Town Folk Festival unveils its first 21 artists for 2026, an impressive assortment of local and international talent who will all descend on Djaara / Castlemaine on Saturday, 21st November.
Now in its 6th year, Town Folk is holding firm as the little festival with the grand vision. For those in the know, it is the day to discover new artists of a contemporary folk flavour; a carefully curated choose-your-own-adventure in an easy-going boutique format. Performances take place across four unique stages, all just a short walk from one another. It’s a musical smorgasbord where punters are guaranteed to land on something special.
Led by the New Zealand’s mercurial eccentric Aldous Harding and mid-west folk romantic Kevin Morby (USA), the lineup also features Dutch psych-instrumental outfit YĪN YĪN, Melbourne’s world-conquering queens Folk Bitch Trio, the long-awaited Australian debut of Flyte (UK), slow-core New York storyteller Allegra Krieger, WA bush reggae sensations Docker River Band, plus local heroes Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Way Dynamic, Romy Vager and so many more.
An accessible and family-friendly festival experience, Town Folk champions community, camaraderie, local produce and incredible music performances. Official festival venues The Bridge Hotel, Shedshaker Taproom, and Boomtown Winery are at the centre of the action, all on one perfect day in regional Victoria.
Town Folk Festival is supported by the Federal Government through Live Music Australia, Visit Victoria and Mount Alexander Shire Council.
