RIDING NORTHBOUND – MISSING PAGES (SINGLE)

Melbourne rock outfit Riding Northbound continue to build momentum on the local scene with the release of their new single “Missing Pages,” a brooding, blues-tinged track that leans into the band’s gritty, road-worn aesthetic.

Expanding on the project’s collaborative roots, the band is made up of four Melbourne musicians: John McNamara, Shaun Klinger, Chris Rourke and Mark Degiorgio, who first came together during the isolation of the pandemic, forging a sound that blends classic rock influences with a distinctly modern, introspective edge. “Missing Pages,” released in April 2026, showcases that chemistry, with each member contributing to the layered guitar textures and tight rhythm section that underpin the song’s reflective themes of memory, distance and unfinished stories, further cementing Riding Northbound as a compelling presence in Australia’s independent rock landscape.

MARLON SHARES SLEEK DEBUT SINGLE + VIDEO BLOOD IN THE WATER

Renowned for his ongoing work with some of Australia’s most revered hip hop royalty, Darwin-hailing singer-songwriter Marlon (a.k.a. Marlon Motlop) today unveils his debut solo single, the captivating Blood In The Water, also accompanied by a sleek music video as the talented artist looks ahead to the release of his debut album later this year.

Opening with a sultry bassline set against the sound of ocean waves, Blood In The Water surges with oscillating swagger, flitting between humid beats, driving pianos and jangly percussion, effortlessly helmed by Marlon’s polished vocals and sparkling hip hop production. Inspired by some of Marlon’s early musical influences, including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Red Hot Chili Peppers, also forged alongside more modern elements of Miguel, The Weeknd and Frank Ocean, Blood In The Water also shines with thought-provoking lyricism, as Marlon explains, “Blood in the Water speaks to the age-old analogy of “out of sight, out of mind” making reference to the human habits of not acknowledging and speaking to things that do not affect us. As humans, many of us walk, play, live in multimillion dollar cities, and walk past homelessness, drug and alcohol abuse, and disadvantage. More often than not, it is the disadvantage of my people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that we remain to be silent on, in a system designed to break them.”

Penning his debut solo track in a small room in his childhood home, Blood In The Water also saw Marlon join forces with another Australian powerhouse to ultimately let this vulnerable yet passionate song take full flight. “After writing the song on my acoustic guitar in my childhood home in Darwin, I made the call to friend/brother and mentor Daniel Rankine aka Trials, to bring the track to life,” shares Marlon. “We spent one session recording instrumentation/vocals and T turned it into what we have today. He’s a superstar, and for me, he’s the most efficient producer I’ve created with, and allows my concepts/ideas to shine.”

Also armed with an accompanying music video, Blood In The Water’s sharp sonic aesthetic and lyrical content is mirrored via striking visuals. Directed by Richard Coburn (Hilltop Hoods, A.B. Original, Funkoars, Elsy Wameo), and produced by Coburn and Marlon, the video flits between moody coastal imagery, fiery hues and visceral red accents in perfect symmetry with the magnetic instrumentals and powerful emotion beating at the song’s very core. “I storyboarded the idea and pitched this to Richie Coburn who I met through shooting the The Gift video with Hilltop Hoods,” explains Marlon. “We did it over about three shoots and the fire scene was shot in the middle of winter during Adelaide’s wettest day in 25 years. We managed to incorporate some cool settings of the ocean, fire, and Adelaide City streets to align with the concept of Blood in the Water.”

“I really wanted there to be some abstract visuals in the clip to leave enough space for listener interpretation,” adds Marlon, “which was signified by the red cloak beings with no face throughout the clip. For me these represented empty/lost souls within our universe. Richie did a great job incorporating this into the final product.”

Hailing from the tropics of the Larrakia in Darwin, Northern Territory, Marlon’s transcendent pivot from a professional AFL career into revered singer-songwriter has seen him co-write songs with a horde of hip hop icons, also sharing stages with some of the greats in the process, passionately flying the flag for his musical influences as well as the story of his cultural history and identity. Whether teaming up with Urthboy, featuring on A.B. Original’s powerful 2023 single YES, 3%’s single Blak Australia Policy, Birdz & Frank Leone’s 2025 collaborative EP GIRA, or wowing on the emotive 2025 Hilltop Hoods single The Gift, Marlon’s rich vocals and socially-conscious lyricism has also seen him turn heads onstage at WOMADelaide, Bass in the Grass and Party In The Paddock, as well as previously supporting the likes of Xavier Rudd, Pete Murray and Hilltop Hoods.

“Touring with Hilltop Hoods for their national tour last month was unbelievable,” shares Marlon. “I’m forever grateful for the support from the entire Hoods family, the vibe, and atmosphere they set allowed me to just perform freely and do what I love. The crowds were insane, their fanbase is something special and the whole guest party was an awesome vibe, amazing talents and amazing people.”

Growing up in Darwin surrounded by guitars, Marlon’s musical journey began at a young age, singing and learning the guitar from his father alongside his siblings. “My dad was a student studying music in Darwin and would teach myself, my older and younger brother how to play every night,” explains Marlon. “It was tough, and a structured regime, but I’m so grateful for it because it showed the foundation of music and how to apply that to your everyday life through the principles of repetition and consistency. Around all of that, my family BBQs were singalongs, my whole family back home love music and from a traditional perspective, it’s been in our DNA for a very long time.”

“Now, I just love to write and perform,” Marlon continues. “There’s nothing like being on stage and risking it all to connect with a room, festival or arena full of strangers, it’s the best. And I’ve come to realise that for me, the music isn’t solely about me, or what I want. In some strange way songs that come to me (like Blood In The Water) feels like they’ve been handed down from somewhere, and the best part for me, is knowing how to get out of the way and letting the music shine.”

While his talents extend far beyond the creative realms, drafted at the age of 17 to the AFL and ticking off a successful career playing both at the AFL level and in state leagues, Marlon has powerfully returned to his early passion, swapping footy for the guitar; and the rest is quickly becoming history. With nods to his earlier musical icons, Marlon’s sonic creations also thrive with thought-provoking and melodically-moving lyricism, amplified further by his soulful vocals and ultimately challenging the status quo, capturing the story of his ancestral homelands and the challenges of Aboriginal Australia.

“It feels like a lot of hard work and deep listening has brought me to a place where I feel no pressure or anxiety, but just pure excitement to share my first solo work with the world,” Marlon concludes about the release today of his debut solo single. “Blood In The Water started in a tiny room back in my childhood home in Darwin years ago, and I’m excited to see how and if the world resonates with it.”

HOKKA Unleash Debut Album VIA MISERIA IV + Watch The Stunning New Video For The Title Track

HOKKA have released their highly anticipated debut album, Via Miseria IV  via Nuclear Blast Records.
To celebrate the release, the band have also unveiled the official video for the album’s haunting title track, ‘Via Miseria.’

Forged from the meeting of two towering creative forces in Finnish rock, HOKKA unites Joel Hokka, former frontman of the internationally acclaimed nu metal phenomenon Blind Channel, with Pauli Rantasalmi, the iconic guitarist and songwriter behind The Rasmus, whose influence has helped shape Nordic rock for almost three decades.

Completing the line-up is the formidable young drummer Jimi Aslak, bringing a fresh intensity and dynamic edge to the band’s cinematic, emotionally charged sound.

With Via Miseria IV, HOKKA step boldly into dark and deeply human territory — an album that explores vengeance, love, grief, and the fragile beauty born from pain. Rich in atmosphere and driven by soaring melodies, crushing riffs, and raw emotion, the record journeys into the heart’s most shadowed corners.

Each track unfolds like a bloody rose in bloom: beautiful, aching, and edged with the thorns of loss.

At the emotional core of the album lies the defining line:
“I found a beauty in the pain.”

That lyric serves as the spiritual centrepiece of Via Miseria IV — a powerful statement of resilience and emotional truth. Here, suffering is transformed into something transcendent, and vengeance becomes less about destruction and more about revelation.

Alongside today’s album release, HOKKA have shared the breathtaking official video for “Via Miseria,” a visually striking and cinematic piece that perfectly captures the album’s themes of darkness, longing, and redemption.

US pop powerhouse, singer/songwriter Daya is set to make her return this July and August for her debut Australian headline tour, bringing her bold new era to stages in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Touring in support of her long-awaited second album Til Every Petal Drops, Daya will perform a run of intimate headline dates show, following that follow a period of significant artistic evolution, coupled with new music that sees her exploring deeper themes of self-discovery, love and identity.

Daya writes songs you can see yourself in, tuning into pure emotion, and channelling her unfiltered feelings into both anthemic and intimate, genre-blurring tracks. With Til Every Petal Drops, she steps into a more experimental and expansive space, blending electronic textures, soulful melodies, and introspective lyricism into a body of work that is darker, more ethereal, and deeply human.

“I have a deeper sense of myself as an artist,” Daya says. “I’ve evolved so much and I’m exploring everything I can. I’ve embraced who I am at this point of my life, and I’m confident and excited for the world to hear it.”

Daya first broke through in 2015 with her triple-platinum debut single “Hide Away”, which propelled her into the global spotlight at just 16 years old. Less than a year later, she released her now gold-certified debut album Sit Still, Look Pretty, anchored by the platinum title track. Her voice quickly resonated across genres, most notably on her collaboration with The Chainsmokers for the global smash “Don’t Let Me Down”, which earned Diamond certification and a GRAMMY® Award for Best Dance Recording.

In the decade since, Daya has continued to push genre boundaries, collaborating with a diverse range of artists including Dom Dolla, Gryffin, RL Grime, Illenium and Anyma, while contributing music to major cultural touchpoints such as the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

A dynamic live performer, Daya has graced stages from Coachella to Lollapalooza and performed everywhere from The White House to packed venues across Asia and North America. Her connection to Australian audiences runs particularly deep – her 2025 collaboration with Dom Dolla “Dreamin’” earned multiple ARIA nominations, taking home the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release and cementing her place in the hearts of Australian dance music fans.

Daya’s return to Australia promises a compelling new live show, capturing both the emotional depth and sonic evolution of this new chapter.

QUEENIE  GIFTS US ‘PEARL NECKLACES’  + OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

If there was a God, she would wear false eyelashes and gogo boots. Today Queenie releases ‘Pearl Necklaces’ – a tongue-in-cheek take down of toxic masculinity and modern dating culture. Alongside the release is an official music video, captured entirely on super 8 film you can watch here. ‘Pearl Necklaces’ is the first sip of a new era for Queenie as she steps away from the ‘Country’ box she once found herself in, and into a hazy, campy, alt-pop-meets-soft-rock daydream.

It’s hard to pin Queenie down. Her powerful, gripping vocals are reminiscent of Joan Jett or Florence Welch, while her silky songwriting sensibilities lean closer to the likes of Kate Bush, Weyes Blood or Bon Iver. This, combined with a larger than life stage presence and lyrics that make you laugh as often as they make you cry, highlights Queenie as an entirely singular artist in the Australian music landscape.

‘Pearl Necklaces’ is Queenie at her quirkiest. The track arrives with a sharp, tongue-in-cheek bite; a subversive, swaggering moment that cuts through with wit and precision, skewering ego and entitlement with a knowing smirk. It’s a comment on the way society excuses men’s poor behaviour, and how, similarly, religion often excuses atrocities as simply being “God’s will”. Is God even a good guy? Or is he just like the others?

“We recorded in Mollongghip in an old church. It started out as an acoustic demo on my little tip shop nylon string guitar. I wanted to write something a bit silly – it’s a dig at the men who think they’re Gods… I reckon if God was mortal like them, he probably would be another finance bro, coffee snob, boat shoes no socks kinda operator who likes to think he’s king dingaling. But truly he wouldn’t know how to talk to women, he’d be problematic and he’d gamble too much.”

Alongside the single is a full length music video, captured entirely on super 8 film. You can watch the music video here.

ABOUT QUEENIE: Raised on Lutruwita/Tasmania’s vast, open landscapes and now based in Naarm/Melbourne, Queenie’s work carries a sense of expansiveness, self assurance and feminine power.

Known for her emotionally charged songwriting and electrifying live performances, she continues to build a reputation as a singular force within Australia’s alternative landscape. Queenie’s songwriting has already garnered national attention, with her single Not Divine shortlisted for APRA 2025 Song of the Year that also saw her take out the APRA 2026 Professional Development Award in the Country/Americana genre.

With performances at Panama, Beyond the Valley and Party in the Paddock festivals under her belt + recently lending her powerful vocals to Naarm punk band Private Function at their final show, it’s clear that Queenie’s musical prowess cannot be confined by scene or genre. She is here to be heard and the people will listen.

Queenie’s debut album New Moult earned a place in the ARIA Top 20 and established Queenie as one of Australia’s most compelling new voices. With this new release, she shakes off expectations and takes the first step into her truest self; fully formed and ready to show the world what she can really do.

‘Pearl Necklaces’ is available on all major streaming platforms now.

From hardcore to metal and everything in between, Nashville’s ORTHODOX have built a name on their fervent live shows. Forming in 2011, ORTHODOX dropped their debut studio album End Of My Wit in 2013, and most recently turned heads and snapped necks with their fifth full-length album, 2025’s A Door Left Open. A band who have truly made nu feel new again, ORTHODOX have taken innovation to a whole new level, embracing nods to Converge’s start-and-stop metallic hardcore, Korn’s breakdowns, Slipknot’s fury and the grooves, and the molten alloy of Knocked Loose and Harm’s Way, channeling it through their own signature style. A unique but undeniable powerhouse, ORTHODOX previously performed down under, supporting Stray From The Path for their final performances in 2025, and have previously shared stages alongside Dying Wish, Spite, Stick To Your Guns and many, many more.

Melbourne heavies HEAVENSGATE catapulted out of the pandemic years and firmly into view via their raw hardcore-meets-metalcore intensity fused through a modern lens. Visceral in name and in nature, HEAVENSGATE have ticked off tours across Australia and internationally alongside the likes of The Amity Affliction, August Burns Red, We Came As Romans and Currents, while their debut 2023 EP AND ALL I LOVED, I LOVED ALONE and sophomore 2025 EP A HEART IS A HEAVY BURDEN proved that lightning can indeed strike twice. Currently on the road extensively in North America, HEAVENSGATE will arrive back in Australia later this year sharpened and ready to wow hometown audiences.

The Deni Ute Muster is consistently one of the top ‘bucket list’ events in Australia and annually attracts close to 20,000 people of all ages to celebrate all things Australian and, of course, the iconic ‘ute’. The Deni Ute Muster has amazing community support with more than 1,000 volunteers mobilising each year to help put on the event which donates close to $100,000 back to community groups.

Headlining the 2026 Deni Ute Muster is international superstar, Tones And I.

As an inimitable vocalist, clever lyricist, deft producer, and inventive creator, Tones And I stretches the scope of pop music with unpredictable and undeniable anthems of her own design. Taking the helm, Tones And I personally shapes her vision by not only writing and performing but also producing and directing visuals.

Since exploding onto the global scene in 2019 as a busker from the Mornington Peninsula, Australia, she has smashed records, garnered multiple awards, sold out tours, surpassed 12 billion streams and reached multi-platinum heights around the world. Her breakout hit Dance Monkey remained at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for 24 weeks and is 20 x Platinum in Australia. The song is 6 x platinum in the US, is the most Shazamed song of all time, minted her as the first female artist to reach 3 billion streams on Spotify with one song, and has consistently held a spot in the Top 10 Most-Streamed Songs of All-Time on Spotify. Her 2019 EP, The Kids Are Coming, crashed the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 and is certified Gold. Her full-length debut, Welcome To The Madhouse, toppled the ARIA Album Chart in 2021 and among five career ARIA Awards, her single, Cloudy Day, closed out 2022 as ARIA’s Song of the Year. In 2024, Tones And I released her highly anticipated sophomore album Beautifully Ordinary which also debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and lead single Dance With Me won the ARIA for Best Video.

Beyond selling out shows on multiple continents, Tones And I has graced the world’s biggest stages and has delivered stunning performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, TODAY, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, Good Morning America, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and many more.

In October 2025, Tones And I joined forces with David Guetta and Teddy Swims for the hit single Gone Gone Gone which landed at #1 on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart and Top 10 at US Pop Radio. The single is a soaring soul-pop tribute to the powerful pull of toxic love, driven by undeniable dance floor rhythms and clap-along gospel energy.

Lee Kernaghan’s music rumbles across the Australian landscape like a souped-up ute belting out a cloud of dust. For more than three decades, this modern-day bush balladeer has bridged the gap between country’s classic storytelling and a new breed of arena-rock showmanship.

From the moment his debut album, The Outback Club, made waves in 1992, Kernaghan has channeled the heart and grit of regional Australia with tracks that have become anthems; Boys From The Bush, Hat Town, The Outback Club and She’s My Ute among them.

His list of accolades reads like a career-spanning highlight reel: 13 studio albums (all Gold, Platinum, or multi-Platinum), 40 chart-toppers, and four ARIA Awards, including the Outstanding Achievement Award for his seminal work Spirit of the Anzacs – the highest-selling Australian album (all genres) of 2015.

Lee Kernaghan holds 38 Golden Guitars and has been inducted into both the Australian Country Music Roll of Renown and the CMC Hall of Fame and we are thrilled to have the man himself back on the Muster stage for 2026.

Tyler Braden is many things all at once. The Platinum-certified, Alabama-born and Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist is a classic Country troubadour whose storytelling strikes an intimate chord. At the same time, he’s an energetic showman who can rile up a crowd with a blast of electric guitar and a stadium-size singalong. His voice booms with soul, his riffs rock with gusto, and his songwriting teems with truth. That’s why he’s quietly asserted himself as a “country powerhouse,” according to American Songwriter.

Throughout high school in Slapout, Alabama, Tyler transformed into a formidable performer by captivating local crowds with marathon cover gigs. Years later, holding down a job as a firefighter, he wrote and recorded at every chance possible. After introducing himself with Little Red Wine, he gained traction with a series of singles and 2021’s What Do They Know EP.

Two years later, he served up the Neon Grave EP, highlighted by the standout Try Losing One, which catapulted to #1 on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Weekend Countdown. However, he really leveled up on 2024’s “DEVIL YOU KNOW.” Not only did the latter eclipse 335 MILLION global streams, it also earned a PLATINUM-certification from the RIAA. Billboard hailed its “automatic authenticity,” going on to attest, “The sound is dangerous.” Additionally, he received acclaim from People, Taste of Country, Country Now, and more. He notably lit up venues with everyone from Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, and Dierks Bentley to Brothers Osborne, Warren Zeiders, and Darius Rucker.

With nearly 1 BILLION global career streams, countless SOLD-OUT shows, and releasing 2025’s introspective debut album, devil and a prayer, momentum carries the powerhouse vocalist full-steam ahead into 2026 as he steps into his next project, due in the first half of 2026.

One of Australia’s most successful musical exports, Sheppard (siblings George, Amy and Emma) have completed four distinct album eras – and they are ready for more. The Brisbane-based trio first captured the world’s attention with their debut album Bombs Away and the infectiously catchy Geronimo, a global hit that has now been certified 36xPlatinum across the world.

With a renewed sound and a bigger creative vision than ever before, the band’s latest single, Beautiful Nothing, marks the beginning of an expansive new era that reintroduces Sheppard at their most confident, evolved and globally focused yet.

Across their career, Sheppard have performed to sold-out audiences on five continents and shared some of the world’s biggest stages – from Justin Bieber’s World Tour to the AFL Grand Final, State of Origin, Eurovision – Australia Decides and more. They had their fourth ARIA Top 10, Zora, in 2024 and co-wrote Australia’s 2025 Eurovision entry, Milkshake Man.

Now, Sheppard are stepping into a bold new chapter with their brand-new single, Beautiful Nothing, and with a renewed sound and a bigger creative vision than ever before, this new single marks the beginning of an expansive new era that reintroduces Sheppard at their most confident, evolved and globally focused yet.

Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley, whose individual and collective footprints in Australian music are deeply respected and have contributed richly to the nation’s musical landscape, are venturing out on the road once again, bringing their songs and stories to fans across Australia on their Together Alone Tour 2026, which is making its first stop at the Deni Ute Muster.

On paper, a rock musician and a country singer might not seem like a natural fit, but their chemistry makes it work effortlessly. Their styles blend seamlessly, creating spontaneous moments that are one-of-a-kind and never repeated.

Those musical chameleons with a wicked sense of humour, Furnace and the Fundamentals are also confirmed to join the Muster party. For those who haven’t see the band in full flight, they’re tight, energetic, engaging and guaranteed to live up to their reputation as the most epic, ridiculous and energetic party band ever.

Playing an eclectic blend of the best songs ever written, Furnace and the Fundamentals deliver them with all the character of the original and twice the energy, Furnace and the band give the people what they want – better than they remembered it!

With combined sales of over one billion records, their immense repertoire spans countless hits, performed with their incredible musicianship and a stunning stage presence. From The Beatles to Beyonce, Queen to Daft Punk, The Lion King to Dirty Dancing and everything in between – this band is unlike anything you’ve seen before and guaranteed to have the audience up on their feet singing and dancing along.

There is nothing stopping Casey Barnes! 2025 kicked off with gold for the Australian Country Music headliner, receiving the Golden Guitar for Contemporary Country Album of the Year for his chart-topping album Mayday after 2024 saw the Gold Coast local dominate the radio charts and take his live show global.

Barnes’ award winning, 5th studio album Mayday hit the airwaves in late May 2025 and debuted on the ARIA Charts with #1 Australian Country Album, #2 Australian Album and #2 Overall Country Album. This huge accomplishment driven by the fans has also kept Mayday in the ARIA Top 20 Country Charts since release with singles from the album such as Never Give Up On A Good Time, Boys Like Me and Summer Nights all had their moments topping the Australian Country Radio Charts. However, it was the title track Mayday which dominated the charts holding the #1 spot for four consecutive weeks.

Casey’s catalogue has amassed over 65 million combined streams world-wide and his music is a fixture on television both in Australia (Light It Up was used for the AFL season launch TV advertisements and Get To Know Ya featured on the Farmer Wants A Wife launch campaign) and the USA (We’re Good Together on Live With Kelly and Mark; and Never Give Up On A Good Time featuring in the CBS promos for NYE Live: Nashville’s Big Bash).

Amber’s storytelling captures the heart of everyday Australian life – love, loss, family, and resilience – from upbeat anthems to heartfelt ballads. Her 2025 singles earned Country Town Award nominations for Female Artist of the Year and Single of the Year, a CBS television sync, and more than 500,000 streams. In 2026, Tori makes her international breakthrough on the Spotlight Stage at CMA Fest in Nashville, followed by Country Jam in Wisconsin and Country Calling in the UK.

Hailing from Newcastle, NSW, Austin Mackay has quickly made a name for himself as one of Australia’s most exciting new acts in the country/folk scene. His songs weave heartfelt storytelling with the grit and soul of modern rock, drawing inspiration from artists like Chris Stapleton, John Mayer, and Gregory Alan Isakov. The result is an authentic sound that’s as emotional as it is powerful, redefining the genre both in Australia and abroad.

2025 was a landmark year for Austin. He hit the road with Max McNown (USA), joining him across both his Australia/NZ and US tours and back home, he wrapped up the year supporting Jackson Dean (USA) on his Australian & NZ run.

Austin completed his own Australian capital city headline tour in August 2025, playing to packed rooms around the country in celebration of his single The Wheel. With millions of streams and a loyal fanbase behind him, Austin is now gearing up for a string of new releases, a debut US headline run, and what’s shaping up to be his biggest year yet.

Deni Ute Muster General Manager, Vicky Lowry said “We’re incredibly excited to present our artist announcement for the 2026 Deni Ute Muster, especially following what was a record-breaking, sold-out event in 2025. Each year, we work hard to curate a lineup that reflects the spirit of the Muster, bringing together iconic artists, emerging talent, and unforgettable live experiences for our community and visitors.

“The Deni Ute Muster has always been about more than just music. It’s about celebrating Australian culture, connecting people from all walks of life, and creating something truly unique in regional Australia. This artist announcement is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to reveal what else we have in store.

“With strong early ticket demand already, we’re encouraging patrons to get in early and be part of what’s shaping up to be another incredible year in the Ute Capital of the World.”

Back in 1999, a group of community minded locals came together with the aim to start a rural themed festival to bring visitors to Deniliquin, a beautiful vibrant town on the edge of the outback, which was struggling with a crippling drought.

The first Deni Play on the Plains Festival, as it was known at the time, took place in October 1999, on the flattest, natural, open plains on earth, and with “ute culture” being an intrinsic part of Deniliquin, it was unanimous that it would play a major part of the festival and hence the Deni Ute Muster burst into the national psyche.

In its first year, the Deni Ute Muster had approximately 5,000 patrons and set a new Guinness World Record for the greatest number of legally paraded utes at 2,839 – a record which still stands today. Since 1999 the Deni Ute Muster has become the region’s biggest tourist drawcard and a celebration of all things Australian.

The Deni Ute Muster is proudly supported by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

Another bold step in Northlane’s evolution, “Evian” shapeshifts through a duality of euphoric trance and seismic breakdowns. The song expands and contracts as its affecting lyrics explore facing trauma to be better for the ones you love.
Frontman Marcus Bridge opens up about the track: “Evian is about self-improvement through confronting trauma then finding your way back to someone from a healthier place. DIABLO® UNLEASHES REWARD THE SCARS  NEW VIDEO AND SONG FROM KOЯN
WATCH THE REWARD THE SCARS MUSIC VIDEO
New Original Song Debuts Ahead of Global Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Launch,
Marking the Legendary Band’s First New Music in Over Four Years

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today debuted a music video for Reward the Scars, an original new song created by Korn, the multi-platinum, GRAMMY Award-winning band whose influence has shaped heavy music for over three decades. The song, released alongside the new Diablo® IV expansion, Lord of Hatred™, is Korn’s first new music in over four years. Channeling the emotional weight, intensity, and darkness that both brands are known for, Reward the Scars explores what remains after the fight: pain, survival, and what that ultimately turns you into.

Long recognized for their raw, confessional songwriting and willingness to confront themes of pain, trauma, and transformation, Korn bring a perspective that naturally aligns with Diablo’s universe, thus making the collaboration feel like an extension of their core identity.

The song was debuted live during Korn’s recent set at Sick New World, offering fans an early glimpse of the prodigious track. The official music video builds on that, bringing Diablo’s world to life through a visual lens defined by dread, power, and resistance.

“I’ve played Diablo for years, so getting to step into that world creatively felt natural,” said Jonathan Davis, Korn frontman. “I’ve always connected to the darkness in the game and the idea of confronting what lives beneath the surface –– that’s something Korn has explored in our music from the beginning. ‘Reward the Scars’ came out of our own writing sessions as a new Korn song, and it became clear pretty quickly that it was a natural fit for Diablo.”

“This collaboration came together naturally—Korn and Diablo live in that space of confronting darkness head-on,” said Kevin Bjelajac, VP of Brand & Creative Marketing at Blizzard. “With Lord of Hatred, we’re telling a story about consequence, choice, and what it means to embrace—or resist—the pull of evil. ‘Reward the Scars’ captures that spirit perfectly.”

The Reward the Scars music video is available on both Diablo and Korn official channels and you can watch it here:

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, launching today, is the second expansion to Diablo IV and the climactic conclusion to the Age of Hatred saga. As the hour of reckoning approaches, players are drawn into a final confrontation with Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, whose influence now threatens to consume Sanctuary entirely. What began as an act to contain evil now comes due—forcing players to face the consequences of that choice and determine the fate of a world on the brink.

DUE FOR RELEASE JULY 17 VIA SHARPTONE RECORDS

STREAM SINGLE | WATCH VIDEO

TOURING AUSTRALIA THIS MAY MELBOURNE, SYDNEY & PERTH SHOWS SOLD OUT!

A lot has changed in the six years since Liverpool based alternative quartet Loathe released their seismic sophomore album I Let It In And It Took Everything. An album that not only changed the course of their careers but changed the course of heavy music at large, its success has seen the band sell out tours globally both in arenas as support for legendary legacy acts and as demand-stealing headliners in their own right, alongside priority placements on festival stages worldwide. As a statement, the album drew a line in the sand as a forebearer for the wave of expansive, atmospheric heavy music that continues to permeate the mainstream to this day. Six years later, Loathe are ready to upend the conventions of contemporary metal once again with their long awaited third album, A Stranger To You.

Due for release on July 17th 2026, the album takes the formula that the band helped to build for modern alternative music and reshapes it; crafting a brand new world that integrates disparate global influences to confound listeners and sharpen the senses. Easily the band’s most sonically adventurous work to date, each moment has been designed to ensure that the six year space between releases has been more than worth the wait, with the familiar Loathe sonic palette expanded by hypnotic shades of psychedelia, immersive synth tapestries, genuinely unique percussive patterns, and an attitude to sound design that sets A Stranger To You apart from all contemporaries. With expectation and hope around the release reaching an all-time high, it would’ve been simple for Loathe to take the easy route and recreate the winning formula from their last release. Instead, A Stranger To You is 14 tracks of staggeringly complex, but rewarding beyond all measure alternative music that will leave the listener uncovering layers of artistic brilliance long after the first play.

Following on from last year’s epic single Gifted Every Strength, Loathe today unveil the second taste of A Stranger To You in the form of new single and video, Revenant. Already a live favourite that has caused devastation across multiple continents, Revenant opens to glistening waves of synth, before descending into a low-slung, rhythmic display of power. Vocalist Kadeem France’s vocals shred through the track’s shapeshifting arrangement; at one moment parallel with elements of funk, before metamorphosing into an exhibition of the band’s individual musical excellence that has the power to rewire the consciousness. Featuring NOWHERE2RUN and Code Orange’s Jami Morgan and Eric “Shade” Balderose, Revenant is a defiant, singular statement from one of global alternative music’s most uncategorisable bands – a band that’s ready to unleash one of the year’s most surprising and sonically enriching albums.

A Stranger To You is, in many ways, a rarity in today’s single-driven musical landscape, opting to return to the gold standard of a methodically laid out, interconnected track sequence that provides an experience best consumed from start to finish. That experience will be open to all from July 17th; a chance to delve headfirst into the artistic evolution and creative rebirth of Loathe on A Stranger To You, an album that is destined to take its place at the pinnacle of heavy music’s pantheon of generational works.

Loathe’s first-ever Australian headline tour joined by special guests Static Dress kicks off on May 9. The Perth, Melbourne and Sydney shows are all sold out. Tickets are selling fast for the remainder shows.

Single out now via R&R

Listen Now

Brooklyn-based electronic artist Jigitz has released his highly anticipated new single, ‘car crash’ featuring Australian-British vocalist Charlotte Plank – debuting the track live at Coachella.

‘car crash’ arrives on the heels of jigitz’s breakout year, continuing his signature blend of emotional songwriting and high-tempo, garage-inspired production. The track explores the electric chaos of a whirlwind relationship, pairing a distinctive vocal presence with the kind of tight, frenetic energy that has made jigitz one of the most sought-after names on the dance floor circuit.

The Coachella performance marked another milestone in a run that has seen jigitz’s momentum accelerate rapidly. His Fall 2025 headline tour, a sold-out 31-date run across the US, with stops at Webster Hall (NYC) and Don Quixote (LA), helped drive his single ‘Tell You Straight’ onto the Billboard Dance Charts for multiple months, with the track now nearing 100 million streams. He also wrapped up a sold-out AU/NZ tour in January, with stops in Auckland, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.

Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, jigitz has built a devoted following through his in-the-round live sets: immersive, pulse-raising performances built for the stickiest of dancefloors. Earning co-signs from Ninajirachi, Tiesto, Pete Tong, Chris Lake, Chris Lorenzo.

CAVS  releases sophomore album, Sojourn

To celebrate the release of Sojourn, join him and his band for a one-off night in Naarm/Melbourne @ Thornbury Theatre, 22 May

Tickets on sale here

Album out now via p(doom) records

Listen To Album
Today, Michael ‘CAVS’ Cavanagh, best known as the drummer for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, shares Sojourn, his second solo album out now on p(doom) records. Composed of ten instrumental tracks, Sojourn presents a wordless narrative shaped by Cavanagh’s long-standing interest in spiritual jazz, progressive rock and Krautrock, while moving beyond traditional genre boundaries. Influenced by artists such as Herbie Hancock, Alice Coltrane, Tony Williams, Billy Cobham, and Harvey Mason, Sojourn emphasizes atmosphere, groove and composition over technical display. Cavanagh plans to perform the album live with the contributing musicians later this year.

Candiru‘, the first track to be shared from the album, was accompanied by a video directed by Hayden Somerville, and the second single ‘First Light‘ arrived alongside a video directed by Jackson Devereux. The latter was praised by The New York Times, who called the song “…a breezy, upbeat tune that features the flutist and guitarist Adam Halliwell in colloquy with himself across multiple tracks, teasing out possibilities as Cavanagh’s beat hints at hip-hop, funk and jazz.”

Unlike the fantasy-driven storytelling found in some of his work with King Gizzard, Sojourn builds its world entirely through music. The album follows an imagined journey, using shifting moods, textures and rhythmic structures to suggest exploration, confrontation, and transformation without lyrics.

Cavanagh began developing Sojourn during the recording of his 2021 solo debut, CAVS, a percussion-only album. Determined to expand his musical palette, he took on the roles of composer, arranger and musical director for the new project, despite not playing pitched instruments. Early demos were constructed from sampled bass, drums, and synthesisers, which were later expanded through collaboration.

Key collaborators include Jim Rindfleish (Mildlife), who co-arranged the material, alongside a group of Melbourne-based musicians: Adam Halliwell (flute/guitar), Siwei Wong (harp), Archibald Pommelhorse (saxophone), Selene Messinis (keyboards), Robbin Poppins (percussion), and King Gizzard bandmate Joey Walker (bass). Sessions combined structured takes with free improvisation, later edited and arranged to retain a cohesive, live-sounding feel.

The limited edition 180g ‘Clear Orange’ LP is available for pre-order now via p(doom) records. The record itself is manufactured by Good Neighbor and made from 100% recyclable injection-moulded PET plastic, not traditional PVC. The record comes packaged in a 12″ jacket with printed inner sleeve and housed in a thick brown paper sleeve in lieu of shrinkwrap. Pre-order the album HERE.

CAVS will be celebrating the release of Sojourn in Naarm/Melbourne, AUS at Thornbury Theatre with Glyconic on May 22, 2026. Tickets are available for purchase here.

TIM CLARK ‘MEDIOCRE ENDING’ SINGLE

Melbourne singer-songwriter Tim Clark releases “Mediocre Ending” on April 27 on all digital platforms. The track is the fourth single from his debut album, Ghosts of the D1 Drain, out June 22 on digital platforms and CD, following previous singles “Hey Everybody”, “Phantom Pain” and “Oh Dylan” — all of which received airplay on ABC Country and community radio across Australia.

“Mediocre Ending” is a quietly devastating piece of contemporary folk, setting lush orchestral arrangements against an unflinching examination of ordinary life.

The song’s origins lie in Clark’s years working in aged care. Watching residents navigate the final chapters of their lives, he was struck by the brutal randomness of how those stories ended — some exits celebrated, others barely noticed — and by how little control any of us ultimately have over the shape of a life.

“There are so many songs about reaching for your dreams and overcoming obstacles,” Clark says, “and so few about what the reality is for the majority of people: a gradual resignation to a smaller life than the one we’re conditioned to want. It goes back to Thoreau’s idea of most people living in quiet desperation. Some people hear the song as a celebration of mediocrity. It’s the opposite — it’s a celebration of the resilience of the soul in the face of life’s harshness.”

Musically, the track finds Clark threading the emotional directness of Randy Newman or Joni Mitchell through a sound rooted in the folk-tinged easy listening of Gordon Lightfoot and John Denver — warm and unhurried, but with real weight underneath. Recorded at Rolling Stock Recording Rooms in Collingwood and produced by Myles Mumford, the song features Louis King on acoustic guitar and piano, Patrick Wilson on drums and bass, and a string quartet — Sarah Curro, Jenny Khafagi, Gabrielle Halloran and Michelle Wood — drawn from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Single: “Mediocre Ending” — out April 27, all digital platforms

Album: Ghosts of the D1 Drain — out June 22, digital platforms and CD

Album launch: Saturday June 13, Brunswick Artists Bar, Melbourne

ABOUT TIM CLARK After years of working in other fields, Tim Clark found his way to songwriting in his late 30s, when a sudden, intense flurry of output left him with enough material for an album. After six years in production, the result, Ghosts of the D1 Drain, is due for release in 2026.

KEEPING NORTH ‘SINGAPORE’ SINGLE

The new re-mixed single from KEEPING NORTH’s album ‘Demons & Dreamers’

He was a junkie living in London, trying to get home to Australia, via Singapore.  She was a junkie living in Brisbane making her way to him, via Singapore. They cross over. He doesn’t make it past Customs. She doesn’t make it past his front door.

The Capital News review of ‘Demons & Dreamers’ tells it like it is….. ‘don’t expect to be uplifted by this album – it’s full of dark moments, broken souls and disturbing undercurrents. But it’s an exquisitely crafted piece of work, filled with powerful, moving songs. There is a real sense of despair in songs like Singapore.’

Says songwriter Steve Tyson, ‘despite the darkness, which I’m drawn to write about, this is essentially a love song. It just doesn’t have a happy ending…’

The song is a remixed version, featuring the band’s new singer Jeanie McClymont.

MORE ABOUT KEEPING NORTH: Songs can come from anywhere. From adventures, from history, from matters of the heart. Most of the songs on Keeping North’s album ‘Demons & Dreamers’ come from the imagination of songwriter Steve Tyson. Little pieces of fiction, other peoples’ made-up stories. But perhaps inspired by the real world and lives well-lived.

Tyson was listening to The Delines and the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss collaboration when the songs from ‘Demons & Dreamers’ started to evolve. Also on high rotation on his car’s CD player was early Joe Tex, and Albert King.

Together with guitarist Ian Shawsmith and drummer Stu Hoffman, Tyson grew up in the Australian city Brisbane at the time of the notorious Fitzgerald Inquiry into corruption, playing gigs in clubs run by petty gangsters and bent cops.

The characters that frequented those venues provided plenty of lyrical fodder for these songs written many years later. Pedal steel player Jeff Spencer heard those stories and wanted in. But the need for sweetness, to balance out the grit in the tales, comes from singer Jeanie McClymont The end result is a set of alt.country tunes laced with the blues, tinged with soul, and informed by folk music.

Tyson has long been regarded as an important songwriter in the Australian landscape, critically acclaimed for his solo work. Said respected critic Noel Mengel (former chief music writer for the Courier Mail), ’these are songs that are built to last. Powerful, passionate songcraft that is worthy of your time.’

DIMMU BORGIR Unleash Ferocious New Single & Video ‘Ascent’ + New Album GRAND SERPENT RISING Out On May 22

Norwegian extreme metal titans DIMMU BORGIR have officially announced their long-awaited new studio album, Grand Serpent Rising, set for release on May 22 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Returning to the studio in Gothenburg, the band once again joined forces with acclaimed producer Fredrik Nordström, the mastermind behind some of DIMMU BORGIR’s most revered works, including Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Death Cult Armageddon. The result is a record that captures the band’s signature blend of symphonic grandeur and unrelenting aggression, while pushing their sound into darker, more commanding territory.

Today, DIMMU BORGIR unveil the second single from the album: ‘Ascent’. Striking like lightning across a frozen northern sky, the song is a ferocious statement of intent—aggressive, vicious, and twistedly beautiful. ‘Ascent’ delivers a chilling reminder that DIMMU BORGIR remain at the height of their powers, embodying the intensity, menace, and authenticity that have defined their legacy.

The track arrives alongside a visually arresting, “in your face” music video that amplifies the song’s raw energy and atmospheric darkness.

Pre-order Grand Serpent Rising: https://dimmuborgir.bfan.link/grandserpentrising

Shagrath comments on the track: ” Musically, ‘Ascent’ is more ferocious and direct than the first single, ‘Ulvgjeld & Blodsødel.’ Together, the two tracks showcase the musical scope of the album in a great way. From the outset, we’ve said that Grand Serpent Rising stands as one of our most diverse records to date, and these songs underline exactly that.”

Silenoz adds: ” ‘Ascent’ is about the grand serpent rising through your spinal cord. It is not a pretty experience but it is a necessary one – in order to reach higher consciousness and levels of understanding. It’s a voyage of transformation and surrender.

‘Only he who knows fear but overcomes it can be fearless; he who sees the abyss with pride. He who sees the abyss with eagle eyes; he who grasps the abyss with eagle claws; he is courageous.’ – Nietzsche “

The album comes in following formats:

CHIMERS RELEASE SPLIT SINGLE WITH CHICAGO’S FACS AHEAD OF EAST COAST JOINT TOUR

“A PUMMELLING 2 MINUTE ONE CHORD WONDER REFLECTING ON THE CHAOS OF THE MODERN WORLD”, THE NEW CHIMERS TUNE “RED CHAIR” IS FIRST NEW MUSIC FROM WOLLONGONG’S FINEST SINCE THE RELEASE OF THEIR SECOND ALBUM THROUGH TODAY IN 2024

Chimers rounded out 2025 with a fruitful USA / UK as support to The Saints ’73-’78 where the critics were duly impressed:

“Chimers, an ex-Irish pat and stand-up drummer from Wollongong, and man they were pretty fucking great as well. Damn straight they were: echoes of Shellac and Seam and all those impassioned one-chord noise merchants from the early 90s, blood on the fretboards and sullen, sweet moments of tenderness interposed between the noise” – Everett True

“The pair’s chemistry was magnetic, summoning Shellac-like angularity and a humidity of sound that belied their two-piece configuration. Chimers’ final track, 3AM, sealed the deal with roars of appreciation from an already buzzing room.” – Rock Shot Magazine

After taking a break from writing and recording new material Chimers are hitting the road with New York’s Helmet in Melbourne and Brisbane and Chicago’s FACS in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and their hometown of Wollongong.

“By the time they closed with ‘Red Chair’, the room was fully ignited. It was a blistering finish to a set that didn’t just support the headliner—it elevated the entire night. As a second act ahead of Helmet, Chimers felt less like a stepping stone and more like an essential part of the experience.” – Tarynne Ambrosi, livewire.com.au

Chimers – Red Chair: “A pummelling 2 minute one chord wonder reflecting on the chaos of the modern world, just when you think things are bad they seem to somehow get worse. The song basically wrote itself, Binx started playing the beat in the jam room, I jumped in with the rhythm guitar part and not many changes were made after that first time we played it through.

“12XU Records head honcho Gerard Cosloy has in his infinite wisdom decided to release the song on a 7” Vinyl record, the bonus being it’s a split with Chicago based noise merchants FACS” – Padraic

TARJA Releases heavy new single “I Don’t Care” featuring Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth

Tarja has release “I Don’t Care,” the second single from her upcoming studio album “Frisson Noir”. On this uncompromisingly heavy track, she joins forces with Dani Filth, the iconic voice of Cradle of Filth, uniting two of metal’s most instantly recognisable and expressive voices. Tarja’s soaring soprano collides with Dani Filth’s razor-sharp screams, creating a striking interplay between beauty and brutality, elegance and chaos.

“I Don’t Care” stands out as a fierce declaration of independence, it rejects imposed expectations and confronts the illusions society creates around morality, belief and success.

Musically, “I Don’t Care” moves between intense symphonic elements and heavy, modern metal power while being dramatic and unapologetically dark.

“I always believed in my dreams, and I have never allowed anyone to direct my life choices. I don’t necessarily fit in, but I don’t care. I have always admired how Dani has created a brand and image for his band Cradle of Filth, and for himself, that stand out from the rest. I truly believe he is perfect for this song, where I praise individualism and simply don’t give a shit about what others have to say”. – Tarja

The official music video, released today alongside the single, captures this clash of worlds visually, bringing both artists together on screen and translating the song’s dark energy into a powerful, performance-driven setting.

“Frisson Noir” reflects Tarja’s ongoing dialogue between cinematic orchestration, classical heritage, and the power and intensity of contemporary metal. The album moves between intimate piano passages, dramatic orchestral textures, and powerful guitar-driven moments

At the center of the soundscape is Tarja’s distinctive voice, moving effortlessly between fragile emotional expression and operatic power. Around it, orchestral arrangements, choirs, and layered instrumentation create a cinematic world that

constantly shifts between darkness and light, exploring deeply human themes such as fear, beauty, nostalgia, resilience, defiance, transformation, identity, disappearance, independence, trust, and perseverance.

Across 10 tracks, Tarja delivers intensity, emotion, and strength, joined by special guest Dani Filth (Cradle of Filth), Apocalyptica, Marko Hietala (ex-Nightwish), and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers). Mixed by GRAMMY-winning producer Neal

Avron (Linkin Park, Skillet, Disturbed), the album blends a modern, hard-hitting sound with the dramatic and emotional elements that define Tarja’s unmistakable metal identity.

About Tarja: Since launching her solo career, Tarja has consistently charted internationally and built one of the most loyal fanbases in the genre, willing to follow Tarja in every new adventure.

Across more than two decades, Tarja has released a highly successful catalogue, reaching the Top 10 of multiple European album charts and establishing herself as an artist of rare consistency and presence.

Her live performances have become a defining element of her career: touring worldwide and appearing as a celebrated guest at major metal festivals, Tarja creates a powerful and emotional

connection with audiences, turning every show into a memorable experience

Riding the momentum of the record announcement, Bolan keeps the energy high and the buzz building with the release of his second single “Anything But You” – giving fans another glimpse of what’s ahead and another hook that sticks!

After four decades as a driving force behind Skid Row, bassist and songwriter Rachel Bolan steps forward with his first solo album under the name BOLAN.

Produced by multi-Grammy winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Skid Row, Rush, Evanescence, Alice In Chains) The album began as a simple conversation between friends.

What started casually quickly evolved into a record that would ultimately define Bolan’s voice as both a songwriter and storyteller.

“Gargoyle of the Garden State is not a project, it is every bit of my soul,” says Bolan. “Like me, it knows when to be serious and also knows where the party is.”

The record delivers several standout moments, including a surprising cover of Oasis’ “Rock And Roll Star,” reimagined through Bolan’s distinctive lens.

Expanding well beyond his role as a bassist, Bolan performs most instruments himself, shaping the record from the ground up.

Drawing on influences ranging from Brit Pop and Glam to Punk Rock and New Wave, the album reflects a lifetime immersed in music.

“Gargoyle of the Garden State” also features an impressive lineup of guests, including Corey Taylor, Danko Jones, Nuno Bettencourt, Damon Johnson, Steve Conte,

and fellow Skid Row members Scotti Hill, Dave “Snake” Sabo and Rob Hammersmith.

The album is out on June 12th and will be available as CD Digipak, LP Gatefold, as well as digital and download.

AZURE RYDER RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO ‘NORTH STAR’ + ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM EVEN FLOWERS CAN BRUISE

Azure Ryder returns with her new single and video ‘North Star’, alongside the announcement of her debut album, Even Flowers Can Bruise, set for release on 25 September.

Azure Ryder has built a reputation for her distinct vocal style and honest songwriting. Her music blends elements of folk and country with a melancholic and deeply nostalgic ‘vintage’ feeling dream pop, with a focus on emotion and cinematic-storytelling. ‘North Star’ introduces the next phase of her sound and writing. The track centres on love — how it’s given, received, and what it means to hold onto it. Carried by sweeping melodies and her unmistakable vocal warmth, ‘North Star’ feels both celestial and deeply rooted — a reflection of the sonic world Azure continues to build.

Azure Ryder (on ‘North Star’): “This song is what I hope it feels like for me to love you. An ode to who I am, the way I give my heart and the way I hope it is received. Love I’ll always reach for, lover I’ll forever be, and love, we all deserve. One that dares to see you, dares to hold you, and dares to dream with you every step of the way. North Star breathes deep in a kind of love that is crucial we believe in, this magical thing that’s always with us and guiding us like the stars that live above us far beyond forever and ever.”

The single offers a first look at Even Flowers Can Bruise, a debut album that explores vulnerability, relationships, and personal growth.

Azure Ryder is a Sydney-born singer-songwriter who has steadily built an audience through a series of EP releases including Running With The Wolves, Crazy With The Light and Ladder to the Moon. Her work has earned strong support across streaming and media, highlighting her emotive songwriting and distinctive vocal tone. As a live performer, she has toured nationally and supported artists such as Teddy Swims, Angus & Julia Stone, Matt Corby, and Alexander Stewart.

With Even Flowers Can Bruise, Azure steps fully into her own light. Both delicate and powerful, her music continues to bloom in unexpected ways — reminding us that even the softest things can carry strength, and that beauty and resilience often grow side by side.

BELLA MACKENZIE STOKES THE FIRE WITH NEW SINGLE ‘BLACKSMITH’ OUT NOW

LISTEN

Rising Australian artist Bella Mackenzie shares her new single ‘Blacksmith’, the second taste of a new body of work set to be announced soon.

Much like her previous single ‘There Must Be A Fire’, ‘Blacksmith’ sees Bella step further into a bolder, sonic lane, paired with gritty, powerful visuals filmed in Broken Hill, South Australia. A vulnerable, self-encouraging portrait, written entirely by Bella alone, her new single explores resilience in the face of betrayal, and the power in turning trauma into strength.

Fresh off the stage of CMC Rocks 2026, the NSW based artist shares, “Before I decided to write ‘Blacksmith’, I was really struggling with the concept of how someone who you’ve known your whole life, someone who is supposed to love you unconditionally, could have a motive to want to tear you down & see you fail. I guess I’m lucky that I had never experienced that until now, but I was finding it hard to wrap my head around. The easiest way for me to process these emotions is to write about them. Blacksmith is about realizing that no matter who they are, you should never accept bad treatment from anyone & that you can build something unbreakable when you let go of those people. I wrote this song on my own because of how vulnerable & real it is – I felt I was the only person who could really portray the story accurately in order to release the emotions I was feeling.“

With Bella’s distinctive vocals right up front, ‘Blacksmith’ is produced by Jacky McCormack, who performs guitar and banjo on the track, backed by moody pedal steel work of guitarist Travis Toy giving the new single a distinctly modern country feel.

Earlier this year, Bella teamed up with US artist Jake Banfield on the country-rocker ‘Tombstone Desperado’, following her Top 10 Australian Country Radio Chart hit ‘Grew Up Country’ with Homegrown Trio. ‘There Must Be A Fire’ also made noise internationally, selected as Baylen Leonards’ Spotlight Artist pick on Absolute Radio Country (UK).

Bella’s profile continues to grow across the country scene. She performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival at the start of the year, then most recently joined Riley Green on his ‘Cowboy As It Gets’ Australian Tour. Bella was recently announced as the face of the new fashion label, and favourite of Lainey Wilson, FAR MER by Whitney, fronting the labels collection “All My Exes”.

Nominated for Female Artist Of The Year at the Country Town Awards and over 4.8 million+ global streams, Bella has achieved multiple Top 10 Country Radio chart-topping singles including the recent single ‘Tombstone Desperado’ with Jake Banfield, ‘Grew Up Country’, ‘Down South’ and ‘Cowboy’.

New Orleans native Dr. John was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. His music combined New Orleans blues, jazz, R&B, soul, and funk. ‘Right Place, Wrong Time’ was the first single from Dr. John’s 1973 album, In the Right Place, and became the most popular single of his career. The song has been featured in various films and television shows, including Dazed And Confused and American Horror Story: Coven. DOWN’s cover of ‘Right Place, Wrong Time’ is an homage to Dr. John and his appearances on The Midnight Special TV series, a late night musical variety show that aired from 1972 to 1981.

Stream DOWN’s rendition of Dr. John’s ‘Right Place, Wrong Time’ HERE

In related DOWN news, the band will serve as direct support to Slayer on the special 40th anniversary of Reign In Blood show September 4th in Shakopee, Minnesota. Additional support will be provided by Suicidal Tendencies and Hatebreed. In December, DOWN will headline day two (December 5th) of this year’s edition of the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest Denver. The appearance marks the band’s first Denver appearance in over twelve years! See all confirmed DOWN shows below.

Earlier this month, Nuclear Blast Records announced the release of a remastered edition of Over The Under. Initially released in the autumn of 2007, DOWN’s third studio album was produced by Warren Riker and served as a true moment in time delivering over 60 heartfelt minutes of sonic frustration with songs addressing the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and personal turmoil.

The 2026 edition of Over The Under features remastered audio by Eric Koondel (Soilwork, Cynic, Malevolent Creation, Death) and marks the first time the LP will be officially available in the US market. Additionally, the CD and digital versions include bonus track ‘Invest In Fear’ (the first time the track will be available on a US physical release and on Digital Service Providers worldwide).

DOWN’s Over The Under remaster will be available on CD, LP, and digital formats on June 19th. Find preorders HERE

You know it’s DOWN as soon as you hear them. Currently featuring vocalist Philip H. Anselmo, guitarists Pepper Keenan and Kirk Windstein, drummer Jimmy Bower, and bassist Pat Bruders, there’s no mistaking those gargantuan riffs, swamp blues leads, crashing drums, and hypnotic howls for absolutely anybody else under the sun. The band upholds a certain tradition that countless fans celebrate, expanding their own musical mythos as they leave its pillars intact and untouched. With a collective resume encompassing Pantera, Corrosion Of Conformity, Crowbar, and EyeHateGod, the quintet puffed out its first haze of sonic smoke from the belly of gritty old New Orleans on the 1995 platinum-selling classic, NOLA. At that moment, they naturally summoned something akin to a ritual, continually partaking in it with critically revered offerings – Down II: A Bustle In Your Hedgerow in 2002, Down III: Over The Under in 2007, Down IV – Part One in 2012, and Down IV – Part Two in 2014. Their shows built a certain live lore with unforgettable runs alongside Metallica and Heaven & Hell, as well as coveted spots on iconic festivals like Download, Soundwave, Ozzfest, and so many others, forever delivering passionate, powerful, pure heavy music you can feel deep down in your soul.

METRIC. NEW ALBUM – ROMANTICIZE THE DIVE OUT NOW VIA THIRTY TIGERS

LISTEN HERE

Metric have released their new album, Romanticize The Dive – out now on Thirty Tigers. The album is preceded by lead singles “Crush Forever,” what frontwoman Emily Haines calls “my love letter to strong girls in this world,” “Time Is A Bomb,” a hard driving ode to seizing the moment with a dangerous adrenaline junkie edge; and “Victim Of Luck,” a mission statement tracing the band back to their early days and revisiting the tension, vulnerability, and hunger of youth.

At the heart of this LP is a song called “Tremolo.” It’s about breaking free of a fixation on what could have been and accepting how little we can control. Why didn’t I take another path at the crossroads? Crystal ball nobody can see. All of these question marks, what could have been, leave it on the slippery dance floor, dance with me. Circumstance is a bastard.

Watch visualizer here

For their tenth LP, Metric went back to the place where they met: New York City at the height of its indie-rock explosion. Recording once again at Electric Lady, Metric reunited with Fantasies and Synthetica producer Gavin Brown, joined by co-producers Jimmy Shaw, Liam O’Neil, and mix engineer John O’Mahoney. This emotional reunion sonically captures the thrill of the band’s earliest ascent, with all the chaos and possibility of the early-2000s music scene, and brings it into the cultural context of 2026.

3Time Is A Bomb

4Crush Forever

ABOUT METRIC: Metric is Emily Haines (vocals, keys), Jimmy Shaw (producer, guitar, keys), Joshua Winstead (bass guitar, keys) and Joules Scott Key (drums). They have spent over 20 years together in creative partnership and are releasing their 10th studio album in 2026 maintaining the original lineup.“The band has become Canadian indie-rock icons,” says Pitchfork. “Metric [has] their own increasingly rare success story.” The band resisted major label offers in favor of starting their own label and retaining control of their own material and career, and for the last two decades have found themselves on an unusual trajectory of increasing success while continuing to push their own artistic boundaries past conventional expectations.

Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw are also early members of Broken Social Scene. While Metric has always been their first priority, they have both written and performed songs on all of the collective’s albums from 2002-2017 including such tracks as “Almost Crimes,”“Swimmers,” “Sweetest Kill,” “Sentimental X’s” and “Protest Song.” Emily’s most notable contribution to the group is the breakout hit “Anthems For a Seventeen Year-Old Girl,” from the award winning album You Forgot It In People. Haines has also collaborated with numerous other artists, most famously striking up a strong creative connection with the late Lou Reed, who performed “Wanderlust” on Metric’s album Synthetica and joined Metric on stage at their sold out headlining show at Radio City Music Hall in 2013 to perform “Wanderlust” and the Velvet Underground’s “Pale Blue Eyes.” Haines worked with Lou Reed on various additional live events overseen by the late producer Hal Willner as well as performing “Ballrooms of Mars” on Willner’s final tribute album, Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs Of Marc Bolan and T. Rex alongside U2, Nick Cave, Joan Jett, and others. Haines has released three solo studio albums, including the acclaimed Knives Don’t Have Your Back. Jimmy Shaw has also released a solo album and works as a sought after, JUNO award-winning producer.

Metric have a long history of creating music for film, starting in 2004 with their appearance in Olivier Assayas’ Clean, acting and performing their song “Dead Disco.” In his Scott Pilgrim series, graphic novelist Bryan Lee O’Malley based his fictional band Clash at the Demon Head on his experience of live Metric performances, and director Edgar Wright used their song “Black Sheep” in his 2010 film adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Also in 2010, Metric contributed the theme song “Eclipse (All Yours)” to The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack which they co-wrote with Howard Shore. In 2012, they won a CSA (Canadian Screen Award) for their score of David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, also with Howard Shore. Metric songs have been featured in numerous feature films and television shows including Grey’s Anatomy, The L Word, Zombieland, Nikki Glaser’s HBO Special Good Clean Filth, the hit animated film Nimona, and popular Netflix shows Wayward and I Love LA in 2025 and Tell Me Lies in 2026.

Both Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw grew up surrounded by art. Haines was born in New Delhi where her father, poet Paul Haines, was writing the lyrics for Carla Bley’s monumental Escalator Over the Hill and her activist/teacher mother Jo ran a household steeped in experimental art and discourse stemming from their years in the Greenwich Village scene in the early 1960s. Born in the UK and raised in Toronto, Jimmy Shaw spent the first half of his life immersed in classical music and was accepted at the age of fifteen to the Curtis Institute in Boston and later graduated from the Juilliard Music School in New York. Metric has been nominated for numerous Polaris Music Prize and JUNO Awards, including five wins. Metric has appeared on The Tonight Show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Later…With Jools Holland and has toured extensively, playing headline shows and festivals around the world.

GRAMMY-Winning singer, songwriter & Rap legend Everlast  announces 1st album in 8 years Embers to Ashes

Out August 28 on Martyr Inc Records in partnership with Thirty Tigers & Regime Music Group

GRAMMY-winning Irish-American rapper, singer & songwriter Everlast officially announced Embers to Ashes, his first album in eight years out August 28 on his own Martyr Inc Records, in partnership with Thirty Tigers and Regime Music Group  (more via VarietyBillboard & SPIN). Produced by Yelawolf, mixed by Chris Lord-Alge, and with cover art by award-winning Tristan Eaton, the Americana and bluesy roots-rock album tells tales of glory grasped and lost, the sudden swerves that change a life’s trajectory, and hard-earned wisdom and warnings.

Also out now is second single “My Hollywood”, a lighter hearted take on the ups and downs of success in the entertainment world, following the first single and music video for “Stones”, a journey from self loathing to self healing and forgiveness (“soulful and heartfelt” – VICE, “a masterclass in the genre-bending style Everlast pioneered” – BroBible).

LISTEN | WATCH THE OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO FOR MY HOLLYWOOD

There are two mantras Everlast keeps close: whatever’s happening is inevitable, and this too shall pass. The philosophy comes into focus on Embers to Ashes, shaped by a decade that saw his Los Angeles home burn down in the 2018 Woolsey fire, the pandemic, a divorce and more.

But the seed was planted a decade before. In 2015, Everlast was in Berlin with plans to head to Paris for Eagles of Death Metal at Le Bataclan, and ended up staying to catch Yelawolf instead. That night, Yelawolf told him he’d love to produce a record for him, just as news started coming through that something bad had happened in Paris. Ten years later, they connected in Nashville to make Embers to Ashes, with Yelawolf producing – encouraging him to bring in co-writers like David Ray (Jelly Roll, Teddy Swims).

Maybe it’s hard to understand how the guy who recorded one of the biggest breakout hip-hop hits in history (1992’s “Jump Around” with his old group House of Pain) as well as the enduring empathy anthem of the 20th century (1998’s “What It’s Like”) could go from Armand de Brignac to Canadian Club (“We went from champagne and crystal glasses to drinking cheap whiskey out of plastic,” he growls on “Stones”). After all, this is the same man who won a GRAMMY with Santana and went on to redefine rap’s relationship with blues and rock. But here’s the thing: this too shall pass.

This immediacy rings true in the sound and feel of Embers to Ashes. In Everlast’s own words, “the album is a collection of songs that revolve around my last decade, not necessarily autobiographical but ‘inspired by’ the chaos, losses and a few wins.”

Songs like the pensive “Losing Man’s Game,” the bittersweet “Love Don’t Heal,” and even the bouncy “Broken Heart for Hire” find him confronting the phases of heartbreak, from hurt to rage to numbness. Narrative pieces like the murder ballad “Never Coming Home” and the thoughtful “Happy You Can Cry” — a reflection on the meaning of freedom through the life of a woman down on her luck — fit comfortably in the tradition of honest, Springsteenian glimpses at  American life. And, of course, Everlast’s story enters into fray, too. On “1987,” he recalls a  simpler time of hanging out on the west side of the valley, right before he made a record with Ice T and — ultimately — endures through life’s deepest lows on “Embers to Ashes.”

The wider world, with all its own hurt, looms throughout the record as well. On the ghostly  protest song “Rubber Bullets,” written as Everlast watched the fallout of George Floyd’s  murder, he reminds listeners: “Rubber bullets kill exactly like the real ones.” A warm backyard bonfire singalong provides the us-against-the-world atmosphere for “Lies.” The incendiary “Peace of Mind” mixes down-home blues and epic rock as Everlast takes aim at the absurdity of modern life and escapism. And to close things down, the hopeful “Young Man” offers up the clearest of that aforementioned hard-earned wisdom, as Everlast assumes the role of elder, imparting what he’s learned during a life truly lived to those — like his two daughters — who are just setting out.

This practice of doing the work to see the whole picture and accepting what he finds, warts and all, is the secret sauce that makes Everlast’s entire catalog so compelling. With Embers to Ashes — a collection of typically unflinching and moving music from a master of the medium — he renders our universal experiences, loss, struggle, hope, growth, in a way that gets to the heart of it all.

ANNA JEAVONS BEAUTIFULLY NAVIGATES COMPLEX EMOTIONS  WITH STUDIO ALBUM ANOMIE

Using music as a point of escape and as a remedy, Anna Jeavons delivers songs that captivate on first impact. A unique voice in Adelaide’s indie scene, the songwriter has been consistently building a body of work that combines intimacy, emotional nuance and nostalgia.  STREAM

ANOMIE is the name of the 2026 studio album: a collection of songs exploring the turbulent emotional terrain of one’s twenties – everything from existential angst to unrequited love. ANOMIE was brought to life with the help of Ben Stewart (Slowly Slowly), who took the reins on production. As Australian emo royalty, Stewart was perfectly placed to amplify the songs’ emotional weight.

As Jeavons describes, “Anomie is for anyone who feels lost and lonely. It speaks to the anxiety of trying to make the leap from juvenescence to adulthood – and not quite getting it right. The word “Anomie” refers to the lack of moral guidelines in the modern world, and the sense of rootlessness this can cause.

Sometimes I call the genre “pathos pop”, often having a poignant quality that evokes sadness”.

The record comprises 12 songs that were written over the course of ten years. In the lead up to its release, Jeavons shared a range of emotive singles, including ‘Smart Casual’, ‘Woo Me’, ‘On The Sidelines’ and ‘Milky’.

New feature track ‘A Vow’, releasing alongside a DIY music video, once again shows Jeavons’ poignancy as a songwriter. A song about human complexity in how we connect, it offers unique insight into Anna’s perspective on relationships.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the ways humans operate and interact. I’m really interested in the idea of relationships as vehicles for growth and self-development.

Our loved ones mirror our greatest weaknesses back to us. In close proximity, we cannot hide behind a mask. So, our intimate relationships are some of our greatest teachers. I wrote this song when I was single – about what I was looking for in a future relationship: to be always growing.

ANNA JEAVONS: A Vow goes to show that, although ANOMIE’s title and themes are dark in many ways, threads of brightness can be found throughout. In Jeavons’ performance and narration, the listener is invited to lose themselves in the reflective lyrics, beautiful arrangements, and underlying optimism.

This is an album for listeners to find comfort in where needed, and a reminder that – although it can be hard and confusing to be a human – we are rarely alone in our grievances.

“My music’s about catharsis; for myself and for others if I’m lucky. It’s a place where I can open up free of judgement and reflect. In sharing my songs, I give others permission to do the same. I hope I can help some listeners feel less alone.”

On Saturday 6 June, Jeavons will officially celebrate the album’s launch with a full-band show at accessible venue Nexus Arts in Adelaide. Presented by local indie collective Runt! Records, the event is set to turn up the emotion, with performances from indie star Sofia Menguita and Melbourne’s Eaglemont.

ANOMIE IS RELEASED WEDNESDAY 29 APRIL

MELBOURNE FAVES STRIP BACK FOR RARE INTIMATE PERFORMANCE IN NORTHCOTE

The Crystal Ship return in a rare and intimate form with an exclusive Unplugged performance at The Wesley Anne.

Known for their hypnotic blend of psychedelic raga rock, the band strips back everything for one ephemeral night of raw unamplified sonic magic.

After a run of electrifying sold-out shows over the last 12 months, this special performance reimagines their music in its most organic form. Miles Rothe and Nic Durant, in common times on electric guitar and bass respectively, will swap out their instruments for acoustic guitars, mandolins, acoustic bass and piano.

The typically bombastic Ned Fillingham will be on a broken drum kit with brushes and mallets, and crowned with the unmistakable vocals of frontman Anant Caprihan, the night will be a kaleidoscope of raga style accouticality with an Age of Aquarius meets MTV Unplugged type vista.

Set in the chapel-esque atmosphere of the beautiful Wesley Anne, the night will be a rare chance to witness The Crystal Ship transmit their deeply evocative songwriting with a quiet focus on the lyrics and melodies behind songs that are usually steeped in a megaton of psychedelic grit and sonic valour.

For OG fans and newcomers to the church of The Crystal Ship alike, this is not just a gig, but a moment in time… a ceremonial peek behind the curtain of a band mid ascension, unveiled and transcendent.

VINTED VINEER STEP INTO FRESH CHAPTER WITH NEW STUDIO ALBUM ‘LAMENT’

The journey VINTED VINEER has taken that has led them to the release of a brand new collection of music in LAMENT, is one that has seen the Brisbane indie group evolve into one of the city’s most exciting fresh names.

LAMENT is the culmination of memories, moments of reflection and introspection; charting one’s navigation through a broad spectrum of emotions, against the backdrop of a fleshed out fusion of sounds. Encompassing indie, psychedelic and alternative musical elements, VINTED VINEER confidently pushed themselves into new creative territory in bringing this project together and as they describe, the end result lands “almost like a journal”.

“The title felt right straight away. It’s simple, but it captures a pretty complex emotional space. There’s a sense of it being a complaint, or just an outlet, which ties everything together. Compared to our earlier work, the album feels more direct and controlled. Less washed out, more intentional.

There’s no big overarching message, it’s just an honest set of songs with their own character, written in a time that was sometimes a bit heavy, but also really enjoyable creatively. By the end of the record, I just want people to feel like they understand where I’m coming from, and maybe take a small piece of it with them.” VINTED VINEER

Featuring tracks like the previously released singles ‘blockspitter’, ‘underthetable’ and ‘you’, LAMENT has seen VINTED VINEER explore darker, textured sonic notes whilst also letting their natural talents as lyricists and performers shine. Lead track ‘mirage’ is a perfect example of how the band let feelings of melancholy blend with a spirit of experimentation in the studio, in bringing together a song that feels heavier and more layered than previous work.

“It pushes our production further than anything else on the record and really captures the overall sound and mood of the album. There’s reverse guitar work, sampling, and a lot more going on, while still keeping that dark, reflective feel. It’s less about a specific story and more about a general feeling. The melodies lead it, with lines like “run from the sun” tying into that slightly psychedelic, mirage-like atmosphere. It was a slower build. The chords had been sitting around for a while before everything clicked once we started reversing parts and layering it out. A last-minute acoustic addition ended up completely changing the track for the better. If there’s one song that sums up the album, this is it.” VINTED VINEER

Recorded with RUBEN MCINTYRE (Armach), the album was created and nurtured in an environment every player felt comfortable within – the chemistry within the band is matched by the trust and level of exchange held with the producer and engineering team.

“The album was recorded across a few different spaces, mostly at home in my own setup, as well as at Ruben McIntyre’s place and Chris’s studio at Underground Audio. Ruben produced the record, and I worked very closely with him throughout. We’ve known each other since we were kids, so it’s a really natural working relationship. It took about two to three years from early demos to the final masters.

The process was pretty fluid, with writing and recording often happening at the same time. Some early demo ideas even made it into the final versions. A big shift along the way was learning to simplify things. Stripping back layers and focusing on what actually mattered, rather than overworking songs.” VINTED VINEER

With influences pointing towards artists like The Smiths, Jessica Pratt and Lionmilk, the record is a concise and ambitious effort from a band who is deservedly, one to watch as 2026 rolls out. Since releasing their debut EP in 2023, VINTED VINEER have carved themselves an impressive place in the local Brisbane scene. Headline performances as well as shows with the likes of Velvet Trip and dust have placed the band on more radars, with industry support only bolstering for them with each release.

VINTED VINEER’s profile as live performers has grown consistentl

EIVOR Reveals Otherworldly New Song ‘Healer’

Uniquely talented Faroese artist Eivør has revealed a brand-new song. With her new single ‘Healer’, Eivør opens the door to a new chapter, one rooted in vulnerability, strength and transformation.

Watch the ‘Healer’ video: https://youtu.be/RXkDNKS9q5k

Marking her first release since the 2024 album ENN, ‘Healer’ arrives after an extended period of international touring, where Eivør has performed across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, steadily deepening her connection with a global audience.

Set within a dark, atmospheric sound world, ‘Healer’ blends a distorted piano-led bass line with cinematic strings and ambient textures. Driven by a steady, pulsing rhythm and carried by Eivør’s raw, expressive vocals, the track moves between fragility and release, like letting go in a storm while still carrying everything you’ve been through.

At its core, the song is a reflection on self-worth and resilience. It captures the tension between falling and finding your footing again, holding space for both doubt and quiet strength.

Eivør explains: “‘Healer’ is a conversation with my younger self – the one who once doubted everything and didn’t feel like she was enough. It lives in the space of falling and finding your footing. The song holds onto the idea that even in those moments, something stronger is quietly building.”

The accompanying video, directed by Faroese filmmaker Katrin Joensen-Næs, extends the emotional world of the song through a stark and symbolic visual language. Shot entirely in black and white, the film unfolds around two mirrored figures, exploring themes of identity, transformation and inner dialogue. All production design and costumes are created within this monochrome palette, reinforcing a visual language that reflects an inner emotional landscape. The video is inspired by the idea that time heals all wounds.

Following a period of near-continuous touring, ‘Healer’ signals a shift towards a more direct and emotionally immediate form of songwriting, while retaining the depth and physical intensity that define her work.

Eivør continues: “I poured my heart into this song. I hope it meets you where you are, and maybe offers you a sense of strength and healing.”

Eivør is one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from the Nordic music scene, an artist whose work bridges ancient tradition and contemporary sound. Raised in the Faroe Islands, her music is deeply shaped by the stark landscapes and communal singing culture of her homeland, where music is both ritual and everyday expression.

Blending elements of Nordic folk, cinematic composition and modern production, Eivør has built a genre-defying catalogue across 11 studio albums. Her sound moves fluidly between the primal and the refined, combining raw vocal techniques, atmospheric textures and rhythmic intensity. In 2021, she was awarded the Nordic Council Music Prize, recognising her unique artistic voice and contribution to contemporary music.

Alongside her solo work, Eivør has gained international recognition for her compositions for film, television and games, including The Last Kingdom and God of War, where her voice and writing have helped define expansive, emotionally driven sound worlds.

Eivør is an established international live artist, having toured extensively across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand in recent years. Following the release of her latest album ENN, she has continued to grow her global audience through major headline touring. Her live performances are known for their intensity and emotional depth, translating the physical and atmospheric qualities of her music into a powerful on-stage experience.

Eivør’s music occupies a dark, atmospheric space shaped by cinematic composition, ambient electronic elements and touches of alternative and Nordic -influenced sound. Rooted in tradition yet distinctly contemporary, her work carries a strong emotional undercurrent and a sense of physical presence. Now signed to Nuclear Blast, her latest music marks the beginning of a new chapter, more direct, intimate and sonically focused, while retaining the depth that defines her work.

‘One Note at a Time’ New album from Danny Widdicombe and The Wand’rin’ Stars

Out now through Futurfonic Records

‘One Note at a Time’ is the new album from multiple Qld Music Award winner and 3 time ARIA nominated singer / songwriter Danny Widdicombe and his band of country music  virtuosos – The Wand’rin’ Stars.

Written through the lens of Willie Nelson’s mid 70’s songwriting and recording approach, ‘One  Note at a Time’ features 8 new tracks recorded live in the studio by Danny and the Wand’rin’  Stars.

The lyrics touch on David Lynch’s ‘Twin Peaks’, heart on the sleeve ballads, a tirade against a  certain maniacal dictator, tongue in cheek stories from being locked in hospital, psychedelic  spaghetti western experiences, and tales from the road.

For this release, Danny put a band of country music virtuosos together – Michel Rose on pedal  steel (Slim Dusty, John Williamson), Luke Moller on fiddle (Dolly Parton, Kasey Chambers, Delta  Goodrem), Brendan St. Ledger on piano (Wendy Matthews), Gus Fenwick on bass (Brian Cadd),  Doug Gallacher (Slim Dusty, John Williamson).

For the recording, the band sat in a circle and played the songs live at Alchemix studio in Sth  Brisbane – the same place the Bluey soundtrack is created. Capturing the songs in this format  creates both an innate sense on camaraderie, and spontaneity in the music. They managed to  record the whole album in one day, with some overdubs finished at Danny’s home studio.

‘One Note at a Time’ is  released on Willie Nelson’s birthday, April 29, 2026, and is available on all streaming platforms.
