the evolving world of Azure’s soundscape and will feature on her debut album, Even Flowers Can Bruise, out on 25 September.
Commenting on the song, Azure said:
“We are so often told that our dreams are to be found in another place, that’s what lead me to California. A last chance hope in the land of stars to catch my dream before I thought it was gone. Soon after landing there, I realised I hadn’t landed at all, my feet were certainly falling on the pavement but my belief was adrift and calling me home. Our dreams, just like our mind, follows you wherever you are, it ultimately comes down to how you believe in yourself, and that belief is not built outside, not found under a particular sun, its in the heart that beats fiercely in your chest and only you can find it.”
‘Pipe Dream of California’ comes after ‘I Don’t Need You Anymore’ and ‘North Star’ which she supported with two sold out intimate headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne in July.
Azure Ryder has built a reputation for her distinct vocal style and honest songwriting. Her music blends elements of folk and country with a melancholic and deeply nostalgic ‘vintage’ feeling dream pop, with a focus on emotion and cinematic-storytelling. Even Flowers Can Bruise is a debut album that explores vulnerability, relationships, and personal growth
Azure Ryder is a Sydney-born singer-songwriter who has steadily built an audience through a series of EP releases including Running With The Wolves, Crazy With The Light and Ladder to the Moon. Her work has earned strong support across streaming and media, highlighting her emotive songwriting and distinctive vocal tone. As a live performer, she has toured nationally and supported artists such as Teddy Swims, Angus & Julia Stone, Matt Corby, and Alexander Stewart.
With Even Flowers Can Bruise, Azure steps fully into her own light. Both delicate and powerful, her music continues to bloom in unexpected ways — reminding us that even the softest things can carry strength, and that beauty and resilience often grow side by side.
WORMWOOD Release New EP A Journey Through Inner Demons and Urban Darkness
Wormwood, one of Sweden’s most distinctive and internationally acclaimed metal bands, return with their new EP Å – a work that further cements the band’s position as one of the most innovative forces in modern extreme metal.
The EP contains two long tracks in classic Wormwood fashion, while also introducing new elements that have found their way into the sound as they continue to evolve as a band.
Å is a concept EP built around an idea that has been growing for some time, but never quite belonged on any previous or upcoming full-length album.
It is a contemporary portrayal told through two filthy stories, inspired by the more marginalized circles of Stockholm. In other words, this is as raw, real and authentic as we can portray reality through music.
Tracklist:
YRA | EXTAS
PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY
The music video for their new track YRA / EXTAS is set in present‑day Stockholm, Sweden. Inspired by real criminal cases, the video follows a single mother living on the fringes of society as she confronts her inner demons, self‑destructive impulses, and downward spiral toward the absolute abyss.
Stylistically, the video draws inspiration from the bleak, atmospheric tone of Scandinavian crime fiction — the genre widely known as Nordic Noir.
Watch it here https://youtu.be/_5D3h7aDRYE

Wormwood’s new album Å is out now on Black Lodge Records / Sound Pollution https://orcd.co/blod197
Since their formation in Stockholm in 2014, Wormwood have developed a sound that is as unmistakable as it is atmospheric. With their characteristic fusion of extreme metal, Scandinavian melancholy, folk influences, and cinematic storytelling, the band has created a sonic landscape that both moves and mesmerizes. Their music effortlessly shifts between grand, epic scope and brutally grounded intensity – a balance few bands truly master.
With four full-length albums, one EP, a live release, and now the forthcoming Å, Wormwood have built a catalog that continually evolves while deepening the band’s artistic identity. Their work has received widespread recognition: two nominations for “Rock/Metal of the Year” at P3 Guld, strong placements on the official Swedish charts, and recurring international praise from metal media around the world. Wormwood have also appeared on several global “Album of the Year” lists – a testament to their growing influence.
Wormwood’s reputation, however, is not confined to the studio. The band has toured extensively across Europe, performed at major festivals, and completed their own headline tours. Their audience continues to grow steadily, particularly in Germany, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States, where their cinematic music videos and strong digital presence further enhance their visual and musical identity.
The new EP Å is mixed and mastered by acclaimed producer Sverker Widgren (Wing Studios, Stockholm), whose work highlights Wormwood’s ability to combine technical brilliance with raw emotional power. The result is a sound that is both refined and uncompromising – a journey through melodic intensity, atmospheric depth, and an artistic vision that continues to push boundaries.
Today, Wormwood stand as one of the most forward-thinking and compelling bands in Swedish metal. With Å, they take another step in their artistic evolution – one that promises to captivate both loyal fans and new listeners around the world.
WAYFARER Release Perdition’s Crossing feat. David Eugene Edwards and tease new studio album
New Album Riders of the Setting Sun planned for autumn 2026 release
Colorado’s Wayfarer are back. “Perdition’s Crossing”, the band’s first new music since their widely acclaimed 2023 album American Gothic, is out NOW — and it signals a bold new chapter. Featuring the singular voice of David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower, Wovenhand), the track marks the beginning of a journey into territory the band hasn’t explored before: dark, cinematic Americana, more desolate than anything in their catalog, but no less haunting for it.
The track was recorded in Colorado, and was produced by Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe), engineered by James Barone (Beach House), mixed by Iver Sandoy (Enslaved) and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge etc).
Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Brendan McGowan, known for his visually striking work with Tribulation, Imperial Triumphant, and many others.

“Perdition’s Crossing” is a track from Wayfarer’s forthcoming studio album Riders of the Setting Sun, an eight-track record due for release in late 2026 that sees the band push further into new sonic and emotional terrain. More details to follow.
To mark the occasion, Vesperian is releasing a strictly limited 12″ maxi-single of “Perdition’s Crossing” — 300 copies worldwide, pressed on black vinyl with a foldout sleeve featuring lyrics, band comments, and notes on each track. Artwork by graphic novelist Julian Brier. Side A carries the title track; Side B features two exclusives: a remix by Ben Chisholm of Chelsea Wolfe (who also produced the forthcoming album) and a field recording. 200 copies are available in the US, with 100 reserved for Europe exclusively through the Vesperian webstore, up for pre-order on July 23 and to be released in mid-August.
Wayfarer will perform at Fire in the Mountains this year, where the 12″ maxi-single — along with other Vesperian releases — will be available at the label’s festival stand. For all further details on availability at the festival and beyond, follow Vesperian on Instagram.
The band comments: “We have long walked a path that was very much informed by Denver Sound legends like 16 Horsepower, and Wovenhand, among many others. To work alongside someone like David Eugene Edwards is not only a bit of a dream come true for us, but also a perfect way for us to start down new roads of the Wayfarer sound that are being fleshed out. We are excited for this collaboration to finally see the light of day.”

HIPPIE DEATH CULT Portland Heavy Rock Power Trio Signs To Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records
Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records are pleased to announce the signing of heavy rock power trio HIPPIE DEATH CULT.
The band comments, “We are beyond excited to announce our signing with Blacklight Media and Metal Blade Records, a label that has been a pillar of the metal community for decades and has always championed artistic integrity over trend-chasing, which is something we resonate with deeply. We are honored to be part of their esteemed lineage.
“Our journey has always been fueled by passion, creativity, and authenticity and we feel right at home working with a team who understands and shares these values. We can’t wait to unleash some of our most visceral music to date via one of the most respected labels in heavy metal history. Fires are burning and wheels are turning.”
HIPPIE DEATH CULT has steadily become one of the most exciting bands in the modern heavy music scene, pairing massive riffs, deep grooves, psychedelic textures, thoughtful lyricism, and hypnotizing melodies into a sound that feels both classic and contemporary. Formed in Portland, Oregon, the trio — guitarist Eddie Brnabic, vocalist/bassist Laura Phillips, and drummer Harry Silvers — has earned a reputation for delivering dynamic, emotionally charged songs and electrifying live performances that showcase their distinctive sound, transcending traditional genres and captivating fans worldwide.
Since their early releases with Cursed Tongue Records and Heavy Psych Sounds Records, the band has built significant momentum. Their 2019 debut album, 111, and its 2021 follow-up, Circle Of Days, received strong praise from critics and listeners alike, with both records topping the Doom Charts and numerous “Best Of” lists, solidifying HIPPIE DEATH CULT as a standout name in the underground scene.
Following these releases, the band’s evolution into a power trio marked a turning point, with Laura Phillips stepping into lead vocal duties and infusing even more identity and force into the group’s sound and chemistry. This progression came fully into focus on Helichrysum, the band’s first full-length studio album featuring Phillips on lead vocals. Released in 2023, the album was widely praised for its stronger songwriting, greater dynamic range, and the chemistry of the new lineup, becoming their most successful release to date in terms of streams and sales.
The band supported Helichrysum with over 250 shows across North America and Europe, including performances on major festival stages and headlining spots, further showcasing the raw power and intensity that have made their live shows a must-see.
Now signed to Blacklight Media and Metal Blade Records, HIPPIE DEATH CULT is entering a new phase with the most reach and momentum of their career. With a growing international fanbase, an increasingly refined sound, and a new release on the horizon, the band is poised to take the next leap forward. Stay tuned for a new full-length in 2027.
