JUSTIN DAVIES SHARE NEW SINGLE NO TOMORROWS
Perth singer-songwriter Justin Davies returns today with powerful new single No Tomorrows, the stirring next chapter from his deeply personal project The Tortured Souls. Following the remarkable response to debut release Unforgettable Days, which has already amassed more than 200,000 streams on Spotify alone, Davies continues to carve out a unique space with his emotionally rich songwriting and timeless sonic palette.
Driven by a hypnotic groove, warm Hammond organ swells and soaring vocal melodies, No Tomorrows expands upon the heartfelt baroque-pop and classic rock influences that first introduced listeners to Davies’ world. Produced, mixed and mastered by award-winning, two-time GRAMMY nominated producer/engineer Rob Grant (Tame Impala, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Josh Homme), the track once again features an extraordinary collective of Western Australian musicians, including drummer Malcolm Clark and bassist Jay Cortez (formerly of The Sleepy Jackson), alongside members of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
Where debut single Unforgettable Days reflected on memory, longing and enduring love, No Tomorrows captures something more immediate and urgent; the fragile beauty of living entirely within the present moment before it slips away.
“No Tomorrows was written as a slow melancholy song on the beach in northern Queensland, on a cheap 3/4 guitar that I picked up for travelling light,” explains Davies. “It’s about trying to hold onto the most important things in life before they disappear, those moments where you know something is changing, maybe ending, and not wanting to lose those who are most precious to you now, before time catches up. There’s sadness in it, but also freedom. The song has this movement and spirit that felt different from anything I’d written before, it almost drove itself.”
Like the material that introduced The Tortured Souls earlier this year, No Tomorrows emerged from an intensely personal creative awakening for Davies. After decades spent as a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist in Western Australia, the lingering grief of losing a loved one years earlier unexpectedly led him toward songwriting and artistic expression. What began with purchasing a guitar in 2023 soon became a flood of songs shaped by reflection, vulnerability and emotional honesty.
Working closely with Rob Grant at the renowned Poons Head Studio on Australia’s west coast, Davies and his collaborators built a body of work grounded in warmth, spontaneity and genuine human connection. No Tomorrows stands as one of the project’s most dynamic moments, blending classic pop craftsmanship with soulful, late-night rock energy and deeply confessional lyricism reminiscent of iconic Australian songwriters such as Paul Kelly and Don Walker.
Accompanying the track is a perfectly fitting lush, late night music video, with live performance of The Tortured Souls performing at Poons Head Studios in Perth, spliced amongst footage of Davies walking the streets of Melbourne. Produced, filmed and directed by Patrick Pierce and Dara Munnis from Dead As Disco (Jimmy Barnes, The Paper Kites, The Cat Empire), the video captures Davies wandering the city late at night, “It represents me trying to find my way through a difficult time of being lost and alone,” explains Davies. “The late night setting reflect the grittiness of the song. A no-nonsense visual to a no-nonsense song.”
The release follows a breakthrough introduction for The Tortured Souls, with Unforgettable Days resonating strongly with audiences both in Australia and abroad, earning over 200,000 streams on Spotify alone, and establishing Davies as an arresting new voice in contemporary singer-songwriter music.
With a full-length debut album on the horizon later this year, Justin Davies continues to reveal a collection defined by emotional depth, organic musicianship and timeless storytelling.
“It still amazes me that I found these songs within me,” Davies says. “For a long time, music was something I lived and admired from afar, never something I imagined I’d be living myself. But these songs arrived when I needed them most. No Tomorrows feels alive to me, it feels like movement, release and surrender all at once.”
No Tomorrows is out now.
HEAD ON, THE NEW SINGLE FROM GRACE MITCHELL’S FORTHCOMING ALBUM DAUGHTER OF THE KING, IS OUT NOW VIA CHEERSQUAD RECORDS AND TAPES.
Grace Mitchell returns today with Head On, the second single from the Melbourne-based singer-songwriter’s upcoming solo debut album, Daughter of The King. LISTEN
Written by Mitchell and originally released with her former band Emotion Picture a few years ago, Head On (2026) is a fresh take on the 90’s-inspired grungy track.
Described by Grace as “a hypnotic, driving anthem about having the tragic and deflating realization that no matter how you try to smash the puzzle pieces of a relationship together, they just won’t fit. Timing, miscommunication, and eventually distrust have you wishing that you could address it all Head On, but even if you do, the stains will never come out and the slate will never be truly clean.”
Head On follows the release of the album’s lead single, the indie-rock anthem Destroy, which has recently been added to high rotation across Australia on Double J. Together, the two tracks offer a compelling preview of the forthcoming new album, showcasing Mitchell’s blend of 90s-inspired songwriting and alternative rock influences.
Fans can expect to hear more from Grace Mitchell soon. In the meantime, Melbourne audiences can preview the upcoming album during her May residency over the next two weeks at the Merri Creek Tavern, where she will perform with her full band. Don’t miss!

ABOUT GRACE MITCHELL
Australian-born, American-raised singer-songwriter Grace Mitchell began writing the first songs for the album five years ago in Hollywood. After returning to Australia three years ago, the multi-instrumentalist – who plays keyboards, bass, and guitars – recorded and added the final touches to Daughter of The King last year at Melbourne’s Lily Street Studios.
While this is her first full-length album, Mitchell has been making music for over a decade. After her breakout moment covering the Hall & Oates song “Maneater” for the soundtrack of the major motion picture ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’, she released her first EP, Raceday, featuring the track “Jitter”, which was praised by BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe as “possibly the song of the year so far.” A string of singles followed, along with performances at major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo, and support slots with the likes of The Weeknd, MØ, MUNA, Tove Lo, St.Lucia, Joywave, and more…

MEMPHIS LK Channels Pure Dancefloor Euphoria on New Single Out My Body
Melbourne’s rising electronic powerhouse Memphis LK returns with her electrifying new single Out My Body. A high-energy, euphoric statement that continues her evolution as one of Australia’s most exciting and emotionally resonant voices in electronic music. Known for her ability to merge vulnerability with club-ready intensity and early 2000s trance influence, Memphis once again delivers a track that is built for late night release and collective dancefloor transcendence, reinforcing her place at the forefront of the new wave of Australian electronic artists shaping global club culture.
Out My Body captures the sensation of stepping beyond the noise of everyday life and fully surrendering to the dancefloor, where emotion, movement and sound dissolve into something larger than yourself. It is a track that leans into nostalgia while pushing forward, reflecting Memphis LK’s ongoing fascination with the emotional power of club music and its ability to create moments of pure escape and connection.
“The feeling of pure euphoria on the dance floor, where you can be free of the stresses of life and fully let go. Sonically I’m always trying to capture the nostalgia and optimism of dance music in the early 2000s.”
Memphis LK has become a defining force in Australia’s next generation of electronic voices. Emerging from Melbourne’s world-class club scene, her music taps into the sanctuary and transcendence of the dancefloor, a space to let go, reconnect, and escape. Her transportive live sets fuse DJing with live vocals and saxophone, creating an immersive, euphoric experience that mirrors the emotional landscape of her songs.
Expanding her live artistry further, Memphis recently unveiled LIVE AT THE DOJO, a one-take performance concept that reimagines the club experience through the lens of martial arts, blending euphoric electronic music with raw physical movement in a bold, cinematic expression of discipline and release.
Her rise continues to accelerate following a consistent run of releases that have cemented her as one of Australia’s most exciting electronic exports. Most recently, Some Kinda Heaven has seen strong support across radio and streaming, including triple j rotation, 330+ spins across 25+ stations, and placement on 20 major editorial playlists across Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, alongside support from Rolling Stone AU and Junkee.
Her previous single That Boy’s Not Nice earned global New Music Friday support across multiple territories including the UK, USA, Japan, India and Europe, alongside 26 editorial playlists and 20 triple j spins, while Skyflower achieved triple j First Play, 46 spins and SYN FM high rotation, further establishing her consistent presence across Australia’s tastemaker ecosystem.
Her breakout momentum has been matched by powerful live demand, with Memphis recently supporting Sofi Tukker and The Veronicas at AO Live (30 January 2026), performing to a sold-out 10,000 capacity crowd, and having just wrapped her sold-out Warehouse tour across Australia. Her debut True Love Rave tour (2024) sold out, and her performances continue to be defined by high energy, emotional release and immersive live instrumentation that sets her apart in the electronic space.
With Out My Body, Memphis LK continues to define a sound that exists between nostalgia and futurism, club intensity and emotional depth, reaffirming her status as one of Australia’s most compelling and fast-rising electronic artists on the global stage.

INDIGO KING REVEALS STRIKING NEW SINGLE & VIDEO – ‘WEDNESDAY’
Following three years of meticulously refining her craft, Naarm/Melbourne alt-pop artist Indigo King is ready – unveiling her striking new single ‘Wednesday’. A confessional meditation on grief, longing, and the quiet acceptance of love lost, ‘Wednesday’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for this young and exciting artist.
Offering a glimpse into her immersive sound of textured vocals, emotive lyricism, and warm, expansive production, ‘Wednesday’ explores the pull of undeniable connection and the slow, inevitable unravel that follows. It traces both the loud moments that fracture a relationship and the quieter ones that foreshadow its end. Indigo moves between the mundane and the magical, revealing how deeply both can ache.
“This song explores the reluctance to let someone go and the confronting yet comforting notion that pieces of that love will persist… even a simple day of the week can transport you right back,” Indigo describes. “I sometimes feel exposed and vulnerable writing and releasing music about such personal feelings but it also feels totally necessary and very cathartic. This process allows me to feel and work through whatever is going on and somewhere along the way, I am able to create something new.”
Expanding on the emotional and narrative universe of the song, ‘Wednesday’ arrives with a stunning video conceived by Indigo herself and directed and shot by Claire Giuffre. Together the pair have built a visual world that holds stillness and chaos in careful tension, realised across two Victorian landscapes.
The video moves between an otherworldly salt lake in south-west Victoria and the rugged amphitheatre of Torquay beach, where Indigo’s voice and storytelling drift and glide across the cracks, waves and rock-pools of her surroundings. Rather than passively observing, the viewer is invited to fully immerse themselves in Indigo’s world, compelled to run, jump, and dance alongside her.
‘Wednesday’ has already drawn early praise from triple j Unearthed, with triple j Music Director Claire Mooney declaring, “Wowwwwww I am floored,” while Andy Gav described the track as, “Absolutely stunning!! Loving how the textures and weight of the track balance that sense of restraint. Such a strong debut.”
If ‘Wednesday’ is just the beginning, the future seems blindingly bright for Indigo King.

GRACE POTTER ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM TRESPASSER – DUE OUT AUGUST 21
NEW SINGLE “LOVE ME NOT” OUT NOW
Four-time GRAMMY nominee Grace Potter has announced her seventh studio album, Trespasser, due out August 21 via Thirty Tigers. Across 10 tracks, Trespasser introduces a beautifully unruly cast of characters who step into forbidden spaces with absolute abandon. Pre-order the album HERE.
As the spiritual sequel to 2023’s critically acclaimed Mother Road, Potter continues the kaleidoscopic storyline shaped by her many road trips from her Topanga Canyon home to her part-time residence in her native Vermont (a journey she’s made eight times in the last five years, usually on her own). But while Mother Road was born from a desperate need for solace in the midst of emotional freefall, Trespasser reveals an artist firmly anchored in her singular vision. The latest chapter in a career marked by endless transformation and elite recognition, Trespasser ultimately lights the way toward a more unbound and expansive means of moving through the world.
Potter has also released the album’s first single, “Love Me Not.” After beginning in a bruised but baiting, slow-burning fragility, the track morphs into a high-energy free-for-all after the first chorus, dancing through the emotional wreckage with a euphoric rush of radiant piano melodies and fantastically rowdy gang vocals. Listen to “Love Me Not” HERE.
“We’ve always been taught that the trespassers are the bad guys, but to me it’s not about reckless rebellion—it’s about exploring, physically and mentally and emotionally, and being willing to step outside the narratives we’ve accepted,” Potter shares. “Because in my experience, the places we’re told not to go are exactly the ones that show us who we really are.”
Although each song on Trespasser opens a window onto her inner landscape, Potter conceptualized the album as a dimension-hopping road saga, weaving together what she refers to as “these fables and storylines that have been whooshing around my soul for a very long time.” Part myth, part fever dream, the LP’s rotating cast of drifters circles around Topeka: a wild-hearted nomad who drives off a bridge in the breathless and scorching “Ride Or Die,” only to be resurrected within the spectral reverie of “Gasoline.” With its ensemble of misfits also including the lascivious ghost of a café delivery boy and the jealousy-crazed diner owner who killed him, Trespasser turns epic on “War On The Mountain”—a mythic psychodrama in which wholeness comes from making peace with all the selves you were told to exile.
Produced by her husband and frequent collaborator Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, Slash) and recorded in a cross-country journey beginning at her home in Topanga with Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers), continuing in Nashville with Mother Road session players Nick Bockrath (Cage the Elephant), Tim Deaux (Kings of Leon), and Matt Musty (Train), and completed in Vermont with members of her longtime live band (guitarists Indya Bratton and Ricky Dover Jr, bassist Kurtis Keber, drummer Jordan West), the album echoes its origins with a wayward sound that spans from stripped-bare soul to cosmic country to hellraising rock & roll—all while orbiting Potter’s force-of-nature voice and lavishly imagined storytelling.

RYAN BINGHAM’S ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM WITH THE TEXAS GENTLEMEN THEY CALL US THE LUCKY ONES IS OUT NOW
Acclaimed Oscar and Grammy-winning musician Ryan Bingham shares They Call Us The Lucky Ones, his highly anticipated new album with The Texas Gentlemen. Stream/purchase via The Bingham Recording Co./Thirty Tigers HERE.
Already receiving critical attention, Bingham recently returned to PBS’ legendary Austin City Limits, appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience and spoke with Rolling Stone, who calls the new album “as complete a record as Bingham has ever recorded.” Additionally, Whiskey Riff praises, “This one feels like classic Ryan Bingham,” while All Country News declares, “he proves again why he’s one of country’s most raw and magnetic storytellers…it’s Ryan Bingham at his unfiltered, unpolished best: a storyteller, a rebel, and a musician who reminds us that country music still has room for risk, honesty, and fire.”
His first full-length project in over seven years, the album further cements Bingham as one of the most authentic and compelling voices in American music. Across the album’s 10 tracks, Bingham reflects on the highs and lows of an artist’s life on the road and his newfound sense of joy and hope, all framed by the unique genre-defying sound he and The Texas Gentlemen create together.
“This album was probably the most fun I’ve had making a record,” Bingham reflects. “I’ve always loved records that feel loose and live and gritty with a bit of soul, where the imperfections from the moment are left in. Working with musicians as talented as The Texas Gentlemen really let us lean into that in a way I hadn’t experienced before. There was an unspoken understanding between us about what each song needed, so we tracked most of it live with minimal overdubs, just playing and letting the feel lead. It finally felt like I was capturing these songs the way I always heard them in my head. We can’t wait to get out on the road and share them with fans.”
In addition to Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen—Ryan Ake (guitars), Daniel Creamer (piano, organ), Paul Grass (drums, percussion) and Scott Lee (bass)—the record also features Richard Bowden (fiddle, mandolin) and Cody Huggins (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, pedal steel).
Bingham is a Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe, and Critics’ Choice Award-winning singer-songwriter and actor whose raw, world-weary voice and evocative storytelling have made him one of the most distinctive artists of his generation. From his early years as a drifter and bull rider to penning “The Weary Kind” for the film Crazy Heart, Bingham has built a career defined by authenticity and artistic independence. His music—spanning folk, blues, country, and rock—reflects a life fully lived, blending grit, vulnerability, and resilience in equal measure.
Across six studio albums, two live records, and his 2023 self-produced EP Watch Out For The Wolf, Bingham has remained committed to unfiltered, genre-defying storytelling, captured in his live album Live at Red Rocks. In addition to his acclaimed music career, he starred as fan-favorite “Walker” on Paramount’s record-breaking series Yellowstone and recently led the Jeff Nichols-directed (Mud, Loving, Midnight Special) short film, Love Letter to Texas, which debuted at SXSW earlier this year. Featuring Bingham alongside Michael Shannon and Hassie Harrison, with narration from Sissy Spacek, Love Letter to Texas serves as a tribute to the legacy of iconic Texas films and the storytellers behind them. Beyond the stage and screen, Bingham has launched his own record label, founded the Fort Worth-based festival and rodeo, The Great Western, and introduced Bingham Spirits, beginning with Bingham’s Bourbon in 2024.

ANTHRAX ANNOUNCE New Album ‘Cursum Perficio’ Out 18th September + Release First Single ‘It’s For The Kids’
Multi-GRAMMY® award-nominated New York heavy metal titans Anthrax – Scott Ian (guitar), Charlie Benante (drums), Frank Bello (bass), Joey Belladonna (vocals), and Jonathan Donais (guitar) – will unleash their long-awaited 12th full-length studio album Cursum Perficio on September 18th via Nuclear Blast Records and Megaforce Records (North America). It marks the band’s first record in ten years since 2016’s For All Kings, which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Cursum Perficio will be available in various physical configurations to pre-order/pre-save; click HERE. The phrase Cursum Perficio is Latin for “My journey has come to an end,” “My journey is over,” or “I complete my journey.” It proves apropos for such a complete body of work.
For Cursum Perficio’s first single and video, ‘It’s For The Kids’, the quintet bulldoze the way for the album’s impact. It’s a classic Anthrax ripper locked and loaded with buzzsaw-sharp riffs, explosive drumming, and a howling and head-banging hook. It undoubtedly has all the makings of a future live staple. Listen HERE. See the quotes below from the band about the single and album.

The band dove into recording Cursum Perficio in earnest during 2022, working out of Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles. They carefully pieced together what would be this magnum opus, mining their history with reverence, delivering on fan expectations tenfold, and broadening the scope of their signature sound. Produced by Jay Ruston and Anthrax, the result is an album that’s as angry, aggressive, and alive as their most celebrated fare.
“It was quite a journey from the inception of this album to its completion,” Ian says. “We were supposed to make this in 2020, but the universe had other plans for everyone. After the Pandemic, we got to be a band again. When we started working on the record, we were just happy to be in a room together. It was so exciting that it was like being reborn in a way. All of that energy and emotion went into the music. The fear of being forced out of our lives and the joy of coming back together are present. The title ‘Cursum Perficio’ feels like ANTHRAX. It resembled what we went through to get to the point of finishing the record.”
“There was an awful lot of growth between Worship Music in 2011 and CURSUM PERFICIO,” Benante elaborated. “This album is a culmination of everything we’ve learned. I was watching a Marilyn Monroe documentary, and I saw ‘Cursum Perficio’ written on a tile in her last home. When I found out what the phrase meant, it immediately clicked with me. We aren’t saying this is our last record, but our journey has come to an end. I believe we’ve completed the task.”
“We had to make Fistful Of Metal and Spreading The Disease to be able to write Among The Living,” Ian goes on. “In the same respect, it took Worship Music and For All Kings for us to be able to write CURSUM PERFICIO. I very much compare this record to Among The Living.”
“We left it all on the table,” agreed Bello. “We really know who we are as ANTHRAX, what turns us on, and what we need to do. I don’t think anybody knows what’s next, but we’re hungrier than ever. From here on out, we’re going to go full throttle for every fucking minute.”
“A friend of mine said, ‘It’s For The Kids’ is a straight-up love letter to your fans,’” Ian says. “That’s exactly what I wanted it to be. The album needed a four-minute thrash song that harkened back to our first era. Whether it’s the aggression or the big chorus, it represents all the best parts of ANTHRAX in a very angry four-minute package. For the video, we wanted to throw back to our ‘Madhouse’ video–thematically it just made sense and this idea opened the door for us to share the experience with our fans. For all of us!”
“The video for ‘It’s For the Kids’ turned out really well,” Benante says. “I don’t necessarily like doing videos and this one had elements of things that I really love. There were fans in it, they showed up, they enjoyed it, it made me enjoy the video just seeing them enjoy it. Hearing the song for the first time, their reaction to it, and just the interaction with them was just great. I think the director did a great job on it. It’s kind of a throwback to our first ever video, ‘Madhouse.’ So I think fans are gonna see it and think ‘oh look at that, I see what they did.’ But yeah, great song and a great video. ‘It’s For the Kids’ is one of the songs that I felt was so strong, and the riff behind it and the rhythm behind it was almost like a tug of war, it’s like a push pull. It has this tension to it where the drums are just playing at a high pace speed, and the guitars are doing pretty much quarter notes with it. And the drums are just going full speed ahead. One of my favourite songs on the record and one of my favourite riffs. I really think this song is a gift to ANTHRAX fans who have been with us throughout the years. This basically is ANTHRAX at its best. Fast paced, thrashing, melodic fucking metal.”
“When I hear certain tracks, I immediately go, ‘I want to do this song. It might have a shot,” Belladonna notes. “Even the first time I started singing a tune like ‘Madhouse,’ I figured it was going to be a strong one. You just know. There’s a lot of variety to each of our records. To me, ‘It’s For The Kids’ is nice, straight-up ANTHRAX. It has a lot of fire and a punch to it. Vocally, it’s really cooking. It was definitely fun to hammer down on this one and put a lot of drive into it.”
Donais adds, “‘It’s For The Kids’ is a right to the point thrasher. It’s fast, aggressive, catchy and definitely going to be a fun one live. I love the ‘madhouse’ inspired throwback vibe of this video. Involving the fans and capturing their reactions to a new song adds some energy that really stands out.”
“I’m psyched for people to hear ‘It’s For The Kids!’” Bello comments. “This is a heavy, driving song with a big hook chorus-a combination of classic ANTHRAX and current- I can’t wait to play it live! Had a (cold!) blast filming the video too. It’s a great, energy packed video with a bunch of amazing ANTHRAX fans having a good time on a freezing day in Pennsylvania. The metal kept us all warm.”
Their journey has brought them to Cursum Perficio – a powerful, pummelling, and poetic milestone in Anthrax’s 45-year career.

MADBALL Return With New Album NOT YOUR KINGDOM + Release Music Video For ‘Rebel Kids’
NYHC kings Madball remain one of the few legacy acts capable of seamlessly bridging the gap between the old-school era and the modern heavy music landscape. To say hardcore is in the band’s DNA is an understatement—it is their lifeblood. On their tenth studio album, Not Your Kingdom which will be released on July 24th via Nuclear Blast, the band delivers their trademark tales of survival, but with a deeper, more introspective edge. The lyrics offer a raw look into Freddy Cricien’s perspective on the current state of the world and the human condition, marking their most personal release to date.
The first glimpse into the album arrives with ‘Rebel Kids.’ An anthemic track at its core, it leans into the band’s classic groove and unrelenting energy while striking a chord with the new generation of hardcore fans. The accompanying music video was co-directed by Freddy Cricien and Dave Causa, with Causa also handling filming and editing duties.
MADBALL’s Freddy Cricien comments, “Funny enough, Rebel Kids was the first track written for this album and actually was completely put together probably 2 years ago … or so. The sentiment, vibe and message of the song really became the catalyst for what came after. We all loved the song immediately but I couldn’t have known it would be the first single. We have several songs that we feel could be first “out of the gate”. But in the end Rebel Kids made the most sense musically, lyrically etc. We look forward to releasing this song and album. It’s a special one for us and we’re hoping the rest of the world feels the same once they hear it!”

NICK VULTURE ‘BREAKING THE 4TH WALL’ (ALBUM)
After 18 years in the Australian garage punk scene, Nick is now an established solo singer-songwriter, folk musician.
But one thing has stayed the same… Nick continues to create an energy that connects with his audience in a way that is honest and that can only come from a real, and often familiar, place. He completely captivates the listener by grounding the words and the music in stories they will feel were written just for them. The songs are deeply personal but also universal in that they reflect the general fragility of the human experience.
Nick’s first two LPs, ‘Dust Off The Trails’ and ‘After The Storm’ both made national and local charts in Australia and were critically acclaimed by numerous Australian and international reviews. His third (mini) LP, Breaking The 4th Wall, is now also available on all platforms and on CD.
Taking his cues from artists such as Conor Oberst, Frightened Rabbit, Bob Dylan, Justin Townes Earle, John Prine and Phoebe Bridgers, Nick has played major music festivals in Australia, as well as the best venues in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Hobart, Perth, Sunshine Coast and Cairns.
He also played at the Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City (2023) and toured the UK and Japan twice.

It is a song for our times. 30% of the sales from this release will be donated to What Were You Wearing, a charity dedicated to supporting victims and working to make the world a safer place.

JC & THE TREE ‘LOST IN THE WILD’ (ALBUM)
“Jack Johnson meets Stephane Grappelli”
JC and the Tree return with their third studio album Lost in the Wild. After three years on the road touring their original music full-time, they return with their most expansive and introspective release to date.
Arriving on all streaming platforms May 18, 2026, the album has already been in the hands of dedicated fans for over a month via exclusive vinyl and CD releases sold through the bandʼs website and at shows across their current Australian tour.
Following a strong run through the southern states, the duo will wrap up their national tour in Queensland by late June with a series of performances and festival appearances before taking the record global with an extensive European run.
Written over three years while living on the road touring their original music full-time, Lost in the Wild reflects a period of growth, movement and creative expansion. Entirely funded through their music, the album marks a significant milestone for the independent act, capturing the realities of life on the road while carving out a sustainable career.
The result is a rich and cohesive body of work that blends folk, rock, indie and roots with touches of lo-fi pop, country, prog-rock and cinematic textures. While the sound leans into a fuller, more dynamic band arrangement, it remains grounded in the warmth, intimacy and storytelling that define JC and the Tree.
Drawing influence from artists like The Lumineers, Boy & Bear, City and Colour and Of Monsters and Men, the album weaves together acoustic-driven arrangements with layered harmonies, violin-led melodies with a bed of warm acoustic guitar and a rich, textured production style. Rhodes, piano, trumpet and banjo are featured throughout and sit alongside acoustic foundations to create a sound that feels both intimate and cinematic.
Lead vocals are primarily delivered by frontman Jesse Tree, whose evocative voice and guitar work form the core of the record, while Jacinta Simons steps forward on her own track “Homesick,” adding another dimension to the albumʼs emotional range.
At its core, Lost in the Wild grapples with themes of disconnection and renewal. Through vivid, unfiltered lyrics, the album confronts the pressures of modern society — the grind of routine, the weight of expectation and the quiet longing for balance. Songs reflect on carving out time for love, family and self in a world that often demands the opposite, while ultimately rejecting materialism in favour of meaning and human connection.
Standout moments include the focus track “More Than Possessions,” an uplifting folk-rock anthem driven by violin and a clear message about identity beyond materialism, and lead single “Outrun the Sun,” a bright, sun-soaked indie-folk track featuring trumpet and a playful, toe-tapping energy.
The album also includes “Water to the Flame,” which previously reached #1 on the AMRAP Regional Chart, further cementing the duoʼs growing presence within the Australian music landscape.
Produced by Scott French at Lovestreet Studios in Queensland and mastered by Trent Dobson, the record brings together a talented group of collaborators who add depth and character to its sound.
Contributions from French on drums, bass, banjo and percussion, alongside Niq Reefman on trumpet, help shape a dynamic and immersive sonic landscape that supports the albumʼs emotional weight and storytelling.
Following their Queensland festival run, JC and the Tree will embark on their first international tour, a major milestone for the duo.Spanning three months from mid- July to mid-October 2026, the European
tour will include 22 dates across Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands and France, with eight festival appearances already confirmed, including a showcase event in Germany. In total, the band is set to perform more than 40 shows worldwide in support of the album, bringing their music and message to an expanding global audience.
Recorded at Love Street Studio, Lost in the Wild captures a band unafraid to question, to wander and to grow. It speaks to anyone caught between the structures of modern life and the pull of something more grounded, offering a timely reminder that we are more than what we own, produce or are told to be.
With this release, JC and the Tree deliver a resonant, heartfelt collection of songs that invites listeners to slow down, reconnect and rediscover what truly matters.
“JC & The Tree create beautiful, heartfelt and nuanced music. The interplay between the two of them is a thrilling delight and the songs resonate with heart, soul and passion. I love them.”Stuart Coupe – Author, journalist, broadcaster
“JC and the Tree have really hit their stride with this new album. It feels both expansive and deeply personal, featuring the storytelling and nostalgic sounds that they have become so well known for.”
Sarah Howells – ABC / Triple J

DEL WEBB EXPLOSION ‘SOMETIMES NEVER’
Sometimes Never is the newest release from Del Webb Explosion, a vibrant, toe-tapping anthem that hooks you instantly. Bursting with energy and irresistible rhythm, it pulls listeners in from the first beat and doesn’t let go, delivering a feel-good, upbeat experience that lingers long after the music fades away forever.
Del Webb Explosion is an Adelaide-based, eight-piece rock’n’soul powerhouse delivering high-energy original music with a punchy three-piece brass section. Blending 80s British influences with a modern edge, the band is known for tight musicianship, big hooks, and a dynamic live show that gets audiences moving.
Regular performers on both local and international stages, Del Webb Explosion has toured extensively across Asia and the UK, bringing their unmistakable sound to diverse audiences. Professional, engaging, and built for the stage, they’re equally at home in intimate venues or on festival line-ups—guaranteeing a set that’s loud, lively, and unforgettable.
Del Webb Explosion Biography
“Decades of international touring has left Del Webb Explosion a backstory as big as its sound.”
Formed in Adelaide in the early ’80s, the original lineup quickly earned a reputation as a class act—blending original songs with northern soul influences and clocking up an impressive 76 gigs in just 13 months before disbanding.
From the ashes came Plan B, carrying the torch through years of solid local and interstate touring. After a long hiatus, the band re-emerged in 2009 with three original members, embarking on an extensive international run that saw them release multiple studio recordings and take their music across Asia and the UK.
In late 2025, the circle closed—Plan B returned to its roots, reclaiming the name Del Webb Explosion and unveiling a revitalised lineup featuring vocalist Paul Matthews and guitarist Brett Sody.
Today, Del Webb Explosion is an eight (sometimes nine)-piece rock’n’soul powerhouse, driven by a dynamic three-piece brass section and a love of bold, 80s-influenced British rock. Known for delivering a complete creative package, the band produces original, engaging work both visually and aurally—from standout songs and tight arrangements to striking artwork and video.
Equally at home on stage, Del Webb Explosion brings a polished, high-energy live show that connects instantly with audiences—whether long-time followers or first-time listeners—proving themselves a band that doesn’t just play… they entertain.
For Del Webb Explosion, it’s all about the music—and the feeling it creates.
From Hard Rock Café stages in Mongolia and Cambodia to festival appearances in the United Kingdom and China, the band has taken its infectiously melodic original songs to far-reaching corners of the globe. A regular international touring schedule has seen Del Webb Explosion connect with increasingly diverse audiences—many hearing the band for the first time and leaving with melodies stuck in their heads and a genuine sense of joy.
2026 sees the band returning to the recording studio as well as returning to Cambodia for the eighth time in November as part of the band’s Fire Horse Tour.
With a passion for travel and connection, the band continues to seek out new destinations, taking their sound beyond the usual circuit and sharing their music wherever an audience is ready to listen.

Brett Sody – guitar, vocals
Peter Flierl – bass, vocals
Adrian Miller – keyboards
Patrick Stapleton – trombone
Robert Williams – trumpet
Phillip Allen – saxophone, yidaki

FOOL NELSON RELEASE SINGLE ‘KEEPSAKE’. TOURING UK/EU + DROP DELUXE EP
Leading on from two national sold-out tours, multiple BBC Radio 1 spins on Sian Eleri’s ‘Future Artists’, Alyx Holcombe’s ‘Indie Show’, and Craig Charles’ Radio 6 show, Fool Nelson are midway through their debut UK and Europe tour (including a sold out London headline) in support of their single drop ‘Keepsake’ and ‘Bad Dreams [Deluxe EP]’.
‘Keepsake’ opens with lead singer Tom Broadbent’s signature tender crooning over a bed of rustic guitar chords, evoking an intensely personal stream of consciousness. Balancing unpolished grit with heartfelt lyricism makes the track feel as appropriate for solitary bedroom listening as it does for a sweat-soaked mosh pit. The song’s structure utilises soaring pre-choruses to build and reach a crescendo, launching into a cathartic guitar-solo bridge. Continuing their creative partnership, ‘Keepsake’ is produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (The Buoys, Death by Denim), and mastered by George Georgiadis (Ruby Fields, Hockey Dad).
Click to stream ‘Keepsake’ / Click to stream ‘Bad Dreams Deluxe’ EP
Tom Broadbent talks about the meaning behind the single: “‘Keepsake’ is a song for our loved ones. Sometimes you get so caught up in your own head that you forget how much these people mean to you. It’s often during completely mundane moments in the day that it can hit you; “wow, I really love these people”. I started writing this song during one of these moments.”
2025 saw the band burst into triple j’s Hottest 200 at #154, supported luminaries Spacey Jane, Skeggs, and Old Mervs, and ticked-off Rolling Sets Festival, The Great Escape, Wave Rock Weekender and Rum Jungle’s festival ‘New For Now’. The trio were noted as ‘Ones To Watch’ and selected as the Unearthed Competition Winner for triple j’s One Night Stand in their hometown of Busselton (the only ever act to win an Unearthed Competition, twice).
Show-stopping and chart-topping, ‘Bad Dreams’ hit #1 Most Played on triple j for multiple weeks, with previous singles all in the Top 10 at the station. Releases have climbed National Shazam Charts, and locally in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, and have been widely embraced by Australian radio. The WA group were cover stars of ‘Rock Out.’ on Spotify and have had continued support, added to countless Apple Music and Spotify playlists across the globe.

STAND ATLANTIC RETURN WITH ANTHEMIC NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “VELCRO”
Australia’s wildly successful alternative act Stand Atlantic today return with a bright new single and music video “Velcro”, out now via Virgin Music Group. Debuting via a First Play this morning on triple j Breakfast, “Velcro” marks a defining creative shift for the band, pairing their signature high-energy sound with a newfound emotional directness.
Built from magnetic attraction, emotional vulnerability and the addictive pull of wanting someone you can’t stay away from, “Velcro” is a love song that both honours Stand Atlantic’s signature punchy energy while opening the door to a fresh sonic and songwriting chapter. A strong melodic direction takes the reins of their ecstatic rock sound, riddling the track with hooks as immediate and irresistible as the feelings at its core, giving in to the rush of unguarded head-over-heels love. The accompanying music video, shot in the iconic Young Henrys brewery in Newtown, Sydney, sees the band’s sharp musicianship in full flight.
Frontwoman Bonnie Fraser continues, “I’ve spent 10 years avoiding love songs and writing only about what ended in heartbreak. On ‘Velcro’, that curse is finally broken. It’s the most honest thing I’ve written in a long time – after a really intense period of writer’s block, so recording it live, raw and unfiltered felt like the only way to do it. The curse is officially broken, the gates are open, our lovergirl era is on, and ‘Velcro’ says you’re welcome.”
Stand Atlantic – “Velcro” (Official Visualiser)
Since forming way back in 2012 in Sydney, Stand Atlantic have quietly grown into one of the country’s most successful contemporary exports of the alternative world. From their breakout 2017 EP Sidewinder, through to four acclaimed studio albums Skinny Dipping (2018), Pink Elephant (2020), f.e.a.r. (2022) and WAS HERE (2024), the four-piece act have amassed a global fanbase and over 500M streams across their catalogue. With each release, the band continued to prove why Kerrang! named them one of the “Hottest Rock Artists” in the world, collecting Feature Album, #1 Most Played and Album of the Weekend accolades across triple j, BBC Radio 1 and more, to charting on Billboard genre charts, UK’s Top 200 and ARIA’s Top 10 charts. Their ARIA-Platinum single and smash hit “Deathwish” feat. nothing, nowhere. sits on over 57M streams to date, while their triple j Like A Version cover of Juice WRLD’s “Righteous” landed in the first triple j Like A Version Hottest 100.
Stand Atlantic’s extensive touring and electrifying live set has cemented their international acclaim, selling out headline shows and tens of thousands of tickets across Australia, the UK, Europe, USA and more. They’ve supported the likes of Sum 41, MOD SUN, ONE OK ROCK, A Day To Remember and I Prevail, while appearing at festivals around the globe including Spilt Milk, Good Things, Reading & Leeds, MAYDAY!, Hanabie. presents DAIKAIHOU and many more. With another huge year of touring ahead, the band will perform the 2026 Warped Tour in the US, Slam Dunk UK/EU festivals, and are the main supporting act for Simple Plan in the UK.

BABY COOL RELEASES ‘SACRED’ 3RD TASTE OF UPCOMING SOPHOMORE ALBUM INFINITY BABY OUT 5 JUNE
When our world is crumbling, what we need most is each other. Out today is ‘Sacred’. Baby Cool’s tender ode to friendship and platonic love. It’s the third offering from her upcoming album Infinity Baby, slated for release 5 June. Alongside the single is a dreamy seascape music video you can watch here.
‘Sacred’ is a gentle lullaby – head in lap, Baby Cool strokes the audience’s hair and whispers soft reassurances. With delicate harp and nostalgic, dizzying synth, it is a track that holds you, kisses your forehead and reminds you to slow down.
Of the track, Baby Cool muses “So much is said for romantic love and the power it holds, but for me, friendship has always felt like the most enduring and sacred form of love. This song is for the friends who have steadied me — the ones who reflect back the better parts of myself and sit beside me when everything feels too heavy. There’s a line in the song about holding onto something sacred “when there is nothing else that I can do.” That’s what friendship has been for me — something solid to hold when the bigger questions of life start to feel overwhelming. The song moves gently, almost like a sway, because that’s how I experience those relationships — not dramatic, just steady and present.”
Having recently given birth to her first child, Baby Cool has found new meaning in the track.
“As I moved through pregnancy, the meaning shifted. The idea of breathing in time with someone, of carrying a life inside you, made the song feel wider. It stopped being only about friendship and started to feel like a meditation on connection itself — the quiet miracle of sharing time, breath and love with another person. ‘Sacred’ is less about grand declarations and more about the small, consistent tenderness that holds us together.”
The music video sees a pregnant Baby Cool sway along the coastline near her home in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales; super 8 film adds an element of nostalgia that echos the grounded yet wistful tone of the track. You can watch it here.
Where her debut body of work Earthling on the Road to Self Love felt almost whimsical in its search for meaning, upcoming album Infinity Baby is more grounded and honest. The songs move through desire, cynicism, devotion and surrender, sometimes defeat, but always circle back to a kind of hope. It’s a record about patterns: the ones we inherit, the ones we repeat, and the ones we choose to keep.
ABOUT BABY COOL
Baby Cool is the alter ego of Grace Cuell, the co-front-woman of Brisbane alt/psych outfit, Nice Biscuit. She made her solo debut in 2022 with singles ‘Magic’, ‘The Sea’, ‘Poison’ and ‘Daydream’, all lifted from her lush first album, Earthling on the Road to Self Love (2023).
Praised for its warmth and dreamlike swell, Earthling on the Road to Self Love was 4ZZZ’s Album of the Week, featured on the RRR Soundscape and playlisted on RAGE, FBI, PBS, 2SER and RTRFM. The Guardian flagged Baby Cool in its Best New Music column while NME pinned her as an artist to watch in 2023.
No stranger to the stage, Baby Cool quickly accrued some heavy hitting support slots for the likes of Babe Rainbow and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard before travelling to the UK for a co-headline tour with Nice Biscuit, including appearances at The Great Escape and Wide Awake Festival. Since then, she’s added shows with Thee Sacred Souls (USA), Allah Las (USA) and Blonde Redhead (USA) to her touring resume.
Upcoming album Infinity Baby promises an evolution of sorts. As Cuell prepares to welcome her next creative offering into the world, she also takes her first step into real life motherhood. No doubt, this new era will prove fruitful for Baby Cool.
‘Sacred’ is available on all major streaming platforms now. Infinity Baby is out June 5.

They not only created a distinctive sonic identity but also penned unforgettable songs while delivering electrifying live performances.
In the late ’80s, The Stems achieved acclaim with a series of singles and EPs and the timeless ‘At First Sight, Violet are Blue’ LP in 1987. Across the song, the percussive groove-laden soundscape resembles the extremes of Mongolia’s fickle and unforgiving climate. A head-nodding riff tosses and turns beneath propulsive verses, giving way to a melodic refrain from Hawkins who croons the infectious chorus, “Born to be a lost soul.” These English-sung affirmations lock into a seamless volley with traditional Mongolian chanting, uniting styles and cultures in one burst of boundary-breaking energy.Resounding beyond all borders, the song trumpets a message of resiliency, fortitude, and strength that translates positively into any language and anywhere in the world.Regarding the song, Galaa comments “We have been unpacking our surprises one by one. Hunnu Rock transcends through culture and in that respect, we have made ‘Lost Soul’ with Jonny Hawkins. To be not lost on your life journey, not losing your values, and go through life and having a courage to face the life obstacles are messages we are sending our fans through this song ‘Lost Soul’ and in our next album, HUN. “Hawkins adds, “I am so excited to team up with a band as committed to their craft as The Hu. It’s unlike anything I’ve done before.”
HUN finds The Hu, who were first tipped by NPR back in 2019, at the peak of their powers thus far. They expand the scope of their signature Hunnu Rock with 11 tracks steeped in the lore and legend of Mongolia, yet uplifted with universal ambition. METALITE Unveil Brand-New Music Video for Explosive Single ‘Starchild’!
Swedish modern metal force METALITE continue their forward momentum with the release of a stunning new music video for their latest single, ‘Starchild’. Following their recent signing with PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music and the high-energy introduction of the previously-released track “Our Time Has Come,” the band now dives deeper into the sonic universe of their upcoming concept album Discovery.
‘Starchild’ showcases METALITE’s signature blend of soaring melodies, powerful riffs, and futuristic soundscapes. Driven by epic arrangements and shimmering synth layers, the track pulls listeners straight into the heart of the album’s narrative, offering a glimpse into the story unfolding within their ambitious new record.
With the accompanying video, METALITE bring the world of ‘Starchild’ to life, visually expanding the band’s sci-fi inspired concept and underlining their dynamic and modern approach to power metal.
Guitarist, producer, songwriter and founder Edwin Premberg comments:
“Starchild is a key piece of the concept behind our upcoming album Discovery. It’s a classic Metalite track, packed with high energy and soaring melodies but with some new influences. I wanted to create something heavier, a song that’s truly headbang-friendly with a chorus everyone will be singing along to.”

ABOUT METALITE
Formed in 2015 by guitarist Edwin Premberg and vocalist Emma Bensing, the band quickly gained recognition for its fresh and modern take on melodic metal and their 2017 debut album “Heroes in Time” set the stage for METALITE’s rise.
In 2019, the band entered a new era with “Biomechanicals”, marking the debut of vocalist Erica Ohlsson. With an even more refined sound, the album embraced electronic elements and pulsating rhythms, elevating METALITE’s futuristic vision, further solidifying the band’s reputation as innovators in the genre.
Their evolution continued with “A Virtual World” in 2021, an album that expanded on their sci-fi themes while delivering massive soundscapes and powerful melodies.
With “Expedition One” (2024), METALITE embarked on their most ambitious project to date. A visionary concept album set in the year 2055, it tells the story of a renegade team searching for a new world, exploring themes of human evolution, technology, and survival.
In 2024, the band welcomed drummer Erik Junttila to the lineup, bringing new energy and power to their sound. His premiere gig with the band took place in Linköping at the beginning of 2025, marking an exciting new chapter in METALITE’s journey. Since then, they completed several tours with bands like Pain, Leaves’ Eyes and the Night Flight Orchestra and played at several festivals, including Sweden Rock and Masters of Rock.
With millions of streams and a growing global fanbase, METALITE continues to redefine the future of melodic metal. Their fusion of cutting-edge sound design, anthemic choruses, and sci-fi-inspired storytelling has set them apart, proving that their journey is far from over. Stay tuned – a new discovery awaits!

Far North Queensland’s AMBER FARNAN reveals emotive new single ‘WHEN I GET BETTER’
Emerging as one of Queensland’s most exciting new voices in indie-pop, AMBER FARNAN has consistently been growing a strong presence for herself since her debut in 2019.
A string of releases across following years cemented the songwriter as an artist with a wealth of potential to be tapped into and as we stride into a brand new year of music, Farnan is back with the first taste of a new arc: the new single, ‘WHEN I GET BETTER’.
For fans of artists including Asha Jefferies, Middle Kids and Missy Higgins, a song like this is a perfect moment of reintroduction for Farnan, who is looking ahead to a bright new chapter of creativity.
‘WHEN I GET BETTER’ highlights her mature and emotion-driven sense of storytelling. Navigating themes of grief, isolation and coming back to oneself, ‘WHEN I GET BETTER’ stems from an intensely personal place for the artist, but is presented in a way that many listeners may find relatable.
“There’s a kind of loneliness that doesn’t come from being alone, but from watching life move without you. ‘When I Get Better’ is a song born from that space. ‘When I Get Better’ sits inside a kind of grief that’s harder to name, the feeling of growing up while also being held back. Written from the experience of living with chronic illness, the song reflects on years spent in and out of hospital, stretches of time bed-bound, and the quiet realisation that parts of adolescence weren’t just missed, but taken. Not postponed. Not waiting. Gone.
There’s something particularly confronting in recognising that no matter what happens next, you don’t get those years back. The song lives in that feeling of being robbed of something you can’t replace. At its core, ‘When I Get Better’ isn’t just about illness, it’s about what it means to hold onto the idea of a future version of yourself when the present feels uncertain. It captures that persistent belief that things might change, and the emotional weight of carrying that belief for years.” AMBER FARNAN
‘WHEN I GET BETTER’ was written at Farnan’s local swimming pool – a significant location, as swimming had become a way for her to clear her head and heal. As she describes, the activity became “unintentional therapy”; the final result here is a song that Farnan is able to release and with it, close the door on what has been a painful, yet formative period of her life.
“Recording and releasing this track marks something significant. A closing of a chapter that’s been open for a very long time, and the quiet beginning of another, one with space to breathe, to rebuild, to start again without the same weight. Proof that there is still a version of life waiting on the other side of survival.
This song has been a long time coming, for so long my life has felt shaped by illness in what I can do, how I live, and how I connect. Finishing it was me realising how tired I am of that being what defines me, and finally letting myself move forward.” AMBER FARNAN
The release of new music from Farnan is an exciting return, following on from her 2022 EP, THE MOTIONS. A powerful blend of pop and indie-folk, Farnan’s music is instantly captivating and immersive, offering the listener an opportunity to escape in the playfulness and spirited nature of each arrangement.
Farnan’s work has earned her a Queensland Music Award in 2021 for her track ‘Over & Out’, while as a performer, she has shared stages with artists including Missy Higgins, Tia Gostelow, Jem Cassar-Daley, Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers and many more. Becoming a festival favourite on stages at events such as Nannup Music Festival and the Airlie Beach Music Festival, Farnan’s presence is one that resounds with each audience; leaving crowds wanting more.
‘WHEN I GET BETTER’ is released THURSDAY 21 MAY.

ELAURA STEPS BOLDLY INTO A NEW ERA WITH CRY UNTIL WE LAUGH EP + INTIMATE NAARM LAUNCH SHOW
Emerging Naarm/Melbourne R&B-soul artist ELAURA steps boldly into a new era with her debut EP, Cry Until We Laugh, an emotionally rich, bilingual body of work that explores heartbreak, healing, self-worth, spirituality, rage, joy, and the transformative power of community.
Out Thursday 21 May, Cry Until We Laugh is both deeply personal and universally resonant, a project that moves through spoken word poetry, R&B-soaked grooves, lush harmonies, electronic production, and intimate storytelling woven in both English and Spanish. To celebrate the release, ELAURA will bring the EP to life with an intimate launch show at Shotkickers on Thursday 11 June. Backed by a dynamic 7-piece band, the performance promises a fully immersive live experience moving seamlessly from raw vulnerability to cathartic empowerment.
Across five tracks, ELAURA unpacks the aftermath of toxic love and the reclaiming of voice and identity. Expect soulful vocals, spoken word passages, live instrumentation layered with moments of humour and release, and a performance designed to make people feel deeply while dancing through the ache.
Written in collaboration with a creative community across Naarm, the EP reflects ELAURA’s belief that healing is never done alone. EP opener ‘cut my hair’ is a raw reflection on inherited relationship patterns, and the painful process of letting go of a love that once felt all-consuming to rediscover myself beyond it. ‘we both know’ was written as an outlet for suppressed anger and heartbreak. This song captures the frustration of never receiving accountability or a genuine apology from someone who caused deep pain.
The second single from the EP ‘LDDWYD’ (Love Don’t Do What You Did) is a deeply vulnerable song that unpacks heartbreak, questions the meaning of love, and surrenders to the idea that life may have a plan that we can’t yet make sense of. The EP’s first single, ‘That Ain’t It’, was born from betrayal and heartbreak; it’s a song about reclaiming power, a journey of speaking unspoken truths, turning pain into strength, and finding the resolve to walk away from what no longer serves you.
The closing track ‘find your feet’ embodies the heart of the EP, surrendering to joy, trusting others to hold you through pain, and discovering strength in togetherness. A hopeful and euphoric reflection on community, resilience, and purpose, this song is about rebuilding yourself through love, connection, and trusting the people who help you start again: “Tus días pueden ser, más lluvia que sol, pero mano en mano, lo haremos juntos.” Translated as: “Some days are gonna be cloudier than most, but I’ll help you find your feet, and we’ll start again.”
Born in Australia with Chilean heritage, ELAURA grew up in the forested valleys of the Dandenong Ranges, a landscape that continues to shape the emotional depth and natural spirituality of her music. Her artist name itself is a tribute to the women who came before her, blending the names Emily and Laura, her grandmother and great aunt.
Already recognised for her captivating live presence, ELAURA has performed alongside the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and across iconic Melbourne venues including Howler, Northcote Social Club and the National Gallery of Victoria.
Cry Until We Laugh sees ELAURA deliver her most vulnerable and expansive work to date.

INTRODUCING FUTURE SHADE AND THEIR DEBUT SINGLE ‘PAYPHONES’
Introducing your new obsession, Future Shade. An electronic duo formed by Jannah Beth and Andrew Meyer, who have been working between Australia and Aotearoa. Their music lives in the space between euphoria and nostalgia, emotional, soulful electronic songs shaped by long conversations, shared histories, and an instinctive trust in process.
Future Shade explores themes of love, transience, cosmic connection, and shared humanity, drawing influence from artists such as RÜFÜS DU SOL, Little Dragon, SBTRKT, Sampha, Blood Orange, and Frank Ocean. Their sound blends organic and electronic textures, balancing melancholy and release, music designed for sunset festival stages as much as intimate listening.
‘Payphones’, out today, is their debut single and is the first song they made after deciding to become a duo. Transportive and spacious, the track circles questions of absence and connection: where does the day go, where does love go, and how do we stay close when someone isn’t here? Balancing melancholy and hope, ‘Payphones’ captures the emotional lane Future Shade inhabits: music for open roads, closing doors, and the quiet decision to keep moving toward connection, even without answers.
To celebrate the release of ‘Payphones’, Future Shade will launch the project live at The Vanguard in Sydney on 27 June, bringing their emotionally charged electronic world to the stage for the first time.
The duo met while creating Jannah Beth’s solo project Orbits & Echoes, discovering an immediate creative alignment rooted in emotional honesty, patience, and curiosity. Their process often begins with dialogue, allowing songs to emerge through freestyles, repetition, and subtle evolution rather than forced outcomes.
The name Future Shade is inspired by Future Shade, the album by The Herd — a philosophy of planting seeds for futures beyond ourselves. It reflects a long-term commitment to lineage, care, and intentional creation: honouring the shade inherited from those before, while creating spaces of rest, connection, and meaning that may never fully be experienced by the creators themselves, for those who come after.
‘Payphones’ is the first single of many to come from this brand-new duo.
Future Shade tour dates
Friday 5 June – SXSW London
Saturday 27 June – The Vanguard, Sydney
RISSA HEALS WITH TRIUMPHANT ANTHEM ‘DON’T BE LONG’
Following the heartbreak-laden narrative of her 2025 EP ‘WHERE LOVE ONCE WAS’, Polynesian Australian R&B powerhouse RISSA returns today with her latest release ‘Don’t Be Long’ – produced by the trans-Tasman team of Edy Liu (NZ) and Chunkyluv (AUS).
‘Don’t Be Long’ is an inviting, joyous cut of modern R&B, enveloping the listener in glittering piano melodies and sun-kissed instrumentation that radiates a buoyant sonic atmosphere. The track creates an infectious embrace, anchored by RISSA’s signature silky vocals and ethereal harmonies that glide effortlessly across groove-laden bass lines.
“The song conveys my freedom and desire for what love can be,” explains RISSA. “Collaborating with Edy Liu and Chunkyluv, we’ve created something for romantics and romanticisers alike. For anyone who’s ever put on a song and pretended they were in the music video—’Don’t Be Long’ was made to be all that.”
Accompanying the track is the scenic music video, shot on the backroads of Pitt Town Bottoms, Sydney, Australia. Directed and edited by the team of Justin Cuen, Ralph Villegas and Liam Viray, the clip exudes the song’s themes of joyful freedom.
The release coincides with RISSA’s highly anticipated leap onto the global stage. After amassing over 25 million streams and earning a reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling R&B exports, she is set to bring her live show to London this month for two exclusive performances, including a showcase at SXSW London. This continues on from her debut national headline tour, where she traversed the country playing shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
With a growing catalogue of heartfelt releases – from her 2023 debut EP ‘Made To Feel’ to recent EP ‘WHERE LOVE ONCE WAS’, RISSA has seen extensive support from the likes of NOVA, Hit FM, triple j, triple j Unearthed, Double J, CADA, fbi radio, SYN, and more.
Inspired by the worlds of R&B and Gospel and drawing sonic comparisons to luminaries like Snoh Aalegra, Olivia Dean, and RAYE, RISSA continues to define a lane that is uniquely her own: one rooted in the heart of Western Sydney but tailored for the world stage.

JEANE UNVEILS DEBUT EP SICKO WITH NEW SINGLE & VIDEO ‘WILDFIRE’
HEADLINE SHOW AT THE TOTE ON FRIDAY 24 JUNE
Naarm’s Jeane shares her new single and video ‘Wildfire’, taken from her debut EP Sicko, out now. The track is a defiant reckoning with faith, femininity and self-expression; the hardest-won song on the record.
‘Wildfire’ explores the space between what faith can give you and what it can demand in return. Jazz Johnston explains. “Growing up, I spent most weekends going to church with my family. There were some beautiful parts about this (community, spirituality and faith) but I have always felt this tension in me about how I can express myself. ‘Wildfire’ is about that tension, especially as a woman: allowing yourself to be outrageous, wild and sexy as a defiance against false piety.”
“Deeply ingrained in Christianity are gender roles that I could feel myself internally pushing against as a young person, but not having the self-understanding to express it. That is what this song is about, and it’s probably a testament to why the production is so wild. I wanted to harness that feeling in the guitar parts, making them sharp and unruly (thanks soundtoys!).”
“It was the most difficult song on the EP to finish. We’ve tried to record it three different ways in three different studios, only to have the final version recorded back in our home studio in Northcote.”
Filmed at Fairfield Uniting Church by close collaborator Marcus Coblyn, the ‘Wildfire’ music video sees the band transformed into a troupe of cheeky nuns. The video follows frontwoman Jazz Johnston from prayer pews to euphoric dance sequences through the church, before she catches a train into the city for a sneaky day out fuelled by beer and arcade games.
“We were inspired by Fatboy Slim’s ‘Weapon Of Choice’ — especially its choreography and the balance between entertainment and intrigue. We wanted to explore that same sense of movement and playfulness through a religious caricature. Which feels very rock-and-roll to me. The shoot has become our favourite we’ve ever done, particularly in the final band scene where we’re all rocking out dressed as nuns. We could barely get through the take because we were laughing so much.”
‘Wildfire’ follows ‘Good God (What Have We Become)’ and ‘CASH’, the latter of which earned a Wild On Feature on rage and a Frankie spotlight, as well as airplay on triple j, Unearthed, PBS, Triple R, FBi, 4ZZZ and SYN. The EP also features the 2025 single, ‘Emotional Baby,’ which has gone on to become the theme song for SBS’s Love Without Limits Podcast and was covered by the viral social media star Just Tat Em.
Jeane is the project of Jazz Johnston and friends, expanding to a full band including Luke Moseley on guitar, Connor Black-Harry on bass and Pelaya Arapakis on drums. Jazz is an active member of the Naarm music community, and a member of The Tote’s Reclink team The Rockdogs. In 2024, Jazz Johnston was awarded the APRA AMCOS Hear Hear Producer/Engineer Residency, and was the Songhubs Pathways Recipient in 2025 – a testament to her technical skill and creative vision behind the desk as well as on stage. The band have brought their captivating live show to Brunswick Music Festival, Across The Punt, and Warrandyte Festival, and have supported Full Flower Moon and, WILSN and The Slingers.
Fresh off selling out The Gem, Jeane returns for a special EP launch at The Tote on Friday 24 July, supported by Canberra’s Sonic Reducer, Gloomie, DJs Gakermanis (Indie Sleaze Set) and DJ Good Time Gals. The show will also mark the exclusive release of limited edition merch and a very special split vinyl – Sicko on one side and Butternut Sweetheart’s EP, the project of bandmates Luke Moseley and Jazz, on the other.
Jeane’s debut EP, Sicko, is out now.

DICE ANNOUNCE SECOND ALBUM ‘I THOUGHT THE ALTITUDE WOULD MAKE IT WORTH THE VIEW’ + NEW SINGLE ‘LOOSE CHANGE’
DICE announce the release of their second album I Thought The Altitude Would Make It Worth The View, set for release on 31 July via Tone City Records / Virgin Music Group.
For this album, DICE pivoted away from the grit of their debut album Midnight Zoo, toward a more expansive, blissful, lighter, euphoric world. The result is a 10-track album that is a windows down anthem for radical self-reflection and liberation, capturing a band finally flying at their own altitude.
Alongside the album announcement comes new single ‘Loose Change’, a euphoric reminder that taking the leap is always worth the view. Born from a voice note and refined in LA with G Flip, the track was brought to life at Hollywood’s EastWest Studios with 11-time Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, The White Stripes). While the upcoming album explores a sophisticated new sound, this single leans into the raw, sun-drenched energy of fan-favourites like ‘Double Espresso’ and ‘Stop Sign’. ‘Loose Change is the second taste of the album, following on from the first single ‘COOLER’.
The band says of the track; “’Loose Change’ is about taking risks and getting out from the safety net to achieve what you set out for. This track is a nice reminder that it’s all a matter of the mind and anybody can achieve what they strive for.”
Comprising of Ben Hodge, Tom King, Regan Beazley, and Sam Barrett-Lennard, the Perth-based four-piece makes music for authentic connection. Following the 2024 release of their ARIA-charting debut album Midnight Zoo, the band rapidly grew from local indie favourites into a global touring act.
In 2025, they expanded their sonic palette with the WINGS EP and took their electrifying live show to larger stages across London, New York City, Toronto, Amsterdam and Sydney. At home, the band has maintained a place on triple j’s Most Played Artists list for three consecutive years with fan favourite songs including ‘Chasing Hearts’, ‘Alter Ego’, and ‘Hourglass’.

CYHRA unleash powerful new single ‘Mark Of My Sins’
Swedish melodic metal supergroup CYHRA (featuring AMARANTHE co-founder Jake E and current THE HALO EFFECT, KAMELOT, THE CROWN, and SUBURBAN TRIBE members) are continuing to take the metal world by storm with the release of their new digital single ‘Mark Of My Sins.’ While the group are composed of legendary musicians, ‘Mark Of My Sins’ proves that CYHRA are no mere supergroup, but instead a band that produce music on par with anything they have previously released. A high bar, but one that they consistently meet. This is the sound of a band levelling up: Massive riffs, stadium-sized hooks, and a chorus that refuses to leave your head. Heavy, melodic, and packed with raw intensity, this song is built to be played loud.
Frontman Jake E comments: “‘Mark Of My Sins’ is one of the most powerful songs we’ve ever written. It’s raw, intense, and full of emotion – everything we love about CYHRA. This track dives deep into the struggles we carry and the strength it takes to rise above them. We couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out, and we can’t wait for you all to hear it.”
The song is accompanied by a powerful video directed by Patric Ullaeus who has produced videos for ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES and won a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannprisen) for directing ‘The Serpentine Offering’ by DIMMU BORGIR. A cinematic music video featuring the band navigating a tense, war-like conflict in an urban setting, where vocalist Jake E takes the lead in a quiet, determined struggle for control.

About CYHRA
As they approach their 10th anniversary next year, CYHRA have carved out a notable place in the metal scene since their founding in 2016 by Jake E (formerly AMARANTHE) and Jesper Strömblad (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES). They were soon joined by drummer Alex Landenburg (KAMELOT, Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY), guitarist Euge Valovirta (SUBURBAN TRIBE), and bassist Peter Iwers (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES). Their debut album “Letters To Myself” was released in 2017 to glowing reviews, catapulting the group to global stages, crowned with a massive North American tour supporting SABATON and KREATOR.
Following Iwers’ departure, Valovirta also took over bass duties, and the band released their second album “No Halos In Hell” in 2019, which blended groovy metal with a poppy flair and featured the hit single ‘Out Of My Life,’ amassing about 11 million streams on Spotify. Their success continued with a European tour with BATTLE BEAST, UK dates alongside DELAIN, headline shows in select countries including Finland and Japan, and performances at major festivals like Masters of Rock, Bloodstock Open Air, Sabaton Open Air, and 70,000 Tons of Metal.
In 2020, guitarist Marcus Sunesson (RONNIE ATKINS, THE CROWN) joined, expanding the line-up. The pandemic pause allowed the band to craft their third album “The Vertigo Trigger,” released in 2023. The album’s tour brought them back to Finland to open for SMASH INTO PIECES and to headline shows in early 2024. Quietly beginning their fourth album, CYHRA ended the cycle with a Scandinavian tour with EVERGREY, leading into 2025 with two new singles, ‘Superman’ and ‘Skin From Bones.’
