Tyler Hilton & Kate Voegele from iconic US TV program One Tree Hill, are currently in Australia following on from a successful solo tour from Tyler Hilton in 2025.
When Kate Voegele and Tyler Hilton stepped on stage for their One Tree Hill tour stop at The Lansdowne in Sydney, the room felt like a reunion for a generation raised on the show’s famously emotional soundtrack. For the uninitiated, they played Mia Catalano and Chris Keller on One Tree Hill, fictional musicians who somehow became very real to fans who grew up with the series like I did.
Hilton brought the swagger that made Chris Keller such a scene stealer, that loveable menace energy he always had, while Voegele’s effortless vocals reminded everyone why songs like “Sweet Silver Lining” and “99 Times” became staples of mid 2000s playlists.
What made the night land wasn’t nostalgia alone. Between songs they traded stories from the show and leaned into the loose, conversational energy of two musicians who clearly enjoy sharing a stage.
Since it’s found a new fan base from streaming it was amazing to see a crowd at the front of fans way too young to have even around when it was first on tv, and the older OG fans hanging out at the back happily reminiscing on their youth.
It was such a familiar and beautiful evening with two artists, a few guitars, and the strange, enduring power of a soundtrack that refuses to age.
