Vacations announce the Holy Grail Tour this summer across the U.S., Asia and Australia. The tour will showcase the band in intimate venues to celebrate the impending release of their new single, Holy Grail, on May 12 from a forthcoming album out later this year.
The run of dates also includes the band’s very own MATES Festival with the third instalment taking place at Knockdown Center in Queens, New York on Saturday, June 20th. The all-day, full-building, multi-stage event will take over the Main Hall and Ruins at Knockdown Center, and feature Vacations, grentperez, girlpuppy, Mamalarky, Alex Lahey, Horse Jumper of Love, Thelma Plum, and Winter. Vacations is an Australian indie rock band formed in 2015 in Newcastle. The group features lead songwriter and vocalist Campbell Burns, bassist Jake Johnson, guitarist Nate Delizzotti, and drummer Joseph Van Lier. Known for their signature sound, the band blends indie pop with elements of jangle and lo-fi.
They first gained traction with their early EPs Days (2015) and Vibes (2016), the latter featuring breakout singles “Young” certified Double Platinum in the U.S. and Canada, Platinum in Australia, Silver in the U.K., and Gold in New Zealand and the Philippines and “Relax,” certified Gold in the U.S. and Canada.
Their 2018 debut album Changes included the fan-favorite “Telephones,” now certified Platinum in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and Gold in New Zealand and the Philippines. This was followed by Forever in Bloom (2020) and No Place Like Home (2024), which propelled the band to new global heights, culminating in sold-out international tours and their U.S. television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, followed by appearances on Stephen Colbert’s #LateShowMeMusic Series and CBS Saturday Morning. After a year spent recording, the band are ready to get back on stage, play new music, and give fans an early glimpse of what’s to come.
